| 1 | Status and development of high-power laser facilities at the NLHPLP显示文摘In this paper, we review the status of the multifunctional experimental platform at the National Laboratory of High Power Laser and Physics(NLHPLP). The platform, including the SG-II laser facility, SG-II 9th beam, SG-II upgrade(SG-II UP) facility, and SG-II 5 PW facility, is operational and available for interested scientists studying inertial confinement fusion(ICF) and a broad range of high-energy-density physics. These facilities can provide important experimental capabilities by combining different pulse widths of nanosecond, picosecond, and femtosecond scales. In addition, the SG-II UP facility, consisting of a single petawatt system and an eight-beam nanosecond system, is introduced including several laser technologies that have been developed to ensure the performance of the facility. | 2 | Fluoride removal from brackish groundwater by direct contact membrane distillation显示文摘The direct contact membrane distillation applied for fluoride removal from brackish groundwater was investigated.The self-prepared polyvinylidene fluoride membrane exhibited high rejection of inorganic salt solutes.The maximum permeate flux 35.6 kg/(m2 ·hr) was obtained with the feed solution at 80°C and the cold distillate water at 20°C.The feed concentration had no significant impact on the permeate flux and the rejection in fluoride.The precipitation of CaCO3 would clog the hollow fiber inlets and foul the membrane surface with increasing concentration factor when natural groundwater was used directly as the feed,which resulted in a rapid decline in the module efficiency.This phenomenon was diminished by acidification of the feed.The experimental results showed that the permeate flux and the quality of obtained distillate kept stable before concentration factor reached 5.0 with the acidified groundwater as feed.The membrane module efficiency began to decline gradually when the feed continued to be concentrated,which can be mainly attributed to the formation of CaF2 deposits on the membrane surface.In addition,a 300 hr continuous fluoride removal experiment of acidified groundwater was carried out with concentration factor at 4.0,the permeate flux kept stable and the permeate fluoride was not detected. | Deyin Hou Jun Wang Changwei Zhao Baoqiang Wang Zhaokun Luan Xiangcheng Sun | 2010 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,12: | 7 |
| 3 | Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Wire + Arc Additively Manufactured 2050 Al–Li Alloy Wall Deposits显示文摘Aluminum–Lithium(Al–Li) alloy is a topic of great interest owing to its high strength and light weight, but there are only a few applications of Al–Li alloy in wire ss, a special AA2050 Al–Li alloy + arc additive manufacturing(WAAM) process. To identify its feasibility in WAAM procewire was produced and employed in the production of straight-walled components, using a WAAM system based on variable polarity gas tungsten arc welding(VP-GTAW) process. The influence of post-deposited heat treatment on the microstructure and property of the deposit was investigated using optical micrographs(OM), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD), hardness and tensile properties tests. Results revealed that the microstructures of AA2050 aluminum deposits varied with their location layers. The upper layers consisted of fine equiaxed grains, while the bottom layer exhibited a coarse columnar structure. Mechanical properties witnessed a significant improvement after post-deposited heat treatment, with the average micro-hardness reaching 141 HV and the ultimate tensile strength exceeding 400 MPa. | 4 | A multicenter retrospective cohort study of ketogenic diet therapy in 481 children with infantile spasms显示文摘Background:Ketogenic diet(KD)therapy is one of the main treatments for drug-resistant epilepsy.However,the KD therapy has been applied in only a small number of infantile spasm cases.In this large multicenter study,we investigated the efficacy of KD therapy in the treatment of infantile spasms.Methods:In this retrospective,multicenter cohort study,clinical data from main epilepsy centers were analyzed.Patients were classified into different groups according to age,type of drug and whether glucocorticoid was used before initiation of KD.Results:From October 2014 to March 2020,481 patients(308 males and 173 females)with infantile spasms were treated with the KD therapy.The age of the patients ranged from 2 months to 20 years,with a mean age of 1 year and 10 months.The number of anti-seizure medications(ASMs)used before KD initiation ranged 0-6,with a median of 3.In different time from initiation(1,3,6,and 12 months),the rates of seizure freedom after KD were 6.9,11.6;16.0 and 16.8%,respectively(x^(2)=27.1772,P<0.0001).There was a significant difference in the rate of seizure freedom between 3 months and 1 month(x^(2)=6.5498,P=0.0105)groups,and 6 months and 3 months(x^(2)=3.8478,P=0.0498)groups,but not between 12 months and 6 months(x^(2)=0.1212,P=0.7278)groups.The rates of effectiveness were 44.7;62.8,49.1 and 32.0%(x^(2)=93.2674,P<0.0001),respectively.The retention rates were 94.0,82.5,55.7 and 33.1%(x^(2)=483.7551,P<0.0001),correspondingly.The rate of effectiveness and the retention rate of KD were significantly different among the 1,3,6 and 12 months.KD treatment was the first choice in 25 patients(5.2%),55 patients(11.4%)started KD after the failure of the first ASM,158 patients(32.8%)started KD after the failure of the second ASM,157 patients(32.6%)started KD after the failure of the third drug,and 86 patients(17.9%)started KD after the failure of the fourth and more.The KD effect was not related to the number of ASMs used before KD startup(P>0.05).Two hundred and eighteen patients(45.3%)failed to respond to corticotropin or glucocorticoid before initiation.There was no significant difference in the effectiveness rate at different time points between the group of KD therapy after glucocorticoid failure and the group after non-hormone failure (x^(2)=0.8613,P=0.8348).The rate of adverse events of KD in 1,3,6,and 12 months after KD initiation were 22.3,21.7,16.8 and 6.9%,respectively.The adverse events mainly occurred during the first 3 months of KD,and the main adverse events were gastrointestinal disturbance and constipation.Conclusions:The efficacy of the KD treatment for infantile spasms was not affected by age,medication,and glucocorticoid use before initiation.KD is one of the effective treatments for infantile spasms. | Yuanzhen Ye Dan Sun Hua Li Jianmin Zhong Rong Luo Baomin Li Dengna Zhu Dan Li Shaoping Huang Yuwu Jiang Nong Xiao Yucai Chen Yuqin Zhang Mei Yu Xiaoyun Shen Li Gao Guo Zheng Congmin Zhao Baoqiang Yuan Jianxiang Liao Jiong Qin CAAE KD group | 2022 | Acta Epileptologica2022,5,1: | 2 |

| 9 | Modeling Building Method of Lissajous Figure Reversal Period Based on the Group Quantization Phase Processing显示文摘To deeply understand the essential relationship between two different-frequency signals and explore the phase synchronization law in frequency standard comparison, a novel modeling building method of Lissajous figure reversal period is proposed based on the group quantization phase processing. The relationships between the Lissajous figure reversal period and group period are revealed. The frequency deviation and nominal frequency of the measured signal are obtained using the group period and number of inflection point in the Lissajous figure. The results of a frequency standard comparison can accurately achieved using the frequency deviation. A lot of noise problems introduced by the frequency divider, frequency multiplier and frequency mixer are solved in the traditional frequency standard comparison, and the high-precision frequency standard comparison results can be quickly obtained using the proposed method. | 10 | Extraction of copper from copper-bearing biotite by ultrasonic-assisted leaching显示文摘Copper-bearing biotite is a refractory copper mineral found on the surface of the Zambian Copperbelt.Biotite is a copper oxide from which copper is extracted by various methods,especially by leaching.Leaching is the process of extracting a substance from a solid material dissolved in a liquid.To improve the efficiency of the leaching process by a more effective method,a new method called ultrasonic-assisted acid leaching is proposed and applied in this study.Compared with regular acid leaching,the ultrasound method reduced the leaching time from 120 to 40 min,and sulfuric acid concentration reduced from 0.5 to 0.3 mol·L^(-1).Besides,leaching temperature could be reduced from 75 to 45°C at the leaching rate of 78%.The mechanism analysis indicates that an ultrasonic wave can cause the delamination of a copper-bearing biotite and increase its specific surface area from 0.55 to 1.67 m^(2)·g^(-1).The results indicate that copper extraction from copper-bearing biotite by ultrasonic-assisted acid leaching is more effective than regular acid leaching.This study proposes a promising method for recycling valuable metals from phyllosilicate minerals. | Baoqiang Yu Jue Kou Chunbao Sun Yi Xing | 2022 | International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,2: | 0 |
| 11 | 300 km ultralong fiber optic DAS system based on optimally designed bidirectional EDFA relays显示文摘Optical fiber distributed acoustic sensing(DAS)based on phase-sensitive optical time domain reflectometry(φ-OTDR)is in great demand in many long-distance application fields,such as railway and pipeline safety monitoring.However,the DAS measurement distance is limited by the transmission loss of optical fiber and ultralow backscattering power.In this paper,a DAS system based on multispan relay amplification is proposed,where the bidirectional erbium-doped fiber amplifier(EDFA)is designed as a relay module to amplify both the probe light and the backscattering light.In the theoretical noise model,the parameters of our system are carefully analyzed and optimized for a longer sensing distance,including the extinction ratio(ER),span number,span length,and gain of erbium-doped fiber amplifiers.The numerical simulation shows that a bidirectional EDFA relay DAS system can detect signals over 2500 km,as long as the span number is set to be more than 100.To verify the effectiveness of the scheme,a six-span coherent-detection-based DAS system with an optimal design was established,where the cascaded acoustic-optic modulators(AOMs)were used for a high ER of 104 dB.The results demonstrate that the signal at the far end of 300.2 km can be detected and recovered,achieving a high signal-to-noise ratio of 59.6 dB and a high strain resolution of 51.8■at 50 Hz with a 20 m spatial resolution.This is,to the best of our knowledge,a superior DAS sensing distance with such a high strain resolution. | CUNZHENG FAN HAO LI KEQING ZHANG HUANHUAN LIU YIXIANG SUN HAOGUANG LIU BAOQIANG YAN ZHIJUN YAN DEMING LIU PERRY PING SHUM QIZHEN SUN | 2023 | Photonics Research2023,11,6: | 0 |
| 12 | Efficacy of Chinese herbal compound GAPT for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease during mouse/rat studies:A systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the efficacy of the Chinese herbal compound GAPT for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease(AD)and to provide current evidence for potential treatment mechanisms.Methods:A comprehensive search of PubMed,Embase,Web of Science,SinoMed,China Network Knowledge Infrastructure,Wanfang Data,and Chinese Scientific Journals Database was performed to identify GAPT mouse/rat studies published from inception to July 2019.The outcomes extracted were Morris water maze results and molecular biological quantifications.Results:A total of 19 studies were included in this analysis.The analysis indicated that GAPT was able to significantly improve learning and memory abilities compared with model mice/rats,as assessed by Morris water maze,and showed similar efficacy as donepezil.Subgroup analyses showed that low,medium,and high doses resulted in no obvious dose-dependent effects.Additionally,the GAPT group had significantly reduced expression levels of amyloid-beta peptide,presenilin 1,phosphorylated tau,acetylcholinesterase,and glycogen synthase kinase-3b,but increased expression levels of Shank1,and protein phosphatase-2A,and improved synapses structures compared with the model group,and subgroup analyses showed the medium dose of GAPT was superior to the low and high doses.Conclusions:Based on the pooled analysis,GAPT improved the learning and memory abilities and regulated the expression levels of related proteins during the progression of AD in mouse/rat studies.Notably,the medium dose of GAPT exhibited better performance than the other two doses,providing experimental evidence for further applications of GAPT during clinical practice. | Qingling Sun Jing Shi Jingnian Ni Mingqing Wei Xuekai Zhang Ting Li Pengwen Wang Baoqiang Guo Jinzhou Tian | 2019 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2019,6,4: | 0 |

| 14 | New Frequency Standard Comparison System Based on the Group Quantization Phase Processing显示文摘A new frequency standard comparison system is proposed based on the group quantization phase processing. By shortening the width of phase coincidence fuzzy area and capturing the best group phase coincidences, we reduce the randomness of the counting gate and improve the measurement precision of the comparison system. The method is based on the Fieldprogrammable gate array(FPGA), which not only retains the advantage using phase synchronization detection technology to overcome the ±1-word counting error, but also accelerates the system response time, simplifies the measurement equipment, and reduces the development cost and power consumption.
