| 1 | Temporal and Spatial Variability of Dissolved Organic Carbon Concentration in the Xijiang River, South China显示文摘A whole year analysis of riverine dissolved organic carbon (DOC) concentrations in the Xijiang River (XJR), South China, showed that the mean riverine DOC concentration (1.24 mg L-1) in the XJR was notably lower than the averaged value (5.75 mg L-1) of the global riverine DOC concentration in several major rivers. There is an inconspicuous monthly fluctuation of the DOC signal in the XJR, but on a semi-yearly time scale, however, the riverine DOC concentration had significant difference between hydrological seasons. The DOC level during the flood season (1.18 mg L-1) was less than that during the non-flood season (1.40 mg L-1). Owing to the concomitance of the flushing and dilution effects of the runoff during the high-water period, the variation of riverine DOC concentration with discharge in the XJR differed from that reported in many other major rivers. The DOC export flux above the city of Wuzhou was about 0.62× 106 g C km-2 yr-1. The DOC transported during the '056' Massive Flood period comprised 30.35% of the annual total, while the discharge accounted for 36.32% of the total annual flow. | 2 | Porous fiber paper and 3D patterned electrodes composed high-sensitivity flexible piezoresistive sensor for physiological signal monitoring显示文摘The research on flexible pressure sensors has drawn widespread attention in recent years,especially in the fields of health care and intelligent robots.In practical applications,the sensitivity of sensors directly affects the precision and integrity of weak pressure signals.Here,a pressure sensor with high sensitivity and a wide measurement range composed of porous fiber paper and 3D patterned electrodes is proposed.Multi-walled carbon nanotubes with excellent conductivity were evenly sprayed on the fiber paper to form the natural spatial conducting networks,while the copper-deposited polydimethylsiloxane films with micropyramids array were used as electrodes and flexible substrates.Increased conducting paths between electrodes and fibers can be obtained when high-density micro-pyramids fall into the porous structures of the fiber paper under external pressure,thereby promoting the pressure sensor to show an ultra-high sensitivity of 17.65 kPa^(-1)in the pressure range of 0–2 kPa,16 times that of the device without patterned electrodes.Besides,the sensor retains a high sensitivity of 2.06 kPa^(-1)in an ultra-wide measurement range of 150 kPa.Moreover,the sensor can detect various physiological signals,including pulse and voice,while attached to the human skin.This work provides a novel strategy to significantly improve the sensitivity and measurement range of flexible pressure sensors,as well as demonstrates attractive applications in physiological signal monitoring. | HOU XiaoJuan ZHONG JiXin HE Jian YANG ChangJun YU JunBin MEI LinYu MU JiLiang GENG WenPing CHOU XiuJian | 2022 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,5: | 2 |
| 3 | A high-performance, single-electrode and stretchable piezotriboelectric hybrid patch for omnidirectional biomechanical energy harvesting and motion monitoring显示文摘Triboelectric nanogenerators(TENGs)have recently drawn much attention in the field of biomechanical energy harvesting and motion monitoring.However,the electrode stretchability and contact-separation model induced complicated packed structure remain a problem that heavily affects output performance during various human movements and requires to be urgently addressed.Here,a single-electrode piezotriboelectric hybrid nanogenerator(SEP-TENG)integrated with stretchable liquid-metal metal electrodes is reported,which simultaneously achieves outstanding energy harvesting performance and skincomfort human motion monitoring.A polarized piezoelectric BaTiO_(3)/silicon rubber(SR)composites film is served as the effective negative tribomaterial,benefiting from the improved dielectric constant and piezoelectric charge transfer,the optimized SEP-TENG generates a high peak power density of 5.7 W/m^(2) while contacted with human skin.Besides,owing to the ultralow Young's modulus of the SR encapsulation layer and tribo-piezoelectric hybrid layer,the homogeneous integrated multilayer composite serves no break till a 745%elongation,promoting that the SEP-TENG could effectively harvest biomechanical energy and realize stable power supplying for wearable electronics even under large deformation state.Furthermore,the SEP-TENG could comfortably attach to the finger joints and collect bending energy.This work provides a novel design methodology for a single-electrode TENG to realize omnidirectional biomechanical energy harvesting and motion monitoring. | Xiaojuan Hou Jixin Zhong Changjun Yang Yun Yang Jian He Jiliang Mu Wenping Geng Xiujian Chou | 2022 | Journal of Materiomics2022,8,5: | 1 |

| 9 | Worldwide impacts of atmospheric vapor pressure deficit on the interannual variability of terrestrial carbon sinks显示文摘Interannual variability of the terrestrial ecosystem carbon sink is substantially regulated by various environmental variables and highly dominates the interannual variation of atmospheric carbon dioxide(CO_(2))concentrations.Thus,it is necessary to determine dominating factors affecting the interannual variability of the carbon sink to improve our capability of predicting future terrestrial carbon sinks.Using global datasets derived from machine-learning methods and process-based ecosystem models,this study reveals that the inter annual variability of the atmospheric vapor pressure deficit(VPD)was significantly negatively correlated with net ecosystem production(NEP)and substantially impacted the inter annual variability of the atmospheric CO_(2)growth rate(CGR).Further analyses found widespread constraints of VPD interannual variability on terrestrial gross primary production(GPP),causing VPD to impact NEP and CGR.Partial correlation analysis confirms the persistent and widespread impacts of VPD on terrestrial carbon sinks compared to other environmental variables.Current Earth system models underestimate the interannual variability in VPD and its impacts on GPP and NEP.Our results highlight the importance of VPD for terrestrial carbon sinks in assessing ecosystems'responses to future climate conditions. | Bin He Chen Chen Shangrong Lin Wenping Yuan Hans WChen Deliang Chen Yafeng Zhang Lanlan Guo Xiang Zhao Xuebang Liu Shilong Piao Ziqian Zhong Rui Wang Rui Tang | 2022 | National Science Review2022,9,4: | 1 |

| 11 | Mitochondria-targeting NIR fluorescent probe for rapid,highly sensitive and selective visualization of nitroxyl in live cells,tissues and mice显示文摘Nitroxyl(HNO)has been reported to possess unique biological and pharmacological performances,and emerged as a novel therapy for congestive heart failure.Recent studies also suggest that HNO may be produced and involved in important metabolisms in mitochondria.However,due to its high reactivity and short life properties,fast,sensitive and selective observation and monitoring of HNO related dynamic changes in mitochondria still remains a great challenge.Herein,we synthesized a mitochondria-targeting near-infrared(NIR)fluorescent probe(DCMHNO)for rapid detection of HNO with remarkably high sensitivity,selectivity and photostability.DCMHNO shows fast response(about 4 min)towards HNO via 2-(diphenylphosphino)benzoyl group through the Staudinger reaction to boost the bright NIR emission(700 nm)with excellent sensitivity(detection limit of 13 nM),high p H stability and very low interference from other species.DCMHNO can selectively locate in mitochondria and visualize exogenous and endogenous HNO in live He La cells with high biocompatibility and photostability.The probe could also monitor the interaction between NO and H2 S that gives rise to the generation of HNO in live He La cells.In addition,DCMHNO was further utilized in ex vivo NIR imaging of HNO in live mouse liver tissues at the depth of about 50μm.In vivo imaging of HNO with high signal-to-noise ratio in live mice was also realized by using DCMHNO.These remarkable imaging performances could render NIR DCMNHNO as a useful tool to reveal HNO related dynamic changes in live samples. | Jianguo Wang Wenping Zhu Chunbin Li Pengfei Zhang Guoyu Jiang Guangle Niu Ben Zhong Tang | 2020 | Science China Chemistry2020,63,2: | 0 |
| 12 | Control Effects of Different Agents on Tobacco Mosaic Virus Disease显示文摘[Objectives] This study was conducted to screen out suitable agents for controlling tobacco mosaic virus disease and the best control period in Zhangzhou tobacco area, providing a theoretical basis for the control of virus diseases, thereby improving the quality of flue-cured tobacco and the income of tobacco farmers. [Methods] The effects on tobacco mosaic virus disease under the interaction between different agents and different application periods were investigated. The incidence of tobacco mosaic virus disease was investigated, and its control effect was analyzed. [Results] Different agents and different application periods had different control effects on tobacco mosaic virus disease. The incidence of tobacco mosaic virus disease: At 30 and 45 d after transplanting, the incidences of A2B1 treatment were the lowest, at 0.85%, 1.71%, respectively;and at 60 d after transplanting, the incidence of A3B1 treatment was the lowest, only 10.68%. The control effect: At 30 and 45 d after transplanting, A2B1 treatment had better control effects, reaching 79.39% and 73.06%, respectively. [Conclusions] 3% hypersensitive protein sprayed at 1 d before transplanting and 7 and 15 d after transplanting achieved the best effect, followed by 10% ningnanmycin sprayed at 1 d before transplanting and 7 and 15 d after transplanting.
