| 1 | Liquefaction macrophenomena in the great Wenchuan earthquake显示文摘On May 12,2008 at 14:28,a catastrophic magnitude Ms 8.0 earthquake struck the Sichuan Province of China.The epicenter was located at Wenchuan(31.00oN,103.40oE).Liquefaction macrophenomena and corresponding destruction was observed throughout a vast area of 500 km long and 200 km wide following the earthquake.This paper illustrates the geographic distribution of the liquefaction and the relationship between liquefaction behavior and seismic intensity,and summarizes the liquefaction macrophenomena,including sandboils and waterspouts,ground subsidence,ground fi ssures etc.,and relevant liquefaction features.A brief summary of the structural damage caused by liquefaction is presented and discussed.Based on comparisons with liquefaction phenomena observed in the 1976 Tangshan and 1975 Haicheng earthquakes,preliminary analyses were performed,which revealed some new features of liquefaction behavior and associated issues arising from this event.The site investigation indicated that the spatial non-uniformity of liquefaction distribution was obvious and most of the liquefi ed sites were located in regions of seismic intensity VIII.However,liquefaction phenomena at ten different sites in regions of seismic intensity VI were also observed for the fi rst time in China mainland.Sandboils and waterspouts ranged from centimeters to tens of meters,with most between 1 m to 3 m.Dramatically high water/sand ejections,e.g.,more than 10 m,were observed at four different sites.The sand ejections included silty sand,fi ne sand,medium sand,course sand and gravel,but the ejected sand amount was less than that in the 1976 Tangshan earthquake.Possible liquefaction of natural gravel soils was observed for the fi rst time in China mainland. | Chen Longwei Yuan Xiaoming Cao Zhenzhong Hou Longqing Sun Rui Dong Lin Wang Weiming Meng Fanchao Chen Hongjuan | 2009 | Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2009,8,2: | 14 |
| 2 | High-Performance Flexible Asymmetric Supercapacitor Based on CoAl-LDH and rGO Electrodes显示文摘A flexible asymmetric supercapacitor(ASC)based on a Co Al-layered double hydroxide(Co Al-LDH)electrode and a reduced graphene oxide(r GO) electrode was successfully fabricated. The Co Al-LDH electrode as a positive electrode was synthesized by directly growing Co Al-LDH nanosheet arrays on a carbon cloth(CC)through a facile hydrothermal method, and it delivered a specific capacitance of 616.9 F g^(-1)at a current density of1 A g^(-1). The r GO electrode as a negative electrode was synthesized by coating r GO on the CC via a simple dipcoating method and revealed a specific capacitance of110.0 F g^(-1)at a current density of 2 A g^(-1). | 3 | BLT1 in dendritic cells promotes Th1/Th17 differentiation and its deficiency ameliorates TNBS-induced colitis显示文摘Leukotriene B4(LTB4)synthesis is enhanced in the colonic mucosa in patients with inflammatory bowel disease(IBD).BLT1,a highaffinity receptor for LTB4,exhibits no effect on the progression of dextran sodium sulfate(DSS)-induced colitis,which mostly relies on innate immunity.Here,we reported that BLT1 regulates trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid(TNBS)-induced colitis,which reflects CD4+T-cell-dependent adaptive immune mechanisms of IBD.We found that BLT1 signaling enhanced the progression of colitis through controlling the production of proinflammatory cytokines by dendritic cells(DCs)and modulating the differentiation of Th1 and Th17.BLT1−/−mice displayed an alleviated severity of TNBS-induced colitis with reduced body weight loss and infiltrating cells in the lamina propria.BLT1 deficiency in DCs led to reduced production of proinflammatory cytokines,including IL-6,TNF-α,and IL-12,and these results were further confirmed via treatment with a BLT1 antagonist.The impaired cytokine production by BLT1−/−DCs subsequently led to reduced Th1 and Th17 differentiation both in vitro and in vivo.We further performed a conditional DC reconstitution experiment to assess whether BLT1 in DCs plays a major role in regulating the pathogenesis of TNBS-induced colitis,and the results indicate that BLT1 deficiency in DCs also significantly reduces disease severity.The mechanistic study demonstrated that BLT1-regulated proinflammatory cytokine production through the Gαiβγsubunit-phospholipase Cβ(PLCβ)-PKC pathway.Notably,we found that treatment with the BLT1 antagonist also reduced the production of proinflammatory cytokines by human peripheral blood DCs.Our findings reveal the critical role of BLT1 in regulating adaptive immunity and TNBS-induced colitis,which further supports BLT1 as a potential drug target for adaptive immunity-mediated IBD. | Jinfeng Zhou Weiming Lai Wanjie Yang Juping Pan Hu Shen Yingying Cai Cuixia Yang Ningjia Ma Yue Zhang Ru Zhang Xin Xie Zhongjun Dong Yuan Gao Changsheng Du | 2018 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2018,15,12: | 9 |
| 4 | Mitochondrial DNA A1555G mutation screening using a testing kit method and its significance in preventing aminoglycoside-related hearing loss显示文摘To report a new screening method for mitochondrial DNA 1555A→G mutation and the results of genotype analysis in 19 maternal inherited deafness pedigrees. Method Five hundred and forty-six non-syndromic neuro-sensory hearing loss patients were tested for 1555A→G mutation using a new compact testing kit, which allows clear distinction between wild type and 1555 A→G mutated mtDNAs. Results Nineteen subjects among the 546 patients (3.48%) were found to carry mtDNA A1555G mutation. The results were confirmed by sequencing in an ABI 3100 Avant sequencer. Conclusions Maternal inherited deafness families are a frequently seen in outpatient group. | 5 | Environmental impact factors and mercury speciation in the sediment along Fujian and eastern Guangdong coasts显示文摘Concentrations of total mercury (THg) and methyl mercury (MeHg) were determined for 32 surface sediments collected along the coastal line of Fujian Province and eastern Guangdong Province. The spatial distributions of THg and MeHg and their environmental impact factors were investigated. The average concentrations of THg and MeHg in the sediments were 31.5 ng/g and 0.096 ng/g, respectively. Both sediment THg and MeHg concentrations showed relatively high value in the Minjiang Estuary and the coastal areas of Quanzhou and Putian. The concentrations overall decreased as the distance to the shoreline increased. The correlations among environmental impact factors and THg, MeHg were analyzed. The sediment THg concentration was highly correlated to the concentrations of organic matter, copper, total nitrogen (TN) and total phosphorus (TP), and significantly correlated to pH value of the bottom seawater and concentration of sediment sulfide. | 6 | An Intra-Oceanic Subduction System Influenced by Ridge Subduction in the Diyanmiao Subduction Accretionary Complex of the Xar Moron Area,Eastern Margin of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt显示文摘This study focuses on the geology,geochemistry,Sr-Nd isotopes and their tectonic settings of three types of basalts in Diyanmiao ophiolite in the Xar Moron area located on the eastern margin of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt.Type I basalts are oceanic tholeiites with a depleted light rare earth element(LREE)pattern,which are similar to the typical N-mid-oceanic ridge basalt(MORB)and suggests that they were formed at a mid-oceanic ridge.The initial 87Sr/86Sr ratios of Type I basalts range from 0.703966 to 0.705276 and theεNd(t)values are from 16.49 to 17.15,indicating that they were derived from a depleted mantle source.Type II basalts belong to the medium-potassium calc-akaline series and have the geochem-ical characteristics of Nb-enriched basalt(NEB)with high Nb content(14.5 ppm)and strong enrichment in LREEs,implying that they were created by the partial melting of mantle wedge peridotite that previously metasomatized by slab melts.Type III basalts are high-Al basalt(HAB)with high-Al contents(Al_(2)0_(3)=16.75 wt.%-18.00 wt.%),distinct Nb depletion and high Th/Yb ratios.Thus they were likely gen-erated in a normal island-arc setting.Therefore,the association of MORB,NEB,and HAB in the study area may be due to the subduction of a mid-oceanic ridge,and the Diyanmiao ophiolite is proposed to be formed in the forearc setting of a mid-oceanic ridge subduction system. | Yang Cheng Qinghui Xiao Tingdong Li Liquan Xu Yuxu Fan Yan Li Lingjun Guo Jinli Pang Weiming Yuan | 2021 | Journal of Earth Science2021,32,1: | 6 |
| 7 | Synthesis of 3D Hexagram-Like Cobalt–Manganese Sulfides Nanosheets Grown on Nickel Foam: A Bifunctional Electrocatalyst for Overall Water Splitting显示文摘The exploration of low-cost and efficient bifunctional electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction and hydrogen evolution reaction through tuning the chemical composition is strongly required for sustainable resources. Herein, we developed a bimetallic cobalt–manganese sulfide supported on Ni foam(CMS/Ni) via a solvothermal method. It has discovered that after combining with the pure Co_9S_8 and Mn S, the morphologies of CMS/Ni have modulated. The obtained three-dimensionally hexagram-like CMS/Ni nanosheets have a significant increase in electrochemical active surface area and charge transport ability. More than that, the synergetic effect of Co and Mn has also presented in this composite. Benefiting from these, the CMS/Ni electrode shows great performance toward hydrogen evolution reaction and oxygen evolution reaction in basic medium, comparing favorably to that ofthe pure Co_9S_8/Ni and Mn S/Ni. The frequency conversion can provide energy of 50-J level at 351 nm. | 14 | Optimizing photosynthetic and respiratory parameters based on the seasonal variation pattern in regional net ecosystem productivity obtained from atmospheric inversion显示文摘In this study, we explore the feasibility of optimizing ecosystem photosynthetic and respiratory parameters from the seasonal variation of the net carbon flux. An optimization scheme is proposed to estimate two key parameters(Vmax25and Q10) by exploiting the seasonal variation in the net ecosystem carbon flux retrieved by an atmospheric inversion system. This scheme is implemented to estimate Vmax25 and Q10of the boreal ecosystem productivity simulator(BEPS) to improve its NEP simulation in the boreal North American region. Then, in situ NEE observations at six eddy covariance sites are used to evaluate the NEE simulations from BEPS with initial and optimized parameters. The results show that the performance of the optimized BEPS is superior to that of the BEPS with the default parameter values. | 15 | A Protective Mechanism for the Access Control System in the Virtual Domain显示文摘In traditional framework,mandatory access control(MAC) system and malicious software are run in kernel mode. Malicious software can stop MAC systems to be started and make it do invalid. This problem cannot be solved under the traditional framework if the operating system(OS) is comprised since malwares are running in ring 0 level. In this paper,we propose a novel way to use hypervisors to protect kernel integrity and the access control system in commodity operating systems. We separate the access control system into three parts: policy management(PM),security server(SS) and policy enforcement(PE). Policy management and the security server reside in the security domain to protect them against malware and the isolation feather of the hypervisor can protect them from attacks. We add an access vector cache(AVC) between SS and PE in the guest OS,in order to speed up communication between the guest OS and the security domain. The policy enforcement module is retained in the guest OS for performance. The security of AVC and PE can be ensured by using a memory protection mechanism. The goal of protecting the OS kernel is to ensure the security of the execution path. We implementthe system by a modified Xen hypervisor. The result shows that we can secure the security of the access control system in the guest OS with no overhead compared with modules in the latter. | 16 | A Novel Two-Level Optimization Strategy for Multi-Debris Active Removal Mission in LEO显示文摘Recent studies of the space debris environment in Low Earth Orbit(LEO)have shown that the critical density of space debris has been reached in certain regions.The Active Debris Removal(ADR)mission,to mitigate the space debris density and stabilize the space debris environment,has been considered as a most effective method.In this paper,a novel two-level optimization strategy for multi-debris removal mission in LEO is proposed,which includes the low-level and high-level optimization process.To improve the overall performance of the multi-debris active removal mission and obtain multiple Pareto-optimal solutions,the ADR mission is seen as a Time-Dependant Traveling Salesman Problem(TDTSP)with two objective functions to minimize the total mission duration and the total propellant consumption.The problem includes the sequence optimization to determine the sequence of removal of space debris and the transferring optimization to define the orbital maneuvers.Two optimization models for the two-level optimization strategy are built in solving the multi-debris removal mission,and the optimal Pareto solution is successfully obtained by using the non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm II(NSGA-II).Two test cases are presented,which show that the low level optimization strategy can successfully obtain the optimal sequences and the initial solution of the ADR mission and the high level optimization strategy can efficiently and robustly find the feasible optimal solution for long duration perturbed rendezvous problem. | Junfeng Zhao Weiming Feng Jianping Yuan | 2020 | Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2020,,1: | 1 |
