7A novel surface molecularly imprinted polymer as the solid-phase extraction adsorbent for the selective determination of ampicillin sodium in milk and blood samples显示文摘Surface molecularly imprinted polymers(SMIPs) for selective adsorption of ampicillin sodium were synthesized using surface molecular imprinting technique with silica gel as a support.The physical and morphological characteristics of the polymers were investigated by scanning electron microscope(SEM),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),thermogravimetric analysis(TGA),elemental analysis and nitrogen adsorption–desorption test.The obtained results showed that the SMIPs displayed great adsorption capacity(13.5 μg/mg),high recognition ability(the imprinted factor is 3.2) and good binding kinetics for ampicillin sodium.Finally,as solid phase extraction adsorbents,the SMIPs coupled with HPLC method were validated and applied for the enrichment,purification and determination of ampicillin sodium in real milk and blood samples.The averages of spiked accuracy ranged from 92.1% to 107.6%.The relative standard deviations of intra- and inter-day precisions were less than 4.6%.This study provides a new and promising method for enriching,extracting and determining ampicillin sodium in complex biological samples.Ningli Wu Zhimin Luo Yanhui Ge Pengqi Guo Kangli Du Weili Tang Wei Du Aiguo Zeng Chun Chang Qiang Fu 2016Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2016,6,3:6
8Modulation of nitrate-induced phosphate response by the MYB transcription factor RLI1/HINGE1 in the nucleus显示文摘The coordinated utilization of nitrogen(N)and phosphorus(P)is vital for plants to maintain nutrient balance and achieve optimal growth.Previously,we revealed a mechanism by which nitrate induces genes for phosphate utilization;this mechanism depends on NRT1.1B-facilitated degradation of cytoplasmic SPX4,which in turn promotes cytoplasmic-nuclear shuttling of PHR2,the central transcription factor of phosphate signaling,and triggers the nitrate-induced phosphate response(NIPR)and N-P coordinated utilization in rice.In this study,we unveiled a fine-tuning mechanism of NIPR in the nucleus regulated by Highly Induced by Nitrate Gene 1(HINGE1,also known as RLI1),a MYB-transcription factor closely related to PHR2.RLI1/HINGE1,which is transcriptionally activated by PHR2 under nitrate induction,can directly activate the expression of phosphate starvation-induced genes.More importantly,RLI1/HINGE1 competes with PHR2 for binding to its repressor proteins in the nucleus(SPX proteins),and consequently releases PHR2 to further enhance phosphate response.Therefore,RLI1/HINGE1 amplifies the phosphate response in the nucleus downstream of the cytoplasmic SPX4-PHR2 cascade,thereby enabling fine-tuning of N-P balance when nitrate supply is sufficient.Zhihua Zhang Zhao Li Wei Wang Zhimin Jiang Liping Guo Xiaohan Wang Yangwen Qian Xiahe Huang Yongqiang Liu Xiujie Liu Yahong Liu Aifu Li Yu Yan Junpeng Xie Shouyun Cao Stanislav Kopriva Legong Li Fanjiang Kong Baohui Liu Yingchun Wang Bin Hu Chengcai Chu 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,3:4
9PSO-based Parameter Tuning for a TwoDegree-of-Freedom IMC Scheme and Its Application to Paper Basis Weight Control显示文摘Basis weight is an important indicator for evaluating paper quality and a major factor directly affecting the economic benefits of enterprises.Focusing on the large time-delay,time-varying,and nonlinear characteristics of a basis weight control system,a two-degree-of-freedom(TDF)internal model control(IMC)method based on a particle swarm optimization(PSO)algorithm was proposed.The method took the integral of time multiplied by the absolute error(ITAE)as the objective function,and the PSO algorithm was used to optimize the time constant of the tuning IMC filter.The simulation results for the control system under the proposed TDF-IMC method based on the PSO algorithm demonstrate good set-point tracking performance,strong anti-interference capabilities,and good robustness properties.The application results revealed that the basis weight fluctuation range of the paper was±2 g/m2,which significantly improved both the control quality and the product quality.Wei Tang Zhimin Yuan Wenjuan Shan MdMuhie Menul Haque 2019Paper And Biomaterials2019,4,4:4
10Microwave-assisted hydroxylation of benzene to phenol with H_2O_2 over FeSO_4/SiO_2显示文摘Hydroxyl radicals HO are generated under Fenton-like (Fe2++H2O2→HO?+OH?+Fe3+) catalytic conditions upon microwave irradiation. Liquid-phase direct catalytic oxidation of benzene to phenol was obtained using FeSO4 supported on silica gel as a solid catalyst and hydrogen peroxide as the oxidant. The effects of various parameters, such as the different solvents, the amount of solvent used, the amount of catalyst used, the reaction time, the reaction temperature and the amount of hydrogen peroxide used on the yield of phenol were studied to identify optimum reaction conditions. Conventionally heated reaction gives a phenol yield of 0.6%. A higher phenol yield of 13.9% with a selectivity of 100% is obtained when the reaction mixture was irradiated with micro-wave energy. 11Risk assessment of Giardia from a full scale MBR sewage treatment plant caused by membrane integrity failure显示文摘Membrane bioreactors(MBR) are highly efficient at intercepting particles and microbes and have become an important technology for wastewater reclamation. However, many pathogens can accumulate in activated sludge due to the long residence time usually adopted in MBR, and thus may pose health risks when membrane integrity problems occur.This study presents data from a survey on the occurrence of water-borne Giardia pathogens in reclaimed water from a full-scale wastewater treatment plant with MBR experiencing membrane integrity failure, and assessed the associated risk for green space irrigation. Due to membrane integrity failure, the MBR effluent turbidity varied between 0.23 and 1.90 NTU over a period of eight months. Though this turbidity level still met reclaimed water quality standards(≤ 5 NTU), Giardia were detected at concentrations of 0.3 to 95 cysts/10 L, with a close correlation between effluent turbidity and Giardia concentration. All β-giardin gene sequences of Giardia in the WWTP influents were genotyped as Assemblages A and B, both of which are known to infect humans. An exponential dose–response model was applied to assess the risk of infection by Giardia. The risk in the MBR effluent with chlorination was9.83 × 10-3, higher than the acceptable annual risk of 1.0 × 10-4. 12Associations of PGK1 promoter hypomethylation and PGK1-mediated PDHK1 phosphorylation with cancer stage and prognosis:a TCGA pan-cancer analysis显示文摘Background:Cancer cells reprogram metabolism for proliferation.Phosphoglycerate kinase 1(PGK1),as a glycolytic enzyme and newly identified protein kinase,coordinates glycolysis and mitochondrial metabolism.However,the clini-cal significance of PGK1 expression and function in cancer progression is unclear.Here,we investigated the relation-ship between the progression and prognosis of multiple cancer types and PGK1 expression and its function in the mitochondrial metabolism regulation.Methods:We performed pan-cancer analyses of PGK1 mRNA level and DNA methylation in 11,908 tumor tissues and 1582 paired normal tissues across 34 cancer types in The Cancer Genome Atlas datasets.Using specific antibodies against PGK1 S203 and PDHK1 T338 phosphorylation,we performed immunohistochemistry with tissue microarray assay in additional 818 cancer cases with 619 paired normal tissues from five cancer types.Results:The PGK1 mRNA level was significantly elevated with hypomethylation in promotor regions and associated with advanced TNM stage in 15 and four cancer types,respectively.In breast carcinoma,elevated PGK1 mRNA level and promoter hypomethylation were associated with poor prognosis.Positively correlated PGK1 S203 and PDHK1 T338 phosphorylation levels were significantly associated with short overall survival(OS)in cancers of the breast,liver,lung,stomach,and esophagus and with advanced TNM stage in breast and esophageal cancers.PGK1 pS203 and PDHK1 pT338 were also independent predictors of short OS in liver,lung,and stomach cancer.Conclusions:The elevated expression,promoter hypomethylation,and phosphorylation of PGK1 and PDHK1 were related with disease progression and short OS in diverse types of cancer.PGK1 and PDHK1 phosphorylation may be potential prognostic biomarkers.Fei Shao Xueying Yang Wei Wang Juhong Wang Wei Guo Xiaoli Feng Susheng Shi Qi Xue Shugeng Gao Yibo Gao Zhimin Lu Jie He 2019Cancer Communications2019,39,1:4
13Oscillating Cellulase Adsorption and Enhanced Lignocellulose Hydrolysis upon Ultrasound Treatment显示文摘We investigated the effects of ultrasound treatment on cellulase adsorption and lignocellulose hydrolysis.The activity of cellulase remained constant upon lowpower ultrasound treatment(<120 W) and decreased using high-power ultrasound(>280 W).Oscillating cellulase adsorption occurred upon ultrasound treatment with any intensity.The maxima for desorption and adsorption were41.9 and 83.1%,respectively,during 1 h of 90 W ultrasound treatment at 50 °C.A comparison between the shorttime with long-time ultrasound experiments indicated that ultrasound treatment tended to desorb cellulase from substrate.However,ultrasound treatment also led to further surface erosion of biomass,which increased cellulase accessibility.These joint actions of ultrasound treatment induced the oscillating adsorption of cellulase.The increase in cellulase accessibility caused by ultrasound treatment led to a significant enhancement in lignocellulose hydrolysis.Rongxin Su Renjun Yang Yang Jifeng Ruoyu Du Renliang Huang Wei Qi Zhimin He 2017Transactions of Tianjin University2017,23,1:3

15Adriamycin Thermotherapy through the Hepatic Artery Using VX2 Carcinoma in Rabbit Liver as a Model显示文摘OBJECTIVE It has been reported that heating can enhance sensitivity of rabbit VX2 cells to adriamycin and increase the intracellular concentration of adriamycin. This study was designed to evaluate the anti-tumor effect of interventional hyperthermia and interventional thermochemotherapy on VX2 carcinoma in rabbit liver. METHODS VX2 carcinoma cells were surgically implanted into the right liver lobe of 60 male New Zealand white rabbits, which were randomly divided into 4 groups (15 per group). The 4 groups (designated as 1, 2, 3, 4 respectively) were injected with 10 ml of the following via the hepatic artery: physiological saline (37℃); adriamycin (37℃); physiological saline (60℃); adriamycin (60℃). One week later, the tumor volume, serum level of aspartate transaminase (AST) and the survival of the rabbits bearing VX2 were observed and compared among the different treated groups. RESULTS The tumor growth rate in group 4 (ADM 60℃) (0.53±0.21)% was significantly lower than that in group 1 (3.48±1.17)%, in group 2 (1.09±0.26)% and group 3 (3.32±1.28)% (P<0.05, P<0.05, P<0.01, respectively). The days of survival days for group 4 (87.0±2.0) were significantly more than that in group 1 (40.0±3.0). Group 4 showed a significantly higher increase in serum AST compared to group 1 (P<0.05), but without significant differences compared to the other groups (P>0.05). 18Bioinformatics study indicates possible microRNA-regulated pathways in the differentiation of breast cancer显示文摘microRNAs (miRNAs) have been reported to be associated with the pathogenesis and progression of breast cancer.However,little is known about the pathways through which miRNAs regulate these processes,e.g.,the interaction between miRNAs and their target genes with regard to different pathological status of breast cancer,such as histological grades.This study investigated the possible roles of miRNAs in the differentiation of histological grades of breast cancer with a computational approach.Based on a microarray dataset,15 candidate miRNAs were identified,whose predicted target genes are enriched as differentially expressed between grade I and grade III breast tumors.Among them,9 key miRNAs focalize their target genes on 6 central signaling pathways.The SMAD7 protein,the main inhibitory protein in the TGF-β pathway,is predicted as a target of several miRNAs and is also regulated by several other pathways that are possibly targeted by miRNAs.It was hypothesized that miRNAs participate in the differentiation of breast cancer and the TGF-β pathway acts as a major implementary pathway on which several miRNAs take effect through multiple channels.The prediction power of the predicted miRNA target genes was validated on three independent datasets.The differential expression of three miRNAs was validated by real-time PCR on breast carcinoma samples of 10 patients.PEI YunFei WANG ZhiMin FEI Fei SHAO ZhiMing HUANG Wei ZHANG XueGong 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,10:2
19Post-transcriptional regulator Rbm47 elevates IL-10 production and promotes the immunosuppression of B cells显示文摘Regulatory B cells(Bregs)are a functionally defined B cell subset,and IL-10 is crucial for the suppressive functions of Bregs.However,little is known regarding how IL-10 production is regulated in B cells.To explore the mechanisms by which IL-10 is regulated in B cells,we used mRNA microarrays to screen for molecules that are upregulated in IL-10-producing B cells and identified RNA-binding motif protein 47(Rbm47)as a post-transcriptional regulator.Rbm47 was found to promote IL-10 production in B cells.We found that Rbm47 promotes the stability of IL-10 mRNA by binding to AU-rich elements in the 3′untranslated region of Il10 mRNA.In addition,we demonstrated that the overexpression of Rbm47 enabled B cells to facilitate Foxp3+regulator T-cell induction and reduce the severity of DSS-induced ulcerative colitis.Taken together,these results suggest that Rbm47 plays an important role in regulating IL-10 at the post-transcriptional level,thus promoting the regulatory functions of B cells.The findings presented in this study not only increase our understanding of the post-translational regulation of IL-10 in B cells but also identify a novel strategy for the potential application of Bregs.Yinxiang Wei Fanghui Zhang Yu Zhang Xiaoqian Wang Chen Xing Jing Guo Hui Zhang Zhimin Suo Yan Li Jianli Wang Renxi Wang Zhijian Cai 2019Cellular & Molecular Immunology2019,16,6:2
20CO2-hierarchical activated carbon prepared from coal gasification residue: Adsorption equilibrium, isotherm, kinetic and thermodynamic studies for methylene blue removal显示文摘Mineral matter in a residue(RC G)from coal gasification(CG)was removed by two-stage acid leaching.Hierarchical activated carbon(HAC)was prepared by activating RC Gwith CO2.The performance of HAC on removing methylene blue(MB)from an aqueous solution was investigated.HAC was characterized by N2 adsorption–desorption isotherm,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,and scanning electron microscopy.The results show that HAC exhibits hierarchical pore structure with high specific surface area(862.76 m2·g-1)and total pore volume(0.684 cm3·g-1),and abundant organic functional groups.The adsorption equilibrium data of MB on HAC are best fitted to the Redlich-Peterson.The kinetic data show that the pseudo-first-order model is more suitable at low MB concentration,while the advantages of the pseudo-second-orderand the Elovich models are more obvious as the concentration increases.According to the thermodynamic parameters,the HAC-MB adsorption process is spontaneous and endothermic.Yuhong Kang Xianyong Wei Guanghui Liu Miao Mu Xiangrong Ma Yong Gao Zhimin Zong 2020Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,6:2
