1A draft sequence of the rice (Oryza sativa ssp. indica) genome显示文摘The sequence of the rice genome holds fundamental information for its biology, including physiology, genetics, development, and evolution, as well as information on many beneficial phenotypes of economic significance. Using a 'whole genome shotgun' approach, we have pro-duced a draft rice genome sequence of Oryza sativa ssp. in-dica, the major crop rice subspecies in China and many other regions of Asia. The draft genome sequence is constructed from over 4.3 million successful sequencing traces with an accumulative total length of 2214.9 Mb. The initial assembly of the non-redundant sequences reached 409.76 Mb in length, based on 3.30 million successful sequencing traces with a total length of 1797.4 Mb from an indica variant cultivar 93-11, giving an estimated coverage of 95.29% of the rice genome with an average base accuracy of higher than 99%. 2Analysis of the ore-controlling structure of the Shihu gold deposit, Hebei Province and deep-seated ore-prospecting prediction显示文摘Under the guidance of the theory of mantle-branch structure-associated metallogenesis and on the basis of the geological characteristics, analysis of the ore-forming and ore-controlling structures, the geochemical characteristics of metallogenesis, the source of ore-forming materials, changes in the physical and chemical conditions of metallogenesis, changes in the vertical width of ore veins, and changes in gold grade of the Shihu gold deposit, the mechanism of its metallogenesis was discussed and the rules of vertical variation of ore veins were summarized in this study. It is pointed out that the orebodies under exploitation at present time should be in the middle and upper portions of gold veins in the Shihu gold mining district. Particularly on the basis of the characteristics of mantle-branch structure-associated metallogenesis, it is indicated that metallogenesis is controlled mainly by such ore-forming conditions as temperature and pressure. Deep-seated ore-forming fluids are characterized mainly by injection and precipitation. So the vein bodies in the adjacent metallogenic structures are of obvious comparability, and there would be great prospects for ore search both at depth and in the periphery of the Shihu gold deposit. 3Strong dual-crosslinked hydrogels for ultrasound-triggered drug delivery显示文摘Hydrogels that can respond to dynamic forces either from endogenous biological activities or from external mechanical stimuli show great promise as novel drug delivery systems (DDS).However,it remains challenging to engineer hydrogels that specifically respond to externally applied mechanical forces with minimal basel drug leakage under normal stressful physiological conditions.Here we present an ultrasound responsive hydrogel-based DDS with special dual-crosslinked nanoscale network architecture.The covalent crosslinks endow the hydrogel high mechanical stability and greatly suppress deformation-triggered drug release.Meanwhile,the dynamic covalent boronate ester linkages between hydrogel backbone and the anti-inflammation compound,tannic acid (TA),allow effective ultrasound-triggered pulsetile release of TA.As such,the hydrogel shows distinct drug release profiles under compression and ultrasound.A proof-of-principle demonstration of the suppression of inflammation activation of macrophage upon ultrasound-triggered release of TA was also illustrated.We anticipate that this novel hydrogel-based drug delivery system can be used for the treatment of inflammatory diseases on load-bearing tissues,such as muscle and cartilage.Wenxu Sun Heting Jiang Xin Wu Zhengyu Xu Chen Yao Juan Wang Meng Qin Qing Jiang Wei Wang Dongquan Shi Yi Cao 2019Nano Research2019,12,1:3
4Polysaccharides from Agrocybe cylindracea residue alleviate type 2-diabetes-induced liver and colon injuries by p38 MAPK signaling pathway显示文摘In this experiment,we investigated the possible mechanism of polysaccharides from Agrocybe cylindracea residue (PACR) on ameliorating the type-2-diabetes-induced liver and colon injuries.Animal experiments have proved that PACR could reduce the oxidative damage and inflammatory response.Meanwhile,the PACR could restore lipid levels,decrease the level of liver and colon lesions in injured mice,and finally play a role in protecting liver and colon.The results showed that PACR could be used as a supplement to decrease blood glucose and relieve T2DM and reduce oxidative stress and inflammatory response by inhibiting the activation of p38 MAPK signaling pathway.Wenxue Sun Yaohan Zhang Le Jia 2022Food Bioscience2022,47,3:2
5Two Ultraviolet Radiation Datasets that Cover China显示文摘Ultraviolet(UV) radiation has significant effects on ecosystems, environments, and human health, as well as atmospheric processes and climate change. Two ultraviolet radiation datasets are described in this paper. One contains hourly observations of UV radiation measured at 40 Chinese Ecosystem Research Network stations from 2005 to 2015. CUV3 broadband radiometers were used to observe the UV radiation, with an accuracy of 5%, which meets the World Meteorology Organization's measurement standards. The extremum method was used to control the quality of the measured datasets. The other dataset contains daily cumulative UV radiation estimates that were calculated using an all-sky estimation model combined with a hybrid model. The reconstructed daily UV radiation data span from 1961 to 2014. The mean absolute bias error and root-mean-square error are smaller than 30% at most stations, and most of the mean bias error values are negative, which indicates underestimation of the UV radiation intensity. These datasets can improve our basic knowledge of the spatial and temporal variations in UV radiation. 19A Holistic Energy-Efficient Approach for a Processor-Memory System显示文摘Component overclocking is an effective approach to speed up the components of a system to realize a higher program performance; it includes processor overclocking or memory overclocking. However, overclocking will unavoidably result in increase in power consumption. Our goal is to optimally improve the performance of scientific computing applications without increasing the total power consumption for a processor-memory system. We built a processor-memory energy efficiency model for multicore-based systems, which coordinates the performance and power of processor and memory. Our model exploits performance boost opportunities for a processor-memory system by adopting processor overclocking, processor Dynamic Voltage and Frequency Scaling(DVFS), memory active ratio adjustment, and memory overclocking, according to different scientific applications.This model also provides a total power control method by considering the same four factors mentioned above. We propose a processor and memory Coordination-based holistic Energy-Efficient(CEE) algorithm, which achieves performance improvement without increasing the total power consumption. The experimental results show that an average of 9.3% performance improvement was obtained for all 14 benchmarks. Meanwhile the total power consumption does not increase.
