| 2 | The enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP显示文摘In this paper we present the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP. eXTP is a space science mission designed to study fundamental physics under extreme conditions of density, gravity and magnetism. The mission aims at determining the equation of state of matter at supra-nuclear density, measuring effects of QED, and understanding the dynamics of matter in strong-field gravity. In addition to investigating fundamental physics, eXTP will be a very powerful observatory for astrophysics that will provide observations of unprecedented quality on a variety of galactic and extragalactic objects. | 17 | Polymodal roles of transient receptor potential channels in the control of ocular function显示文摘Maintenance of intracellular Ca^(2+)levels at orders of magnitude below those in the extracellular environment is a requisite for preserving cell viability.Membrane channels contribute to such control through modulating their time-dependent opening and closing behaviour.Such regulation requires Ca^(2+)to serve as a second messenger mediating receptor control of numerous life-sustaining responses.Transient receptor potential(TRP)channels signal transduce a wide variety of different sensory stimuli to induce responses modulating cellular function.These channels are non-selective cation channels with variable Ca^(2+)selectivity having extensive sequence homology.They constitute a superfamily made up of 28 different members that are subdivided into 7 different subfamilies based on differences in sequence homology.Some of these TRP channel isotypes are expressed in the eye and localized to both neuronal and non-neuronal cell membranes.Their activation generates intracellular Ca^(2+)transients and other downstream-linked signalling events that affect numerous responses required for visual function.As there is an association between changes in functional TRP expression in various ocular diseases,there are efforts underway to determine if these channels can be used as drug targets to reverse declines in ocular function.We review here our current knowledge about the expression,function and regulation of TRPs in different eye tissues in health and disease.Furthermore,some of the remaining hurdles are described to developing safe and efficacious TRP channel modulators for use in a clinical setting. | Peter S Reinach Weiwei Chen Stefan Mergler | 2015 | Eye and Vision2015,2,1: | 0 |
| 18 | Teaching a robot to use electric tools with regrasp planning显示文摘This study presents a straightforward method to teach robots to use tools.Teaching robots is crucial in quickly deploying and reconfiguring robots in next-generation factories.Conventional methods require third-party systems like wearable devices or complicated vision system to capture,analyse,and map human grasps,motion,and tool poses to robots.These systems assume lots of experience from their users.Unlike the conventional methods,this study does not involve learning human motion and skills.Instead,it only learns the object goal poses from the human user whilst employs regrasp planning to generate robot motion.The method is most suitable for a robot to learn the usage of electric tools that can be operated by simply switching on and off.The proposed method is validated using a dual-arm robot with hand-mounted cameras and several tools.Experimental results show that the proposed method is robust,feasible,and simple to teach robots.It can find a collision-free and kino-dynamic feasible grasp sequences and motion trajectories when the goal pose is reachable.The method allows the robot to automatically choose placements or handover considering the surrounding environment as intermediate states to change the pose of the tool and use tools following human demonstrations. | Mohamed Raessa Daniel Sánchez Weiwei Wan Damien Petit Kensuke Harada | 2019 | CAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology2019,4,1: | 0 |
