| 1 | Effects of different forms of yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae on growth performance,intestinal development,and systemic immunity in early-weaned piglets显示文摘The present study was conducted to determine effects of different forms of yeast(Saccharomyces cerevisiae,strain Y200007) on the growth performance,intestinal development,and systemic immunity in early-weaned piglets.A total of 96 piglets(14-d old,initial average body weight of 4.5 kg) were assigned to 4 dietary treatments:(1) basal diet without yeast(Control);(2) basal diet supplemented with 3.00 g/kg live yeast(LY);(3) basal diet supplemented with 2.66 g/kg heat-killed whole yeast(HKY);and(4) basal diet supplemented with 3.00 g/kg superfine yeast powders(SFY).Diets and water were provided ad libitum to the piglets during 3-week experiment.Growth performance of piglets was measured weekly.Samples of blood and small intestine were collected at days 7 and 21 of experiment.Dietary supplementation with LY and SFY improved G:F of piglets at days 1-21 of the experiment(P<0.05) compared to Control group.Serum concentrations of growth hormone(GH),triiodothyronine(T_3),tetraiodothyronine(T_4),and insulin growth factor 1(IGF-1) in piglets at day 21 of the experiment were higher when fed diets supplemented with LY and SFY than those in Control group(P < 0.05).Compared to Control group,contents of serum urea nitrogen of piglets were reduced by the 3 yeast-supplemented diets(P< 0.05).Diets supplemented with LY increased villus height and villus-to-crypt ratio in duodenum and jejunum of piglets(P < 0.05) compared to other two groups at day 7 of the experiment.Feeding diets supplemented with LY and SFY increased(P< 0.05) serum concentrations of IgA,IL-2,and IL-6 levels in piglets compared to Control.The CD4^+/CD8^+ ratio and proliferation of T-lymphocytes in piglets fed diets supplemented with LY were increased compared to that of Control group at day 7 of the experiment(P < 0.05).In conclusion,dietary supplementation with both LY and SFY enhanced feed conversion,small intestinal development,and systemic immunity in early-weaned piglets,with better improvement in feed conversion by dietary supplementation with LY,while dietary supplementation with SFY was more effective in increasing systemic immune functions in early-weaned piglets. | Zongyong Jiang Shaoyong Wei Zhilin Wang Cui Zhu Shenglan Hu Chuntian Zheng Zhuang Chen Youjun Hu Li Wang Xianyong Ma Xuefen Yang | 2016 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2016,7,1: | 13 |
| 2 | Multi-label dimensionality reduction and classification with extreme learning machines显示文摘In the need of some real applications, such as text categorization and image classification, the multi-label learning gradually becomes a hot research point in recent years. Much attention has been paid to the research of multi-label classification algorithms. Considering the fact that the high dimensionality of the multi-label datasets may cause the curse of dimensionality and will hamper the classification process, a dimensionality reduction algorithm, named multi-label kernel discriminant analysis(MLKDA), is proposed to reduce the dimensionality of multi-label datasets. MLKDA, with the kernel trick, processes the multi-label integrally and realizes the nonlinear dimensionality reduction with the idea similar with linear discriminant analysis(LDA). In the classification process of multi-label data, the extreme learning machine(ELM) is an efficient algorithm in the premise of good accuracy. MLKDA, combined with ELM, shows a good performance in multi-label learning experiments with several datasets. | 3 | The impact of the new cooperative medical scheme on financial burden of tuberculosis patients: evidence from six counties in China显示文摘Background:Tuberculosis(TB)patients in China encounter heavy financial burdens throughout the course of their treatment and it is unclear how China’s health insurance systems affect the alleviation of this burden under the integrated approach.This study aimed to measure reimbursement for TB services under the New Cooperative Medical Scheme(NCMS)in rural China and to evaluate changes in catastrophic health expenditure(CHE)caused by the reimbursement policies.Methods:Reimbursement data were obtained from routine data systems for the NCMS in Yichang(YC)and Hanzhong(HZ).1884 TB inpatients reimbursed by NCMS from 2010 to 2012 were included.Household surveys were conducted.A total of 494 TB patients under the NCMS were selected in this paper.12 Focus Group Discussions(FGDs)were held.We measured the impact of the NCMS by counterfactual analysis,which analyzed the financial burden alleviation.Equity was assessed by Concentration Index(CI),and disaggregated by project sites.Results:TB inpatients were reimbursed with an effective reimbursement rate of 57.3%.Average out-of-pocket(OOP)payments for outpatient and inpatient services after diagnosis were 1413 yuan and 430 yuan,and 3572 yuan and 3013 yuan in YC and HZ,respectively.The reimbursement level for TB outpatient care after diagnosis was very low due to a limited outpatient quota.TB patients in HZ incurred higher effective reimbursement rates,but the incidence of CHE remained higher.The reduction of CHE incidence after the NCMS showed no difference statistically(P>0.05).The severity of CHE was alleviated slightly.CIs after reimbursement were all below zero and their absolute values were higher than those before reimbursement.Conclusions:Low reimbursement for TB patients could lead to heavy financial burden.Poor TB patients incurred high rates of CHE.The NCMS was found to be a protective factor for CHE,but the impact was modest and the equity of CHE did not improve.The NCMS reimbursement policies should be improved in the future to include a more comprehensive coverage of care.Supplemental programs may be necessary to expand coverage for TB care. | Li Xiang Yao Pan Shuangyi Hou Hongwei Zhang Kaori DSato Qiang Li Jing Wang Shenglan Tang | 2016 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2016,5,1: | 9 |
| 4 | Product market competition,ultimate controlling structure and related party transactions显示文摘Previous studies have shown that product market competition has an important effect on corporate strategies and internal governance mechanisms. Using a sample of China's listed firms from 2004 to 2009, we explore the relationship between product market competition and normal related party transactions and find a significant positive relationship. In addition, we investigate the substitutive effect of product market competition and the cash flow rights owned by ultimate controlling shareholders on the extent of normal related party transactions. This review discusses plant responses to far-red light from the phenotypic to the molecular level, focusing specifically on the improvement of photosynthetic capacity by adjustment of photosynthetic electron transport and the path of light energy. Far-red light can also regulate leaf angle and increase plant height and leaf area, via expression of associated genes, to capture more light energy.Thus, far-red light regulates plant morphology and photosynthetic capacity. | 7 | FeCo alloy catalysts promoting polysulfide conversion for advanced lithium-sulfur batteries显示文摘Lithium sulfur batteries(LSBs)draw extensive interest because of the ultra-high capacity and low material cost.However,the sluggish lithium polysulfides(LIPSs)conversion processes are detrimental to cycle stability and rate capability,inhibiting the commercial application of LSBs.Here we present the well-designed Fe Co alloy catalysts anchored on porous carbon(FeCo-C)as sulfur host to improve the electrochemical performance by accelerating the conversion reactions.The FeCo alloy demonstrates high catalytic effect and strong adsorption capability of LIPSs,in which potential polarization can be greatly decreased and'shuttle effects'can be largely avoided.As a result,the obtained S/Fe Co-C composites show an initial specific capacity of 791.9 m Ah g^-1 at a large current density of 2 C and maintain 502.5 mAh g^-1 even after 500 cycles.Moreover,720 m Ah g^-1(corresponding to 70%retention)can be achieved after 100 cycles at 0.2 C with a high sulfur content of 80 wt%,enabling high sulfur utilization.This work not only provides a new insight to investigate the conversion kinetics of Li PSs,but also opens up a new avenue for advanced lithium sulfur batteries. | Hongyi Li Linfeng Fei Rong Zhang Shenglan Yu Yongyi Zhang Longlong Shu Yong Li Yu Wang | 2020 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,10: | 3 |

| 9 | Activation of transmembrane receptor tyrosine kinase DDR1-STAT3 cascade by extracellular matrix remodeling promotes liver metastatic colonization in uveal melanoma显示文摘Colonization is believed a rate-limiting step of metastasis cascade.However,its underlying mechanism is not well understood.Uveal melanoma(UM),which is featured with single organ liver metastasis,may provide a simplified model for realizing the complicated colonization process.Because DDR1 was identified to be overexpressed in UM cell lines and specimens,and abundant pathological deposition of extracellular matrix collagen,a type of DDR1 ligand,was noted in the microenvironment of liver in metastatic patients with UM,we postulated the hypothesis that DDR1 and its ligand might ignite the interaction between UM cells and their surrounding niche of liver thereby conferring strengthened survival,proliferation,sternness and eventually promoting metastatic colonization in liver.We tested this hypothesis and found that DDR1 promoted these malignant cellular phenotypes and facilitated metastatic colonization of UM in liver.Mechanistically,UM cells secreted TGF-β1 which induced quiescent hepatic stellate cells(qHSCs)into activated HSCs(aHSCs)which secreted collagen type I.Such a remodeling of extracellular matrix,in turn,activated DDR1,strengthening survival through upregulating STAT3-dependent Mcl-1 expression,enhancing sternness via upregulating STAT3-dependent S0X2,and promoting clonogenicity in cancer cells.Targeting DDR1 by using 7rh,a specific inhibitor,repressed proliferation and survival in vitro and in vivo outgrowth.More importantly,targeting cancer cells by pharmacological inactivation of DDR1 or targeting microenvironmental TGF-β1-collagen I loop exhibited a prominent anti-metastasis effect in mice.In conclusion,targeting DDR1 signaling and TGF-β1 signaling may be a novel approach to diminish hepatic metastasis in UM. | Wei Dai Shenglan Liu Shubo Wang Li Zhao Xiao Yang Jingfeng Zhou Yun Wang Jing Zhang Ping Zhang Ke Ding Yangqiu Li Jingxuan Pan | 2021 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,6: | 3 |

| 12 | Impact of immunization programs on 11 childhood vaccine-preventable diseases in China: 1950–2018显示文摘To evaluate the achievements of China’s immunization program between 1950 and 2018,we chose 11 vaccine-preventable diseases(VPDs)as representative notifiable diseases and used annual surveillance data obtained between 1950 and 2018 to derive disease incidence and mortality trends.Quasi-Poisson and polynomial regression models were used to estimate the impacts of specific vaccine programs,and life-table methods were used to calculate the loss of life expectancy,years of life lost,and loss of working years.The total notification number for the 11 VPDs was 211,866,000 from 1950 to 2018.The greatest number occurred in 1959,with a total incidence of 1,723 per million persons.From 1978 to 2018,a substantial decline was observed in the incidence of major infectious diseases.The incidence of pertussis fell 98%from 126.35 to 1.58 per million,and the incidences of measles,meningococcal meningitis,and Japanese encephalitis fell 99%,99%,and 98%,respectively.The regression models showed that most of the 11 diseases exhibited dramatic declines in morbidity after their integration into the Expanded Program on Immunization(EPI),while varicella and paratyphoid fever,which were not integrated into the EPI,showed increased morbidity.From 1978 to 2018,the total life expectancy for the 11 VPDs increased by 0.79 years,and similar results were obtained for different age groups.China has had great success in controlling VPDs in recent decades,and improving vaccination coverage is a key aspect of controlling VPDs in China. | Jinhua Pan Yesheng Wang Lingsheng Cao Ying Wang Qi Zhao Shenglan Tang Wenfeng Gong Lei Guo Zhixi Liu Zexuan Wen Bo Zheng Weibing Wang | 2021 | The Innovation2021,2,2: | 2 |

| 17 | Exploring the complex structural evolution of global primary product trade network显示文摘The production and trade of primary products had a growing impact on the economic security of all countries and regions,and the strategic position of these products in the global trade network was becoming increasingly prominent.Based on complex network theory,this paper explored the spatial pattern and complex structural evolution of the global primary product trade network(GPPTN)during 1985-2015 by using index methods,such as centrality,Sankey diagram,and structure entropy,focusing on the diversified spatial structure of China’s import and export markets for primary products(with exceptions of Taiwan of China,Hong Kong of China,and Macao of China due to a lack of data)and their geographical implications for China’s energy security.The research offered the following key findings.The GPPTN showed an obvious spatial heterogeneity pattern,and the area of import consumption was more concentrated;however,the overall trend was decentralized.The trade center of gravity shifted eastwards and reflected the rise of emerging markets.The overall flow of the GPPTN was from west to east and from south to north.In terms of the community detection of the GPPTN,North America,Europe,and Asia increasingly presented an unbalanced“tripartite confrontation”.China’s exports of primary products were mainly concentrated in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations(ASEAN)and other peripheral regions of Asia,and its imports undergone a major transformation,gradually expanding from the peripheral regions of Asia to Africa,the Middle East,Latin America,and other parts of the world.Energy fuels also became the largest imported primary products.Based on the changing trend of structural entropy and main market share,the analysis showed that the stable supply of China’s energy diversification was gradually realized.In particular,the cooperation dividend proposed by the Belt and Road initiative became an important turning point and a strong support for the expansion of China’s energy market diversification pattern and guarantee of energy security. | JIANG Xiaorong LIU Qing WANG Shenglan | 2022 | Regional Sustainability2022,3,1: | 1 |
