1Preoperative neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio plus platelet-to-lymphocyte ratioin predicting survival for patients with stage Ⅰ-Ⅱgastric cancer显示文摘Background:The preoperative neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR) and the platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio(PLR) are associated with poor prognosis of gastric cancer.We aimed to determine whether the combination of NLR and PLR(NLR-PLR) could better predict survival of patients after curative resection for stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ gastric cancer.Methods:We collected data from the medical records of patients with stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ gastric cancer undergoing curative resection between December 2000 and November 2012 at the Sun Yat-sen Cancer Center.The preoperative NLRPLR was calculated as follows:patients with both elevated NLR(≥2.1) and PLR(≥ 120) were given a score of 2,and patients with only one or neither were given a score of 1 or 0,respectively.Results:Kaplan-Meier analysis and log-rank tests revealed significant differences in overall survival(OS) among patients with NLR-PLR scores of 0,1 and 2(P < 0.001).Multivariate analysis showed that OS was independently associated with the NLR-PLR score[hazard ratio(HR) = 1.51,95%confidence interval(CI) 1.02-2.24,P = 0.039]and TNM stage(HR = 1.36,95%CI 1.01-1.83,P= 0.041).However,other systemic inflammation-based prognostic scores,including the modified Glasgow prognostic score,the prognostic nutritional index,and the combination of platelet count and NLR,were not.In TNM stage-stratified analysis,the prognostic significance of NLR-PLR was maintained in patients with stage Ⅰ(P < 0.001) and stage Ⅱ cancers(P= 0.022).In addition,the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve for the NLR-PLR score was higher than those of other systemic inflammation-based prognostic scores(P = 0.001).Conclusion:The preoperative NLR-PLR score is a useful predictor of postoperative survival in the patients with stage l-ll gastric cancer and may help identify high-risk patients for rational therapy and timely follow-up.Xiaowei Sun Xuechao Liu Jianjun Liu Shangxiang Chen Dazhi Xu Wei Li Youqing Zhan Yuanfang Li Yingbo Chen Zhiwei Zhou 2016Chinese Journal of Cancer2016,35,7:25
2Prognostic factors of primary gastrointestinal stromal tumors: a cohort study based on high-volume centers显示文摘Objective: We aimed to evaluate the clinicopathologic characteristics, immunohistochemical expression and prognostic factors of patients with primary gastrointestinal stromal tumors(GISTs).Methods: Data from 2,570 consecutive GIST patients from four medical centers in China(January2001–December 2015) were reviewed. Survival curves were constructed by the Kaplan-Meier method, and Cox regression models were used to identify independent prognostic factors.Results: Of the included patients, 1,375(53.5%) were male, and the patient age range was 18 to 95(median, 58)years. The tumors were mostly found in the stomach(64.5%), small intestine(25.1%) and colorectal region(5.1%).At the time of diagnosis, the median tumor size was 4.0(range: 0.1–55.0) cm, and the median mitotic index per 50 high power fields(HPFs) was 3(range: 0–254). Of the 2,168 resected patients, 2,009(92.7%) received curative resection. According to the modified National Institutes of Health(NIH) classification, 21.9%, 28.9%, 14.1% and35.1% were very low-, low-, intermediate-and high-risk tumors, respectively. The rate of positivity was 96.4% for c-Kit, 87.1% for CD34, 96.9% for delay of germination 1(DOG-1), 8.0% for S-100, 31.0% for smooth muscle actin(SMA) and 5.1% for desmin. However, the prognostic value of each was limited. Multivariate analysis showed that age, tumor size, mitotic index, tumor site, occurrence of curative resection and postoperative imatinib were independent prognostic factors. Furthermore, we found that high-risk patients benefited significantly from postoperative imatinib(P<0.001), whereas intermediate-risk patients did not(P=0.954).Conclusions: Age, tumor size, mitotic index, tumor site, occurrence of curative resection and postoperative imatinib were independent prognostic factors in patients with GISTs. 3Discovery of mantle and lower crust xenoliths from early Cretaceous volcanic rocks of southwestern Tianshan,Xinjiang显示文摘In Tuoyun area of southwestern Tianshan, mantle and lower crust xenoliths are present In the volcanic rocks with ages of 101-123 Ma. Mantle xenoliths include mineral megacrysts such as kaersutite and pargasite, feldspar, biotite, and rare pyroxene and rock fragments such as perodotite, pyroxenite, amphibolite, and rare glimmerite. Lower crust xenoliths are mainly banded and massive granulite. The volcanic rocks were produced by within-plate magmatism. Occurrence of hydrous and volatile mineral megacrysts, amphibolite, and some pyroxenite containing hydrous and volatile minerals indicates that mantle metasomatism was intense. 4High temperature and high pressure rheological properties of high-density water-based drilling fluids for deep wells显示文摘To maintain tight control over rheological properties of high-density water-based drilling fluids, it is essential to understand the factors influencing the rheology of water-based drilling fluids. This paper examines temperature effects on the rheological properties of two types of high-density water-based drilling fluids (fresh water-based and brine-based) under high temperature and high pressure (HTHP) with a Fann 50SL rheometer. On the basis of the water-based drilling fluid systems formulated in laboratory, this paper mainly describes the influences of different types and concentration of clay, the content of a colloid stabilizer named GHJ-1 and fluid density on the rheological parameters such as viscosity and shear stress. In addition, the effects of aging temperature and aging time of the drilling fluid on these parameters were also examined. Clay content and proportions for different densities of brine-based fluids were recommended to effectively regulate the rheological properties. Four rheological models, the Bingham, power law, Casson and H-B models, were employed to fit the rheological parameters. It turns out that the H-B model was the best one to describe the rheological properties of the high-density drilling fluid under HTHP conditions and power law model produced the worst fit. 5Metal chalcogenide complex-mediated fabrication of Cu_2S film as counter electrode in quantum dot sensitized solar cells显示文摘Cu2S film onto FTO glass substrate was obtained to function as counter electrode for polysulfide redox reactions in CdS/CdSe co-sensitized solar cells by sintering after spraying a metal chalcogenide complex, N4H9Cu7S4 solution. Relative to Pt counter electrode, the Cu2S counter electrode provides greater electrocatalytic activity and lower charge transfer resistance. The prepared Cu2S counter electrode represented nanoflower-like porous film which was composed of Cu2S nanosheets on FTO and had a higher surface area and lower sheet resistance than that of sulfided brass Cu2S counter electrode. 6High-Performance Aqueous Zinc-Ion Batteries Realized by MOF Materials显示文摘Rechargeable aqueous zinc-ion batteries(ZIB s) have been gaining increasing interest for large-scale energy storage applications due to their high safety,good rate capability,and low cost.However,the further development of ZIB s is impeded by two main challenges:Currently reported cathode materials usually suffer from rapid capacity fading or high toxicity,and meanwhile,unstable zinc stripping/plating on Zn anode seriously shortens the cycling life of ZIBs.In this paper,metal-organic framework(MOF) materials are proposed to simultaneously address these issues and realize high-performance ZIB s with Mn(BTC) MOF cathodes and ZIF-8-coated Zn(ZIF-8@Zn) anodes.Various MOF materials were synthesized,and Mn(BTC) MOF was found to exhibit the best Zn^2+-storage ability with a capacity of 112 mAh g^-1.Zn^2+ storage mechanism of the Mn(BTC) was carefully studied.Besides,ZIF-8@Zn anodes were prepared by coating ZIF-8 MOF material on Zn foils.Unique porous structure of the ZIF-8 coating guided uniform Zn stripping/plating on the surface of Zn anodes.As a result,the ZIF-8@Zn anodes exhibited stable Zn stripping/plating behaviors,with 8 times longer cycle life than bare Zn foils.Based on the above,high-performance aqueous ZIBs were constructed using the Mn(BTC) cathodes and the ZIF-8@Zn anodes,which displayed an excellent long-cycling stability without obvious capacity fading after 900 charge/discharge cycles.This work provides a new opportunity for high-performance energy storage system.Xuechao Pu Baozheng Jiang Xianli Wang Wenbao Liu Liubing Dong Feiyu Kang Chengjun Xu 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,11:5
7Preparation of hollow fiber membranes from mullite particles with aid of sintering additives显示文摘Porous mullite hollow fiber membranes were prepared with a combined phase-inversion and sintering method,using three sintering additives including yttrium stabilized zirconia(YSZ),small mullite particles(SMP),and titanium oxide(TiO2)to promote the particle sintering.The results indicated that all the three additives could improve the sintering performance of mullite hollow fiber membranes due to the decrease in activation energy of mullite grains.Both YSZ and T i02 could react with mullite grains to generate composite oxides(e.g.,ZrSi04 and Al2Ti05)during sintering,following a reaction-sintering mechanism.Interestingly,the newly generated ZrSiO4 was instable and further decomposed into monoclinic ZrO2 and SiO2 in the sintering process.The decomposition could avoid excessive embedment of composite oxides among mullite grains which have negative impact on mechanical strength of mullite hollow fibers.Overall,the doping of YSZ provided a better promotion effect on the sintering of mullite hollow fiber membranes,where the microstructural and mechanical properties are insensitive to the doping content and sintering temperatures,so it could be used as the candidate for the large-scale preparation of mullite hollow fibers.Hua LIU Jinyun LIU Zhou HONG Shengxian WANG Xuechao GAO Xuehong GU 2021Journal of Advanced Ceramics2021,10,1:3

9Stability of HIV-1 subtype B and C Tat is associated with variation in the carboxyl-terminal region显示文摘The multifunctional trans-activator Tat is an essential regulatory protein for HIV-1 replication and is characterized by high sequence diversity. Numerous experimental studies have examined Tat in HIV-1 subtype B, but research on subtype C Tat is lacking, despite the high prevalence of infections caused by subtype C worldwide. We hypothesized that amino acid differences contribute to functional differences among Tat proteins. In the present study, we found that subtype B NL4-3Tat and subtype C isolate HIV1084 i Tat exhibited differences in stability by overexpressing the fusion protein Tat-Flag. In addition, 1084 i Tat can activate LTR and NF-κB more efficiently than NL4-3 Tat. In analyses of the activities of the truncated forms of Tat, we found that the carboxylterminal region of Tat regulates its stability and transactivity. 11Few-layer Ti3C2Tx MXene delaminated via flash freezing for high-rate electrochemical capacitive energy storage显示文摘Few-layer Ti3C2Tx MXene is synthesized from multi-layered Ti3C2Tx via a flash freezing-assisted delamination process.During the flash freezing process,the water molecules in the interlayers of multi-layered MXene are induced to rearrange and produce volume expansion,thus notably expand the MXenes’interlayer distance to form few-layer MXene.The synthesized few-layer Ti3C2Tx MXene nanosheets display a very small thickness(less than 5 Ti3C2 atom-layers)and expanded interlayer spacing.Consequently,the few-layer Ti3C2Tx exhibits enhanced capacitance(255 F g^-1 vs.177 F g^-1 for the multi-layered Ti3C2Tx)and significantly optimized rate capability(150 F g^-1 at 200 mV s^-1 vs.25 F g^-1 for the multi-layered Ti3C2Tx),because redox-active sites in the few-layer MXene are easily accessible to electrolyte ions.Moreover,an asymmetric supercapacitor is constructed using the few-layer Ti3C2Tx negative electrode and an activated carbon fiber positive electrode.The asymmetric supercapacitor presents a high energy density of 17.9 Wh kg^-1 and a high power density of 14 kW kg^-1,which is inseparable from its wide voltage window of 1.4 V and the good rate performance of the few-layer Ti3C2Tx MXene electrode.Overall,the flash freezing-assist delamination provides an effective and environmental-friendly strategy to synthesize few-layer MXene materials for high-rate electrochemical energy storage.Xianli Wang Liubing Dong Wenbao Liu Yongfeng Huang Xuechao Pu Jinjie Wang Feiyu Kang Jia Lia Chengjun Xu 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,9:1

17Electrical manipulation of lightwaves in the uniaxially strained photonic honeycomb lattices under a pseudomagnetic field显示文摘The realization of pseudomagnetic fields for lightwaves has attained great attention in the field of nanophotonics.Like real magnetic fields,Landau quantization could be induced by pseudomagnetic fields in the strainengineered graphene.We demonstrated that pseudomagnetic fields can also be introduced to photonic crystals by exerting a linear parabolic deformation onto the honeycomb lattices,giving rise to degenerate energy states and flat plateaus in the photonic band structures.We successfully inspire the photonic snake modes corresponding to the helical state in the synthetic magnetic heterostructure by adopting a microdisk for the unidirectional coupling.By integrating heat electrodes,we can further electrically manipulate the photonic density of states for the uniaxially strained photonic crystal.This offers an unprecedented opportunity to obtain on-chip robust optical transports under the electrical tunable pseudomagnetic fields,opening the possibility to design Si-based functional topological photonic devices.ZHIPENG QI HAO SUN GUOHUA HU CHUNYU DENG WANGHUA ZHU BO LIU YING LI SHAOPENG LIU XUECHAO YU YINPING CUI 2023Photonics Research2023,11,7:0

19Layer-controlled nonlinear terahertz valleytronics in two-dimensional semimetal and semiconductor PtSe_(2)显示文摘Platinum diselenide(PtSe_(2))is a promising two-dimensional(2D)material for the terahertz(THz)range as,unlike other transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs),its bandgap can be uniquely tuned from a semiconductor in the nearinfrared to a semimetal with the number of atomic layers.This gives the material unique THz photonic properties that can be layer-engineered.Here,we demonstrate that a controlled THz nonlinearity—tuned from monolayer to bulk PtSe_(2)—can be realized in wafer size polycrystalline PtSe_(2)through the generation of ultrafast photocurrents and the engineering of the bandstructure valleys.This is combined with the PtSe_(2)layer interaction with the substrate for a broken material centrosymmetry,permitting a second order nonlinearity.Further,we show layer dependent circular dichroism,where the sign of the ultrafast currents and hence the phase of the emitted THz pulse can be controlled through the excitation of different bandstructure valleys.In particular,we show that a semimetal has a strong dichroism that is absent in the monolayer and few layer semiconducting limit.The microscopic origins of this TMD bandstructure engineering are highlighted through detailed DFT simulations,and shows the circular dichroism can be controlled when PtSe_(2)becomes a semimetal and when the K-valleys can be excited.As well as showing that PtSe_(2)is a promising material for THz generation through layer controlled optical nonlinearities,this work opens up a new class of circular dichroism materials beyond the monolayer limit that has been the case of traditional TMDs,and impacting a range of domains from THz valleytronics,THz spintronics to harmonic generation.Minoosh Hemmat Sabrine Ayari Martin Micica Hadrien Vergnet Shasha Guo Mehdi Arfaoui Xuechao Yu Daniel Vala Adrien Wright Kamil Postava Juliette Mangeney Francesca Carosella Sihem Jaziri Qi Jie Wang Zheng Liu Jérôme Tignon Robson Ferreira Emmanuel Baudin Sukhdeep Dhillon 2023InfoMat2023,5,11:0
20Optical,thermal and luminescence properties of La2O3-Ga2O3-ZrO2 glasses co-doped with Tm3+/Yb3+prepared by containerless technique显示文摘Bulk LaO-GaO-ZrO(LGZ)glass and Tm/Ybco-doped LGZ glasses were synthesized successfully using containerless technique.Raman spectra result reveals that the matrix sample possesses the low maximum phonon energy of~642 cm.The glasses show good compatibility between large Abbe numbers(>31)and high refractive indices(n>1.93).Moreover,transmittance measurements reflect that the glasses have high infrared transmittance of-81.9%,small OHabsorption coefficient and long mid-infrared cut-off wavelengths(-7.5μm).The surface morphology of host glass was characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM)micrograph and energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS)tests reflect that the doped compositions are distributed into the matrix glass homogeneously.The results of thermal analysis show that the glasses have good thermal properties(T>769℃).Excited by 980 am laser,an intense 1810 am fluorescence is obtained originating from the transition:~3 E→~3 Hof Tmion,accompanied by upconversion emission.It can be observed that 1810 nm fluorescence has the highest intensity at 1 mol%YbOand owns broad full width at half-maximum(>245 nm),the luminescence intensity of~3 F→~3 Htransition increases with rising temperature from 300 to 550 K.Furthermore,the value of energy transfer efficiency shows that Ybcan transfer energy to Tmeffectively.By fitting the attenuation curves,the lifetimes of 1810 and 474 nm emission can be acquired.Jiansheng Xie Minghui Zhang Yanzhuo Wang Rongting Guo Ying Shi Xiuhong Pan Xuechao Liu Kun Chen Meibo Tang Feng Wu Zhihong Zhang 2022Journal of Rare Earths2022,40,11:0
