1Simultaneous removal of uranium and humic acid by cyclodextrin modified graphene oxide nanosheets显示文摘Cyclodextrin-modified graphene oxide nanosheets(denoted as CD/GO) were synthesized by an in-situ polymerization method and characterized by as well as Fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy and potentiometric acid-base titration. The characterization results indicated that CD was successfully grafted onto GO surfaces by forming a chemical bond. Mutual effects on the simultaneous removal of hexavalent uranium and humic acid by CD/GO from aqueous solution were investigated. The results indicated that U(VI) and humic acid(HA) sorption on CD/GO were greatly affected by pH and ionic strength. The presence of HA enhanced U(VI) sorption at low pH and reduced U(VI) sorption at high pH, whereas the presence of U(VI) enhanced HA sorption. The surface adsorbed HA acted as a 'bridge' between U(VI) and CD/GO, and formed strong inner-sphere surface complexes with U(VI). Sorption isotherms of U(VI) or HA on CD/GO could be well fitted by the Langmuir model. 2Low intensity near-infrared light promotes bone regeneration via circadian clock protein cryptochrome 1显示文摘Bone regeneration remains a great clinical challenge. Low intensity near-infrared(NIR) light showed strong potential to promote tissue regeneration, offering a promising strategy for bone defect regeneration. However, the effect and underlying mechanism of NIR on bone regeneration remain unclear. We demonstrated that bone regeneration in the rat skull defect model was significantly accelerated with low-intensity NIR stimulation. In vitro studies showed that NIR stimulation could promote the osteoblast differentiation in bone mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs) and MC3T3-E1 cells, which was associated with increased ubiquitination of the core circadian clock protein Cryptochrome 1(CRY1) in the nucleus. We found that the reduction of CRY1 induced by NIR light activated the bone morphogenetic protein(BMP) signaling pathways, promoting SMAD1/5/9 phosphorylation and increasing the expression levels of Runx2 and Osterix. NIR light treatment may act through sodium voltage-gated channel Scn4a, which may be a potential responder of NIR light to accelerate bone regeneration. 3Iron oxide nanoparticles promote vascular endothelial cells survival from oxidative stress by enhancement of autophagy显示文摘Dextran-coated superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles(Dex-SPIONs)are excellent magnetic resonance imaging contrast agents for disease diagnosis and therapy.They can be delivered to target tissues mainly though vascular endothelium cells,which are major targets of oxidative stress.In cardiovascular cells,autophagy serves primarily on a pro-survival approach that protects the cells from oxidative stress even some autophagy inducers have been developed for adjuvant therapy of cardiovascular disorders.Our study demonstrated that the nanoparticles could be taken up by human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs)without causing obvious cytotoxicity but triggering autophagy.Furthermore,our results revealed that Dex-SPIONs could enhance HUVECs survival and reverse the reduction of nitric oxide secretion under the condition of H2O2 damage.However,these effects could be diminished by the autophagy inhibitor.In particular,we discovered that Dex-SPIONs evoked autophagy in HUVECs by reducing the phosphorylation of PRAS40,an upstream regulator of autophagy initiation.These results suggested that Dex-SPIONs functions as an autophagic-related antioxidant in HUVECs which may be utilized as an adjuvant therapy to cardiovascular disease associated with oxidative stress.Jimei Duan Jiuju Du Rongrong Jin Wencheng Zhu Li Liu Li Yang Mengye Li Qiyong Gong Bin Song James MAnderson and Hua Ai 2019Regenerative Biomaterials2019,6,4:2
4A natural allele of TAW1 contributes to high grain number and grain yield in rice显示文摘Grain number per panicle (GNP) is a complex trait controlled by quantitative trait loci (QTL),directly determining grain yield in rice.Identifying GNP-associated QTL is desirable for increasing rice yield.A rice chromosome segment substitution line (CSSL),F771,which showed increased panicle length and GNP,was identified in a set of CSSLs derived from a cross between two indica cultivars,R498 (recipient) and WY11327 (donor).Genetic analysis showed that the panicle traits in F771 were semidominant and controlled by multiple QTL.Six QTL were consistently identified by QTL-seq analysis.Among them,the major QTL q PLN10 for panicle length and GNP was localized to a 121-kb interval between markers N802 and N909 on chromosome 10.Based on quantitative real-time PCR and sequence analysis,TAWAWA1(TAW1),a known regulator of rice inflorescence architecture,was identified as the candidate gene for q PLN10.A near-isogenic line,NIL-TAW1,was developed to evaluate its effects.In comparison with the recurrent parent R498,NIL-TAW1 showed increased panicle length (14.0%),number of secondary branches (20.9%) and GNP (22.0%),and the final grain yield per plant of NIL-TAW1 was increased by18.6%.Transgenic experiments showed that an appropriate expression level of TAW1 was necessary for panicle development.Haplotype analysis suggested that the favorable F771-type (Hap 13) of TAW1was introduced from aus accessions and had great potential value in high-yield breeding both in indica and japonica varieties.Our results provide a promising genetic resource for rice grain yield improvement.Hua Yuan Zhengyan Xu Xueqin Tan Peng Gao Mengya Jin Wencheng Song Shiguang Wang Yunhai Kang Peixiong Liu Bin Tu Yuping Wang Peng Qin Shigui Li Bingtian Ma Weilan Chen 2021The Crop Journal2021,9,5:2

9Complexation of radionuclide ^152+154Eu(Ⅲ) with alumina-bound fulvic acid studied by batch and time-resolved laser fluorescence spectroscopy显示文摘To contribute to the understanding of Eu(Ⅲ)interaction properties on hydrous alumina particles in the absence and presence of fulvic acid(FA),the complexation properties of Eu(Ⅲ)with hydrous alumina,FA and FA-alumina hybrids are studied by batch and time-resolved laser fluorescence spectroscopy(TRLFS)techniques.The continuous increase in the fluorescence lifetime of Eu-alumina and Eu-FA with increasing pH indicates that the complexation is accompanied by decreasing number of hydration water in the first coordination sphere of Eu(Ⅲ).Eu(Ⅲ)is adsorbed onto alumina particles as outer-sphere surface complexes of≡(Al-O)-Eu·(OH)·7H_2O and≡(Al-O)-Eu·6H_2O at low pH values,and as inner-sphere surface complexes as≡(Al-O)_2-Eu^+·4H_2O at high pH.In FA solution,Eu(Ⅲ)forms complexes with FA as(COO)_2Eu^+(H_2O)_x and the hydration water number in the first coordination sphere decreases with pH increasing.The formation of≡COO-Eu-(O-Al≡)·4H_2O is observed on FA-alumina hybrids,suggesting the formation of strong inner-sphere surface complexes in the presence of FA.The surface complexes are also characterized by their emission spectra[the ratio of emission intensities of^5D_0→~7F_1(λ=594nm)and^5D_0→~7F_2(λ=619nm)transitions]and their fluorescence lifetime.The findings is important to understand the contribution of FA in the complexation properties of Eu(Ⅲ)on FA-alumina hybrids that the clarification of the environmental behavior of humic substances is necessary to understand fully the behavior of Eu(Ⅲ),or its analogue trivalent lanthanide and actinide ions in natural environment.Xiangxue Wang Shujun Yu Zhongshan Chen Wencheng Song Yuantao Chen Tasawar Hayat Ahmed Alsaedi Wei Guo Jun Hu Xiangke Wang 2017Science China Chemistry2017,60,1:0

11Expression profiles of circulating tRNA-derived small RNAs and their potential role in diabetes显示文摘This work aimed to reveal the expression profiles of tRNA-derived small RNAs(tsRNAs)in diabetes.Methods:Thirty-five diabetes patients and thirty-three controls were enrolled.The serum samples of 4 diabetes patients and 4 controls were subjected to tRF and tiRNA polymerase chain reaction(PCR)Array analysis.Then quantitative PCR(qPCR)validation was performed on all the samples.Bioinformatics analyses were conducted to explore their functions.Results:We found 115 tsRNAs that significantly differed between the two groups.3′tiR-080-ProTGG(mt)was selected for further qPCR validation in all participants,and it was significantly decreased in diabetes patients compared with controls.Bioinformatics analysis indicated that 3′tiR-080-ProTGG(mt)may play regulatory roles via the cyclic adenosine monophosphate(cAMP)signaling pathway in the pathogenesis and progression of diabetes.Conclusion:Hence,we report that circulating tsRNAs are dysregulated that could be involved in the pathogenesis of diabetes.JING JIN XIE LI TING QIU LEI SONG YUANYUE CUI GUANGYA ZHANG SHU LI WENCHENG ZHAO 2023BIOCELL2023,47,7:0
12The etching process and mechanism analysis of Ta-Sb2Te3 film based on inductively coupled plasma显示文摘Compared to the conventional phase change materials,the new phase change material Ta-Sb2Te3 has the advantages of excellent data retention and good material stability.In this letter,the etching characteristics of Ta-Sb2Te3 were studied by using CF4/Ar.The results showed that when CF4/Ar=25/25,the etching power was 600 W and the etching pressure was 2.5 Pa,the etching speed was up to 61 nm/min.The etching pattern of Ta-Sb2Te3 film had a smooth side wall and good perpendicularity(close to 90°),smooth surface of the etching(RMS was 0.51nm),and the etching uniformity was fine.Furthermore,the mechanism of this etching process was analyzed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).The main damage mechanism of ICP etching in CF4/Ar was studied by X-ray diffraction(XRD).Yongkang Xu Sannian Song Wencheng Fang Chengxing Li Zhitang Song 2020Journal of Semiconductors2020,41,12:0
13Amplified visualization and function exploration of exosomal protein-specific glycosylation using hybridization chain reaction from non-functional epitope显示文摘Exosomal glycoproteins play significant roles in many physiological and pathological procedures. However, the current methods for studying exosomal glycoproteins have low sensitivity or can affect exosomal biological function. Herein, we developed a proximity dual-tagging strategy using an induced hybridization chain reaction(HCR) from the target’s non-functional epitope for amplified visualization and functional exploration of exosomal protein-specific glycosylation. This strategy leverages dualtagging based on the aptamer with little influence on target function and metabolic glycan labelling, and the rigid product and high sensitivity of HCR. The method improves the signal of visualizing exosomal PD-L1(exo PD-L1) by 7.7-fold compared with the signal without HCR amplification without affecting the natural exo PD-L1/PD-1 interaction. As a result, we verified that the interaction between exo PD-L1 and PD-1 positive cells is positively correlated to the glycosylation level of exo PD-L1.
