| 1 | Effects of mindfulness-based intervention programs on sleep among people with common mental disorders:A systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘BACKGROUND Sleep problems are particularly prevalent in people with depression or anxiety disorder.Although mindfulness has been suggested as an important component in alleviating insomnia,no comprehensive review and meta-analysis has been conducted to evaluate the effects of different mindfulness-based intervention(MBI)programs on sleep among people with depression or anxiety disorder.AIM To compare the effects of different MBI programs on sleep among people with depression or anxiety disorder.METHODS Related publications in Embase,Medline,PubMed and PsycINFO databases were systematically searched from January 2010 to June 2020 for randomised controlled trials.Data were synthesized using a random-effects or a fixed-effects model to analyse the effects of various MBI programs on sleep problems among people with depression or anxiety disorder. The fixed-effects model was used when heterogeneity was negligible, and the random-effects model was used when heterogeneity was significant to calculate the standardised mean differences(SMDs)and 95%confidence intervals(CIs).RESULTS We identified 397 articles,of which 10 randomised controlled trials, involving a total of 541 participants, were included in the meta-analysis.Studies of internet mindfulness meditation intervention(IMMI),mindfulness meditation(MM),mindfulness-based cognitive therapy(MBCT),mindfulness-based stress reduction(MBSR)and mindfulness-based touch therapy(MBTT)met the inclusion criteria. The greatest effect sizes are reported in favour of MBTT,with SMDs of-1.138(95%CI:-1.937 to-0.340;P=0.005),followed by-1.003(95%CI:-1.645 to-0.360;P=0.002)for MBCT.SMDs of-0.618(95%CI:-0.980 to-0.257;P=0.001)and-0.551(95%CI:-0.842 to-0.260;P<0.0001)were reported for IMMI and MBSR in the pooling trials, respectively.Significant effects on sleep problem improvement are shown in all reviewed MBI programs, except MM,for which the effect size was shown to be nonsignificant.CONCLUSION All MBI programs(MBTT,MBCT,IMMI and MBSR),except MM,are effective options to improve sleep problems among people with depression or anxiety disorder. | Sunny Ho-Wan Chan Danielle Lui Hazel Chan Kelly Sum Ava Cheung Hayley Yip Chong Ho Yu | 2022 | World Journal of Psychiatry2022,12,4: | 5 |

| 4 | Development of mutants with varying flowering times by targeted editing of multiple SVP gene copies in Brassica napus L.显示文摘Manipulation of flowering time to develop cultivars with desired maturity dates is fundamental in plant breeding. It is desirable to generate polyploid rapeseed(Brassica napus L.)germplasm with varying flowering time controlled by a few genes. In the present study,Bna SVP,a rapeseed homolog of the Arabidopsis SVP(Short Vegetative Phase)gene, was characterized and a set of mutants was developed using a CRISPR/Cas9-based gene-editing tool.A single construct targeting multiple sites was successfully applied to precisely mutate four copies of Bna SVP.The induced mutations in these copies were stably transmitted to subsequent generations.Homozygous mutants with loss-of-function alleles and free transgenic elements were generated across the four Bna SVP homologs. All mutant T_(1)lines tested in two environments(summer and winter growing seasons)showed early-flowering phenotypes. The decrease in flowering time was correlated with the number of mutated Bna SVP alleles. The quadruple mutants showed the shortest flowering time, with a mean decrease of 40.6%–50.7%in length relative to the wild type under the two growth conditions. Our study demonstrates the quantitative involvement of Bna SVP copies in the regulation of flowering time and provides valuable resources for rapeseed breeding. | Sunny Ahmar Yungu Zhai Huibin Huang Kaidi Yu Muhammad Hafeez Ullah Khan Muhammad Shahid Rana Abdul Samad Shahid Ullah Khan Olalekan Amoo Chuchuan Fan Yongming Zhou | 2022 | The Crop Journal2022,10,1: | 1 |

| 7 | Trends Analysis of Graphene Research and Development显示文摘Purpose: This study aims to reveal the landscape and trends of graphene research in the world by using data from Chemical Abstracts Service(CAS). Design/methodology/approach: Index data from CAS have been retrieved on 78,756 papers and 23,057 patents on graphene from 1985 to March 2016, and scientometric methods were used to analyze the growth and distribution of R&D output, topic distribution and evolution, and distribution and evolution of substance properties and roles.Findings: In recent years R&D in graphene keeps in rapid growth, while China, South Korea and United States are the largest producers in research but China is relatively weak in patent applications in other countries. Research topics in graphene are continuously expanding from mechanical, material, and electrical properties to a diverse range of application areas such as batteries, capacitors, semiconductors, and sensors devices. The roles of emerging substances are increasing in Preparation and Biological Study. More techniques have been included to improve the preparation processes and applications of graphene in various fields.Research limitations: Only data from CAS is used and some R&D activities solely reported through other channels may be missed. Also more detailed analysis need to be done to reveal the impact of research on development or vice verse, development dynamics among the players, and impact of emerging terms or substance roles on research and technology development.Practical implications: This will provide a valuable reference for scientists and developers, R&D managers, R&D policy makers, industrial and business investers to understand the landscape and trends of graphene research. Its methodologies can be applied to other fields or with data from other similar sources.Originality/value: The integrative use of indexing data on papers and patents of CAS and the systematic exploration of the distribution trends in output, topics, substance roles are distinctive and insightful. | Lixue Zou Li Wang Yingqi Wu Caroline Ma Sunny Yu Xiwen Liu | 2018 | Journal of Data and Information Science2018,3,1: | 0 |
| 8 | Evaluating the emotion regulation of positive mood states among people with bipolar disorder using hierarchical clustering显示文摘BACKGROUND People with bipolar disorder(BD)frequently struggle with the recurrence of affective symptoms. However, the interplay between coping mechanism and positive mood state remains under-researched.AIM To explore the associations among behavioral approach system(BAS)sensitivity level, coping, and positive mood states among people with BD.METHODS Using a cross-sectional study design,90 participants with BD were presented with four BAS-activating life event scenarios and assessed with regard to their BAS trait sensitivity, coping flexibility, and mood states.A hierarchical clustering method was used to identify different groups with different styles of coping.Multiple hierarchical regression analyses were conducted to examine the mediating and moderating roles of different components of coping on mood states.RESULTS A three-cluster solution was found to best fit the present data set.The findings showed that a low mass of coping combined with low BAS sensitivity level protects people with BD from detrimentally accentuating mood states when they encounter BAS-activating life events. Moreover, coping flexibility is demonstrated to mediate and moderate the relationships between BAS sensitivity level and mood states.Specifically, subduing the perceived controllability and reducing the use of behavioral-activation/emotion-amplifying coping strategies could help buffer the effect of positive affect.CONCLUSION The judicious use of coping in emotion regulation for people with BD when encountering BAS-activating life events was indicated.Practical applications and theoretical implications are highlighted. | Sunny Ho-Wan Chan Chong Ho Yu Ken Ho Kan Liu Charlie Lau Anna On Yee Fung Samson Tse | 2021 | World Journal of Psychiatry2021,11,9: | 0 |
