1Deep Learning in Medical Ultrasound Analysis: A Review显示文摘Ultrasound (US) has become one of the most commonly performed imaging modalities in clinical practice. It is a rapidly evolving technology with certain advantages and with unique challenges that include low imaging quality and high variability. From the perspective of image analysis, it is essential to develop advanced automatic US image analysis methods to assist in US diagnosis and/or to make such assessment more objective and accurate. Deep learning has recently emerged as the leading machine learning tool in various research fields, and especially in general imaging analysis and computer vision. Deep learning also shows huge potential for various automatic US image analysis tasks. This review first briefly introduces several popular deep learning architectures, and then summarizes and thoroughly discusses their applications in various specific tasks in US image analysis, such as classification, detection, and segmentation. 4老年女性单周期中度有氧运动后睡眠质量提高:一项初步研究结果(英文)显示文摘背景:睡眠质量差会对健康产生不利影响。目前尚不明确运动能否提高睡眠质量,以及是否会受到运动强度的影响。方法:招募15名身体健康、体重未超标(BMI=24.4±2.1kg/m^2)、习惯久坐(每周运动不超过3次,每次时长<20分钟)的老年女性(年龄:66.1±3.9岁)自愿参加本研究。用梯度运动实验在装有代谢测量表的跑步机上测量耗氧量峰值(VO_(2peak))。经过为期7天的基线期,每位受试者都参与两个热量消耗相同的运动周期(期间间隔一周),但在每天上午9-11点时运动强度会有所不同(60%VO_(2peak)和45%VO_(2peak),顺序随机)。在每一个运动周期中都有2天利用ActiGraph腕动计评估受试者基线期和每次运动后两晚的睡眠质量。结果:中等强度(60%VO_(2peak))与轻度(45%VO_(2peak))运动的平均时长分别为54分钟和72分钟。与没有运动的基线期相比,中度运动的受试者入睡后清醒时间明显缩短(p=0.016),次数减少(p=0.046),总活动计数也降低(p=0.05)。结论:本研究表明单周期中度有氧运动能提高老年女性的睡眠质量。Xuewen Wang Shawn D.Youngstedt 2014Journal of Sport and Health Science2014,3,4:3

8Transcriptome analysis of near-isogenic lines provides molecular insights into starch biosynthesis in maize kernel显示文摘Starch is the major component in maize kernels,providing a stable carbohydrate source for humans and livestock as well as raw material for the biofuel industry.Increasing maize kernel starch content will help meet industry demands and has the potential to increase overall yields.We developed a pair of maize near-isogenic lines(NILs) with different alleles for a starch quantitative trait locus on chromosome 3(q HS3), resulting in different kernel starch content. To investigate the candidate genes for q HS3 and elucidate their effects on starch metabolism, RNA-Seq was performed for the developing kernels of the NILs at 14 and 21 d after pollination(DAP). Analysis of genomic and transcriptomic data identified 76 genes with nonsynonymous single nucleotide polymorphisms and 384 differentially expressed genes(DEGs) in the in trogressed fragment, including a hexokinase gene, Zm HXK3 a, which catalyzes the conversion of glucose to glucose-6-phosphate and may play a key role instarch metabolism. The expression pattern of all DEGs in starch metabolism shows that altered expression of the candidate genes for q HS3 promoted starch synthesis,with positive consequences for kernel starch content. 9Spectroscopic investigation of the interactions between gold nanoparticles and bovine serum albumin显示文摘The interactions between bovine serum albumin(BSA) and gold nanoparticles(AuNPs) ,and the conformational changes of BSA induced by this interaction,were investigated by UV-visible absorption spectroscopy,fluorescence spectroscopy,and Fourier transform infrared in combination with attenuated total reflection spectroscopy(ATR-FTIR) .The critical adsorption density for preventing AuNP aggregation in 0.1 mol/L phosphate buffered saline(pH 7.2) was 23 BSA molecules per gold particle or 3.8×1012 BSA molecules/cm2.BSA bound to the AuNPs with high affinity(binding constant Ks=7.59×108 L/mol) ,and the intrin-sic fluorescence of BSA was quenched by the AuNPs in accordance with the static quenching mechanism.Both fluorescence spectroscopy and ATR-FTIR showed that AuNPs induced conformational changes in BSA,which resulted in it becoming less compact and increased the polarity of the microenvironment around the tryptophan residue Trp-212.SHI XiuJuan LI Dan XIE Jing WANG Shawn WU ZhaoQiang CHEN Hong 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,10:2

15CD4(+)CD25(+) treg induction by an HSP60-derived peptide SJMHE1 from schistosoma japonicum is TLR2 dependent显示文摘Chronic schistosome infection results in the suppression of host immune responses, allowing long-term schistosome survival and restricting pathology.Current theories suggest that Treg play an important role in this regulation.However, the mechanism of Treg induction during schistosome infection is still unknown.The aim of this study was to determine the mechanism behind the induction of CD4(+)CD25(+) T cells by Schistosoma japonicum HSP60(SjHSP60)-derived peptide SJMHE1 as well as to elucidate the cellular and molecular basis for the induction of CD4(+)CD25(+) T cells during S.japonicum infection.Mice immunized with SJMHE1 or spleen and LN cells from naive mice pretreated.with SJMHE1 in vitro all displayed an increase in CD4(+)CD25(+) T-cell populations.Release of IL-10 and TGF-beta by SJMHE1 stimulation may contribute to suppression.Adoptively transferred SJMHE1induced CD4(+)CD25(+) T cells inhibited delayed-type hypersensitivity in BALB / c mice.Additionally, SJMHE1-treated APC were tolerogenic and induced CD4(+) cells to differentiate into suppressive CD4(+)CD25(+) Treg.Furthermore, our data support a role for TLR2 in SJMHE1-mediated CD4(+)CD25(+) Treg induction.These findings provide the basis for a more complete understanding of the S.japonicum-host interactions that contribute to host homeostatic mechanisms, preventing an excessive immune response.Wang, Xuefeng Zhou, Sha Chi, Ying Wen, Xiaoyun Hoellwarth, Jason He, Lei Liu, Feng Wu, Calvin Dhesi, Shawn Zhao, Jiaqing Hu, Wei Su, Chuan 2010南京医科大学学报(自然科学版)2010,30,1:1
