| 1 | An experimental study on stress-strain behavior and constitutive model of hardfill material显示文摘Hardfill is a new type of artificially cemented material for dam construction works,with a wide application prospect.Its mechanical behavior lies between concrete and rockfill materials.A series of large-scale triaxial tests are performed on hardfill specimens at different ages,and the stress-strain behavior of hardfill is further discussed.The strength and stress-strain relationship of hardfill materials show both frictional mechanism and cohesive mechanism.An age-related constitutive model of hardfill is developed,which is a parallel model consisting of two components,rockfill component and cementation component.Moreover,a comparison is made between the simulated and the experimental results,which shows that the parallel model can reflect the mechanical characteristics of both rockfill-like nonlinearity and concrete-like age relativity.In addition,a simplified method for the determination of parameters is proposed. | WU MengXi DU Bin YAO YuanCheng HE XianFeng | 2011 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2011,54,11: | 15 |
| 2 | Simulation procedure of unconfined seepage with an inner seepage face in a heterogeneous field显示文摘An inner seepage face phenomenon is given and a numerical simulation procedure has been developed.It may appear at the interface of two materials when an unconfined seepage flows from a porous media to a coarser porous media with a higher permeability.Inaccuracy and divergent problems may arise both in a saturated-only and in a variably saturated analysis while an inner seepage face is not simulated with a special procedure.The position of the seepage face is determined during the nonlinear iteration process and the flux of the inner seepage face nodes is transferred to the downstream side nodes.Validity and efficiency of the procedure are illustrated by the simulation of two dimensional steady state seepage examples of heterogeneous zoned dams which is usually used to validate algorithms.An analysis of a three-dimensional earth core rockfill dam is also presented here.The procedure can also be applied to general transient seepage problems. | WU MengXi YANG LianZhi YU Ting | 2013 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2013,56,6: | 7 |
| 3 | Rice productivity and profitability with slow-release urea containing organic-inorganic matrix materials显示文摘Applying slow-release fertilizers is possible means for reducing nitrogen(N) loss in rice production. Matrix-based fertilizers represent novel slow-release fertilizers. To date, there is little consensus about the effect of combined addition of organic and inorganic matrix materials on rice production. We developed a slow-release urea fertilizer with selected organic and inorganic matrix materials. The study aimed to: i) determine the effect of the slow-release urea on rice yield, profit, and agronomic efficiency and ii) elucidate its possible mechanisms. A two-year field experiment was conducted during 2015–2016. Besides,laboratory experiments were conducted to determine the potential N loss risk. Three treatments were set up: control without N application(CK), regular urea treatment(RU, 150 kg N ha^(-1)), and slow-release urea treatment(SU, 150 kg N ha^(-1)). The results showed that rice biomass and grain yield were significantly higher in SU than in RU(P < 0.05). The higher panicle density in SU was largely responsible for the greater grain yield. Net profit in SU was US$450 ha^(-1), higher than in RU. Agronomic efficiency was significantly greater in SU than in RU(P < 0.05). Rice height, root area, leaf chlorophyll, leaf nitrate reductase activity, and leaf glutamine synthetase activity were larger in SU than in RU. Less N loss and greater soil N availability were partly responsible for the improvements in rice growth traits and physiological parameters in SU. | 4 | Acoustofluidic separation enables early diagnosis of traumatic brain injury based on circulating exosomes显示文摘Traumatic brain injury(TBI)is a global cause of morbidity and mortality.Initial management and risk stratification of patients with TBI is made difficult by the relative insensitivity of screening radiographic studies as well as by the absence of a widely available,noninvasive diagnostic biomarker.In particular,a blood-based biomarker assay could provide a quick and minimally invasive process to stratify risk and guide early management strategies in patients with mild TBI(mTBI).Analysis of circulating exosomes allows the potential for rapid and specific identification of tissue injury.By applying acoustofluidic exosome separation—which uses a combination of microfluidics and acoustics to separate bioparticles based on differences in size and acoustic properties—we successfully isolated exosomes from plasma samples obtained from mice after TBI.Acoustofluidic isolation eliminated interference from other blood components,making it possible to detect exosomal biomarkers for TBI via flow cytometry.Flow cytometry analysis indicated that exosomal biomarkers for TBI increase in the first 24 h following head trauma,indicating the potential of using circulating exosomes for the rapid diagnosis of TBI.Elevated levels of TBI biomarkers were only detected in the samples separated via acoustofluidics;no changes were observed in the analysis of the raw plasma sample.This finding demonstrated the necessity of sample purification prior to exosomal biomarker analysis.Since acoustofluidic exosome separation can easily be integrated with downstream analysis methods,it shows great potential for improving early diagnosis and treatment decisions associated with TBI. | Zeyu Wang Haichen Wang Ryan Becker Joseph Rufo Shujie Yang Brian E.Mace Mengxi Wu Jun Zou Daniel T.Laskowitz Tony Jun Huang | 2021 | Microsystems & Nanoengineering2021,7,2: | 3 |

| 12 | Latitudinal and Seasonal Variations in Tropical Cyclone-Induced Ocean Surface Cooling in the Tropical Western North Pacific显示文摘The passage of tropical cyclones induces ocean surface cooling through vertical mixing,upwelling,and surface heat loss.The dependence of tropical cyclone-induced ocean surface cooling on the intensity and translation speed of tropical cyclones has been documented in previous studies.The present study investigates the latitudinal and seasonal variations in tropical cyclone-induced ocean surface cooling in the tropical western North Pacific based on data for the 2001–2020 period.Our analysis focuses on the open ocean(0°–25°N,130°E–180°)to reduce the interference of coastal topography so that the obtained results better represent the influences of the intensity and translation speed of tropical cyclones.Our analysis confirms the dependence on the intensity and translation speed of tropical cyclone-induced cooling.The new findings are as follows.First,the time to reach the maximum cooling increases with the magnitude of the maximum cooling.Second,the magnitude of ocean surface cooling increases with latitude in the tropical region for tropical cyclones with different intensities and translation speeds.Third,the ocean surface cooling is larger in summer and autumn than in spring for tropical cyclones with different intensities and translation speeds.Fourth,the dependence of ocean surface cooling on the translation speed is more obvious at higher latitudes in the tropics and less apparent in spring.These new findings add to the existing knowledge of the impacts of tropical cyclone intensity and translation speed on ocean surface cooling. | Mengxi JIN Ziyuan ZHAO Renguang WU Peijun ZHU | 2023 | Journal of Meteorological Research2023,37,6: | 0 |
| 13 | Sealing functional ionic liquids in conjugated microporous polymer membrane by solvent-assisted micropore tightening显示文摘Porous organic polymers hold great promise for molecular sieving membrane separation.Although the inclusion of functional ionic liquid(IL)in the pores offers a facile way to manipulate their separation properties,the IL leaching during the separation process is difficult to avoid.Herein,we report a strategy to in-situ encapsulate ILs into the micropores of the conjugated microporous polymer membrane via a 6-min electropolymerization and further seal the aperture of the pores to prevent ILs leaching by solvent-assisted micropore tightening(SAMT).Upon screening the binding energy between different ILs and gas molecules,two ILs were selected to be incorporated into the membrane for CO_(2)/CH_(4) and O_(2)/N_(2) gas separations.The resultant separation performances surpass the 2008 Robeson upper bound.Notably,the ILs can be locked in the micropores by a facile high surface tension solvent treatment process to improve their separation stability,as evidenced by a 7-day continuous test.This simple and controllable process not only enables efficient and steady separation performance but also provides an effective strategy for confining and sealing functional guest molecules in the porous solids for various applications. | Mengxi Zhang Anke Yu Xiangyu Wu Pengpeng Shao Xin Huang Dou Ma Xianghao Han Jing Xie Xiao Feng Bo Wang | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,3: | 0 |

| 18 | OGP: A Repository of Experimentally Characterized O-glycoproteins to Facilitate Studies on O-glycosylation显示文摘Numerous studies on cancers, biopharmaceuticals, and clinical trials have necessitated comprehensive and precise analysis of protein O-glycosylation. However, the lack of updated and convenient databases deters the storage of and reference to emerging O-glycoprotein data. To resolve this issue, an O-glycoprotein repository named OGP was established in this work.It was constructed with a collection of O-glycoprotein data from different sources. OGP contains 9354 O-glycosylation sites and 11,633 site-specific O-glycans mapping to 2133 O-glycoproteins, and it is the largest O-glycoprotein repository thus far.Based on the recorded O-glycosylation sites, an O-glycosylation site prediction tool was developed. Moreover, an OGP-based website is already available(http://gffzzefe90b8845f64b49hbpc6ofnp6ppn69uu.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/). The website comprises four specially designed and user-friendly modules:statistical analysis, database search, site prediction, and data submission. The first version of OGP repository and the website allow users to obtain various O-glycoprotein-related information, such as protein accession Nos., O-glycosylation sites,O-glycopeptide sequences, site-specific O-glycan structures, experimental methods, and potential O-glycosylation sites.O-glycosylation data mining can be performed efficiently on this website, which will greatly facilitate related studies.
