1Time-lapse geophysical technology-based study on overburden strata changes induced by modern coal mining显示文摘To study the impact of modern coal mining on overlying strata and its water bearing conditions,integrated time-lapse geophysical prospecting integrating 3D seismic,electrical and ground penetrating radar method were used.Through observing and analyzing the geophysical data variations of all stages of pre-mining,mining and post-mining as well as post-mining deposition stable period,impacts of coal mining on stratigraphic structure and its water bearing were studied and modern coal mining induced stratigraphic change pattern was summarized.The research result shows that the stratigraphic structure and the water bearing of surface layer during modern coal mining have self-healing pattern with mining time;the self-healing capability of near-surface strata is relatively strong while the roof weak;water bearing selfhealing of near-surface strata is relatively high while the roof strata adjacent to mined coal beds low.Due to integrated time-lapse geophysical prospecting technology has extra time dimension which makes up the deficiency of static analysis of conventional geophysical methods,it can better highlight the dynamic changes of modern coal mining induced overburden strata and its water bearing conditions.Wenfeng Du Suping Peng Guowei Zhu Feng Yang 2014International Journal of Coal Science & Technology2014,1,2:16
2Roles of manganese oxides in degradation of phenol under UV-Vis irradiation:Adsorption,oxidation,and photocatalysis显示文摘Manganese oxides are known as one type of semiconductors,but their photocatalysis characteristics have not been deeply explored.In this study,photocatalytic degradation of phenol using several synthesized manganese oxides,i.e,acidic birnessite (BIR-H),alkaline birnessite (BIR-OH),cryptomelane (CRY) and todorokite (TOD),were comparatively investigated.To elucidate phenol degradation mechanisms,X-ray diffraction (XRD),ICP-AES (inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectroscopy),TEM (transmission electronic microscope),N 2 physisorption at 77 K and UV-visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (UV-Vis DRS) were employed to characterize the structural,compositional,morphological,specific surface area and optical absorption properties of the manganese oxides.After 12 hr of UV-Vis irradiation,the total organic carbon (TOC) removal rate reached 62.1%,43.1%,25.4%,and 22.5% for cryptomelane,acidic birnessite,todorokite and alkaline birnessite,respectively.Compared to the reactions in the dark condition,UV- Vis exposure improved the TOC removal rates by 55.8%,31.9%,23.4% and 17.9%.This suggests a weak ability of manganese oxides to degrade phenol in the dark condition,while UV-Vis light irradiation could significantly enhance phenol degradation.The manganese minerals exhibited photocatalytic activities in the order of:CRY > BIR-H > TOD > BIR-OH.There may be three possible mechanisms for photochemical degradation:(1) direct photolysis of phenol;(2) direct oxidation of phenol by manganese oxides;(3) photocatalytic oxidation of phenol by manganese oxides.Photocatalytic oxidation of phenol appeared to be the dominant mechanism.Qin Zhang Xiaodi Cheng Chen Zheng Xionghan Feng Guohong Qiu Wenfeng Tan Fan Liu 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,11:11
3Relation of lead adsorption on birnessites with different average oxidation states of manganese and release of Mn^(2+)/H^+/K^+显示文摘The characteristics of Pb2+ adsorption on the surface of birnessites with different average oxidation states (AOS) of Mn, synthesized under acidic and alkali conditions, were investigated. The results indicated that the amount of adsorbed Pb2+ increased with the increase of Mn AOS in birnessites. The amount of Pb2+ adsorbed positively correlated with the amount of released Mn2+, H+, and K+ (r = 0.9962 > 0.6614, n = 14, α = 0.01). The released Mn2+, H+, and K+ were derived mostly from the corresponding cations adsorbed on the vacant sites. 4Dual quaternion based virtual hand interaction modeling显示文摘Virtual hands play key roles in three-dimensional interaction in various virtual reality applications.However,their visual realism has seldom been seriously discussed in the community of human computer interaction,not to mention the challenging balance between their visual/motion realism and real-time performance.In this paper,a novel approach for virtual hand interaction modeling based on dual quaternion is proposed.Specifically,dual quaternion blending(DQB) is introduced as pseudo muscular layer of our virtual hand model instead of traditional linear blending(LB) and quaternion blending(QB) due to its advantages in muscular deformation.A framework for virtual hand interaction is proposed which supports both gesture interactions and 3D manipulations.Experimental results show that our proposed virtual hand interaction model is suitable for most virtual reality applications and achieves good visual/motion realism while maintains real-time performance.CHEN WenFeng ZHU ShuJing WAN HuaGen FENG JieQing 2013Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,3:6
5Evaluation of the safety and efficacy of a Pipeline Flex embolization device for treatment of large, wide-necked intracranial aneurysms显示文摘Objective: To investigate the safety and effectiveness of the Pipeline Flex embolization device(PFED) in the treatment of large and wide-necked aneurysms in the internal carotid artery(ICA). Methods: The clinical data of 78 cases of large and wide-necked aneurysms in the ICA treated with this Pipeline Flex embolization device in Shanghai Hospital of the Second Military Medical University and Southern Hospital of Southern Medical University from February 2017 to June 2018 were retrospectively analyzed. Results: A total of 66 cases were treated with a Pipeline Flex embolization device, 10 with a pipeline flex embolization device, and 2 with a double tubride stent(10 patients were treated with a pipeline stent-assisted coil embolization in; and 2 patients were treated with two pipeline stents). The patients were followed up for 3 to 18 months(average, 9.25 months). Among them, 63 cases had complete occlusion of the neck of the aneurysm(Raymondl Class I; MRS score 0; 80.8%). Aneurysms recurred in 12 cases(Raymondl Class Ⅱ; MRS score 1; 15.4%). Delayed ischemic complications were observed in 1 case(MRS score >2; 0.13%). There was 1 case of poor release of stent and 1 case of stent stenosis(0.13%). Conclusion: The treatment of large, wide-necked aneurysms in the ICA with PFED has a high total occlusion rate and good prognosis was better than coil embolization, but the placement of PFED still has some neurological complications.Qiao Deng Wenfeng Feng Huanqi Hai Jianming Liu 2018Journal of Interventional Medicine2018,1,4:5
6Effects of Al^(3+)doping on the structure and properties of goethite and its adsorption behavior towards phosphate显示文摘Al substitution in goethite is common in soils, and has strong influence on the structure and physicochemical properties of goethite. In this research, a series of Al-doped goethites were synthesized, and characterized by powder X-ray diffraction(XRD), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR) and extended X-ray absorption fine structure(EXAFS)spectroscopy. The adsorption behavior of these samples towards PO43-was also investigated. Characterization results demonstrated that increasing Al content in goethite led to a reduction in crystallinity, increase in specific surface area(SSA), and morphology change from needle-like to granular. Rietveld structure refinement revealed that the lattice parameter a remained almost constant and b slightly decreased, but c was significantly reduced, and the calculated crystal density increased. EXAFS analysis demonstrated that the Fe(Al)–O distance in the structure of the doped goethites was almost the same, but the Fe–Fe(Al) distance decreased with increasing Al content. Surface analysis showed that, with increasing Al content, the content of OH groups on the mineral surface increased. The adsorption of phosphate per unit mass of Al-doped goethite increased, while adsorption per unit area decreased owing to the decrease of the relative proportion of(110) facets in the total surface area of the minerals. 8Distributed Contact Plan Design for Multi-Layer Satellite-Terrestrial Network显示文摘In multi-layer satellite-terrestrial network, Contact Graph Routing(CGR) uses the contact information among satellites to compute routes. However, due to the resource constraints in satellites, it is extravagant to configure lots of the potential contacts into contact plans. What's more, a huge contact plan makes the computing more complex, which further increases computing time. As a result, how to design an efficient contact plan becomes crucial for multi-layer satellite network, which usually has a large scaled topology. In this paper, we propose a distributed contact plan design scheme for multi-layer satellite network by dividing a large contact plan into several partial parts. Meanwhile, a duration based inter-layer contact selection algorithm is proposed to handle contacts disruption problem. The performance of the proposed design was evaluated on our Identifier/Locator split based satellite-terrestrial network testbed with 79 simulation nodes. 9Oxidation of As^Ⅲ by Several Manganese Oxide Minerals in Absence and Presence of Goethite显示文摘Oxidation of AsⅢ by three types of manganese oxide minerals affected by goethite was investigated by chemical analysis, equilibrium redox, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Three synthesized Mn oxide minerals of different types, birnessite, todorokite, and hausmannite, could actively oxidize AsⅢ to AsⅤ, and greatly varied in their oxidation ability. Layer structured birnessite exhibited the highest capacity of AsⅢ oxidation, followed by the tunnel structured todorokite. Lower oxide hausmannite possessed much low capacity of AsⅢ oxidation, and released more Mn2+ than birnessite and todorokite during the oxidation. The maximum amount of AsⅤ produced during the oxidation of AsⅢ by Mn oxide minerals was in the order: birnessite (480.4 mmol/kg) > todorokite (279.6 mmol/kg) > hausmannite (117.9 mmol/kg). The oxidation capacity of the Mn oxide minerals was found to be relative to the composition, crystallinity, and surface properties. In the presence of goethite oxidation of AsⅢ by Mn oxide minerals increased, with maximum amounts of AsⅤ being 651.0 mmol/kg for birnessite, 332.3 mmol/kg for todorokite and 159.4 mmol/kg for hausmannite. Goethite promoted AsⅢ oxidation on the surface of Mn oxide minerals through adsorption of the AsⅤ produced, incurring the decrease of AsⅤ concentration in solutions. 11Highly efficient acousto-optic modulation using nonsuspended thin-fil1m lithium niobate-chalcogenide hybrid waveguides显示文摘A highly efficient on-chip acousto-optic modulator is as a key component and occupies an exceptional position in microwave-to-optical conversion.Homogeneous thin-film lithium niobate is preferentially employed to build the suspended configuration for the acoustic resonant cavity,with the aim of improving the modulation efficiency of the device.However,the limited cavity length and complex fabrication recipe of the suspended prototype restrain further breakthroughs in modulation efficiency and impose challenges for waveguide fabrication.In this work,based on a nonsuspended thin-film lithium niobate-chalcogenide glass hybrid Mach-Zehnder interferometer waveguide platform,we propose and demonstrate a built-in push-pull acousto-optic modulator with a half-wave-voltage-length product VnL as low as 0.03 V cm that presents a modulation efficiency comparable to that of a state-of-the-art suspended counterpart.A microwave modulation link is demonstrated using our developed built-in push-pull acousto-optic modulator,which has the advantage of low power consumption.The nontrivial acousto-optic modulation performance benefits from the superior photoelastic property of the chalcogenide membrane and the completely bidirectional participation of the antisymmetric Rayleigh surface acoustic wave mode excited by the impedance-matched interdigital transducer,overcoming the issue of low modulation efficiency induced by the incoordinate energy attenuation of acoustic waves applied to the Mach-Zehnder interferometer with two arms in traditional push-pull acousto-optic modulators.Lei Wan Zhiqiang Yang Wenfeng Zhou Meixun Wen Tianhua Feng Siqing Zeng Dong Liu Huan Li Jingshun Ppan Ning Zhu Weiping Liu Zhaohui Li 2022Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,6:2

16Precisely quantifying bulk transition metal valence evolution in conventional battery electrode by inverse partial fluorescence yield显示文摘Precisely quantifying transition metal(TM) redox in bulk is a key to understand the fundamental of optimizing cathode materials in secondary batteries. At present, the commonly used methods to probe TM redox are hard X-ray absorption spectroscopy(hXAS) and soft X-ray absorption spectroscopy(sXAS).However, they are both facing challenges to precisely quantify the valence states of some transition metals such as Mn. In this paper, Mn-L iPFY(inverse partial fluorescence yield) spectra extracted from Mn-L m RIXS(mapping of resonant inelastic X-ray scattering) is adopted to quantify Mn valence states. Mn-L i PFY spectra has been considered as a bulk-sensitive, non-distorted probe of TM valence states.However, the exact precision of this method is still unclear in quantifying practical battery electrodes.Herein, a series of LiMn_(2)O_(4) electrodes with different charge and discharge states are prepared. Based on their electrochemical capacity(generally considered to be very precise), the precision of Mn iPFY in quantifying bulk Mn valence state is confirmed, and the error range is unraveled. 17Comparison of the Pipeline embolisation device alone or combined with coiling for treatment of different sizes of intracranial aneurysms显示文摘Objectives The aim of this study was to compare complications and outcomes between intracranial aneurysms treated with the Pipeline embolisation device(PED)alone or with PED combined with coiling for different-sized aneurysms.Method Patients with aneurysms treated by PED were collected from the PED in China postmarket multicentre registry study.We performed a propensity match analysis to compare the efficacy and safety between PED alone and PED combined with coiling treatment,and then aneurysms were organised into three groups based on their size:small(≤7 mm),medium(≤15 mm to>7 mm)and large/giant(>15 mm).Complications and aneurysm occlusion rates in the aneurysm size groups were compared between PED alone and PED combined with coiling patients.Result A total of 1171 patients with 1322 aneurysms were included.All patients received clinical follow-up,while angiographic follow-up was available in 967 aneurysms.For small aneurysms,there was no difference in the aneurysm occlusion rate between two groups(79.1%vs 88.4%,respectively),while there was a significant increase in the ischaemic complication rate(8.3%vs 19.3%,respectively,p=0.0001).For medium and large/giant saccular aneurysms,PED combined with coiling significantly improved the occlusion rate(medium aneurysms:74.7%vs 88.8%,respectively,p<0.0001;large/giant saccular aneurysms:72.9%vs 86.9%,respectively,p=0.018),while there were no differences in the total complication rate.For large/giant non-saccular aneurysms,two groups showed no differences.Conclusion Use of the PED with adjunctive coils can significantly improve the occlusion rate of medium aneurysms,without increasing the total complication rate.Chao Wang Bin Luo Tianxiao Li Aisha Maimaitili Guohua Mao Donglei Song Yunyan Wang Wenfeng Feng Yang Wang Huaizhang Shi Jieqing Wan Jianmin Liu Sheng Guan Yuanli Zhao Hongqi Zhang 2022Stroke & Vascular Neurology2022,7,4:1
18Manganese-Based Lithium-Ion Battery: Mn_(3)O_(4) Anode Versus LiNi_(0.5)Mn_(1.5)O_(4) Cathode显示文摘Lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)are widely used in portable consumer electronics,clean energy storage,and electric vehicle applications.However,challenges exist for LIBs,including high costs,safety issues,limited Li resources,and manufacturingrelated pollution.In this paper,a novel manganese-based lithium-ion battery with a LiNi_(0.5)Mn_(1.5)O_(4) ‖ Mn_(3)O_(4) structure is reported that is mainly composed of environmental friendly manganese compounds,where Mn_(3)O_(4) and LiNi_(0.5)Mn_(1.5)O_(4) (LNMO)are adopted as the anode and cathode materials,respectively.The proposed structure improves battery safety and reduce costs compared with current battery technology,provides comparable energy density with that of traditional graphite-based batteries.First,the characteristics and the electrochemical performances of the Mn_(3)O_(4) anode and the LNMO cathode are investigated separately against Li metal in half cell configurations,with promising performances being demonstrated by both electrodes.Then,a full cell structure with Mn_(3)O_(4) against LNMO is constructed that provides an average discharge voltage of 3.5 V and an initial specific capacity of 86.2 mA;h;g−1.More importantly,the electrochemical performance of the LNMO‖ Mn_(3)O_(4) full cell and its possible decay mechanisms are discussed systemically;and efficient strategies are proposed to further improve both the electrochemical performance of Mn_(3)O_(4) and the stability of LNMO.Wenfeng Mao Wei Yue Feng Pei Xiaochen Zhao Xiangdong Huang Guo Ai 2020Automotive Innovation2020,3,2:1
