1Apoptosis and non-alcoholic fatty liver diseases显示文摘The number of patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver diseases(NAFLD) including nonalcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH), has been increasing. NASH causes cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) and is one of the most serious health problems in the world. The mechanism through which NASH progresses is still largely unknown. Activation of caspases, Bcl-2 family proteins, and c-Jun N-terminal kinase-induced hepatocyte apoptosis plays a role in the activation of NAFLD/NASH. Apoptotic hepatocytes stimulate immune cells and hepatic stellate cells toward the progression of fibrosis in the liver through the production of inflammasomes and cytokines. Abnormalities in glucose and lipid metabolism as well as microbiota accelerate these processes. The production of reactive oxygen species, oxidative stress, and endoplasmic reticulum stress is also involved. Cell death, including apoptosis, seems very important in the progression of NAFLD and NASH. Recently, inhibitors of apoptosis have been developed as drugs for the treatment of NASH and may prevent cirrhosis and HCC. Increased hepatocyte apoptosis may distinguish NASH from NAFLD, and the improvement of apoptosis could play a role in controlling the development of NASH. In this review, the association between apoptosis and NAFLD/NASH are discussed. 2Thermosensitive Particles with Unusual Morphology Prepared by Dispersion Copolymerization显示文摘The monodispersed polymeric particles with an unusual structure were prepared by the dispersion copolymerization of acrylonitrile/styrene(AN/St) in mixed solvents of ethanol/water by using the poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAAm) macromonomer as a reaction stabilizer. It was found that the AN monomer plays a key role in the formation of the particles with special morphology analyzed via scanning electron microscopy(SEM). The reaction parameters have remarkable influences on the particle size and morphology. 15Template preparation of twisted nanoparticles of mesoporous silica显示文摘Optical isomers of N-lauroyl-l-(or-d-) alanine sodium salt {C 12 -l-(or-d-)AlaS} surfactants were used for the preparation of mesoporous silica nanoparticles with a twisted hexagonal rod-like morphology. Ther- mogravimetric analysis (TGA) was used to determine the temperature for template removal. Circular dichroism (CD) spectra of the surfactant solution with various compositions illustrated the formation and supramolecular assembly of protein-like molecular architecture leading to formation of twisted nanoparticles. 16Syntheses of Soluble Biopolyimides Using 4-Aminophenylalanine显示文摘4-Aminophenylalanine(4APhe),an exotic amino acid which is obtained as a microorganism metabolite of glucose,is polycondensed with various tetracarboxylic dianhydrides as a diamine monomer to obtain poly(amic acid)s.Subsequent thermal imidization of poly(amic acid)s is made at 220°C with stepwise heating from 100°C.Some of the obtained polyimides(PIs)exhibited good solubility in organic solvents such as N,N-dimethylformamide,N.N dimethylacetamide,and more.The progress of imidization was observed by proton nuclear magnetic resonance and infrared spectroscopy to confrm that the imidization ratio was up to 98%.Carboxylate group of the side-chains of PIs affected their solubilities despite the high imidization ratio,and the solubility was lost for any organic solvents by decarboxylation at 280。C,confirmed from mass-loss of thermogravimetric analysis.Thus,a new series of PIs were obtained with abilities of solvent-molding in PI state and thermal resistivityt enhancement by further heating after molding.Kenji Takad Hiromasa Shinagaw Yuki Morita Manjit SGrewal Kazuya Taya Amit Kumar Tatsuo Kaneko 2020Chinese Journal of Polymer Science2020,38,10:0
