1A Simple Deep Learning Network for Classification of 3D Mobile LiDAR Point Clouds显示文摘Automatic and accurate classification is a fundamental problem to the analysis and modeling of LiDAR(Light Detection and Ranging)data.Recently,convolutional neural network(ConvNet or CNN)has achieved remarkable performance in image recognition and computer vision.While significant efforts have also been made to develop various deep networks for satellite image scene classification,it still needs to further investigate suitable deep learning network frameworks for 3D dense mobile laser scanning(MLS)data.In this paper,we present a simple deep CNN for multiple object classification based on multi-scale context representation.For the pointwise classification,we first extracted the neighboring points within spatial context and transformed them into a three-channel image for each point.Then,the classification task can be treated as the image recognition using CNN.The proposed CNN architecture adopted common convolution,maximum pooling and rectified linear unit(ReLU)layers,which combined multiple deeper network layers.After being trained and tested on approximately seven million labeled MLS points,the deep CNN model can classify accurately into nine classes.Comparing with the widely used ResNet algorithm,this model performs better precision and recall rates,and less processing time,which indicated the significant potential of deep-learning-based methods in MLS data classification.Yanjun WANG Shaochun LI Mengjie WANG Yunhao LIN 2021Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science2021,4,3:8
2Effects of key design parameters of tine furrow opener on soil seedbed properties显示文摘The structural parameters of tine furrow openers have significant effects on soil property of seed furrow in no-till planting,thereby affecting crop growth and yields.In order to analyze the effects of key parameters of tine furrow openers on soil properties(soil bulk density,soil water-stable aggregates(WSA),and soil disturbance)of the surface soil layer of 0-10 cm and surface straw disturbance,the tine furrow openers with different structural parameters,including cutting edge thickness,cutting edge curve,penetration clearance angle and rake angle,were designed and tested under no-till conditions.Orthogonal test and single factor test were performed to analyze the effects of different parameters.Results showed that the rake angle,cutting edge thickness and cutting edge curve had significant effects on cross-sectional area of furrow(Af)and disturbance of surface straw;the rake angle had a significant effect on soil bulk density.Soil types and operating depth had significant effects on soil disturbance caused by tine furrow openers.The concave type tine furrow opener produced the lowest soil disturbance and soil bulk density of seed furrow,the highest surface straw disturbance and the greatest content of WSA(>0.5 mm).With increasing rake angles of tine furrow opener,the width of seedbed(Wsb)and the Af decreased first and then increased,respectively,while the width of soil throw(Wst)and the height of ridge(Hr)increased.The Wsb and Af created by tine furrow opener with 60°rake angle were significantly lower than that with others,respectively.The tine furrow opener with rake angle ranged from 45°to 60°created the lowest soil bulk density.As the penetration clearance angle increased,the content of WSA(>0.5 mm)decreased,but the effect of penetration clearance angle on the content of WSA(<0.5 mm)was not significant.The cutting edge thickness(<2 mm)had no significant effects on soil properties of seedbed.This study could provide a reference for optimal design of the tine furrow opener to create more suitable seedbed environment,and promote the application of the light no-till planters.Zhang Xiangcai Li Hongwen Du Ruicheng Ma Shaochun He Jin Wang Qingjie Chen Wanzhi Zheng Zhiqi Zhang Zhiqiang 2016International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,3:7

4The influence of hand hole on the ultimate strength and crack pattern of shield tunnel segment joints by scaled model test显示文摘With the shield tunnel going deeper and deeper, the circumferential axial force becomes the governing factor rather than the bending moment. The hand hole acts as a weak point and initial damage in the segment joint especially when the circumferential axial force is extremely high. Despite the wide application of steel fiber or synthetic fiber in t|ie tunneling, limited researches focus on the structural responses of segment joint with macro structural synthetic fiber (MSSF). In this paper, a 1:2 reduced-scale experiment was conducted to study the structural perfonnance of the segment joint with different types of hand holes under ultra-high axial force. Special attention is paid to failure mode and structural performance (bearing capacity, deformation, cracking, and toughness). Moreover, segment joints with MSSF are also tested to evaluate the effects of MSSF on the failure mode and structural performance of the segment joints. The experiment results show that the hand hole becomes the weakest point of the segment joint under ultra-high axial force. A\/-type crack pattern is always observed before the final failure of the segment joints. Different types and sizes of the hand hole have different degree of influences on the structural behavior of segment joints. The segment joint with MSSF shows higher ultimate bearing capacity and toughness compared to segment joint with common concrete. 5Improvement of Boxcar Integrator and Its Application to Low Resistance Measurement of Inductive Load Coil显示文摘A boxcar integrator is described which is suitable for the low-repetition-rate signal processing. This boxcar integrator, named fixed-interval mode boxcar integrator, is able to reject harmonics other than the first harmonic component. It can also decrease the effective time constant In many situations, the antialiasing filter with narrow bandwidth will cause distortion of the input signal. The fixed-interval mode boxcar integrator with suitable gate width can achieve relative high performance without signal distortion because the bandwidth of its antialiasing filter can be wider than that in the fixed-Point boxcar integrator. ms boxcar integrator is used as majn part of signalprocessing circult in the low resisance measurement of inductive load coil. 8Field test and evaluation on crop dividers of sugarcane chopper harvester显示文摘In South China,the tropical weather and climate result in severe sugarcane lodging problems which greatly hinders sugarcane mechanical harvesting.The main function of the crop divider is to lift lodged canes and facilitate base-cut cane feeding.In this study,a series of field tests were conducted on crop dividers of Liugong 4GQ-180 sugarcane chopper harvester.The tests were designed to identify the relationships of the performance index(maximum lifting height of sugarcane)and the main influencing factors(machine forward speed,rotational speed of inside scrolls,and ground clearance of crop divider toes).The single factor test was conducted to determine optimum range of these test factors:the forward speed(FS)was 2.0-4.0 km/h,the rotational speed of inside scrolls(RS)was 100-140 r/min,and the toe ground clearance(GC)was 0-5 cm.The orthogonal test(three factors and three levels)was carried out to determine the optimal combination of operating parameters:FS was 2.0 km/h,RS was 115 r/min,and GC was 0 cm.In addition,the range analysis of orthogonal test results revealed that the order of each test factor affecting crop divider performance was RS,FS,GC.This study was expected to provide valuable references for the optimal operation of sugarcane harvester crop dividers.Jing Bai Shaochun Ma Fenglei Wang Haonan Xing Jinzhi Ma Jiwei Hu 2021International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2021,14,1:1

12Gastrodin modified polyurethane conduit promotes nerve repair via optimizing Schwann cells function显示文摘Peripheral nerve regeneration and functional recovery remain a major clinical challenge.Nerve guidance conduit(NGC)that can regulate biological behavior of Schwann cells(SCs)and facilitate axonal regeneration through microenvironmental remodeling is beneficial for nerve regeneration and functional recovery.Gastrodin,a main constituent of a Chinese traditional herbal medicine,has been known to display several biological and pharmacological properties,especially antioxidative,anti-inflammatory and nerve regeneration.Herein,polyurethane(PU)NGCs modified by different weight ratio of Gastrodin(0,1 and 5 wt%)were designed for sequential and sustainable drug release,that created a favorable microenvironment for nerve regeneration.The scaffold showed suitable pore structure and biocompatibility in vitro,and evidently promoted morphological and functional recovery of regenerated sciatic nerves in vivo.Compared to the PU and 1% Gastrodin/PU scaffolds,the 5% Gastrodin/PU significantly enhanced the proliferation,migration and myelination of SCs and up-regulated expression of neurotrophic factors,as well as induction of the differentiation of PC12 cells.Interestingly,the obvious anti-inflammatory response was observed in 5% Gastrodin/PU by reduced expression of TNF-α and iNOS,which also evidenced by the few fibrous capsule formation in the subcutaneous implantation.Such a construct presented a similarity to autograft in vivo repairing a 10 mm sciatic nerve defects.It was able to not only boost the regenerated area of nerve and microvascular network,but also facilitate functional axons growth and remyelination,leading to highly improved functional restoration.These findings demonstrate that the 5% Gastrodin/PU NGC efficiently promotes nerve regeneration,indicating their potential for use in peripheral nerve regeneration applications.Hongcai Yang Qing Li Limei Li Shaochun Chen Yu Zhao Yingrui Hu Lu wang Xiaoqian Lan Lianmei Zhong Di Lu 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,2:1
13Turning ZrTe_5 into a semiconductor through atom intercalation显示文摘In this study we successfully intercalated potassium(K) atoms into single ZrTe_5 crystals by liquid ammonia method, and found a semimetal-to-semiconductor transition at low temperatures in K-intercalated ZrTe_5. As the K concentration increased, the resistance anomalous peak was gradually suppressed until finally disappearing. Whilst, the corresponding Hall resistance measurements consistently showed a sign reversal. 14DeceFL:a principled fully decentralized federated learning framework显示文摘Traditional machine learning relies on a centralized data pipeline for model training in various applications;however,data are inherently fragmented.Such a decentralized nature of databases presents the serious challenge for collaboration:sending all decentralized datasets to a central server raises serious privacy concerns.Although there has been a joint effort in tackling such a critical issue by proposing privacy-preserving machine learning frameworks,such as federated learning,most state-of-the-art frameworks are built still in a centralized way,in which a central client is needed for collecting and distributing model information(instead of data itself)from every other client,leading to high communication burden and high vulnerability when there exists a failure at or an attack on the central client.Here we propose a principled decentralized federated learning algorithm(DeceFL),which does not require a central client and relies only on local information transmission between clients and their neighbors,representing a fully decentralized learning framework.It has been further proven that every client reaches the global minimum with zero performance gap and achieves the same convergence rate O(1=T)(where T is the number of iterations in gradient descent)as centralized federated learning when the loss function is smooth and strongly convex.Finally,the proposed algorithm has been applied to a number of applications to illustrate its effectiveness for both convex and nonconvex loss functions,time-invariant and time-varying topologies,as well as IID and Non-IID of datasets,demonstrating its applicability to a wide range of real-world medical and industrial applications.Ye Yuan Jun Liu Dou Jin Zuogong Yue Tao Yang Ruijuan Chen Maolin Wang Chuan Sun Lei Xu Feng Hua Yuqi Guo Xiuchuan Tang Xin He Xinlei Yi Dong Li Guanghui Wen Wenwu Yu Hai-Tao Zhang Tianyou Chai Shaochun Sui Han Ding 2023National Science Open2023,2,1:1
15Concentration-dependent Morphology Control of Pt-coated-Ag Nanowires and Effects of Bimetallic Interfaces on Catalytic Activity显示文摘Silver nanowires(NWs) coated with platinum(Pt) nanoparticles were synthesized via a galvanic partial replacement of Ag NWs in an aqueous K_2PtCl_6 solution at room temperature. The products were characterized using a combination of electron microscopies,selected area electron diffraction,energydispersive X-ray mapping and X-ray diffraction. The surface morphology and Pt/Ag composition ratios are controlled by adjusting the K_2PtCl_6 concentration. Different concentrations result in various surface morphologies including rough nanoparticle coating,porous and relatively smooth surfaces. The formation mechanism was discussed based on the lattice constants' difference,concentration driven nucleation,consumption of Ag NWs,and stoichiometry of the replacement reaction. The effects of the bimetallic interface on the catalytic activity toward the reduction of 4-nitrophenol by sodium borohydride were studied. 17Non-destructive Testing Method for Crack Based on Diamond Nitrogen-vacancy Color Center显示文摘Magnetic field measurement plays an extremely important role in material science,electronic en-gineering,power system and even industrial fields.In particular,magnetic field measurement provides a safe and reliable tool for industrial non-destructive testing.The sensitivity of magnetic field measurement deter-mines the highest level of detection.The diamond nitrogen-vacancy(NV)color center is a new type of quan-tum sensor developed in recent years.The external magnetic field will cause Zeeman splitting of the ground state energy level of the diamond NV color center.Optical detection magnetic resonance(ODMR),using a mi-crowave source and a lock-in amplifier to detect the resonant frequency of the NV color center,and finally the change of the resonant frequency can accurately calculate the size of the external magnetic field and the sensi-tivity of the external magnetic field change.In the experiment,a diamond containing a high concentration of NV color centers is coupled with an optical fiber to realize the preparation of a magnetic field scanning probe.Then,the surface cracks of the magnetized iron plate weld are scanned,and the scanning results are drawn into a two-dimensional magnetic force distribution map,according to the magnetic field gradient change of the magnetic force distribution map,the position and size of the crack can be judged very accurately,which pro-vides a very effective diagnostic tool for industrial safety.ZHAO Long WANG Xin ZHAO Bowen WU Guiyuan LUO Dacheng ZHANG Shaochun 2022Instrumentation2022,9,1:0
18Functional requirement of terminal inverted repeats for efficient ProtoRAG activity reveals the early evolution of V(D)J recombination显示文摘The discovery of ProtoRAG in amphioxus indicated that vertebrate RAG recombinases originated from an ancient transposon. However, the sequences of ProtoRAG terminal inverted repeats(TIRs) were obviously dissimilar to the consensus sequence of mouse 12/23 RSS and recombination mediated by Proto RAG or RAG made them incompatible with each other. Thus, it is difficult to determine whether or how 12/23 RSS persisted in the vertebrate RAG system that evolved from the TIRs of ancient RAG transposons. Here, we found that the activity of ProtoRAG is highly dependent on its asymmetric 5 TIR and 3 TIR, which are composed of conserved TR1 and TR5 elements and a partially conserved TRsp element of 27/31 bp to separate them. Similar to the requirements for the recombination signal sequences(RSSs) of RAG recombinase, the first CAC in TR1, the three dinucleotides in TR5 and the specific length of the partially conserved TRsp are important for the efficient recombination activity of ProtoRAG. In addition, the homologous sequences flanking the signal sequences facilitate Proto RAG-but not RAG-mediated recombination. In addition to the diverged TIRs, two differentiated functional domains in Bb RAG1 L were defined to coordinate with the divergence between TIRs and RSSs. One of these is the CTT^*domain, which facilitates the specific TIR recognition of the Bb RAGL complex, and the other is NBD^*, which is responsible for DNA binding and the protein stabilization of the Bb RAGL complex. 19Joint system consumption minimization and workload allocation in edge-core network显示文摘The explosive increase of smart devices and mobile traffic results in heavy burden on backhaul and core network,intolerable network latency and degraded service to the end-users. As a complement to core network,edge network contributes to relieving network burden and improving user experience. To investigate the problem of optimizing the total consumption in an edge-core network, the system consumption minimization problem is fromulated,considering the energy consumption and delay. Given that the formulated problem is a mixed nonlinear integer programming( MNIP),a low-complexity workload allocation algorithm is proposed based on interior-point method.The proposed algorithm has an extremely short running time in practice. 20A comprehensive construction of the domain ontology for stratigraphy显示文摘Stratigraphic knowledge,the cornerstone of geoscience,needs to be represented by the Knowledge Graph based upon ontology,in order to apply the state-of-the-art big-data techniques.This study aims to comprehensively construct the ontologies for the stratigraphic domain.This has been achieved by a federated,crowd intelligence-based collaboration among domain experts of major stratigraphic subdisciplines.The initial step is to enumerate key terms from authoritative references and incorporate them into the Geoscience Professional Knowledge Graphs(GPKGs)of Deep-time Digital Earth Project.During this process,semantic heterogeneities were meticulously addressed by professional judgement aided by an automatic detection of Homonyms at the GPKGs platform.Afterwards,these terms were further differentiated as either classes or properties and arranged in a hierarchical framework in a top-down process.Consequently,seven ontologies are constructed for major stratigraphic branches,i.e.,Lithostratigraphy,Biostratigraphy,Chronostratigraphy,Chemostratigraphy,Magnetostratigraphy,Cyclostratigraphy and Sequence Stratigraphy.The ontology of Biostratigraphy,among them,is elaborated here,as no biostratigraphic ontology has been attempted before to our knowledge.The constructed biostratigraphic ontology comprises following major root classes:Fossil,Biostratigraphic unit,Biostratigraphic horizon.Altogether,they contribute to the eventual dating and correlating of strata in another root class:Biostratigraphic correlation.In summary,the achievements of this study are probably heretofore the most comprehensive ontologies for the stratigraphic domain.Moreover,a proto model of semantic search engine was conceived to discuss potential application of our work for better querying stratigraphic references,utilizing the semantic liaison of the classes in the constructed ontologies.Huiqing Xu Yingying Zhao Hao Huang Shaochun Dong Yukun Shi Chunju Huang Huaichun Wu Zhiqi Qian Qiang Fang Huaguo Wen Zhongtang Su Shuang Dai Ronghua Wang Chao Li Chao Sun Junxuan Fan 2023Geoscience Frontiers2023,14,5:0
