| 4 | High-speed femtosecond laser plasmonic lithography and reduction of graphene oxide for anisotropic photoresponse显示文摘Micro/nanoprocessing of graphene surfaces has attracted significant interest for both science and applications due to its effective modulation of material properties,which,however,is usually restricted by the disadvantages of the current fabrication methods.Here,by exploiting cylindrical focusing of a femtosecond laser on graphene oxide(GO)films,we successfully produce uniform subwavelength grating structures at high speed along with a simultaneous in situ photoreduction process.Strikingly,the well-defined structures feature orientations parallel to the laser polarization and significant robustness against distinct perturbations.The proposed model and simulations reveal that the structure formation is based on the transverse electric(TE)surface plasmons triggered by the gradient reduction of the GO film from its surface to the interior,which eventually results in interference intensity fringes and spatially periodic interactions.Further experiments prove that such a regular structured surface can cause enhanced optical absorption(>20%)and an anisotropic photoresponse(~0.46 ratio)for the reduced GO film.Our work not only provides new insights into understanding the laser-GO interaction but also lays a solid foundation for practical usage of femtosecond laser plasmonic lithography,with the prospect of expansion to other two-dimensional materials for novel device applications. | Tingting Zou Bo Zhao Wei Xin Ye Wang Bin Wang Xin Zheng Hongbo Xie Zhiyu Zhang Jianjun Yang Chunlei Guo | 2020 | Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1: | 17 |
| 5 | A 600-year flood history in the Yangtze River drainage:Comparison between a subaqueous delta and historical records显示文摘Based on grain size analysis and high-resolution elemental scanning of core YD0901,taken from the subaqueous Yangtze River delta,a 600-year flood history was reconstructed for the Yangtze River drainage system.Zr/Rb ratios were chosen as a proxy for Yangtze River floods.Zr resides mainly in the coarse-grained minerals,and Rb is found in the fine-grained minerals.When floods occur,the discharge of the Yangtze River increases,which carries more coarse-grained minerals into the East China Sea.Therefore,deposition of coarse-grained minerals significantly increases relative to fine-grained minerals on the subaqueous delta,and subsequently the Zr/Rb ratios also increase.The higher the Zr/Rb peaks,the greater number of coarse particles deposited by saltation processes.Zr/Rb peaks correlate very well with historical records for Yangtze River floods.Especially at about AD 1870,the Zr/Rb ratio reached a maximum value over the last 600 years,which is consistent with 'the extreme flood event' in the upper and middle reaches of the Yangtze River in AD 1870,as indicated in the historical records.Results show that floods have occurred at a relatively high frequency over the last 600 years,which is consistent with historical records when,during the Ming-Qing Dynasty,floods occurred once every 4 years.In addition,spectral analysis of the Zr/Rb ratio showed that there is close link between the Yangtze River floods and ENSO intensity. | WANG MinJie ZHENG HongBo XIE Xin FAN DaiDu YANG ShouYe ZHAO QuanHong WANG Ke | 2011 | Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,2: | 9 |
| 6 | Hot Corrosion Behavior of Double-ceramic-layer LaTi_2 Al_(9)O_(19)/YSZ Thermal Barrier Coatings显示文摘LaTi 2 Al 9 O 19 (LTA) exhibits promising potential as a new kind of thermal barrier coating (TBC) material, due to its excellent high-temperature capability and low thermal conductivity. In this paper, LTA/yttria stabilized zirconia (YSZ) TBCs are produced by atmospheric plasma spraying. Hot corrosion behavior and the related failure mechanism of the coating are investigated. Decomposition of LTA does not occur even after 1 458 hot corrosion cycles at 1 373 K, revealing good chemical stability in molten salt of Na 2 SO 4 and NaCl. However, the molten salt infiltrates to the bond coat, causing dissolving of the thermally grown oxide (TGO) in the molten salt and hot corrosion of the bond coat. As a result, cracking of the TBC occurs within the oxide layer. In conclusion, the ceramic materials LTA and YSZ reveal good chemical stability in molten salts of Na 2 SO 4 and NaCl, and the bond coat plays a significant role in providing protection for the component against hot corrosion in the LTA/YSZ TBCs. | 7 | KIF2C:a novel link between Wnt/β-catenin and mTORCI signaling in the pathogenesis of hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is the most common primary liver malignancy and is the fourth-leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide.HCC is refractory to many standard cancer treatments and the prognosis is often poor,highlighting a pressing need to identify biomarkers of aggressiveness and potential targets for future treatments.Kinesin family member 2C(KIF2C)is reported to be highly expressed in several human tumors.Nevertheless,the molecular mechanisms underlying the role of KIF2C in tumor development and progression have not been investigated.In this study,we found that KIF2C expression was significantly upregulated in HCC,and that KIF2C up-regulation was associated with a poor prognosis.Utilizing both gain and loss of function assays,we showed that KIF2C promoted HCC cell proliferation,migration,invasion,and metastasis both in vitro and in vivo.Mechanistically,we identified TBC1D7 as a binding partner of KIF2C,and this interaction disrupts the formation of the TSC complex,resulting in the enhancement of mammalian target of rapamycin complexl(mTORCI)signal transduction.Additionally,we found that KIF2C is a direct target of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway,and acts as a key factor in mediating the crosstalk between Wnt/β-catenin and mTORCI signaling.Thus,the results of our study establish a link between Wnt/β-catenin and mTORCI signaling,which highlights the potential of KIF2C as a therapeutic target for the treatment of HCC. | Shi Wei Miaomiao Dai Chi Zhang Kai Teng Fengwei Wang Hongbo Li Weipeng Sun Zihao Feng Tiebang Kang Xinyuan Guan Ruihua Xu Muyan Cai Dan Xie | 2021 | Protein & Cell2021,12,10: | 8 |

| 9 | La/Ce-codoped Bi_2O_3 composite photocatalysts with high photocatalytic performance in removal of high concentration dye显示文摘A series of La/Ce-codoped Bi_2O_3 composite photocatalysts were fabricated via hydrothermal–calcination process. The as-prepared products were intensively characterized by some physicochemical characterizations like N_2 physical adsorption, X-ray powder diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscope(SEM), transmission electron microscope(TEM), UV–Vis diffuse reflectance(UV–Vis DRS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),photoelectrochemical measurements, and photoluminescence(PL) spectroscopy. The characterization results indicated that La and Ce doping induced obvious crystal phase transformation in Bi_2O_3, from monoclinic to tetragonal phase. La and Ce codoping also gave rise to the obvious synergetic effects, e.g., the lattice contraction of Bi_2O_3, the decrease of crystal size and the increase of surface area. The photocatalytic performance of the prepared catalysts was evaluated by removal of dye acid orange II with high concentration under visible light irradiation. Results showed that La/Ce-codoped Bi_2O_3 displayed much higher photocatalytic performance than that of bare Bi_2O_3, single La or Ce doped Bi_2O_3 samples. | 10 | Lx2-32c,a novel semi-synthetic taxane,exerts antitumor activity against prostate cancer cells in vitro and in vivo显示文摘Tubulin has been shown to be an effective target for the development of cytotoxic agents against prostate cancer. Previously, we reported that Lx2-32 c is an anti-tubulin agent with high binding affinity to tubulin. In this study, we investigated the potential of Lx2-32 c to act as an effective cytotoxic agent in the treatment of prostate cancer. MTT assays showed that Lx2-32 c was cytotoxic to all tested prostate cancer cell lines. The Lx2-32c-treated cells typically exhibited a rounded morphology associated with the onset of apoptosis, as evidenced by immunocytochemical staining. Human prostate cancer cell lines treated with Lx2-32 c arrest in the G2/M phase of the cell cycle and the treatment is associated with an increased ratio of cells in the sub-G0/G1 phase as determined by flow cytometry. Furthermore, expression of the cleaved form of poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase in prostate cancer cell lines treated with Lx2-32 c was shown by Western blotting assay. Xenograft implants of LNCa P and PC3-derived tumors in nude mice showed that Lx2-32 c treatment significant inhibited tumor growth with effects equivalent to those of docetaxel. | 11 | Dynamic control on grain-size distribution of terrigenous sediments in the western South China Sea:Implication for East Asian monsoon evolution显示文摘High-resolution oxygen isotope stratigraphy of Core MD05-2901, which is located off eastern Vietnam in the western South China Sea (SCS), was established and indicated that the core spans a time period of the past 450 ka. Based on the bulk density, fractional porosity and lithogenic content of the sedi-ments, terrigenous mass accumulation rate (TMAR) was obtained, which is 4.9―6.0 g cm?2 ka?1 on average during interglacial stages, higher than that during glacial stages, i.e. 1.9―5.0 g cm-2 ka-1, which is different from northern and southern SCS which show higher TMAR in glacial stages. By principle component analysis of grain size distribution of all the samples, two main control factors (F1 and F2) were obtained, which are responsible for about 80% variance of granularity. The contents of grain size population 1.26―2.66 μm% and 10.8―14.3 μm% which are sensible to F1 show high-frequency fluctuation, and correlate well with the summer insolation at 15oN. They exhibit a dis-tinct cyclicity with frequencies near 23 ka and 13 ka, in contrast to a strong frequency peak near 100 ka obtained in proxies 4.24―7.42 μm% and 30.1―43.7 μm% controlled mainly by F2. The sedimentary character of this part of the SCS was controlled by variations of input flux from two main source areas, namely the southwest and north SCS, which were transported by different circulations of surface current forced by East Asian summer monsoon and winter monsoon respectively. | 13 | miR395-regulated sulfate metabolism exploits pathogen sensitivity to sulfate to boost immunity in rice显示文摘MicroRNAs (miRNAs) play important roles in plant physiological activities. However, their roles and molecular mechanisms in boosting plant immunity, especially through the modulation of macronutrient metabolism in response to pathogens, are largely unknown. Here, we report that an evolutionarily conserved miRNA, miR395, promotes resistance to Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo) and X. oryzae pv. oryzicola (Xoc), two destructive bacterial pathogens, by regulating sulfate accumulation and distribution in rice. Specifically, miR395 targets and suppresses the expression of the ATP sulfurylase gene OsAPS1, which functions in sulfate assimilation, and two sulfate transporter genes, OsSULTR2;1 and OsSULTR2;2, which function in sulfate translocation, to promote sulfate accumulation, resulting in broad-spectrum resistance to bacterial pathogens in miR395-overexpressing plants. Genetic analysis revealed that miR395-triggered resistance is involved in both pathogen-associated molecular pattern-triggered immunity and R gene-mediated resistance. Moreover, we found that accumulated sulfate but not S-metabolites inhibits proliferation of pathogenic bacteria, revealing a sulfate-mediated antibacterial defense mechanism that differs from sulfur-induced resistance. Furthermore, compared with other bacteria, Xoo and Xoc, which lack the sulfate transporter CysZ, are sensitive to high levels of extracellular sulfate. Accordingly, miR395-regulated sulfate accumulation impaired the virulence of Xoo and Xoc by decreasing extracellular polysaccharide production and biofilm formation. | 16 | Layer-block tectonics of Cenozoic basements and formation of intra-plate basins in Nansha micro-plate, southern South China Sea显示文摘Layer-block tectonics (LBT) concept, with the core of pluralistic geodynamic outlook and multi- layer-sliding tectonic outlook, is one of new keys to study 3-dimensional solid and its 4-dimensional evolution history of global tectonic system controlled by global geodynamics system. The LBT concept is applied to study the lithospheric tectonics of the southern South China Sea (SCS). Based on the analysis of about 30 000 km of geophysical and geological data, some layer-blocks in the Nansha micro-plate can be divided as Nansha ultra-crustal layer-block, Zengmu crustal layer-block, Nanwei (Rifleman bank)-Andu (Ardasier bank) and Liyue (Reed bank)-North Palawan crustal layer-blocks, Andu-Bisheng and Liyue-Banyue basemental layer-blocks. The basic characteristics of the basemental layer-blocks have been dicussed, and three intra-plate basin groups are identified. The intra-plate basins within Nansha micro-plate can be divided into three basin groups of NanweiAndu, Feixin-Nanhua, and Liyue-North Palawan based on the different geodynamics. In the light of pluralistic geodynamic concept, the upheaving force induced by the mid-crust plastic layer is proposed as the main dynamical force which causes the formation of the intra-plate basins within the Nansha micro-plate.
