| 1 | Cropland redistribution to marginal lands undermines environmental sustainability显示文摘Cropland redistribution to marginal land has been reported worldwide;however,the resulting impacts on environmental sustainability have not been investigated sufficiently.Here we investigated the environmental impacts of cropland redistribution in China.As a result of urbanization-induced loss of high-quality croplands in south China(~8.5 t ha^(-1)),croplands expanded to marginal lands in northeast(~4.5 t ha^(-1)) and northwest China(~2.9 t ha^(-1)) during 1990-2015 to pursue food security.However,the reclamation in these low-yield and ecologically vulnerable zones considerably undermined local environmental sustainability,for example increasing wind erosion(+3.47%),irrigation water consumption(+34.42%),fertilizer use(+20.02%) and decreasing natural habitats(-3.11%).Forecasts show that further reclamation in marginal lands per current policies would exacerbate environmental costs by 2050.The future cropland security risk will be remarkably intensified because of the conflict between food production and environmental sustainability.Our research suggests that globally emerging reclamation of marginal lands should be restricted and crop yield boost should be encouraged for both food security and environmental benefits. | Wenhui Kuang Jiyuan Liu Hanqin Tian Hao Shi Jinwei Dong Changqing Song Xiaoyong Li Guoming Du Yali Hou Dengsheng Lu Wenfeng Chi Tao Pan Shuwen Zhang Rafiq Hamdi Zherui Yin Huimin Yan Changzhen Yan Shixin Wu Rendong Li Jiuchun Yang Yinyin Dou Wenbin Wu Liqiao Liang Bao Xiang Shiqi Yang | 2022 | National Science Review2022,9,1: | 13 |
| 2 | Circular BANP knockdown inhibits the malignant progression of residual hepatocellular carcinoma after insufficient radiofrequency ablation显示文摘Background:Circular RNAs(circRNAs)are endogenous non-coding RNAs,some of which have pathological roles.The current study aimed to explore the role of circRNA BTG3-associated nuclear protein(circ-BANP)binding with let-7f-5p and its regulation of the toll-like receptor 4(TLR4)/signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3)signaling pathway in residual hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)after insufficient radiofrequency ablation(RFA).Methods:Circ-BANP,let-7f-5p,and TLR4 expressions in HCC samples were assessed using reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR)and Western blotting.Bioinformatics prediction,RNA pull-down assay,and dual luciferase reporter gene assay were used to analyze the relationships among circ-BANP,let-7f-5p,and TLR4.Huh7 cells were used to generate an in vitro model of residual HCC,defined as Huh7-H cells,which were transfected with either a plasmid or the sequence of circ-BANP,let-7f-5p,or TLR4.Expression of circ-BANP,let-7f-5p,and TLR4 mRNA was determined by RT-qPCR.TLR4,STAT3,p-STAT3,vascular endothelial growth factor A,vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-2,and epithelialmesenchymal transformation(EMT)-related factors proteins were determined by Western blotting.Cell proliferation was determined by cell counting kit-8 and 5-Ethynyl-2’-deoxyuridine(EdU)assay and cell migration and invasion by Transwell assay.Animal studies were performed by inducing xenograft tumors in nude mice.Results:Circ-BANP and TLR4 mRNAs were upregulated in HCC tissues(the fold change for circ-BANP was 1.958 and that for TLR4 was 1.736 relative to para-tumors)and expression further increased following insufficient RFA(fold change for circBANP was 2.407 and that of TLR4 was 2.224 relative to para-tumors).Expression of let-7f-5p showed an opposite tendency(fold change for let-7f-5p in HCC tissues was 0.491 and that in tumors after insufficient RFA was 0.300 relative to paratumors).Competitive binding of circ-BANP to let-7f-5p was demonstrated and TLR4 was identified as a target of let-7f-5p(P<0.01).Knockdown of circ-BANP or elevation of let-7f-5p expression inhibited the TLR4/STAT3 signaling pathway,proliferation,invasion,migration,angiogenesis,and EMT in Huh7 and Huh7-H cells(P<0.01).The effects induced by circBANP knockdown were reversed by let-7f-5p inhibition.Overexpression of TLR4 reversed the impact of let-7f-5p upregulation on the cells(P<0.01).Silencing of circ-BANP inhibited the in vivo growth of residual HCC cells after insufficient RFA(P<0.01).Conclusions:Knockdown of circ-BANP upregulated let-7f-5p to inhibit proliferation,migration,and EMT formation in residual HCC remaining after insufficient RFA.Effects occur via regulation of the TLR4/STAT3 signaling pathway. | Guoming Li Jian Kong Shuying Dong Haigang Niu Shilun Wu Wenbing Sun | 2022 | Chinese Medical Journal2022,,13: | 2 |

| 5 | Review of flash sintering with strong electric field显示文摘Flash sintering is a novel field‐assisted sintering technology for ceramics that allows a dramatic reduction in processing time and temperature.Since 2010,when flash sintering was first reported,it has been a focus of research interest in the field of materials science.Recent study results have confirmed that the sintering temperature decreases with the strength of the applied electric field;for some ceramics,the sintering temperature can be lowered even to room temperature.This represents an innovative breakthrough for ceramic sintering at ultra‐low temperatures.However,once the electric field strength in flash sintering is increased,new questions and challenges arise,such as whether or not partial discharge occurs in the green body if under electro‐thermal coupling stress,how to quantitatively analyse the impact of discharge on sintering,and,moreover,whether the sintering mechanism under a strong electric field is consistent with that under a weak electric field.These research questions require knowledge of partial discharge detection,dielectric theory,and other topics that are beyond the scope of materials science.To address this need,this review summarises the work carried out in flash sintering with a strong electric field from the perspective of high voltage and insulation technology.First,the flash sintering process and mechanism are briefly introduced.Then,the published literature on flash sintering with a strong electric field for various ceramic materials is summarised in depth.In addition,experimental phenomena that are observed in flash sintering with a strong electric field,such as flash and blackening,are discussed.Finally,some suggestions for future work are presented.It is anticipated that the knowledge gap between different areas of study can be filled by this review. | Hongyang Zhou Xiang Li Yuchen Zhu Jieming Liu Angxuan Wu Guoming Ma Xilin Wang Zhidong Jia Liming Wang | 2022 | High Voltage2022,7,1: | 2 |
| 6 | High‐performance ZnO varistor ceramics prepared by arc‐induced flash sintering with low energy consumption at room temperature显示文摘The development of ultra‐high voltage transmission lines requires a ZnO arrester with excellent electrical response and high voltage gradient.Compared with conventional preparation methods,flash sintering allows fast production of novel high‐performance ZnO varistor ceramics with low energy consumption and controlled grain growth.Herein,ZnO varistor ceramics were prepared using the flash sintering method at an air pressure of 21 kPa for 60 s at 25℃.The results showed that the flash‐sintered samples had fine grains and reduced loss of volatile elements.Moreover,the voltage gradient,leakage current density,and non‐linear coefficient of the flash‐sintered varistor ceramics were significantly improved compared with those of conventionally sintered samples.Owing to the short preparation time and absence of a heating process,the energy consumption of the proposed flash sintering method was significantly reduced to 10%of that by conventional sintering.The proposed method is a promising approach for the preparation of ZnO arresters with excellent electrical properties and serves as an effective method that realises energy saving and emission reduction. | Angxuan Wu Zhixiang Zhu Xilin Wang Nianping Yan Hongyang Zhou Rongxia Huang Guoming Ma Zhidong Jia Liming Wang | 2022 | High Voltage2022,7,2: | 2 |

In log-log plot, G vs. IAOFq exhibit highly dependent linear trend, which implicates the compatibility between G and IAOFq attained through development optimization to reach the balance among annual flow capacity, maximum profits and certain production plateau, that is to match productivity with rate maintenance capacity. The correlation can be used as analogue in new gas field development planning to evaluate the minimum dynamic reserves which meet the requirement of stable and profitable production, and facilitate well pattern arrangement. | 20 | A sustained release of BMP2 in urine-derived stemcells enhances the osteogenic differentiation and the potential of bone regeneration显示文摘Cell-based tissue engineering is one of the optimistic approaches to replace current treatments for bone defects.Urine-derived stem cells(USCs)are obtained non-invasively and become one of the promising seed cells for bone regeneration.An injectable BMP2-releasing chitosan microspheres/type I collagen hydrogel(BMP2-CSM/Col I hydrogel)was fabricated.USCs proliferated in a time-dependent fashion,spread with good extension and interconnected with each other in different hydrogels both for 2D and 3D models.BMP2 was released in a sustained mode for more than 28 days.Sustained-released BMP2 increased the ALP activities and mineral depositions of USCs in 2D culture,and enhanced the expression of osteogenic genes and proteins in 3D culture.In vivo,the mixture of USCs and BMP2-CSM/Col I hydrogels effectively enhanced bone regeneration,and the ratio of new bone volume to total bone volume was 38%after 8weeks of implantation.Our results suggested that BMP2-CSM/Col I hydrogels promoted osteogenic differentiation of USCs in 2D and 3D culture in vitro and USCs provided a promising cell source for bone tissue engineering in vivo.As such,USCs-seeded hydrogel scaffolds are regarded as an alternative approach in the repair of bone defects. | Shuang Wu Zhao Chen Xi Yu Xin Duan Jialei Chen Guoming Liu Min Gong Fei Xing Jiachen Sun Shishu Huang Zhou Xiang | 2022 | Regenerative Biomaterials2022,9,1: | 0 |
