1Validation of clinical significance of examined lymph node count for accurate prognostic evaluation of gastric cancer for the eighth edition of the American Joint Committee on Cancer(AJCC) TNM staging system显示文摘Objective: To validate the necessity of increasing the examined lymph node(ELN) count for enhancing the accuracy of prognostic evaluation of gastric cancer(GC) patients after curative gastrectomy in multiple medical centers of China.Methods: The clinicopathological data of 7,620 patients who underwent the curative resection for GC between2001 and 2011 were included to demonstrate whether the ELN count is indispensable for enhancing the accuracy of prognostic evaluation of GC patients after surgery. After a meticulous stratification by using the cut-point survival analysis, all included 7,620 patients were allocated into three groups as: less than 16(<16), between 16 and30(16-30), and more than 30(>30) ELNs. Survival differences among various subgroups of GC patients were analyzed to assess the impact of the ELN count on the stage migration in accordance with the overall survival(OS)of GC patients.Results: Survival analyses revealed that the ELN count was positively correlated with the OS(P=0.001) and was an independent prognostic predictor(P<0.01) of 7,620 GC patients. Stratum analysis showed that the accuracy of prognostic evaluation could be enhanced when the ELN count was no less than 16(≥16) for node-negative patients and >30 for node-positive patients. Stage migrations were mainly detected in the various subgroups of patients with specific pN stages as follows: pN0 with 16-30 ELNs(pN0_(16-30)) and pN0 with >30 ELNs(pN0_(>30)), pN0 with <16 ELNs(pN0_(<16)) and pN1_(>30), pN1_(<16) and pN2_(16-30), pN1_(16-30) and pN2_(>30), pN3a_(<16) and pN3b_(16-30), and pN3a_(<16) and pN3b_(>30). 2Predictive values of multidetector-row computed tomography combined with serum tumor biomarkers in preoperative lymph node metastasis of gastric cancer显示文摘Objective: Multidetector-row computed tomography(MDCT) and serum tumor biomarkers are commonly used to evaluate the preoperative lymph node metastasis and the clinical staging of gastric cancer(GC). This study intends to evaluate the clinical predictive value of MDCT and serum tumor biomarkers in lymph node metastasis of GC.Methods: The clinicopathologic data of 445 GC patients who underwent radical gastrectomy were retrospectively analyzed to evaluate the diagnostic value of MDCT and serum tumor biomarkers in lymph node metastatic staging of GC before surgery.Results: With the multinomial logistic regression analysis, the independent relative factors of lymph node metastasis of GC were identified as tumor size, depth of tumor invasion, vessel invasion, vascular embolus, and soft tissue invasion. The optimal critical value of the short diameter of lymph nodes detected by MDCT scanning for evaluation of preoperative lymph node metastasis was 6.0 mm, with 75.7% as predictive accuracy of lymph node metastasis compared to the postoperative pathological results of GC patients. In addition, the critical value of the short diameter of lymph nodes combined with serum tumor biomarkers [including carbohydrate antigen(CA)-724 and CA-199] could show an enhancement of predictive sensitivity of lymph node metastasis(up to 89.3%) before surgery.Conclusions: MDCT combined with serum tumor biomarkers should be adopted to improve preoperative sensitivity and accuracy of lymph node metastasis for GC patients.Huihui Bai Jingyu Deng Nannan Zhang Huifang Liu Wenting He Jinyuan Liu Han Liang 2019Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2019,31,3:11
3Evaluation of rational extent lymphadenectomy for local advanced gastric cancer显示文摘Based upon studies from randomized clinical trials, the extended(D2) lymph node dissection is now recommended as a standard procedure for local advanced gastric cancer worldwide. However, the rational extent lymphadenectomy for local advanced gastric cancer has remained a topic of debate in the past decades. Due to the limitation of low metastatic rate in para-aortic nodes(PAN) in JCOG9501, the clinical benefit of D2+ para-aortic nodal dissection(PAND) for patients with stage T4 and/or stage N3 disease, which is very common in China and other countries except Japan and Korea, cannot be determined. Furthermore, the role of splenectomy for complete resection of No.10 and No.11 nodes has been controversial, and however, the final results from the randomized trial of JCOG0110 have yet to be completed. Gastric cancer with the No.14 and No.13 lymph node metastasis is defined as M1 stage in the current version of the Japanese classification. We propose that D2+No.14 v and +No.13 lymphadenectomy may be an option in a potentially curative gastrectomy for tumors with apparent metastasis to the No.6 nodes or infiltrate to duodenum. 4A comparison between acute large vessel occlusion in the posterior circulation and anterior circulation after endovascular treatment:the ANGEL-ACT registry experience显示文摘Background and purpose Endovascular treatment(EVT)has shown an overwhelming benefit for acute anterior circulation artery occlusion(ACO).Whether it can achieve the same outcomes in posterior circulation artery occlusion(PCO)has not been well explained.We aimed to evaluate the characteristics and prognosis of ACO and PCO after EVT in a nationwide registry.Method The present analysis was based on the prospective ANGEL-ACT Registry in China between November 2017 and March 2019.Demographic data,periprocedural times,recanalisation rate,intracranial haemorrhage(ICH)and 90-day functional outcomes were compared between the ACO and PCO groups.Results A total of 1793 patients were analysed including 397(22.1%)consecutive patients with PCO and 1396(77.9%)patients with ACO treated with EVT.A larger proportion of patients with PCO had intracranial atherosclerotic disease and received extra angioplasty during EVT.Successful recanalisation and 90-day favourable functional outcomes did not differ significantly between the two groups.Patients with PCO showed lower 24-hour ICH and symptomatic ICH rates.There was a trend towards higher mortality rate in the PCO group(22.09%vs 14.44%;adjusted OR 1.286(95%CI 0.820 to 2.017),p=0.2731),especially when the onset to puncture time was over 6 hours(30.77%vs 11.13%;adjusted OR 2.673(95%CI 1.280 to 5.583),p=0.0089,interactive p=0.0002).Conclusions In this large prospective multicentre registry,there was a significant difference in the characteristics and periprocedural features between patients with PCO and ACO.However,successful recanalisation and 90-day favourable functional outcomes in PCO were equivalent to those in ACO.Xuan Sun Jingyu Zhang Xu Tong Baixue Jia Dapeng Mo Ning Ma Feng Gao Lian Liu Xiaochuan Huo Ligang Song Yiming Deng Zhongrong Miao 2022Stroke & Vascular Neurology2022,7,4:4
5ILC3-derived OX40L is essential for homeostasis of intestinal Tregs in immunodeficient mice显示文摘OX40L is one of the co-stimulatory molecules that can be expressed by splenic lymphoid tissue inducer(Lti)cells,a subset of group 3 innate lymphoid cells(ILC3s).OX40L expression in subsets of intestinal ILC3s and the molecular regulation of OX40L expression in ILC3s are unknown.Here,we showed intestinal ILC3s marked as an OX40L high population among all the intestinal leukocytes and were the dominant source of OX40L in Rag1–/–mice.All ILC3 subsets expressed OX40L,and NCR–ILC3s were the most abundant source of OX40L.The expression of OX40L in ILC3s could be upregulated during inflammation.In addition to tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-like cytokine 1A(TL1A),which has been known as a trigger for OX40L,we found that Poly(I:C)representing viral stimulus promoted OX40L expression in ILC3s via a cell-autonomous manner.Furthermore,we demonstrated that IL-7-STAT5 signaling sustained OX40L expression by ILC3s.Intestinal regulatory T cells(Tregs),most of which expressed OX40,had defective expansion in chimeric mice,in which ILC3s were specifically deficient for OX40L expression.Consistently,co-localization of Tregs and ILC3s was found in the cryptopatches of the intestine,which suggests the close interaction between ILC3s and Tregs.Our study has unveiled the crosstalk between Tregs and ILC3s in mucosal tissues through OX40–OX40L signaling,which is crucial for the homeostasis of intestinal Tregs.Tian Deng Caixia Suo Jiali Chang Rui Yang Jingyu Li Ting Cai Ju Qiu 2020Cellular & Molecular Immunology2020,17,2:3
6Semi-enclosed experimental system for coal spontaneous combustion for determining regional distribution of high-temperature zone of coal fire显示文摘Temperature variation and gas generation at diferent depths and positions in the coal combustion process were studied to determine the propagation and evolution of high temperature regions in the process of coal spontaneous combustion.This study selected coal samples from Mengcun,Shaanxi Province,People’s Republic of China,and developed a semi-enclosed experimental system(furnace)for simulating coal combustion.The thermal mass loss of coal samples under various heating rates(5,10,and 15℃/min)was analyzed through thermogravimetric analysis,and the dynamic characteristics of the coal samples were analyzed;the reliability of the semi-enclosed experimental system was verifed through the equal proportional method of fuzzy response.The results reveal that the high-temperature zone is distributed nonlinearly from the middle to the front end of the furnace,and the temperatures of points in this zone decreased gradually as the layer depth increased.The apparent activation energy of the coal samples during combustion frst increased and then decreased as the conversion degree increased.Furthermore,the proportion of mass loss and the mass loss rate in the coal samples observed in the thermogravimetric experiment is consistent with that observed in the frst and second stages of the experiment conducted using the semi-enclosed system.The research fndings can provide a theoretical basis for the prevention and control of hightemperature zones in coal combustion.Jingyu Zhao Hanqi Ming Tao Guo Yuxuan Zhang Jun Deng Jiajia Song Qiang Zeng Chi‑Min Shu 2022International Journal of Coal Science & Technology2022,9,5:3
7Lipidomic and transcriptomic analysis reveals reallocation of carbon flux from cuticular wax into plastid membrane lipids in a glossy“Newhall”navel orange mutant显示文摘Both cuticle and membrane lipids play essential roles in quality maintenance and disease resistance in fresh fruits.Many reports have indicated the modification of alternative branch pathways in epicuticular wax mutants;however,the specific alterations concerning lipids have not been clarified thus far.Here,we conducted a comprehensive,timeresolved lipidomic,and transcriptomic analysis on the“Newhall”navel orange(WT)and its glossy mutant(MT)“Gannan No.1”.The results revealed severely suppressed wax formation accompanied by significantly elevated production of 36-carbon plastid lipids with increasing fruit maturation in MT.Transcriptomics analysis further identified a series of key functional enzymes and transcription factors putatively involved in the biosynthesis pathways of wax and membrane lipids.Moreover,the high accumulation of jasmonic acid(JA)in MT was possibly due to the need to maintain plastid lipid homeostasis,as the expression levels of two significantly upregulated lipases(CsDAD1 and CsDALL2)were positively correlated with plastid lipids and characterized to hydrolyze plastid lipids to increase the JA content.Our results will provide new insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying the natural variation of plant lipids to lay a foundation for the quality improvement of citrus fruit.Haoliang Wan Hongbo Liu Jingyu Zhang Yi Lyu Zhuoran Li Yizhong He Xiaoliang Zhang Xiuxin Deng Yariv Brotman Alisdair RFernie Yunjiang Cheng Weiwei Wen 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:2

18Numerical analysis on the transport properties and residence time distribution of ribbon biomass particles in a riser reactor based on CFD-DEM approach显示文摘A bended ribbon biomass particle model was developed to explore the dynamic transport properties inside a riser reactor.Residence time distribution(RTD)of the particles was analyzed by using the Eulerian-Lagrange method.The effects of sampling height,particle density,particle size and gas-to-solid mass ratio on RTD were investigated.The coupled Computational Fluid Dynamics and Discrete Element Method(CFD-DEM)model was verified firstly by experimental data on pressure drop and residence time distribution density function.The simulation results demonstrated that the ribbon biomass particles display a typical annular-core spatial distribution during transportation.The RTD of particles exhibit an approximate single-peaked normal distribution.The mean residence time(MRT)can reach up to 0.7 s when the particle density is 1200 kg/m3.Particle with higher density has longer mean residence time.The flow patterns are closer to plug flow if particle length over 12 mm.The particle flow pattern is not sensitive to changes in particle density and size,while the gas-to-material mass ratio has a significant impact on it.Haichao Zhao Conghui Gu Bingyang Xu Yuan Liu Mingpu Du Kaiyuan Deng Jingyu Zhu Iana Voronina Zhulin Yuan 2024Particuology2024,87,4:0
19g-C_(3)N_(4) Derived Materials for Photocatalytic Hydrogen Production: A Mini Review on Design Strategies显示文摘Hydrogen production through solar energy is one of the most important pathways to meet the growing demand of renewable energy,and photocatalyst participation in solar hydrolytic hydrogen production has received great attention in recent years in terms of low cost,high efficiency,and flexible design.Particularly,g-C_(3)N_(4)(Graphitic-like carbon nitride material),as a unique material,can catalyze the hydrogen production process by completing the separation and transmission of charge.The easily adjustable pore structure/surface area,dimension,band-gap modulation and defect have shown great potential for hydrogen production from water cracking.In this review,the most recent advance of g-C_(3)N_(4) including the doping of metal and non-metal elements,and the formation of semiconductor heterojunction is highlighted.The main modification strategies and approaches for the design of g-C_(3)N_(4) for hydrogen production,as well as the influence of various materials on hydrogen evolution regarding the photocatalysis mechanism and advantages brought by theoretical calculations are specially and briefly illu-strated.Potential design pathways and strategies of g-C_(3)N_(4) are discussed.In addition,current challenges of hydrogen production from g-C_(3)N_(4) water splitting are summarized and can be expected.Kai Su Shaoqi Deng Linxiao Li Qirui Qin Jingyu Yang Yan Chen Shengli Zhang Junming Chen 2022Journal of Renewable Materials2022,10,3:0
20Insight into the hydrogen oxidation electrocatalytic performance enhancement on Ni via oxophilic regulation of MoO_(2)显示文摘Exploring platinum-group-metal(PGM)free electrocatalysts for hydrogen oxidation reaction(HOR)in alkaline media is essential to the progress of anion exchange membrane fuel cells(AEMFCs).In this work,a Ni/MoO_(2) heterostructure catalyst with comparable HOR activity in alkaline electrolyte with PGM catalyst was prepared by a simple hydrothermal-reduction method.Remarkably,the Ni/MoO_(2) presents a mass kinetic current density of 38.5 mA mgNi^(-1) at the overpotential of 50 mV,which is higher than that of the best PGM free HOR catalyst reported by far.Moreover,the HOR performance of Ni/MoO_(2) under 100 ppm CO shows negligible fading,together with the superior durability,render it significant potential for application in AEMFCs.A particular mechanistic study indicates that the excellent HOR performance is ascribed to the accelerated Volmer step by the incorporation of MoO_(2).The function of MoO_(2) was further confirmed by CO striping experiment on Pt/C-MoO_(2) that MoO_(2) can facilitated OH adsorption thus accelerate the HOR process.On account of the high performance and low cost,the Ni/MoO_(2) electrocatalyst encourages the establishment of high performance PGM free catalyst and shows significant potential for application in AEMFCs.Shaofeng Deng Xupo Liu Xuyun Guo Tonghui Zhao Yun Lu Jingyu Cheng Ke Chen Tao Shen Ye Zhu Deli Wang 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,3:0
