1Far-red light: A regulator of plant morphology and photosynthetic capacity显示文摘Plant photosynthetic capacity directly determines crop yield. Light quality regulates photosynthetic capacity. This review discusses plant responses to far-red light from the phenotypic to the molecular level, focusing specifically on the improvement of photosynthetic capacity by adjustment of photosynthetic electron transport and the path of light energy. Far-red light can also regulate leaf angle and increase plant height and leaf area, via expression of associated genes, to capture more light energy.Thus, far-red light regulates plant morphology and photosynthetic capacity. 3A review of the shale wellbore stability mechanism based on mechanicalechemical coupling theories显示文摘Wellbore instability in hard brittle shale is a critical topic related to the effective exploitation of shale gas resources.This review first introduces the physicalechemical coupling theories applied in shale wellbore stability research,including total water absorption method,equivalent pore pressure method,elasticity incremental method of total water potential and non-equilibrium thermodynamic method.Second,the influences of water activity,membrane efficiency,clay content and drilling fluid on shale wellbore instability are summarized.Results demonstrate that shale and drilling fluid interactions can be the critical factors affecting shale wellbore stability.The effects of thermodynamics and electrochemistry may also be considered in the future,especially the microscopic reaction of shale and drilling fluid interactions.An example of this reaction is the chemical reaction between shale components and drilling fluid.Qiangui Zhang Wenyu Jia Xiangyu Fan Yongchang Liang Yang Yang 2015Petroleum2015,1,2:4
4Petrogenesis of Kejie Granite in the Northern Changning-Menglian Zone, Western Yunnan: Constraints from Zircon U-Pb Geochronology, Geochemistry and Hf Isotope显示文摘The Kejie pluton is located in the north of the Changning-Menglian suture zone. The rock types are mainly biotite-granite. Zircon LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating indicates that the Kejie pluton emplaced at about 80–77 Ma, Late Cretaceous. The Kejie pluton samples are characterized by high SiO2(71.68%–72.47%), K2O(4.73%–5.54%), total alkali(K2O + Na2O = 8.21%–8.53%), K2O/Na2O ratios(1.36–1.94) and low P2O5(0.13%–0.17%), with A/CNK of 1.025–1.055; enriched in U, Th, and K, depleted in Ba, Nb, Sr, Ti, P and Eu. They are highly fractionated, slightly peraluminous I-type granite. The two samples of the Kejie pluton give a large variation of εHf(t) values(-5.04 to 1.96) and Hf isotope crustal model ages of 1.16–1.5 Ga. Zircon Hf isotopes and zircon saturation temperatures of whole-rock(801°C–823°C) show that the mantle-derived materials maybe have played a vital role in the generation of the Kejie pluton. 5Characterization of dissolved organic matter and membrane fouling in coagulation-ultrafiltration process treating micro-polluted surface water显示文摘Coagulation–ultrafiltration(C–UF) is widely used for surface water treatment. With the removal of pollutants, the characteristics of organic matter change and affect the final treatment efficiency and the development of membrane fouling. In this study, we built a dynamic C–UF set-up to carry out the treatment of micro-polluted surface water, to investigate the characteristics of dissolved organic matter from different units. The influences of poly aluminum chloride and poly dimethyldiallylammonium chloride(PDMDAAC) on removal efficiency and membrane fouling were also investigated. Results showed that the dosage of PDMDAAC evidently increased the UV254 and dissolved organic carbon removal efficiencies,and thereby alleviated membrane fouling in the C–UF process. Most hydrophobic bases(HoB)and hydrophobic neutral fractions could be removed by coagulation. Similarly, UF was good at removing HoB compared to hydrophilic substances(HiS) and hydrophobic acid(HoA)fractions. HiS and HoA fractions with low molecule weight accumulated on the surface of the membrane, causing the increase of transmembrane pressure(TMP). 7The luminescence properties of Sr_3Gd(BO_3)_3:Tb^(3+) phosphors under vacuum ultraviolet excitation显示文摘Tb3+-activated Sr3Gd(BO3)3 green phosphors were prepared by conventional solid-state reaction. The vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) excitation, photoluminescence (PL) and decay properties of the phosphors in the visible range were investigated. The excitation spectrum showed a strong broad band from 160 to 200 nm with a maximum at 183 nm which was adjacent to the VUV excitation light source of 172 nm. Under excitation at 172 nm, the optimum co-doping concentration of Tb3+ was 10 mol%, and the emission intensity of Sr3Gd0.9(BO3)3:0.1Tb3+ was comparable to that of commercial Zn2SiO4:Mn2+. The strongest emission peak of Sr3Gd0.9(BO3)3:0.1Tb3+ was at 543 nm with chromaticity coordinates of (0.2626, 0.4922) and a lifetime of 2.32 ms. 10Alp7-Mtol and Alpl4 synergize to promote interphase microtubule regrowth from the nuclear envelope显示文摘Microtubules grow not only from the centrosome but also from various noncentrosomal microtubule-organizing centers(MTOCs),including the nuclear envelope(NE)and pre-existing microtubules.The evolutionarily conserved proteins Mtol/CDK5RAP2 and Alpl4/TOG/XMAP215 have been shown to be involved in promoting microtubule nucleation.However,it has remained elusive as to how the microtubule nucleation promoting factors are specified to various noncentrosomal MTOCs,particularly the NE,and how these proteins coordinate to organize microtubule assembly.Here,we demonstrate that in the fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe,efficient interphase microtubule growth from the NE requires Alp7/TACC,Alpl4/TOG/XMAP215,and Mtol/CDK5RAP2.The absence of Alp7,A lp l4 t or Mtol compromises microtubule regrowth on the NE in cells undergoing microtubule repolymerization.We further demonstrate that Alp7 and Mtol interdependently localize to the NE in cells without microtubules and that A lp l4 localizes to the NE in an Alp7 and Mtol-dependent manner.Tethering Mtol to the NE in cells lacking Alp7 partially restores microtubule number and the efficiency of microtubule generation from the NE.Hence,our study delineates that Alp7,A lpl4,and Mtol work in concert to regulate interphase microtubule regrowth on the NE.Wenyue Liu Fan Zheng Yucai Wang Chuanhai Fu 2019Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2019,11,11:1

12High-resolution visible imaging with piezoelectric deformable secondary mirror: experimental results at the 1.8-m adaptive telescope显示文摘Integrating deformable mirrors within the optical train of an adaptive telescope was one of the major innovations in astronomical observation technology,distinguished by its high optical throughput,reduced optical surfaces,and the incorporation of the deformable mirror.Typically,voice-coil actuators are used,which require additional position sensors,internal control electronics,and cooling systems,leading to a very complex structure.Piezoelectric deformable secondary mirror technologies were proposed to overcome these problems.Recently,a high-order piezoelectric deformable secondary mirror has been developed and installed on the 1.8-m telescope at Lijiang Observatory in China to make it an adaptive telescope.The system consists of a 241-actuator piezoelectric deformable secondary mirror,a 192-sub-aperture Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor,and a multi-core-based real-time controller.The actuator spacing of the PDSM measures 19.3 mm,equivalent to approximately 12.6 cm when mapped onto the primary mirror,significantly less than the voicecoil-based adaptive telescopes such as LBT,Magellan and VLT.As a result,stellar images with Strehl ratios above 0.49 in the R band have been obtained.To our knowledge,these are the highest R band images captured by an adaptive telescope with deformable secondary mirrors.Here,we report the system description and on-sky performance of this adaptive telescope.Youming Guo Kele Chen Jiahui Zhou Zhengdai Li Wenyu Han Xuejun Rao Hua Bao Jinsheng Yang Xinlong Fan Changhui Rao 2023Opto-Electronic Advances2023,6,12:1

15Oxygen-doped Carbon Nitride Nanocages with Efficient Photon-to-Electron Conversion for Selective Oxidation of Xylose/Xylan to Yield Xylonic Acid显示文摘Highly efficient photon-to-electron conversion is crucial for achieving photocatalytic conversion.In this study,oxygen-doped carbon nitride nanocages(O@CNNCs)were engineered via dual strategies of morphology-controlled heteroatom doping,which was successfully used in the photocatalytic selective oxidation of xylose/xylan to xylonic acid.The nanocage-shaped O@CNNCs had a larger surface area,which was 4.02 times of carbon nitride(CN).Furthermore,with the assistance of morphology regulation and O-doping,O@CNNCs exhibit highly efficient photon-to-electron conversion,enhanced visible-light utilization,high photocurrent,low resistance,and fast separation/migration of electron-hole pairs.Correspondingly,the photocatalytic oxidation of xylose to xylonic acid using O@CNNCs was successfully achieved under mild reaction conditions with a yield of 83.4%.O@CNNCs have excellent recyclability,in which the yield of xylonic acid in the 5th cycle was 98.2%of its initial use.The O@CNNC photocatalytic system was also suitable for macromolecular xylan,and a xylonic acid yield of 77.34 mg was obtained when 100 mg xylan was used.The oxidation-active species captured experiments indicated that holes were crucial for the selective oxidation of xylose to xylonic acid.Overall,this study provides a new strategy for the preparation of photocatalysts with excellent photon-to-electron conversion and selective oxidation of biomass-derived feedstocks to xylonic acid.Junqiang Zhang Zhuoyan Xie Zulfiqar Ali Ning Li Qimeng Liu Wenyue Fan Jiliang Ma Runcang Sun 2023Paper And Biomaterials2023,8,2:0
16Targeting FAPα-positive lymph node metastatic tumor cells suppresses colorectal cancer metastasis显示文摘Lymphatic metastasis is the main metastatic route for colorectal cancer, which increases the risk of cancer recurrence and distant metastasis. The properties of the lymph node metastatic colorectal cancer(LNM-CRC) cells are poorly understood, and effective therapies are still lacking. Here, we found that hypoxia-induced fibroblast activation protein alpha(FAPα) expression in LNM-CRC cells. Gain-or loss-function experiments demonstrated that FAPα enhanced tumor cell migration, invasion, epithelial-mesenchymal transition, stemness, and lymphangiogenesis via activation of the STAT3 pathway. In addition, FAPα in tumor cells induced extracellular matrix remodeling and established an immunosuppressive environment via recruiting regulatory T cells, to promote colorectal cancer lymph node metastasis(CRCLNM). Z-GP-DAVLBH, a FAPα-activated prodrug, inhibited CRCLNM by targeting FAPα-positive LNM-CRC cells. 17Automatic extraction method of force chain information and its application in the flow photoelastic experiment of granular matter显示文摘The force chain is the core of the multi-scale analysis of granular matter.Accurately extracting the force chain information among particles is of great significance to the study of particle mechanics and geological hazards caused by particle flow.However,in the photoelastic experiment,the precise identification of the branching points of force chains has not been effectively realized.Therefore,this study proposes an automatic extraction method of force chain key information.First,based on the Hough transform and the Euclidean distance,a particle geometric information identification model is established and geometric information such as particle circle center coordinates,radius,contact point location,and contact angle is extracted.Then,a particle contact force information identification model is established following the color gradient mean square method.The model realizes the rapid calibration and extraction of a large number of particle media contact force information.Next,combined with the force chain composition criterion and its quasilinear feature,an automatic extraction method of force chain information is established,which solves the problem of the accurate identification of the force chain branch points.Finally,in the photoelastic experiment of ore drawing from a single drawpoint,the automatic extraction method of force chain information is verified.The results show that the macroscopic distribution of force chains during ore drawing from a single drawpoint is left–right symmetrical.Strong force chains are mostly located on the two sides of the model but in small numbers and they mainly develop vertically.Additionally,the ends are mostly in a combination of Y and inverted Y shapes,while the middle is mostly quasilinear.Weak force chains are abundant and mostly distributed in the middle of the model,and develop in different directions.The proposed extraction method accurately extracts the force chain network from the photoelastic experiment images and dynamically characterizes the force chains of granular matter,which has significant advantages in particle geometry information extraction,force chain branch point discrimination,force chain retrieval,and force chain distribution and its azimuthal characterization.The results provide a scientific basis for studying the macroscopic and microscopic mechanical parameters of granular matter.Qingfa Chen Enlin Long Wenjing Niu Jun Liu Wenyu Fan Hangyu Li 2023Particuology2023,,12:0
183-D Edge-Oriented Electrocatalytic NiCo_(2)S_(4)Nanoflakes on Vertical Graphene for Li-S Batteries显示文摘Polysulfide shuttle effect,causing extremely low Coulombic efficiency and cycling stability,is one of the toughest challenges hindering the development of practical lithium sulfur batteries(LSBs).Introducing catalytic nanostructures to stabilize the otherwise soluble polysulfides and promote their conversion to solids has been proved to be an effective strategy in attacking this problem,but the heavy mass of catalysts often results in a low specific energy of the whole electrode.Herein,by designing and synthesizing a free-standing edge-oriented NiCo_(2)S_(4)/vertical graphene functionalized carbon nanofiber(NCS/EOG/CNF)thin film as a catalytic overlayer incorporated in the sulfur cathode,the polysulfide shuttle effect is largely alleviated,revealed by the enhanced electrochemical performance measurements and the catalytic function demonstration.Different from other reports,the NiCo_(2)S_(4)nanosheets synthesized here have a 3-D edge-oriented structure with fully exposed edges and easily accessible in-plane surfaces,thus providing a high density of active sites even with a small mass.The EOG/CNF scaffold further renders the high conductivity in the catalytic structure.Combined,this novel structure,with high sulfur loading and high sulfur fraction,leads to high-performance sulfur cathodes toward a practical LSB technology.Wenyue Li Shiqi Li Ayrton A.Bernussi Zhaoyang Fan 2021Energy Material Advances2021,,1:0
