The effect of an electric field on the thermomechanical damage of nodular defects in dielectric multilayer coatings irradiated by nanosecond laser pulses显示文摘Thermomechanical damage of nodules in dielectric multilayer coatings that are irradiated by nanosecond laser pulses has been interpreted with respect to mechanical properties and electric-field enhancement. However, the effect of electric-field enhancement in nodular damage, especially the influence of electric-field distributions, has never been directly demonstrated through experimental results, which prevents the achievement of a clear understanding of the damage process of nodular defects. Here,a systematic and comparative study was designed to reveal how electric-field distributions affect the damage behavior of nodules. To obtain reliable results, two series of artificial nodules with different geometries and film absorption characteristics were prepared from monodisperse silica microspheres. After establishing simplified geometrical models of the nodules, the electric-field enhancement was simulated using a three-dimensional finite-difference time-domain code. Then, the damage morphologies of the artificial nodules were directly compared with the simulated electric-field intensity profiles. For both series of nodules, the damage morphologies reproduced our simulated electric-field intensity distributions very well. These results indicated that the electric-field distribution was actually a bridge that connected the nodular mechanical properties to the final thermomechanical damage.Understanding of the damage mechanism of nodules was deepened by obtaining data on the influence of electric-field distributions on the damage behavior of nodules.Xinbin Cheng Jinlong Zhang Tao Ding Zeyong Wei Hongqiang Li Zhanshan Wang 2013Light(Science & Applications)2013,2,1:20

Optimal Control for a Class of Complex Singular System Based on Adaptive Dynamic Programming显示文摘This paper presents a new design approach to achieve decentralized optimal control of high-dimension complex singular systems with dynamic uncertainties. Based on robust adaptive dynamic programming(robust ADP) method, controllers for solving the singular systems optimal control problem are designed. The proposed algorithm can work well when the system model is not exactly known but the input and output data can be measured. The policy iteration of each controller only uses their own states and input information for learning, and do not need to know the whole system dynamics. Simulation results on the New England 10-machine 39-bus test system show the effectiveness of the designed controller.Zhan Shi Zhanshan Wang 2019IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2019,6,1:5

Multilevel Feature Moving Average Ratio Method for Fault Diagnosis of the Microgrid Inverter Switch显示文摘Multilevel feature moving average ratio method is proposed to realize an open-switch fault diagnosis for any switch of the microgrid inverter. The main steps of the proposed method include multilevel signal decomposition, coefficient reconstruction, absolute average ratio process and artificial neural network(ANN) classification. Specifically, multilevel signal decomposition is realized by using the means of multi resolution analysis to obtain the different frequency band coefficients of the three-phase current signal. The related coefficient reconstruction is executed to achieve signals decomposition in different levels. Furthermore, according to the obtained data, the absolute average ratio process is used to extract absolute moving average ratio of signal decomposition in different levels for the three-phase current. Finally, to intelligently classify the inverter switch fault and realize the adaptive ability, the ANN technology is applied.Compared to conventional fault diagnosis methods, the proposed method can accurately detect and locate the open-switch fault for any location of the microgrid inverter. Additionally, it need not set related threshold of algorithm and does not require normalization process, which is relatively easy to implement. The effectiveness of the proposed fault diagnosis method is demonstrated through detailed simulation results.Zhanjun Huang Zhanshan Wang Huaguang Zhang 2017IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2017,4,2:4
Medical Image Segmentation using PCNN based on Multi-feature Grey Wolf Optimizer Bionic Algorithm显示文摘Medical image segmentation is a challenging task especially in multimodality medical image analysis. In this paper,an improved pulse coupled neural network based on multiple hybrid features grey wolf optimizer(MFGWO-PCNN)is proposed for multimodality medical image segmentation.Specifically,a two-stage medical image segmentation method based on bionic algorithm is presented, including image fusion and image segmentation. The image fusion stage fuses rich information from different modalities by utilizing a multimodality medical image fusion model based on maximum energy region. In the stage of image segmentation,an improved PCNN model based on MFGWO is proposed, which can adaptively set the parameters of PCNN according to the features of the image. Two modalities of FLAIR and TIC brain MRIs are applied to verify the effectiveness of the proposed MFGWO-PCNN algorithm. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms the other seven algorithms in subjective vision and objective evaluation indicators.Xue Wang Zhanshan Li Heng Kang Yongping Huang Di Gai 2021Journal of Bionic Engineering2021,18,3:4
Ultra-broadband reflector using double-layer subwavelength gratings显示文摘Double-layer high-contrast subwavelength gratings that are separated by a dielectric space layer are investigated to achieve ultra-broadband reflection. The reflection phase of subwavelength gratings and the propagation phase shift between two gratings are manipulated to expand reflection bandwidth by properly stacking two reflective gratings.A reflector exhibiting a 99%reflectance bandwidth of^1080 nm in the near-infrared is designed. Then this reflector is prepared using laser interference lithography and ion beam planarization, and an ultra-broadband reflection is achieved with reflectance exceeding 97%over a wavelength range of 955 nm in the near-infrared region.JINLONG ZHANG SHUAIKAI SHI HONGFEI JIAO XIAOCHUAN JI ZHANSHAN WANG XINBIN CHENG 2020Photonics Research2020,8,3:4

Design, fabrication and characterization of the X-ray supermirrors显示文摘The design, fabrication and characterization of the X-ray supermirrors are discussed in this paper. Using the local optimization method of simplex algorithm and the global one of simulated annealing algorithm with different initial multilayer structures, we designed the broad angular band supermirrors with different grazing incidence angle intervals at the energy of 8.0 keV (the Kα line of Cu) and the broad energetic band supermirrors with different energy intervals at fixed grazing incidence angles. The fabricating techniques for depositing non-periodic multilayers are also studied. The W/C and W/Si supermirrors are deposited on silicon substrates and characterized by a high resolution X-ray D1 diffractometer from Bede Company, UK. Choosing the interface roughness and the densities of the materials as independent variables, some measured reflectivity curves are fitted using the Debye-Waller factor with interface roughness. The experimental results show that the optical performances of the fabricated supermirrors are in agreement with the designed ones.WANG Zhanshan WANG Fengli ZHANG Zhong CHENG Xinbin QIN Shuji CHEN Lingyan 2005Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2005,48,5:2

Machining Deformation Prediction of Thin-Walled Part Based on Finite Element Analysis显示文摘For the problems of machining distortion and the low accepted product during milling process of aluminum alloy thin-walled part, this paper starts from the analysis of initial stress state in material preparation process, the change process of residual stress within aluminum alloy pre-stretching plate is researched, and the distribution law of residual stress is indirectly obtained by delamination measurement methods,so the effect of internal residual stress on machining distortion is considered before finite element simulation. Considering the coupling effects of residual stress, dynamic milling force and clamping force on machining distortion,a threedimensional dynamic finite element simulation model is established, and the whole cutting process is simulated from the blank material to finished product,a novel prediction method is proposed, which can availably predict the machining distortion accurately. The machining distortion state of the thin-walled part is achieved at different processing steps, the machining distortion of the thin-walled part is detected with three coordinate measuring machine tools, show that the simulation results are in good agreement with experimental data.Hongxiang Wang Yabin Tang Zhanshan Liu Shi Gao 2015Journal of Harbin Institute of Technology(New Series)2015,22,4:2

A framework for investigating the air quality variation characteristics based on the monitoring data: Case study for Beijing during 2013–2016显示文摘In this study, an analysis framework based on the regular monitoring data was proposed for investigating the annual/inter-annual air quality variation and the contributions from different factors(i.e., seasons, pollution periods and airflow directions), through a case study in Beijing from 2013 to 2016. The results showed that the annual mean concentrations(MC) of PM_(2.5), SO_2, NO_2 and CO had decreased with annual mean ratios of 7.5%, 28.6%, 4.6%and 15.5% from 2013 to 2016, respectively. Among seasons, the MC in winter contributed the largest fractions(25.8%~46.4%) to the annual MC, and the change of MC in summer contributed most to the inter-annual MC variation(IMCV) of PM_(2.5) and NO2. For different pollution periods, gradually increase of frequency of S-1(PM_(2.5), 0~ 75 μg/m^3) made S-1 become the largest contributor(28.8%) to the MC of PM_(2.5) in 2016, it had a negative contribution(-13.1%) to the IMCV of PM_(2.5); obvious decreases of frequencies of heavily polluted and severely polluted dominated(44.7% and 39.5%) the IMCV of PM_(2.5). For different airflow directions, the MC of pollutants under the south airflow had the most significant decrease(22.5%~62.5%), and those decrease contributed most to the IMCV of PM_(2.5)(143.3%),SO2(72.0%), NO_2(55.5%) and CO(190.3%); the west airflow had negative influences to the IMCV of PM_(2.5), NO_2 and CO. The framework is helpful for further analysis and utilization of the large amounts of monitoring data; and the analysis results can provide scientific supports for the formulation or adjustment of further air pollution mitigation policy.Jixian Cui Jianlei Lang Tian Chen Shushuai Mao Shuiyuan Cheng Zhanshan Wang Nianliang Cheng 2019Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,7:2

A novel suboptimal algorithm for state estimation of Markov jump linear systems显示文摘This paper is concerned with state estimation problem for Markov jump linear systems where the disturbances involved in the systems equations and measurement equations are assumed to be Gaussian noise sequences.Based on two properties of conditional expectation, orthogonal projective theorem is applied to the state estimation problem of the considered systems so that a novel suboptimal algorithm is obtained. The novelty of the algorithm lies in using orthogonal projective theorem instead of Kalman filters to estimate the state.A numerical comparison of the algorithm with the interacting multiple model algorithm is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.Liu, Wei Zhang, Huaguang Fu, Jie Wang, Zhanshan 2011控制理论与应用(英文版)2011,9,2:1
