| 3 | The application and efficacy of stent place for Budd-Chiari syndrome显示文摘Objective To evaluate the application value and efficacy on stent place for Budd-Chiari syndrome(BCS). Methods From January 1990 to May 2017, 2228 patients with BCS were admitted to our institution. The mean age was 43.3 years. Stents were placed in inferior vena cava(IVC), hepatic vein(HV), or both after balloon dilation. During follow-up period, the patency of stent was evaluated by ultrasound regularly and the clinic sign was surveyed by letter, telephone or clinic visit. The restenosis of stent were treated with balloon dilatation and thrombolysis to restore the its function. Results IVC type was diagnosed in 1492 cases, HV type in 510 cases, and mixed type in 226 cases. Eighteen patients aborted treatment because of economic reasons, advanced liver cancer, severe scoliosis, or both bilateral iliac veins and total IVC occlusion. Among the other 2210 cases who underwent endovascular therapy, stents were implanted into IVC in 339 cases, HV in 97 cases, mixed type in 64 cases. The rate of restenosis in IVC stent was 11.50%(39/339). After repeat angioplasty, the long-term patency rate reached to 98.12%. The incidence of HV occlusion caused by IVC stent was 12.09%(n = 41). Restenosis occurred in 47 cases(48.45%) after HV stent placement. However, the 5-year patency rate was 91.75%(89/97) after repeat dilatation and stent re-implantation. The incidence of IVC obstruction caused by HV was 3.33%(3 cases). Conclusion IVC stent placement appears to be an effective treatment for the cases of IVC segmental occlusion, and at the same time, the stent has the dual role of compression and fixation of thrombus and support of lumen. The HV and accessory hepatic vein obstruction could happen when the IVC stent crossed these veins ostium. | 4 | Blunted nitric oxide regulation in Tibetans under high-altitude hypoxia显示文摘Nitric oxide(NO) is an important molecule for vasomotor tone, and elevated NO signaling was previously hypothesized as a unique and adaptive physiological change in highland Tibetans. However, there has been lack of NO data from Tibetans living at low altitude and lowlander immigrants living at high altitude, which is crucial to test this hypothesis. Here, through cross-altitude(1990–5018 m) and cross-population(Tibetans and Han Chinese) analyses of serum NO metabolites(NOx) of 2086 individuals, we demonstrate that although Tibetans have a higher serum NOx level compared to lowlanders, Han Chinese immigrants living at high altitude show an even higher level than Tibetans. Consequently, our data contradict the previous proposal of increased NO signaling as the unique adaptive strategy in Tibetans.Instead, Tibetans have a relatively lower circulating NOx level at high altitude. This observation is further supported by data from the hypoxic experiments using human umbilical vein endothelial cells and gene knockout mice. No difference is detected between Tibetans and Han Chinese for endothelial nitric oxide synthase(e NOS), the key enzyme for circulating NO synthesis, suggesting that e NOS itself is unlikely to be the cause. We show that other NO synthesis-related genes(e.g. GCH1) carry Tibetan-enriched mutations significantly associated with the level of circulating NOx in Tibetans. | 5 | Metastatic status of sentinel lymph nodes in breast cancer determined with photoacoustic microscopy via dual-targeting nanoparticles显示文摘Detection of sentinel lymph nodes(SLNs)is critical to guide the treatment of breast cancer.However,distinguishing metastatic SLNs from normal and inflamed lymph nodes(LNs)during surgical resection remains a challenge.Here,we report a CD44 and scavenger receptor class B1 dual-targeting hyaluronic acid nanoparticle(5K-HA-HPPS)loaded with the near-infra-red fluorescent dye DiR-BOA for SLN imaging in breast cancer.The small sized(~40 nm)self-assembled 5K-HA-HPPSs accumulated rapidly in the SLNs after intradermal injection.Compared with normal popliteal LNs(N-LN),there were ~3.2-fold and ~2.4-fold increases in fluorescence intensity in tumour metastatic SLNs(T-MLN)and inflamed LNs(Inf-LN),respectively,6 h after nanoparticle inoculation.More importantly,photoacoustic microscopy(PAM)of 5KHA-HPPS showed a significantly distinct distribution in T-MLN compared with N-LN and Inf-LN.Signals were mainly distributed at the centre of T-MLN but at the periphery of N-LN and Inf-LN.The ratio of PA intensity(R)at the centre of the LNs compared with that at the periphery was 5.93±0.75 for T-MLNs of the 5K-HA-HPPS group,which was much higher than that for the Inf-LNs(R=0.2±0.07)and N-LNs(R=0.45±0.09).These results suggest that 5K-HA-HPPS injection combined with PAM provides a powerful tool for distinguishing metastatic SLNs from pLNs and inflamed LNs,thus guiding the removal of SLNs during breast cancer surgery. | Yanfeng Dai Xiang Yu Jianshuang Wei Fanxin Zeng Yiran Li Xiaoquan Yang Qingming Luo Zhihong Zhang | 2020 | Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1: | 6 |

| 11 | Polarization-independent all-silicon dielectric metasurfaces in the terahertz regime显示文摘Dielectric metasurfaces have achieved great success in realizing high-efficiency wavefront control in the optical and infrared ranges. Here, we experimentally demonstrate several efficient, polarization-independent, all-silicon dielectric metasurfaces in the terahertz regime. The metasurfaces are composed of cylindrical silicon pillars on a silicon substrate, which can be easily fabricated using etching technology for semiconductors. By locally tailoring the diameter of the pillars, full control over abrupt phase changes can be achieved. To show the controlling ability of the metasurfaces, an anomalous deflector, three Bessel beam generators, and three vortex beam generators are fabricated and characterized. We also show that the proposed metasurfaces can be easily combined to form composite devices with extended functionalities. | 13 | Effect of sulfur source on photocatalytic degradation performance of CdS/MoS2 prepared with one-step hydrothermal synthesis显示文摘Cd S/Mo S_2,an extremely efficient photocatalyst,has been extensively used in hydrogen photoproduction and pollutant degradation.Cd S/Mo S_2can be synthesized by a facile one-step hydrothermal process.However,the effect of the sulfur source on the synthesis of Cd S/Mo S_2via one-step hydrothermal methods has seldom been investigated.We report herein a series of one-step hydrothermal preparations of Cd S/Mo S_2using three different sulfur sources:thioacetamide,L-cysteine,and thiourea.The results revealed that the sulfur source strongly affected the crystallization,morphology,elemental composition and ultraviolet(UV)–visible-light-absorption ability of the Cd S/Mo S_2.Among the investigated sulfur sources,thioacetamide provided the highest visible-light absorption ability for Cd S/Mo S_2,with the smallest average particle size and largest surface area,resulting in the highest efficiency in Methylene Blue(MB)degradation.The photocatalytic activity of Cd S/Mo S_2synthesized from the three sulfur sources can be arranged in the following order:thioacetamide>L-cysteine>thiourea.The reaction rate constants(k)for thioacetamide,L-cysteine,and thiourea were estimated to be 0.0197,0.0140,and 0.0084 min^(-1),respectively.However,thioacetamide may be limited in practical application in terms of its price and toxicity,while L-cysteine is relatively economical,less toxic and exhibited good photocatalytic degradation performance toward MB. | Yanfeng Wang Wei Chen Xiao Chen Huajun Feng Dongsheng Shen Bin Huang Yufeng Jia Yuyang Zhou Yuxiang Liang | 2018 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2018,30,3: | 3 |

The results on scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis indicate that the remanence B r of the magnets is mainly influenced by the degree of the easy-axis orientation when sintering temperature is less than 1085 °C, the rapidly increasing amount of the secondly phase (5:19 phase) gives rise to the deterioration of the magnetic properties of the magnet above 1085 °C. Moreover, it is found that intrinsic coercivity H ci is strongly related to the content of copper in the matrix of the sintered magnets. | 17 | Parallelized Implementation of the Finite Particle Method for Explicit Dynamics in GPU显示文摘As a novel kind of particle method for explicit dynamics,the finite particle method(FPM)does not require the formation or solution of global matrices,and the evaluations of the element equivalent forces and particle displacements are decoupled in nature,thus making this method suitable for parallelization.The FPM also requires an acceleration strategy to overcome the heavy computational burden of its explicit framework for time-dependent dynamic analysis.To this end,a GPU-accelerated parallel strategy for the FPM is proposed in this paper.By taking advantage of the independence of each step of the FPM workflow,a generic parallelized computational framework for multiple types of analysis is established.Using the Compute Unified Device Architecture(CUDA),the GPU implementations of the main tasks of the FPM,such as evaluating and assembling the element equivalent forces and solving the kinematic equations for particles,are elaborated through careful thread management and memory optimization.Performance tests show that speedup ratios of 8,25 and 48 are achieved for beams,hexahedral solids and triangular shells,respectively.For examples consisting of explicit dynamic analyses of shells and solids,comparisons with Abaqus using 1 to 8 CPU cores validate the accuracy of the results and demonstrate a maximum speed improvement of a factor of 11.2. | Jingzhe Tang Yanfeng Zheng Chao Yang Wei Wang Yaozhi Luo | 2020 | Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2020,,1: | 2 |
