1Validation of clinical significance of examined lymph node count for accurate prognostic evaluation of gastric cancer for the eighth edition of the American Joint Committee on Cancer(AJCC) TNM staging system显示文摘Objective: To validate the necessity of increasing the examined lymph node(ELN) count for enhancing the accuracy of prognostic evaluation of gastric cancer(GC) patients after curative gastrectomy in multiple medical centers of China.Methods: The clinicopathological data of 7,620 patients who underwent the curative resection for GC between2001 and 2011 were included to demonstrate whether the ELN count is indispensable for enhancing the accuracy of prognostic evaluation of GC patients after surgery. After a meticulous stratification by using the cut-point survival analysis, all included 7,620 patients were allocated into three groups as: less than 16(<16), between 16 and30(16-30), and more than 30(>30) ELNs. Survival differences among various subgroups of GC patients were analyzed to assess the impact of the ELN count on the stage migration in accordance with the overall survival(OS)of GC patients.Results: Survival analyses revealed that the ELN count was positively correlated with the OS(P=0.001) and was an independent prognostic predictor(P<0.01) of 7,620 GC patients. Stratum analysis showed that the accuracy of prognostic evaluation could be enhanced when the ELN count was no less than 16(≥16) for node-negative patients and >30 for node-positive patients. Stage migrations were mainly detected in the various subgroups of patients with specific pN stages as follows: pN0 with 16-30 ELNs(pN0_(16-30)) and pN0 with >30 ELNs(pN0_(>30)), pN0 with <16 ELNs(pN0_(<16)) and pN1_(>30), pN1_(<16) and pN2_(16-30), pN1_(16-30) and pN2_(>30), pN3a_(<16) and pN3b_(16-30), and pN3a_(<16) and pN3b_(>30). 2Mechanism of Cu(Ⅱ) adsorption inhibition on biochar by its aging process显示文摘Biochar exposed in the environment may experience a series of surface changes, which is called biochar aging. In order to study the effects of biochar aging on Cu(II) adsorption, we analyzed the surface properties before and after biochar aging with scanning electron microscopy(SEM) coupled to an energy-dispersive X-ray spectrometer(EDX) and diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy(DRIFTS), and then explored the influence of the aging process on Cu(II) adsorption by batch experiments. After the aging process, the oxygen concentration, phenolic hydroxyl groups, aromatic ethers and other oxygen-containing functional groups on the biochar surface increased, while carboxyl groups slightly decreased. Thus, over a range of pH, the cation exchange capacity(CEC) and adsorption capacity of Cu(II) on the aged biochar were smaller than those of new biochar,indicating that when biochar is incubated at constant temperature and water holding capacity in the dark, the aging process may inhibit Cu(II) adsorption. Meanwhile, the dissociation characteristics of oxygen-containing functional groups changed through the aging process, which may be the mechanism by which the biochar aging process inhibits the Cu(II) adsorption. Carboxyl groups became more easily dissociated at low pH(3.3–5.0),and the variation of maximum adsorption capability(qm) of Cu(II) on the old biochar was enlarged. 3Designing N-doped graphene/ReSe_(2)/Ti_(3)C_(2) MXene heterostructure frameworks as promising anodes for high-rate potassium-ion batteries显示文摘Developing high-performance anodes for potassium ion batteries(KIBs) is of paramount significance but remains challenging.In the normal sense,electrode materials are prepared by ubiquitous wet chemical routes,which otherwise might not be versatile enough to create desired heterostructures and/or form clean interfacial areas for fast transport of K-ions and electrons.Along this line,rate capability/cycling stability of resulting KIBs are greatly handicapped.Herein we present an all-chemical vapor deposition approach to harness the direct synthesis of nitrogen-doped graphene(NG)/rhenium diselenide(ReSe_2)hybrids over three-dimensional MXene supports as superior heterostructure anode material for KIBs.In such an innovative design,1 T'-ReSe2 nanoparticles are sandwiched in between the NG coatings and MXene frameworks via strong interfacial interactions,thereby affording facile K~+ diffusion,enhancing overall conductivity,boosting high-power performance and reinforcing structural stability of electrodes.Thus-constructed anode delivers an excellent rate performance of 138 mAh g^(-1) at 10.0 A g^(-1) and a high reversible capacity of 90 mAh g^(-1) at 5 A g^(-1) after 300 cycles.Furthermore,the potassium storage mechanism has been systematically probed by advanced in situlex situ characterization techniques in combination with first principles computations.Zhou Xia Xiwen Chen Haina Cia Zhaodi Fan Yuyang Yi Wanjian Yin Nan Wei Jingsheng Cai Yanfeng Zhang Jingyu Sun 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,2:9
4The effects of air temperature and precipitation on the net primary productivity in China during the early 21st century显示文摘Research on how terrestrial ecosystems respond to climate change can reveal the complex interactions between vegetation and climate,net primary productivity (NPP),an important vegetation parameter and ecological indicator,fluctuates within any given ecological environment or regional carbon budget.In this study, spatial interpolation was used to generate a spatial dataset, with 1-km spatial resolution,with meteorological data from 736 observation stations across China.An improved CASA model was used to simulate NPP over the period of 2001-2013 by taking into account land-cover change in every year during the same period.We propose the grid- based spatial patterns and dynamics of annual NPP,annual average temperature,and annual total precipitation based on the model.We also used the model to demonstrate the spatial correlation between NPP,temperature,and pre- cipitation in the study area with special focus on the impact of climate change in the early 21st century.Results showed that the spatial pattern of NPP over all of China is characterized by higher values in the southeast and lower values in the northwest.The spatial pattern of temperature indicates substantial latitudinal differences across the country,and the spatial pattem of precipitation shows a ribbon of decline from the southeast coast to the northwest inland.Most areas show an upward trend in NPP. 5Collaborative optimization of maintenance and spare ordering of continuously degrading systems显示文摘A collaborative optimization model for maintenance and spare ordering of a single-unit degrading system is proposed in this paper based on the continuous detection. A gamma distribution is used to model the material degradation. The degrading decrement after the imperfect maintenance action is assumed as a random variable normal distribution. This model aims to obtain the optimal maintenance policy and spare ordering point with the expected cost rate within system lifecycle as the optimization objective. 6Dynamic prediction of building subsidence deformation with data-based mechanistic self-memory model显示文摘This paper describes a building subsidence deformation prediction model with the self-memorization principle.According to the non-linear specificity and monotonic growth characteristics of the time series of building subsidence deformation,a data-based mechanistic self-memory model considering randomness and dynamic features of building subsidence deformation is established based on the dynamic data retrieved method and the self-memorization equation.This model first deduces the differential equation of the building subsidence deformation system using the dynamic retrieved method,which treats the monitored time series data as particular solutions of the nonlinear dynamic system.Then,the differential equation is evolved into a difference-integral equation by the self-memory function to establish the self-memory model of dynamic system for predicting nonlinear building subsidence deformation.As the memory coefficients of the proposed model are calculated with historical data,which contain useful information for the prediction and overcome the shortcomings of the average prediction,the model can predict extreme values of a system and provide higher fitting precision and prediction accuracy than deterministic or random statistical prediction methods.The model was applied to subsidence deformation prediction of a building in Xi'an.It was shown that the model is valid and feasible in predicting building subsidence deformation with good accuracy.WANG Wei SU JingYu HOU BenWei TIAN Jie MA DongHui 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,26:5

9All VN-graphene architecture derived self-powered wearable sensors for ultrasensitive health monitoring显示文摘The booming of wearable electronics has nourished the progress on developing multifunctional energy storage systems with versatile flexibility, which enable the continuous and steady power supply even under various deformed states. In this sense, the synergy of flexible energy and electronic devices to construct integrative wearable microsystems is meaningful but remains quite challenging by far. Herein, we devise an innovative supercapacitor/sensor integrative wearable device that is based upon our designed vanadium nitride-graphene (VN-G) architectures. Flexible quasi-solid-state VN-G supercapacitor with ultralight and binder-free features deliver a specific capacitance of^53 F·g^-1 with good cycle stability. On the other hand, VN-G derived pressure sensors fabricated throughout a spray-printing process also manifest favorably high sensitivity (40 kPa^-1 at the range of 2-10 kPa), fast response time (~130 ms), perfect skin conformability, and outstanding stability under static and dynamic pressure conditions. 10Integrated risk assessment of complex disaster system based on a non-linear information dynamics model显示文摘This paper describes a non-linear information dynamics model for integrated risk assessment of complex disaster system from an evolution perspective. According to the occurrence and evolution of natural disaster system with complicated and nonlinear characteristics, a non-linear information dynamics mode is introduced based on the maximum flux principle during modeling process to study the integrated risk assessment of complex disaster system. Based on the non-equilibrium statistical mechanics method, a stochastic evolution equation of this system is established. The integrated risk assessment of complex disaster system can be achieved by giving reasonable weights of each evaluation index to stabilize the system. The new model reveals the formation pattern of risk grade and the dynamics law of evolution. Meanwhile, a method is developed to solve the dynamics evolution equations of complex system through the self-organization feature map algorithm. The proposed method has been used in complex disaster integrated risk assessment for 31 provinces, cities and autonomous regions in China mainland. 11Exosomes Released from Rabies Virus-Infected Cells May be Involved in the Infection Process显示文摘Exosomes are cell-derived vesicles that are secreted by many eukaryotic cells. It has recently attracted attention as vehicles of intercellular communication. Virus-infected cells release exosomes, which contain viral proteins, RNA, and pathogenic molecules. However, the role of exosomes in virus infection process remains unclear and needs to be further investigated.In this study, we aimed to evaluate the effects of exosomes on rabies virus infection. OptiPrep^(TM) density gradient centrifugation was used to isolate exosomes from rabies virus-infected cell culture supernatants. A rabies virus G protein enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and acetylcholinesterase activity assays were performed to verify the centrifugation fractions. Exosomes were then characterized using transmission electron microscopy and Western blotting. Our results showed that rabies virus infection increased the release of exosomes. Treatment with GW4869 and si-Rab27 a, two exosomal secretion inhibitors, inhibited exosome release. Furthermore, the inhibitors reduced the levels of extracellular and intracellular viral RNA. These data indicated that exosomes may participate in the viral infection process. 12Effect of integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine on Gout显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the curative effect of integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine on gout,and to investigate the therapy timing and exact treatment options of integrated medicine.METHODS:Totally 860 patients were enrolled,including 460 patients with intermittent gout,200 patients with active Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syndrome(TCM syndrome score≥6)and200 patients with stable TCM syndrome(score<6).They were randomly divided into intervention and control groups.The control group was treated according to Western Medicine guidelines.The intervention group was treated with integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine.The efficacy of TCM syndrome,joint pain score,joint swelling score,ESR,C-reactive protein,serum uric acid,liver and kidney function,and the duration of remission of TCM syndrome were compared between the two groups before and after treatments.RESULTS:For the patients with stable TCM syndrome,there was no significant difference in the effective rate and inefficiency between the intervention group and the control group.For the active type,the effective rate of the intervention group is better than the control group significantly.For the stable type,there was no significant difference between the intervention group and the control group in improving the scores of joint pain and swelling,reducing the level of ESR,C-reactive protein,serum uric acid and improving liver and kidney function.For the active type,the differences between the two groups were significant.The stable stage of gout in the intervention group was longer than the control group.CONCLUSION:For the gout patients with stable TCM syndrome in the acute stage of gout,we can use TCM treatment or Western Medicine alternatively;for the patients with active TCM syndrome,the scheme of combination of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine can be applied,with the better curative effect than any medicine alone.LIU Wei WU Yuanhao XUE Bin JIN Yue ZHANG Shumin LI Peihao XIE Qing WANG Aihua GAO Jingyue CAI Yue ZHANG Bo LIU Xiaoya WANG Yi DUAN Ran 2021Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,5:3

14Confining TiO_2 Nanotubes in PECVD-Enabled Graphene Capsules Toward Ultrafast K-Ion Storage: In Situ TEM/XRD Study and DFT Analysis显示文摘Titanium dioxide(TiO2) has gained burgeoning attention for potassium-ion storage because of its large theoretical capacity,wide availability,and environmental benignity.Nevertheless,the inherently poor conductivity gives rise to its sluggish reaction kinetics and inferior rate capability.Here,we report the direct graphene growth over TiO2 nanotubes by virtue of chemical vapor deposition.Such conformal graphene coatings effectively enhance the conductive environment and well accommodate the volume change of TiO2 upon potassiation/depotassiation.When paired with an activated carbon cathode,the graphene-armored TiO2 nanotubes allow the potassium-ion hybrid capacitor full cells to harvest an energy/power density of 81.2 Wh kg-1/3746.6 W kg-1.We further employ in situ transmis sion electron microscopy and ope rando X-ray diffraction to probe the potassium-ion storage behavior.This work offers a viable and versatile solution to the anode design and in situ probing of potassium storage technologies that is readily promising for practical applications.Jingsheng Cai Ran Cai Zhongti Sun Xiangguo Wang Nan Wei Feng Xu Yuanlong Shao Peng Gao Shixue Dou Jingyu Sun 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,9:2
15A comparative study of the extractive desulfurization mechanism by Cu(Ⅱ)and Zn-based imidazolium ionic liquids显示文摘A comparative study of the extractive desulfurization(EDS) mechanism by Cu(Ⅱ) and Zn-based ILs([C_4mim]_2[MCl_4], M ? Cu(Ⅱ) or Zn)has been performed. It is found that the p–p interaction and C-H/p interaction play important roles in EDS for both Cu(Ⅱ) and Zn-based ILs,which is different from Al, Fe-based ILs. In the gas phase models, the interaction energy between Zn-based ILs and dibenzothiophene(DBT) is stronger than the interaction energy of Cu(Ⅱ)-based ILs. In order to consider the solvent effect, a generic ionic liquid of solvation model has been implemented, which is few considered in the previous calculations of EDS. It is interesting to find that the gap of interaction energies between Cu(Ⅱ), Zn-based ILs and DBT are reduced when the solvent effect is considered. 16Interspecific plant interaction via root exudates structures the disease suppressiveness of rhizosphere microbiomes显示文摘Terrestrial plants can affect the growth and health of adjacent plants via interspecific interaction.Here,we studied the mechanism by which plant root exudates affect the recruitment of the rhizosphere microbiome in adjacent plants—with implications for plant protection—using a tomato(Solanum lycopersicum)–potatoonion(Allium cepa var.agrogatum)intercropping system.First,we showed that the intercropping system results in a disease-suppressive rhizosphere microbiome that protects tomato plants against Verticillium wilt disease caused by the soilborne pathogen Verticillium dahliae.Second,16S rRNA gene sequencing revealed that intercropping with potatoonion altered the composition of the tomato rhizosphere microbiome by promoting the colonization of specific Bacillus sp.This taxon was isolated and shown to inhibit V.dahliae growth and induce systemic resistance in tomato plants.Third,a belowground segregation experiment found that root exudates mediated the interspecific interaction between potatoonion and tomato.Moreover,experiments using split-root tomato plants found that root exudates from potatoonion,especially taxifolin—a flavonoid compound—stimulate tomato plants to recruit plant-beneficial bacteria,such as Bacillus sp.Lastly,ultra-high-pressure liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry analysis found that taxifolin alters tomato root exudate chemistry;thus,this compound acts indirectly in modulating root colonization by Bacillus sp.Our results revealed that this intercropping system can improve tomato plant fitness by changing rhizosphere microbiome recruitment via the use of signaling chemicals released by root exudates of potatoonion.This study revealed a novel mechanism by which interspecific plant interaction modulates the establishment of a disease-suppressive microbiome,thus opening up new avenues of research for precision plant microbiome manipulations.Xingang Zhou Jingyu Zhang Muhammad Khashi u Rahman Danmei Gao Zhong Wei Fengzhi Wu Francisco Dini-Andreote 2023Molecular Plant2023,16,5:2

18Metastable liquid properties and rapid crystal growth of Ti-Ni-Al alloy investigated by electrostatic levitation and molecular dynamics simulation显示文摘Electrostatic levitation technique and molecular dynamics simulation were performed to investigate the thermophysical properties,liquid structure and crystal growth dependence on undercooling of Ti_(85)Ni_(10)Al_(5) alloy.The liquid Ti_(85)Ni_(10)Al_(5) alloy was substantially undercooled up to 335 K(0.18T_(L)).As undercooling increased,the potential energy of the liquid alloy decreased and the alloy entered into a high metastable state.At this state,the atoms tended to bond with each other and the clusters were inclined to convert into high-coordinated clusters,as confirmed by the fraction of the high-coordinated clusters variation.The enlarged clusters and enhanced local structure stability contributed to the increase of the thermophysical parameters and crystal growth velocity,and eventually dendrite refinement.The density,the specific heat and the surface tension of liquid alloy exhibited a linear relation with temperature and the shear viscosity of liquid alloy showed exponential variation which showed good agreement with the calculation results by molecular dynamics simulation.The growth velocity first increased slowly and then dramatically once the undercooling exceeded the threshold.The achieved maximum crystal growth velocity was 12.4 m s^(−1) and it was up to 326 times of the value at 94 K undercooling.XIAO RuiLin RUAN Ying LIN MaoJie QIN JingYu LI Hui HU Liang WEI BingBo 2021Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,10:2
