| 2 | Ionic liquid based dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction of aromatic amines in water samples显示文摘In this work,a new microextraction method termed ionic liquid based dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction(IL-DLLME) was demonstrated for the extraction of 2-methylaniline,4-chloroaniline,1-naphthylamine and 4-aminobiphenyl in aqueous matrices.After extraction the ionic liquid(IL)phase was injected directly into the high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) system for determination.Some parameters that might affect the extraction efficiency were optimized.Under the optimum conditions,good linear relationship,sensitivity and reproducibility were obtained.The limits of detection(LOD,S/N=3)for the four analytes were in the range of 0.45-2.6μg L^(-1).The relative standard deviations(R.S.D.,n=6)were in the range of 6.2-9.8%. | 3 | First mass measurement of short-lived nuclides at HIRFL-CSR显示文摘Recent commissioning of the HIRFL-CSR has demonstrated its ability to perform direct mass measurement for short-lived nuclides. Projectile fragments produced by the 78Kr ions at 481.88 MeV/u were separated with the new radioactive beam line in Lanzhou (RIBLL2), and injected into and stored in the experimental storage ring (CSRe). By operating the CSRe as an isochronous mass spectrometry, a typical mass resolution around 2.0×10?5 has been achieved. The masses for 63Ge, 65As and 67Se were measured for the first time. The measured masses are compared with theoretical predictions and the location of the proton drip-line for As isotopes is discussed. | 4 | Speciation and fractionation of heavy metals in soil experimentally contaminated with Pb, Cd, Cu and Zn together and effects on soil negative surface charge显示文摘Speciation and fractionation of heavy metals in soil subsamples experimentally loaded with Pb, Cd, Cu and Zn in orthogonal design was investigated by sequential extraction, and operationally defined as water soluble and exchangeable(SE), weakly specific adsorbed(WSA), Fe and Mn oxides bound(OX) and organic bound(ORG). The results showed that fractions of heavy metals in the soil subsamples depended on their speciation. About 90% of Cd and 75% of Zn existed in soil subsamples in the SE fraction. Lead and Cu existed in soil subsamples as SE, WSA and OX fractions simultaneously, although SE was still the major fraction. Organic bound heavy metals were not clearly apparent in all the soil subsamples. The concentration of some heavy metal fractions in soil subsamples showed the good correlation with ionic impulsion of soil, especially for the SE fraction. Continuous saturation of soil subsamples with 0.20 mol/L NH 4Cl, which is the first step for determination of the negative surface charge of soil by the ion retention method, resulted in desorption of certain heavy metals from the soil. It was found that the percentage desorption of heavy metals from soil subsamples depended greatly on pH, the composition and original heavy metal content of the soil subsamples. However, most of the heavy metals in the soil subsamples were still be retained after multiple saturation. Compared with the parent soil, the negative surface charge of soil subsamples loaded with heavy metals did not show difference significantly from that of the parent one by statistical analysis. | 7 | Platinum-group elements for the mantle peridotites in the Dazhuka ophiolite,Tibet,China显示文摘The total PGE amounts of mantle peridotites in the Dazhuka ophiolite, Tibet, are 28.37-50.67 ng/g, slightly higher than those of mantle peridotites in the primitive mantle, and typical ophiolites in the world, and the Alps-type mantle peridotites. The PGE distribution patterns in the Dazhuka mantle peridotites are also different from those of the mantle peridotites of partial melting relict origin. The Dazhuka mantle peridotites have relatively high total PGE amounts and are enriched in Pt, Pd, and Ru. Their PGE distribution patterns belong to the positively inclined-or swallow-type patterns. The PGE distribution patterns in the mantle peridotites of partial melting relict origin belong to the negative-slope patterns or flat patterns. This reflects the unique features of the upper mantle in this region. | 8 | Inhibition of cyclooxygenase-2 activity in subchondral bone modifies a subtype of osteoarthritis显示文摘Osteoarthritis(OA) causes the destruction of joints. Its pathogenesis is still under investigation, and there is no effective diseasemodifying therapy. Here, we report that elevated cyclooxygenase-2(COX-2) expression in the osteocytes of subchondral bone causes both spontaneous OA and rheumatoid arthritis(RA). The knockout of COX-2 in osteocytes or treatment with a COX-2 inhibitor effectively rescues the structure of subchondral bone and attenuates cartilage degeneration in spontaneous OA(STR/Ort)mice and tumor necrosis factor-α transgenic RA mice. Thus, elevated COX-2 expression in subchondral bone induces both OAassociated and RA-associated joint cartilage degeneration. | 12 | PEG-asparaginase in BFM-90 regimen improves outcomes in adults with newly diagnosed lymphoblastic lymphoma显示文摘Objective: Although L-asparaginase(L-ASP) is a standard treatment for lymphoblastic lymphoma(LBL),hypersensitivity reactions by some patients limit its application. Polyethylene glycol-conjugated asparaginase(PEGASP) has a lower immunogenicity and is a standard treatment in all pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia(ALL).In this study, we investigated the efficacy and toxicity of PEG-ASP instead of L-ASP as used in the BFM-90regimen(PEG-ASP-BFM-90) for adult LBL.Methods: Between June 2012 and July 2015, we treated 30 adult patients with newly diagnosed LBL, using PEGASP-BFM-90 in a prospective, multicenter and single-arm clinical study at 5 participating institutions in China.Results: All the 30 patients, including 19 males and 11 females with a median age of 30(range: 18–62) years,completed 128 times of the PEG-ASP, with the median of 4(range: 2–6) times. Patients did not receive radiotherapy at this time. The overall response rate was 86.7%(26/30), with 50.0%(15/30) complete response and36.7%(11/30) partial response. The 3-year overall survival was 46.0% [95% confidence interval(95% CI),28.2%–64.8%], and the 3-year progression-free survival was 43.0%(95% CI, 25.7%–62.0%). Major adverse events were myelosuppression, reduced fibrinogen, liver dysfunction and digestive tract toxicities. No allergic reaction and no treatment-related mortality or severe complications were recorded.Conclusions: Our clinical data and observed outcomes indicate that 1 dose of PEG-ASP can replace multiple doses of native L-ASP in BFM-90, with predominantly grade 3–4 neutropenia for adult LBL, and no therapyrelated deaths. The effect is similar to previous reports of PEG-ASP-containing regimens for adult ALL. Methods Seventy healthy women aged 18-41 years requesting legal termination of pregnancy at 12-17 weeks of gestation were equally randomized into two groups. Two cervical preparations, the Dilapan-STM combined with mifepristone and misoprostol (DMM) method, and the mifepristone combined with misoprostol (MM) method, were used to end early second-trimester pregnancy for group DMM and group MM, respectively. Clinical outcomes and complications for these two methods were compared. Results No differences were found on rates of successful abortion within 48 h and blood loss after abortion at 2 h between the two groups (P>0.05). DMM group had significant shorter induction-to-abortion interval and hospital stay compared with group MM (P<0.01). In both DMM and MM groups, side effects including nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, chills and rigors, and fever occurred, and incidences of these side effects were no difference (P>0.05). Conclusion DMM method would have similar clinical efficacies with MM method for early second-trimester pregnancy termination. | 15 | Plasma reforming of toluene as a model tar compound from biomass gasification:effect of CO_(2) and steam显示文摘In this study, plasma reforming of toluene as a tar model compound from biomass gasification has been carried out using an AC gliding arc discharge reactor. The influence of steam and CO_(2) addition on the reforming of toluene has been evaluated. The results show that the highest toluene conversion (59.9%) was achieved when adding 3 vol% CO_(2) at a toluene concentra-tion of 16.1 g/Nm3 and a specific energy input of 0.25 kWh/m3. Further increasing CO_(2) concentration to 12 vol% decreased the conversion of toluene. The presence of steam in the plasma CO_(2) reforming of toluene creates oxidative OH radicals which contribute to the enhanced conversion of toluene and energy efficiency of the plasma reforming process through stepwise oxidation of toluene and reaction intermediates. Hydrogen and C_(2)H_(2) were identified as the major gas products in the plasma reforming of toluene without CO_(2) or steam, with a yield of 9.7% and 14.5%, respectively, while syngas was the primary products with a maximum yield of 58.3% (27.5% for H_(2) and 30.8% for CO) in the plasma reforming with the addition of 12 vol% CO_(2). | 18 | Quantitative proteomics revealed extensive microenvironmental changes after stem cell transplantation in ischemic stroke显示文摘The local microenvironment is essential to stem cell-based therapy for ischemic stroke,and spatiotemporal changes of the microenvironment in the pathological process provide vital clues for understanding the therapeutic mechanisms.However,relevant studies on microenvironmental changes were mainly confined in the acute phase of stroke,and long-term changes remain unclear.This study aimed to investigate the microenvironmental changes in the subacute and chronic phases of ischemic stroke after stem cell transplantation.Herein,induced pluripotent stem cells(iPSCs)and neural stem cells(NSCs)were transplanted into the ischemic brain established by middle cerebral artery occlusion surgery.Positron emission tomography imaging and neurological tests were applied to evaluate the metabolic and neurofunctional alterations of rats transplanted with stem cells.Quantitative proteomics was employed to investigate the protein expression profiles in iPSCs-transplanted brain in the subacute and chronic phases of stroke.Compared with NSCs-transplanted rats,significantly increased glucose metabolism and neurofunctional scores were observed in iPSCs-transplanted rats.Subsequent proteomic data of iPSCs-transplanted rats identified a total of 39 differentially expressed proteins in the subacute and chronic phases,which are involved in various ischemic stroke-related biological processes,including neuronal survival,axonal remodeling,antioxidative stress,and mitochondrial function restoration.Taken together,our study indicated that iPSCs have a positive therapeutic effect in ischemic stroke and emphasized the wide-ranging microenvironmental changes in the subacute and chronic phases. | Yao Chen Fahuan Song Mengjiao Tu Shuang Wu Xiao He Hao Liu Caiyun Xu Kai Zhang Yuankai Zhu Rui Zhou Chentao Jin Ping Wang Hong Zhang Mei Tian | 2022 | Frontiers of Medicine2022，16，3： | 1 |
