Preoperative neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio plus platelet-to-lymphocyte ratioin predicting survival for patients with stage Ⅰ-Ⅱgastric cancer显示文摘Background:The preoperative neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR) and the platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio(PLR) are associated with poor prognosis of gastric cancer. We aimed to determine whether the combination of NLR and PLR(NLR-PLR) could better predict survival of patients after curative resection for stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ gastric cancer. Methods:We collected data from the medical records of patients with stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ gastric cancer undergoing curative resection between December 2000 and November 2012 at the Sun Yat-sen Cancer Center. The preoperative NLRPLR was calculated as follows:patients with both elevated NLR(≥2.1) and PLR(≥ 120) were given a score of 2,and patients with only one or neither were given a score of 1 or 0,respectively.Results:Kaplan-Meier analysis and log-rank tests revealed significant differences in overall survival(OS) among patients with NLR-PLR scores of 0,1 and 2(P < 0.001).Multivariate analysis showed that OS was independently associated with the NLR-PLR score[hazard ratio(HR) = 1.51,95%confidence interval(CI) 1.02-2.24,P = 0.039]and TNM stage(HR = 1.36,95%CI 1.01-1.83,P= 0.041).However,other systemic inflammation-based prognostic scores, including the modified Glasgow prognostic score, the prognostic nutritional index, and the combination of platelet count and NLR,were not.In TNM stage-stratified analysis, the prognostic significance of NLR-PLR was maintained in patients with stage Ⅰ(P < 0.001) and stage Ⅱ cancers(P= 0.022).In addition, the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve for the NLR-PLR score was higher than those of other systemic inflammation-based prognostic scores(P = 0.001).Conclusion:The preoperative NLR-PLR score is a useful predictor of postoperative survival in the patients with stage l-ll gastric cancer and may help identify high-risk patients for rational therapy and timely follow-up. | Xiaowei Sun Xuechao Liu Jianjun Liu Shangxiang Chen Dazhi Xu Wei Li Youqing Zhan Yuanfang Li Yingbo Chen Zhiwei Zhou | 2016 | Chinese Journal of Cancer2016,35,7: | 25
A Plant Lectin Receptor-like Kinase Phosphorylates the Bacterial Effector AvrPtoB to Dampen Its Virulence in Arabidopsis显示文摘Plasma membrane-localized receptor-like kinases(RLKs)perceive conserved pathogen-associated molecular pattems(PAMPs)in plants, leading to PAMP-triggered immunity(PTI).TheArabidopsis thaliana lectin RLK LecRK-Ⅸ.2 has been shown to regulate the bacterial flagellin-derived peptide flg22-induced PTI.Here,we discover that Pseudomonas syringae effector AvrPtoB targets LecRK-Ⅸ.2 for degradation, which subsequently suppresses LecRK-Ⅸ.2-mediated PTI and disease resistance.However,LecRK-Ⅸ.2 can interact with and phosphorylate AvrPtoB at serine site 335(S335).AvrPtoB self-associates in vitro and in vivo, and the association appears to be essential for its E3 ligase activity in ubiquitinating substrate in plants.Phosphorylation of S335 disrupts the self-association and as a result, phosphomimetic AvrPtoBS335D cannot ubiquitinate LecRK-Ⅸ.2 efficiently, leading to the compromised virulence of AvrPtoB in suppressing PTI responses.fig22 enhances AvrPtoB S335 phosphorylation by inducing the expression and activating of LecRK-Ⅸ.2.Our study demonstrates that host RLKs can modify pathogen effectors to dampen their virulence and undermine their ability in suppressing PTI. | Ning Xu Xuming Luo Wei Wu Yingying Xing Yingbo Liang Yanzhi Liu Huasong Zou Hai-Lei Wei Jun Liu | 2020 | Molecular Plant2020,13,10: | 5
Advance in yellowing mechanism and the regulation technology of post-harvested broccoli显示文摘Yellowing is one of the main problems of quality deterioration in the storage, transportation, and sales of post-harvested broccoli, which seriously affects the commodity value of broccoli. Therefore,it is of significance to understand the mechanism of the process and develop effective regulation technology. In this review,we expounded the changes in the appearance of the flower ball, bud morphology, and calyx cell structure,as well as endogenous pigment metabolism, accompanying the yellowing process of broccoli. In addition, recent research on the molecular mechanism of yellowing was summarized from the aspects of transcriptome analysis and transcription regulation. Finally, the progress on the control technology of broccoli yellowing was reviewed. | Feng Luo Huixin Fang Baodong Wei Shunchang Cheng Qian Zhou Xin Zhou Xuan Zhang Yingbo Zhao Shujuan Ji | 2020 | Food Quality and Safety2020,4,3: | 2

Key immunity characteristics of diverse stages of brucellosis in rural population from Inner Mongolia, China显示文摘Background: Brucellosis poses a serious threat to human and animal health, particularly in developing countries such as China. The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is one of the most severely brucellosis-endemic provinces in China.Currently, the host immune responses functioning to control Brucella infection and development remain poorly understood. The aim of this study is to further clarify the key immunity characteristics of diverse stages of brucellosis in Inner Mongolia. Methods: We collected a total of 733 blood samples from acute(n=137),chronic(n=316),inapparent(n=35),recovery(n=99),and healthy(n=146)groups from the rural community of Inner Mongolia between 2014 and 2015.The proportions of CD4^(+),CD8^(+),Th1,Th2,and Th17 T cells in peripheral blood and the expression of TLR2 and TLR4 in lymphocytes, monocytes and granulocytes were examined using flow cytometry analysis. The differences among the five groups were compared using one-way ANOVA and the Kruskal–Wallis method, respectively. Results: Our results revealed that the proportions of CD4^(+) and CD8^(+) T cells were significantly different among the acute, chronic, recovery, and healthy control groups(P<0.05),with lower proportions of CD4^(+) T cells and a higher proportion of CD8^(+) T cells in the acute, chronic, and recovery groups. The proportion of Th1 cells in the acute, chronic, and inapparent groups was higher than that in the healthy and recovery groups;however, there was no significant difference between patients and healthy individuals(P>0.05).The proportion of Th2 lymphocytes was significantly higher in the acute and healthy groups than in the inapparent group(P<0.05).The proportion of Th17 cells in the acute group was significantly higher than that in the healthy control, chronic, and inapparent groups(P<0.05).Finally,the highest expression of TLR4 in lymphocytes, monocytes and granulocytes was observed in the recovery group, and this was followed by the acute, chronic, healthy control, and inapparent groups. There was a significant difference between the recovery group and the other groups, except for the acute group(P<0.05).Moreover,a correlation in TLR4 expression was observed in lymphocytes, monocytes and granulocytes among the five groups(r>0.5),except for the inapparent group between lymphocytes and granulocytes(r=0.34).Conclusions: Two key factors(CD8^(+)T cells and TLR4)in human immune profiles may closely correlate with the progression of brucellosis. The detailed function of TLR4 in the context of a greater number of cell types or tissues in human or animal brucellosis and in larger samples should be further explored in the future. | Yongzhang Zhu Li Shi Yige Zeng Dongri Piao Yingbo Xie Juan Du Meng Gao Wei Gao Junli Tian Jun Yue Min Li XiaoKui Guo Yufeng Yao YaoXia Kang | 2022 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2022,11,3: | 1

Ordered structure of interlayer constructed with metal-organic frameworks improves the performance of lithium-sulfur batteries显示文摘Lithium-sulfur(Li-S)battery has attracted intensive attention in the realm of energy storage owing to its high theoretical capacity and energy density. However, the shuttle effect of soluble lithium polysulfides(LiPSs)between electrodes results in rapid capacity degradation.Herein,a strategy which combines the design of both chemical interaction and microstructure of interlayer was proposed to suppress the shuttle effect. The chemical interaction between different functionalized MOFs and LiPSs was systematically studied to find the best candidate.Furthermore,an interlayer with ordered structure was constructed via the layer-by-layer assembly of metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)on graphene(UiO-66-NH_(2)@graphene)to create sinuous channels which can better impede the diffusion process of LiPSs by the strong adsorption of MOF toward LiPSs.Consequently,in comparison to the battery with a bare separator, the ordered interlayer increased the initial discharge capacity of battery by 28.98%at 1.0 C and lowered the capacity decay rate remarkably from 0.10%to 0.067%per cycle, indicating that the design of chemical interaction and microstructure paves the way for high-performance Li-S batteries. | Sijia Guo Yingbo Xiao Jia Wang Yuan Ouyang Xin Li Haoyan Deng Wenchao He Qinghan Zeng Wei Zhang Qi Zhang Shaoming Huang | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,12: | 1
Aryl hydrocarbon receptor activation drives polymorphonuclear myeloid-derived suppressor cell response and efficiently attenuates experimental Sjögren’s syndrome显示文摘Myeloid-derived suppressor cells(MDSCs)comprise heterogeneous myeloid cell populations with immunosuppressive capacity that contribute to immune regulation and tolerance induction. We previously reported impaired MDSC function in patients with primary Sjögren’s syndrome(pSS)and mice with experimental SS(ESS).However, the molecular mechanisms underlying MDSC dysfunction remain largely unclear. In this study,we first found that aryl hydrocarbon receptor(AhR)was highly expressed by human and murine polymorphonuclear MDSCs(PMN-MDSCs).Indole-3-propionic acid(IPA),a natural AhR ligand produced from dietary tryptophan, significantly promoted PMN-MDSC differentiation and suppressive function on CD4^(+)T cells. In contrast, feeding a tryptophan-free diet resulted in a decreased PMN-MDSC response,a phenotype that could be reversed by IPA supplementation. The functional importance of PMN-MDSCs was demonstrated in ESS mice by using a cell-depletion approach.Notably,AhR expression was reduced in PMN-MDSCs during ESS development, while AhR antagonism resulted in exacerbated ESS pathology and dysregulated T effector cells, which could be phenocopied by a tryptophan-free diet.Interferon regulatory factor 4(IRF4),a repressive transcription factor, was upregulated in PMN-MDSCs during ESS progression.Chromatin immunoprecipitation analysis revealed that IRF4 could bind to the promoter region of AhR,while IRF4 deficiency markedly enhanced AhR-mediated PMN-MDSC responses.Furthermore, dietary supplementation with IPA markedly ameliorated salivary glandular pathology in ESS mice with restored MDSC immunosuppressive function.Together, our results identify a novel function of AhR in modulating the PMN-MDSC response and demonstrate the therapeutic potential of targeting AhR for the treatment of pSS. | Yanxia Wei Na Peng Chong Deng Futao Zhao Jie Tian Yuan Tang Sulan Yu Yacun Chen Yu Xue Fan Xiao Yingbo Zhou Xiaomei Li Hejian Zou Ke Rui Xiang Lin Liwei Lu | 2022 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2022,19,12: | 1
Heat Transfer Model Founded and Regional Suitability Analysis of Photovoltaic Walls with Different Structures显示文摘The heat transfer performance and suitability of photovoltaic walls with different structures in different regions have been studied. First, a quasi-two-dimensional calculation model was established to realize the simulation of photovoltaic walls with three structural forms(ordinary wall with air layer opening, air layer closed and no air layer);combined with the experimental data, the accuracy of the two-dimensional calculation model was verified. Based on the simulation results, the suitability of different structural forms of photovoltaic walls in areas with different climatic conditions were compared and analyzed. The results of the study show that the southern China that emphasize the purpose of ventilation and heat dissipation should adopt photovoltaic walls with open air layers, and the northern regions that emphasize the purpose of heat preservation and heat insulation should adopt photovoltaic walls with closed air layers;for transitional areas, the type of photovoltaic wall should be considered comprehensively according to environmental conditions and local building conditions. | ZHANG Wenjie ZHAO Yingbo LIU Wei GONG Tongdan LIU Kangyong | 2022 | Journal of Thermal Science2022,31,6: | 0

A minimum interface trap density of 3×10^(11) cm^(-2) eV^(-1) is obtained without postmetallization annealing treatment.Additionally, utilizing Ti/Al_(2)O_(3)/In P MOS gate stack,we fabricated ultra-thin body buried In0.35 Ga0.65 As channel MOSFETs on Si substrates with optimized on/off trade-off. The 200 nm gate length device with extremely low off-current of 0.6 n A/μm, and on-off ratio of 3.3×10^(5), is demonstrated by employing buried low indium(In_(0.35) Ga_(0.65) As) channel with In P barrier/spacer device structure, giving strong potential for future highperformance and low-power applications. | WANG Bo DING Peng FENG Ruize WANG Yanfu LIU Xiaoyu SUN Tangyou CHEN Yonghe LIU Xingpeng LI Qi LI Yue LIU Yingbo YIN Yihui ZHAO Hao ZHANG Wei LI Haiou JIN Zhi | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Electronics2021,30,6: | 0 |
