2Uplink Grant-Free Pattern Division Multiple Access (GF-PDMA) for 5G Radio Access显示文摘Massive machine type communication(m MTC) is one of the key application scenarios for the fifth generation mobile communication(5 G). Grant-free(GF) transmission can reduce the high signaling overhead in m MTC. Non-orthogonal multiple access(NMA) can support more users for m MTC than orthogonal frequency division multiple access(OFDMA). Applying GF transmission in NMA system becomes an active topic recently. The in-depth study on applying GF transmission in pattern division multiple access(PDMA), a competitive candidate scheme of NMA, is investigated in this paper. The definition, latency and allocation of resource and transmission mechanism for GF-PDMA are discussed in detail. The link-level and system-level evaluations are provided to verify the analysis. The analysis and simulation results demonstrate that the proposed GF-PDMA has lower latency than grant based PDMA(GB-PDMA), possesses strong scalability to confront collision and provides almost 2.15 times gain over GF-OFDMA in terms of supporting the number of active users in the system.Wanwei Tang Shaoli Kang Bin Ren Xinwei Yue 2018China Communications2018,15,4:10
3Edge biomarkers for classification and prediction of phenotypes显示文摘In general,a disease manifests not from malfunction of individual molecules but from failure of the relevant system or network,which can be considered as a set of interactions or edges among molecules.Thus,instead of individual molecules,networks or edges are stable forms to reliably characterize complex diseases.This paper reviews both traditional node biomarkers and edge biomarkers,which have been newly proposed.These biomarkers are classified in terms of their contained information.In particular,we show that edge and network biomarkers provide novel ways of stably and reliably diagnosing the disease state of a sample.First,we categorize the biomarkers based on the information used in the learning and prediction steps.We then briefly introduce conventional node biomarkers,or molecular biomarkers without network information,and their computational approaches.The main focus of this paper is edge and network biomarkers,which exploit network information to improve the accuracy of diagnosis and prognosis.Moreover,by extracting both network and dynamic information from the data,we can develop dynamical network and edge biomarkers.These biomarkers not only diagnose the immediate pre-disease state but also detect the critical molecules or networks by which the biological system progresses from the healthy to the disease state.The identified critical molecules can be used as drug targets,and the critical state indicates the critical point of disease control.The paper also discusses representative biomarker-based methods.ZENG Tao ZHANG WanWei YU XiangTian LIU XiaoPing LI MeiYi LIU Rui CHEN LuoNan 2014Science China(Life Sciences)2014,57,11:5
4Pattern Matrix Design of PDMA for 5G UL Applications显示文摘Pattern division multiple access(PDMA),which is a novel non-orthogonal multiple access(NOMA),has been proposed to address the challenges of massive connectivity and higher spectral efficiency for fifth generation(5G) mobile network.The performance of PDMA mainly depends on the design of PDMA pattern matrix.In this paper,pattern matrix design of PDMA for 5G uplink(UL) applications in massive machine type communication(mMTC) and enhanced mobile broadband(eMBB) deployment scenarios are studied.The design criteria and examples for application in UL mMTC and UL eMBB are investigated.The performance of the PDMA pattern matrix is analyzed with the discrete constellation constrained capacity(CC-Capacity),and verified by Monte Carlo simulation.The simulation results show that the preferred PDMA pattern matrix can achieve good performance with different overloading factors(OF).Bin Ren Yingmin Wang Xiaoming Dai Kai Niu Wanwei Tang 2016China Communications2016,13,S2:3
5Salivary microbiota may predict the presence of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘The aim is to explore the predictive value of salivary bacteria for the presence of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). Saliva samples were obtained from 178 patients with ESCC and 101 healthy controls, and allocated to screening and verification cohorts, respectively. In the screening phase, after saliva DNA was extracted, 16S rRNA V4 regions of salivary bacteria were amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) with high-throughput sequencing. Highly expressed target bacteria were screened by Operational Taxonomic Units clustering, species annotation and microbial diversity assessment. In the verification phase, the expression levels of target bacteria identified in the screening phase were verified by absolute quantitative PCR (Q-PCR). Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were plotted to investigate the predictive value of target salivary bacteria. LEfSe analysis revealed higher proportions of Fusobacterium, Streptococcus and Porphyromonas, and Q-PCR assay showed significantly higher numbers of Streptococcus salivarius, Fusobacterium nucleatum and Porphyromonas gingivalis in patients with ESCC, when compared with healthy controls (all P < 0.05). The areas under the ROC curves for Streptococcus salivarius, Fusobacterium nucleatum, Porphyromonas gingivalis and the combination of the three bacteria for predicting patients with ESCC were 69%, 56.5%, 61.8% and 76.4%, respectively. The sensitivities corresponding to cutoff value were 69.3%, 22.7%, 35.2% and 86.4%, respectively, and the matched specificity were 78.4%, 96.1%, 90.2% and 58.8%, respectively. 6CPT1C-mediated fatty acid oxidation facilitates colorectal cancer cell proliferation and metastasis显示文摘Fatty acid oxidation(FAO)has been proven to be an accomplice in tumor progression.Carnitine palmitoyltransferase 1C(CPT1C),a rate-limiting enzyme in FAO,mainly functions to catalyze fatty acid carnitinylation and guarantee subsequent entry into the mitochondria for FAO in colorectal cancer(CRC).Gene expression data and clinical information extracted from The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)database show significantly higher expression of CPT1C in patients with metastatic CRC(P=0.005).Moreover,overexpression of CPT1C is correlated with worse relapse-free survival in CRC(HR 2.1,P=0.0006),while no statistical significance is indicated for CPT1A and CPT1B.Further experiments demonstrate that downregulation of CPT1C expression leads to a decrease in the FAO rate,suppression of cell proliferation,cell cycle arrest and repression of cell migration in CRC,whereas opposite results are obtained when CPT1C is overexpressed.Furthermore,an FAO inhibitor almost completely reverses the enhanced cell proliferation and migration induced by CPT1C overexpression.In addition,analysis of TCGA data illustrates a positive association between CPT1C expression and HIF1αlevel,suggesting that CPT1C is a transcriptional target of HIF1α.In conclusion,CPT1C overexpression indicates poor relapse-free survival of patients with CRC,and CPT1C is transcriptionally activated by HIF1α,thereby promoting the proliferation and migration of CRC cells.Jing Li Wanwei Zheng Jie Wu Jun Zhang Bin Lv Wenshuai Li Jie Liu Xin Zhang Tiansheng Huang Zhongguang Luo 2023Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2023,55,8:1

With rot index,weight loss rate,browning degree( BD),total soluble solids( TSS) content,malondialdehyde( MDA) content,polyphenol oxidase( PPO) activity and peroxidase( POD) activity,DPPH· scavenging rate as evaluation indexes,the preservation effect of the prepared freshkeeping agents on D. alata during the cold storage period was analyzed. The results showed that prochloraz added with nano-titanium dioxide significantly prolonged the storage life,reduced the rot rate and weight loss rate,and slowed the loss of pulp of D. alata. 16DOCK2 regulates antifungal immunity by regulating RAC GTPase activity显示文摘Fungal infections cause~1.5 million deaths each year worldwide,and the mortality rate of disseminated candidiasis currently exceeds that of breast cancer and malaria.The major reasons for the high mortality of candidiasis are the limited number of antifungal drugs and the emergence of drug-resistant species.Therefore,a better understanding of antifungal host defense mechanisms is crucial for the development of effective preventive and therapeutic strategies.Here,we report that DOCK2(dedicator of cytokinesis 2)promotes indispensable antifungal innate immune signaling and proinflammatory gene expression in macrophages.DOCK2-deficient macrophages exhibit decreased RAC GTPase(Rac family small GTPase)activation and ROS(reactive oxygen species)production,which in turn attenuates the killing of intracellular fungi and the activation of downstream signaling pathways.Mechanistically,after fungal stimulation,activated SYK(spleen-associated tyrosine kinase)phosphorylates DOCK2 at tyrosine 985 and 1405,which promotes the recruitment and activation of RAC GTPases and then increases ROS production and downstream signaling activation.Importantly,nanoparticle-mediated delivery of in vitro transcribed(IVT)Rac1 mRNA promotes the activity of Rac1 and helps to eliminate fungal infection in vivo.Taken together,this study not only identifies a critical role of DOCK2 in antifungal immunity via regulation of RAC GTPase activity but also provides proof of concept for the treatment of invasive fungal infections by using IVT mRNA.Xiaojian Ma Xi Tan Bingbing Yu Wanwei Sun Heping Wang Huijun Hu Yanyun Du Ruirui He Ru Gao Qianwen Peng Zhihui Cui Ting Pan Xiong Feng Junhan Wang Chengqi Xu Bin Zhu Wei Liu Chenhui Wang 2022Cellular & Molecular Immunology2022,19,5:1

19On the complexity of ω-pushdown automata显示文摘Finite automata over infinite words(called ω-automata) play an important role in the automatatheoretic approach to system verification. Different types of ω-automata differ in their succinctness and complexity of their emptiness problems, as a result, theory of ω-automata has received considerable research attention.Pushdown automata over infinite words(called ω-PDAs), a generalization of ω-automata, are a natural model of recursive programs. Our goal in this paper is to conduct a relatively complete investigation on the complexity of the emptiness problems for variants of ω-PDAs. For this purpose, we consider ω-PDAs of five standard acceptance types: B¨uchi, Parity, Rabin, Streett and Muller acceptances. Based on the transformation for ω-automata and the efficient algorithm proposed by Esparza et al. in CAV'00 for verifying the emptiness problem of ω-PDAs with B¨uchi acceptance, it is trivial to check the emptiness problem of other ω-PDAs. However, this naive approach is not optimal. In this paper, we propose novel algorithms for the emptiness problem of ω-PDAs based on the observations of the structure of accepting runs. Our algorithms outperform algorithms that go through B¨uchi PDAs. In particular, the space complexity of the algorithm for Streett acceptance that goes through B¨uchi acceptance is exponential, while ours is polynomial. The algorithm for Parity acceptance that goes through B¨uchi acceptance is in O(k3n2m) time and O(k2nm) space, while ours is in O(kn2m) time and O(nm) space, where n(resp. m and k) is the number of control states(resp. transitions and index). 20Probabilistic synthesis against GR(1) winning condition显示文摘Reactive synthesis is a technique for automatic generation of a reactive system from a high level specification.The system is reactive in the sense that it reacts to the inputs from the environment.The specification is in general given as a linear temporal logic(LTL)formula.The behaviour of the system interacting with the environment can be represented as a game in which the system plays against the environment.Thus,a problem of reactive synthesis is commonly treated as solving such a game with the specification as the winning condition.Reactive synthesis has been thoroughly investigated for more two decades.A well-known challenge is to deal with the complex uncertainty of the environment.We understand that a major issue is due to the lack of a sufficient treatment of probabilistic properties in the traditional models.For example,a two-player game defined by a standard Kriple structure does not consider probabilistic transitions in reaction to the uncertain physical environment;and a Markov Decision Process(MDP)in general does not explicitly separate the system from its environment and it does not describe the interaction between system and the environment.In this paper,we propose a new and more general model which combines the two-player game and the MDP.Furthermore,we study probabilistic reactive synthesis for the games of General Reactivity of Rank 1(i.e.,GR(1))defined in this model.More specifically,we present an algorithm,which for given model,a location and a GR(1)specification,determines the strategy for each player how to maximize/minimize the probabilities of the satisfaction of at location.We use an example to describe the model of probabilistic games and demonstrate our algorithm.Wei ZHAO Rui LI Wanwei LIU Wei DONG Zhiming LIU 2022Frontiers of Computer Science2022,16,2:0
