1Deep Structural Framework and Genetic Analysis of Gold Concentration Areas in the Northwestern Jiaodong Peninsula, China: A New Understanding based on High-Resolution Reflective Seismic Survey显示文摘The gold concentration areas in the northwestern Jiaodong Peninsula constituted an important gold metallogenetic region in Eastern China during the Mesozoic. The deep geological bodies' texture characteristic is important for exploring the resources thoroughly and understanding the metallogenic process. The detailed textures were revealed using high-resolution seismic profiles through the three major ore-controlling structures-Sanshandao fault zone, Jiaojia fault zone and Zhaoping fault zone. This study aims to establish a deep structural framework of this area. Based on their formation mechanism, the fault structures developed in the area can be divided into regional and local fault structures. The structural styles are characterised by superimposing their compressional, strike-slip and extensional multi-stage activities. The crust is cut by vertical structures corresponding to a left-lateral strike-slip fault system on the surface. Nearby these structures are the arc-shape structures formed by multi-stage magma intrusions into the upper crust. Bounded by the Tancheng–Lujiang and Muping–Jimo fault zones, the current Jiaodong block, developed a series of NE-trending strike-slip fault systems, was probably formed by the assemblage of several obliquely aligned blocks. The intensive magmatism and hydrothermal activity between the blocks induced large-scale mineralisation. 2Ultrasensitive skin‐like wearable optical sensors based on glass micro/nanofibers显示文摘Electronic skin,a class of wearable electronic sensors that mimic the functionalities of human skin,has made remarkable success in applications including health monitoring,human-machine interaction and electronic-biological interfaces.While electronic skin continues to achieve higher sensitivity and faster response,its ultimate performance is fundamentally limited by the nature of low-frequency AC currents.Herein,highly sensitive skin-like wearable optical sensors are demonstrated by embedding glass micro/nanofibers(MNFs)in thin layers of polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS).Enabled by the transition from guided modes into radiation modes of the waveguiding MNFs upon external stimuli,the skin-like optical sensors show ultrahigh sensitivity(1870 k·Pa^-1),low detection limit(7 mPa)and fast response(10μs)for pressure sensing,significantly exceeding the performance metrics of state-of-the-art electronic skins.Electromagnetic interference(EMI)-free detection of high-frequency vibrations,wrist pulse and human voice are realized.Moreover,a five-sensor optical data glove and a 2×2-MNF tactile sensor are demonstrated.These initial results pave the way toward a new category of optical devices ranging from ultrasensitive wearable sensors to optical skins.Lei Zhang Jing Pan Zhang Zhang Hao Wu Ni Yao Dawei Cai Yingxin Xu Jin Zhang Guofei Sun Liqiang Wang Weidong Geng Wenguang Jin Wei Fang Dawei Di Limin Tong 2020Opto-Electronic Advances2020,3,3:12
3Total phenolic, flavonoid content, and antioxidant activity of flour, noodles, and steamed bread made from different colored wheat grains by three milling methods显示文摘The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of wheat variety, food processing, and milling method on antioxidant properties. Black wheat variety Heibaoshi 1 had the highest total phenolic content(659.8 μg gallic acid equivalents g-1), total flavonoid content(319.3 μg rutin equivalents g-1), and antioxidant activity, whereas light purple wheat variety Shandongzimai 1 had the lowest total flavonoid content(236.2 μg rutin equivalents g-1) and antioxidant activity. Whole wheat flour and partially debranned grain flour had significantly higher total phenolic contents, total flavonoid contents, and antioxidant activity than refined flour(P < 0.05). Compared with flour, total phenolic contents, total flavonoid contents and antioxidant activity decreased in noodles and steamed bread, whereas noodles had slightly higher total phenolic and flavonoid content than steamed bread. Antioxidant activities(by ferric reducing ability of plasma assay) of steamed bread made from whole wheat flour, partially debranned grain flour, and refined flour were 23.5%, 21.1%, and 31.6% lower, respectively, than the corresponding values of flour. 4Structural mechanism of cooperative activation of the human calcium-sensing receptor by Ca^(2+) ions and L-tryptophan显示文摘The human calcium-sensing receptor(CaSR)is a class C G protein-coupled receptor(GPCR)responsible for maintaining Ca^(2+)homeostasis in the blood.The general consensus is that extracellular Ca^(2+)is the principal agonist of CaSR.Aliphatic and aromatic L-amino acids,such as L-Phe and L-Trp,increase the sensitivity of CaSR towards Ca^(2+)and are considered allosteric activators.Crystal structures of the extracellular domain(ECD)of CaSR dimer have demonstrated Ca^(2+)and L-Trp binding sites and conformational changes of the ECD upon Ca^(2+)/L-Trp binding.However,it remains to be understood at the structural level how Ca^(2+)/L-Trp binding to the ECD leads to conformational changes in transmembrane domains(TMDs)and consequent CaSR activation.Here,we determined the structures of full-length human CaSR in the inactive state,Ca^(2+)-or L-Trp-bound states,and Ca^(2+)/L-Trp-bound active state using single-particle cryo-electron microscopy.Structural studies demonstrate that L-Trp binding induces the closure of the Venus flytrap(VFT)domain of CaSR,bringing the receptor into an intermediate active state.Ca^(2+)binding relays the conformational changes from the VFT domains to the TMDs,consequently inducing close contact between the two TMDs of dimeric CaSR,activating the receptor.Importantly,our structural and functional studies reveal that Ca^(2+)ions and L-Trp activate CaSR cooperatively.Amino acids are not able to activate CaSR alone,but can promote the receptor activation in the presence of Ca^(2+).Our data provide complementary insights into the activation of class C GPCRs and may aid in the development of novel drugs targeting CaSR.Shenglong Ling Pan Shi Sanling Liu Xianyu Meng Yingxin Zhou Wenjing Sun Shenghai Chang Xing Zhang Longhua Zhang Chaowei Shi Demeng Sun Lei Liu Changlin Tian 2021Cell Research2021,31,4:3

8SEM-CL Study of Quartz Containing Fluid Inclusions in Wangjiazhuang Porphyry Copper (-Molybdenum) Deposit, Western Shandong, China显示文摘The Wangjiazhuang porphyry copper(-molybdenum)deposit is located at Zouping volcanic basin in Shandong Province,East China and hosted in the Wangjiazhuang intrusive complex emplaced along a late volcanic conduit.There are two types of ores in this deposit:early disseminated and stockwork ores in the ore-bearing intrusion,and late massive sulfide-quartz veins above brecciated quartz monzonite.The ore minerals are mainly pyrite,chalcopyrite,and subordinately magnetite,tennantite,molybdenite with minor bornite,enargite,galena and sphalerite,etc.,and gangue minerals including K-feldspar,biotite,quartz,muscovite-sericite,chlorite and calcite.Combined with fluid inclusion study,the scanning electron microscope-cathodoluminescence(SEM-CL)study of quartz in the deposit and wall rocks shows significant differences between the two types of quartz in the ores.In addition,four types of primary-pseudosecondary fluid inclusions in the quartz have been recognized.They are one-or two-phase aqueous inclusions with vapor/liquid ratios less than 30%to 40%(type Ⅰ);gas-rich inclusions with vapor/liquid ratios more than 50%(type Ⅱ),some of which contain some small opaque minerals,probably chalcopyrite;multiphase fluid inclusions with daughter minerals of halite±anhydrite±opaque(chalcopyrite)±sylvite±hematite±unknown crystal(type Ⅲ);and mica-bearing fluid inclusions(type Ⅳ).Quartz containing abundant muscovite-bearing and halite-bearing fluid inclusions in the mineralized quartz monzonite with potassic-silicic alteration,have better oscillatory growth zoning with CL-colors from bright in the core to darker in the rim,indicating variations of element concentrations in the fluid media from which quartz grew during the later period of magmatic-hydrothermal process.In contrast,the quartz in the sulfide-quartz veins contains mainly fluid inclusions of low-to-medium salinities and does not show oscillatory zoning,indicating that there was less fluctuation in composition and element concentrations of the hydrothermal fluids.However,the quartz containing halite-bearing fluid inclusions and being associated with copper-molybdenum mineralization in the sulfide-quartz veins shows zoning in its rims,indicating variations in composition and element concentrations of the hydrothermal fluids.Lei Shu Kun Shen Renchao Yang Yingxin Song Yuqin Sun Wei Shan Yuxin Xiong 2020Journal of Earth Science2020,31,2:2

10Diversity and seasonal variation of marine phytoplankton in Jiaozhou Bay, China revealed by morphological observation and metabarcoding显示文摘Phytoplankton are central components of marine environments,and are major players in the production and respiration budgeting.However,their diversity and distribution patterns are still poorly understood due largely to their small sizes and inconspicuous morphology that have been determined via the application of traditional morphology methods over the past two decades.To better understand the composition and diversity of phytoplankton in Jiaozhou Bay,China,seasonal sampling was carried out in 2019 and samples were analyzed with morphological observations and high-throughput sequencing,from which obvious seasonal variations in phytoplankton composition and proportional abundances were uncovered.Metabarcoding revealed far more diversity and species richness of phytoplankton than morphological observations,especially with respect to dinofl agellates.Diatoms were the most dominant phytoplankton group throughout the year,of which Thalassionema and Skeletonema were co-dominant in the bay.Parasitic dinofl agellates(e.g.Amoebophrya),which is often overlooked in the morphological observations,were in dominance and high diversity in the metabarcoding dataset,thus more attention should be paid to exploring the potential role of parasitic dinofl agellates.Temperature,chlorophyll a,and nutrient levels were the main infl uential factors on the distribution of phytoplankton.This study provided a comprehensive morphological and molecular description of phytoplankton and clearly demonstrated the importance of molecular technology in exploring phytoplankton communities.More-widespread use of molecular technology will facilitate deeper understanding of the ecological importance of the diff erent species.Tiantian CHEN Yingxin ZHANG Shuqun SONG Yun LIU Xiaoxia SUN Caiwen LI 2022Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2022,40,2:1

12Egg laying and incubation rhythm of the Chinese Grouse(Tetrastes sewerzowi)at Lianhuashan,Gansu,China显示文摘Background:Incubating birds must balance the conflict between thermal needs of the developing embryos and their self?maintenance needs for energy.The Chinese Grouse (Tetrastes sewerzowi) lives in high mountain conifer forests and faces energy stress,cold environment,and predation pressure.Females might adjust incubation rhythm to adapt to these constraints. Methods:Two methods were used to investigate egg laying and incubation pattern of the Chinese Grouse;25 nests were monitored by data loggers and 12 nests by infrared video cameras. Results:Female Chinese Grouses usually laid an egg every 2 days.The incubation period was 28-31 days. Overall incubation constancy for Chinese Grouse was 93%. The females took 5.0 recesses per day and 34% of all 1696 recesses were taken in the crepuscular period. The average recess duration was 20.3 min. Females took more and shorter recesses in the latter part of incubation.The females who allocated more time to foraging had a higher reproductive success. Conclusions:Probably due to its high egg/body mass ratio,the Chinese Grouse has a long laying interval of 49 h. 16Influence of imidazole derivatives on the dielectric and energy storage performance of epoxy显示文摘Imidazoles are widely used as curing agents and accelerators for fabricating crosslinked epoxy materials applied in electrical and electronic fields.However,the intrinsic chemical structure of imidazole derivatives would greatly influence the polymerisation process,and further change the electrical properties,which was not emphasised.To achieve an in-depth understanding,commonly used imidazole only containing pyridine-type nitrogen and imidazole with both pyridine and pyrrole-type nitrogen were selected in this study.Electrical properties including dielectric properties,volume resistivity,breakdown strength,and especially energy storage performances were systematically investigated.We figured out that higher breakdown strength,glass transition temperature,and lower dielectric loss can be achieved with imidazole containing pyrrole-type nitrogen.Structure-induced curing mechanism diversity and the generated differences in polymer network were highlighted.With the capability to incorporate into the polymer network,the dielectric constant/loss of epoxy cured by imidazole containing pyrrole-type nitrogen is less sensitive with variation in concentration and a high breakdown strength of 577.9 MV/m was achieved.On the contrary,conspicuous decrease in the breakdown strength and increase in dielectric loss of the epoxy cured by imidazole only containing pyridine-type nitrogen were observed,especially at high concentration.Moreover,we also found that the epoxy can be fabricated into films with an attractive energy storage density/efficiency of 1.1 J/cm^(3)/97%@200 MV/m,which is twice of the commercial dielectric polypropylene film under the same electric field.Jiaming Luo Lei Zhang Wenjie Sun Jiale Mao Yiting Zheng Shuang Wang Ziqi Zhang Yingxin Chen Yonghong Cheng 2022High Voltage2022,7,4:1

19Prevention and Control Test of Semiaphis heraclei in Spring显示文摘[Objectives] The paper was to study the prevention and control effect of botanical pesticides on Semiaphis heraclei at different temperatures. [Methods] When the daily average temperatures in spring were 15 and 20 ℃, the control effects of 0.3% azadirachtin EC 500 times dilution and 0.3% matrine AS 1 000 times dilution on S. heraclei were studied. [Results] When the daily average temperature was 15 ℃, 0.3% azadirachtin EC 500 times dilution had relatively good control effect on S. heraclei, with a long duration. The prevention and control of S. heraclei in spring better controlled the population quantity of S. heraclei fundatrix and reduced the degree of harm. 20Environmental sustainability opportunity and socio-economic cost analyses of phosphorus recovery from sewage sludge显示文摘Although phosphorus(P)recovery and management from sewage sludge are practiced in North America and Europe,such practices are not yet to be implemented in China.Here,we evaluated the environmental sustainability opportunity and socio-economic costs of recovering P from sewage sludge by replacing the current-day treatments(CT;sludge treatment and landfill)and P chemical fertilizer application(CF)in China using life cycle assessment and life cycle costing methods.Three potential P recovery scenarios(PR1‒PR3:struvite,vivianite,and treated sludge)and corresponding current-day scenarios(CT1‒CT3 and CF)were considered.Results indicated that PR1 and PR2 have smaller environmental impacts than the current-day scenarios,whereas PR3 has larger impacts in most categories.PR3 has the lowest net costs(sum of internal costs and benefits,39.1-54.7 CNY per kg P),whereas PR2 has the lowest external costs(366.8 CNY per kg P).Societal costs for production and land use of 1 kg P by P recovery from sewage sludge(e.g.,∼527 CNY for PR1)are much higher than those of P chemical fertilizers(∼20 CNY for CF).However,considering the costs in the current-day treatments(e.g.,∼524 CNY for CT1),societal costs of P recovery scenarios are close to or slightly lower than those of current-day scenarios.Among the three P recovery scenarios,we found that recovering struvite as P fertilizer has the highest societal feasibility.This study will provide valuable information for improved sewage sludge management and will help promote the sustainable supply of P in China.Jiawen Xie Xingchen Zhuge Xixi Liu Qian Zhang Yiwen Liu Peizhe Sun Yingxin Zhao Yindong Tong 2023Environmental Science and Ecotechnology2023,,4:0
