| 1 | Single Zircon LA-ICP-MS U-Pb Dating of the Guandimiao and Wawutang Granitic Plutons in Hunan,South China and Its Petrogenetic Significance显示文摘The Guandimao and Wawutang plutons are located at the center of Hunan, South China. The former is mainly composed of biotite monzonitic granites/granodiorites and two-mica monzonitic granites, but the latter only consists of biotite monzonitic granites. The zircon ages of 203.0±1.6 Ma (biotite monzonitic granites) and 208.0±3.2 Ma (two-mica monzonitic granites) for the Guandimao pluton and 204±3 Ma for the Wawutang pluton obtained with the LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating indicate that they were formed during the late Indosinian. In consideration of other geochronological data from Indosinian rocks of South China and adjacent regions, it is inferred that the two plutons were derived from crustal materials by decompressional melting in a post-collisional tectonic setting during spontaneous thinning of the thickened curst. | 7 | Mapping of de novo mutations in primary biliary cholangitis to a disease-specific co-expression network underlying homeostasis and metabolism显示文摘Primary biliary cholangitis(PBC) is an autoimmune disease involving dysregulation of a broad array of homeostatic and metabolic processes. Although considerable single-nucleotide polymorphisms have been unveiled, a large fraction of risk factors remains enigmatic. Candidate genes with rare mutations that tend to confer more deleterious effects need to be identified. To help pinpoint cellular and developmental mechanisms beyond common noncoding variants, we integrate whole exome sequencing with integrative network analysis to investigate genes harboring de novo mutations. Prominent convergence has been revealed on a network of disease-specific co-expression comprised of 55 genes associated with homeostasis and metabolism. The transcription factor gene MEF2 D and the DNA repair gene PARP2 are highlighted as hub genes and identified to be up-and down-regulated, respectively, in peripheral blood data set. Enrichment analysis demonstrates that altered expression of MEF2 D and PARP2 may trigger a series of molecular and cellular processes with pivotal roles in PBC pathophysiology. | 8 | Progress in Antarctic marine geophysical research by the Chinese Polar Program显示文摘Marine geophysical survey by the Chinese National Antarctic Research Expedition(CHINARE) began with the first science expedition in 1984/1985, although only four cruises were performed in the vicinity of the Antarctic Peninsula between then and 1991/1992. After a 20 year hiatus, Antarctic marine geophysical research was relaunched by the Chinese Polar Environmental Comprehensive Investigation and Assessment Programs(known simply as the Chinese Polar Program) in 2011/2012. Integrated geophysical surveys have been carried out annually since, in Prydz Bay and the Ross Sea. During the last 5 years, we have acquired about 5500 km of bathymetric, gravimetric, and magnetic lines; more than 1800 km of seismic reflection lines; and data from several heat flow and Ocean Bottom Seismometer(OBS) stations. This work has deepened understandings of geophysical features and their implications for geological tectonics and glacial history in Antarctica and its surrounding seas. Compiled Antarctic Bouguer and Airy isostatic gravity anomalies show different features of tectonics between the East Antarctic stability and West Antarctic activity. Calculated magnetic anomalies, heat flow anomalies and lithospheric anisotropy offshore of Prydz Bay may imply high heat capacity of mantle shielded by the continental shelf lithosphere, but high heat dissipation of mantle due to the Cretaceous breakup of Gondwana along the continent and ocean transition(COT), where large sediment ridges would be brought about by the Oligocene ice sheet retreat and would enlarge free-air gravity anomalies. | 9 | Seroprevalence of influenza viruses in Shandong,Northern China during the COVID-19 pandemic显示文摘Nonpharmaceutical interventions(NPIs)have been commonly deployed to prevent and control the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),resulting in a worldwide decline in influenza prevalence.However,the influenza risk in China warrants cautious assessment.We conducted a cross-sectional,seroepidemiological study in Shandong Province,Northern China in mid-2021.Hemagglutination inhibition was performed to test antibodies against four influenza vaccine strains.A combination of descriptive and meta-analyses was adopted to compare the seroprevalence of influenza antibodies before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.The overall seroprevalence values against A/H1N1pdm09,A/H3N2,B/Victoria,and B/Yamagata were 17.8%(95%CI 16.2%–19.5%),23.5%(95%CI 21.7%–25.4%),7.6%(95%CI 6.6%–8.7%),and 15.0(95%CI 13.5%–16.5%),respectively,in the study period.The overall vaccination rate was extremely low(2.6%).Our results revealed that antibody titers in vaccinated participants were significantly higher than those in unvaccinated individuals(P<0.001).Notably,the meta-analysis showed that antibodies against A/H1N1pdm09 and A/H3N2 were significantly low in adults after the COVID-19 pandemic(P<0.01).Increasing vaccination rates and maintaining NPIs are recommended to prevent an elevated influenza risk in China. | Chuansong Quan Zhenjie Zhang Guoyong Ding Fengwei Sun Hengxia Zhao Qinghua Liu Chuanmin Ma Jing Wang Liang Wang Wenbo Zhao Jinjie He Yu Wang Qian He Michael J.Carr Dayan Wang Qiang Xiao Weifeng Shi | 2022 | Frontiers of Medicine2022,16,6: | 1 |

| 13 | Comparing the accuracy of Demirjian and Nolla methods and establishing a new method for dental age estimation in northeastern Chinese children显示文摘Dental age estimation plays an important role in the field of clinic medicine and forensic medicine.The Demirjian and Nolla methods are common scoring methods for dental age estimation but there was no research about the comparison of accuracy of these two methods in northeastern Chinese children.Hence,in this study,we compared the accuracy of these two methods to explore more suitable method for our studied population.We collected 535 orthopantomograms from northern Chinese children aged from 6 to 15 years and divided them into training dataset and testing dataset according to the ratio of 7:3.The dental age of training dataset were estimated using Demirjian and Nolla methods,respectively.The results suggested that the mean differences of these two methods were 0.24 and−0.40 years,and mean absolute difference were 0.65 and 0.59 years.Then to further improve the accuracy of dental age assessment,the new improved formulas and dental age conversion tables were established after analyzing the relationship between the sum scores based on Nolla method and chronology age in training dataset.According to the new method used in testing dataset,the minimum value of mean difference(0.00)and mean absolute difference(0.49)were obtained,which are largely smaller than that of Demirjian and Nolla methods.The new developed method and dental age conversion scales may be more suitable dental age estimation method for northeastern Chinese children. | Dan Wen Zhiyu Ding Zhikai Tian Wenshuang Wu Weifeng Qu Wei He Chudong Wang Jienan Li Lagabaiyila Zha Ying Liu | 2022 | Forensic Sciences Research2022,7,4: | 0 |

| 15 | Electrolyte induced synergistic construction of cathode electrolyte interphase and capture of reactive free radicals for safer high energy density lithium-ion battery显示文摘As the energy density of battery increases rapidly,lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)are facing serious safety issue with thermal runaway,which largely limits the large-scale applications of high-energy-density LIBs.It is generally agreed that the chemical crosstalk between the cathode and anode leads to thermal runaway of LIBs.Herein,a multifunctional high safety electrolyte is designed with synergistic construction of cathode electrolyte interphase and capture of reactive free radicals to limit the intrinsic pathway of thermal runaway.The cathode electrolyte interphase not only resists the gas attack from the anode but suppresses the parasitic side reactions induced by electrolyte.And the function of free radical capture has the ability of reducing heat release from thermal runaway of battery.The dual strategy improves the intrinsic safety of battery prominently that the triggering temperature of thermal runaway is increased by 24.4℃and the maximum temperature is reduced by 177.7℃.Simultaneously,the thermal runaway propagation in module can be self-quenched.Moreover,the electrolyte design balances the trade-off of electrochemical and safety performance of high-energy batteries.The capacity retention of LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)|graphite pouch cell has been significantly increased from 53.85%to 97.05%with higher coulombic efficiency of 99.94%at operating voltage extended up to 4.5 V for 200 cycles.Therefore,this work suggests a feasible strategy to mitigate the safety risk of high-energy-density LIBs without sacrificing electrochemical performances. | Mengfei Ding Xuning Feng Yong Peng Jing Jing Tong Bowen Hou Yalan Xing Weifeng Zhang Li Wang Yu Wu Jiabin Lv Chunyan Luo Dejun Xiong Shichao Zhang Minggao Ouyang | 2023 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,12: | 0 |

| 20 | Refocusing of the optical branched flow on a rough curved surface显示文摘The phenomenon of branched flow has attracted researchers since its inception,with recent observations of the light branching on soap bubbles.However,previous studies have primarily focused on the flat spacetime,overlooking the effect of surface curvature on branched flows.In this paper,we explore the branched flow phenomenon of light on a rough curved surface called constant Gaussian curvature surfaces(CGCSs).Compared with flat space,a CGCS demonstrates that the first branching point advances due to the focusing effect of the positive curvature of the surface.Furthermore,unlike on flat space,optical branches on curved surfaces do not consistently become chaotic during its transmission in a random potential field.On the contrary,the“entropy”decreases at specific positions,which reveals a sink flow phenomenon following the generation of branched flows.This result highlights the time inversion characteristics of CGCSs.Lastly,we demonstrated that the anomalous entropy reduction is related to the transverse and longitudinal coherence transformations of light.We suppose these efforts would fuel further investigation of the thermodynamic evolution and spatiotemporal inversion of random caustics,as well as their future application in the information transmission of random potentials in curved spacetime. | WEIFENG DING ZHAOYING WANG CHAOKAI YANG | 2023 | Photonics Research2023,11,12: | 0 |
