| 1 | The ChinaMAP analytics of deep whole genome sequences in 10,588 individuals显示文摘Metabolic diseases are the most common and rapidly growing health issues worldwide.The massive population-based human genetics is crucial for the precise prevention and intervention of metabolic disorders.The China Metabolic Analytics Project(ChinaMAP)is based on cohort studies across diverse regions and ethnic groups with metabolic phenotypic data in China.Here,we describe the centralized analysis of the deep whole genome sequencing data and the genetic bases of metabolic traits in 10,588 individuals from the ChinaMAP.The frequency spectrum of variants,population structure,pathogenic variants and novel genomic characteristics were analyzed.The individual genetic evaluations of Mendelian diseases,nutrition and drug metabolism,and traits of blood glucose and BMI were integrated.Our study establishes a large-scale and deep resource for the genetics of East Asians and provides opportunities for novel genetic discoveries of metabolic characteristics and disorders. | Yanan Cao Lin Li Min Xu Zhimin Feng Xiaohui Sun Jieli Lu Yu Xu Peina Du Tiange Wang Ruying Hu Zhen Ye Lixin Shi Xulei Tang Li Yan Zhengnan Gao Gang Chen Yinfei Zhang Lulu Chen Guang Ning Yufang Bi Weiqing Wang The ChinaMAP Consortium | 2020 | Cell Research2020，30，9： | 20 |
| 2 | Ultrasound-Guided Transmuscular Quadratus Lumbar Block Reduces Opioid Consumption after Laparoscopic Partial Nephrectomy显示文摘Objectives Transmuscular quadratus lumborum block(TQLB)may provide postoperative analgesia in patients undergoing intraperitoneal surgeries.The purpose of this study was to examine the potential efficacy of TQLB among patients undergoing retroperitoneal procedures,such as the laparoscopic partial nephrectomy(LPN).Methods This prospective,randomized,controlled study was conducted from August 2017 to November 2018 at Peking Union Medical College Hospital(Beijing,China).Patients who were scheduled for a LPN,aged 18・70 years old with an ASA physical status score of I-II were randomly assigned to receive either TQLB with 0.6 ml/kg of 0.5%ropivacaine plus general anesthesia(TQLB group)or general anesthesia alone(control group).Patient-controlled intravenous analgesia with morphine was initiated immediately upon surgery completion.The primary outcome was the cumulative consumption of morphine within 8 h after surgery.The secondary outcome included postoperative consump廿ons of morphine at other time points,pain score at rest and during activity,postoperative nausa and vomitting(PONV),and recovery related parameters.Results Totally 30 patients per group were recruited in the study.The 8 h consumption of morphine was lower in theTQLB group than in the control group(median,0.023 mg/kg vs.0.068 mg/kg,U=207.5,P<0.001).No significant differences were observed in postoperative pain scores between the two groups.Patients in the TQLB group had fewer episodes of PONV(20%vs.47%,χ2=4.&P=0.028)in the first 24 h after surgery and higher scores for quality of recovery(mean,13&6 vs.131.9,t=-2.164,P=0.035)120 h after surgery than the controls.Conclusions TQLB resulted in an opioid-sparing effect during the early postoperative period following LPN,as well as a lower incidence of PONV and improved quality of recovery. | Xulei Cui Xu Li Minna Li Yuelun Zhang Yi Xie Weigang Yan Yushi Zhang Zhigang Ji Yuguang Huang | 2020 | Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2020，35，4： | 10 |
| 3 | Concentrations of Heavy Metals in Suburban Horticultural Soils and Their Uptake by Artemisia selengensis显示文摘A total of 222 surface soil samples and 40 plant samples were collected to investigate the spatial distribution and possible sources of soil heavy metals and to know the uptake and translocation of heavy metals from roots to different plant parts in a representative vegetable production area in the Baguazhou Island, a suburb of Nanjing City, East China. The arithmetic mean values of total Cd, Cr,Cu, Ni, Pb, and Zn concentrations in the soils were 0.314, 133, 41.0, 58.0, 31.8, and 114 mg kg-1, respectively. All of these values were above the topsoil background values in the Nanjing area. Multivariate and geostatistical analyses showed that soil Cd contamination was derived mainly from agricultural practices. In contrast, Cu and Zn were derived mainly from soil parent materials and Pb from atmospheric deposition from highway gasoline stations. Artemisia selengensis, a locally important specialty vegetable, accumulated heavy metals primarily in the edible leaves. The general distribution of heavy metal concentrations in this plant species showed that the highest occurred in the leaves, intermediate in the stems and lowest in the roots. | 4 | Ultrasound-Guided Continuous Thoracic Paravertebral Block Improves Patientʼs Quality of Recovery After Open Hepatectomy: A Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Trial显示文摘Background Ultrasound-guided continuous thoracic paravertebral block can provide pain-relieving and opioid-sparing effects in patients receiving open hepatectomy.We hypothesize that these effects may improve the quality of recovery(QoR)after open hepatectomy.Methods Seventy-six patients undergoing open hepatectomy were randomized to receive a continuous thoracic paravertebral block with ropivacaine(CTPVB group)or normal saline(control group).All patients received patient-controlled intravenous analgesia with morphine postoperatively for 48 hours.The primary outcome was the global Chinese 15-item Quality of Recovery score on postoperative day 7,which was statistically analyzed using Student’s t-test.Results Thirty-six patients in the CTPVB group and 37 in the control group completed the study.Compared to the control group,the CTPVB group had significantly increased global Chinese 15-item Quality of Recovery scores(133.14±12.97 vs.122.62±14.89,P=0.002)on postoperative day 7.Postoperative pain scores and cumulative morphine consumption were significantly lower for up to 8 and 48 hours(P<0.05;P=0.002),respectively,in the CTPVB group.Conclusion Perioperative CTPVB markably promotes patient’s QoR after open hepatectomy with a profound analgesic effect in the early postoperative period. | Xulei Cui Nan Xu Zhiyong Zhang Bo Zhu Yuelun Zhang Yongchang Zheng Shunda Du Yilei Mao Xinting Sang Yuguang Huang | 2022 | Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2022，37，1： | 3 |
| 5 | Soft X-ray ptychography method at SSRF显示文摘Ptychography is a diffraction-based X-ray microscopy technique in which an extended sample is scanned by a coherent beam with overlapped illuminated areas and complex transmission function of the sample is obtained by applying iterative phase retrieval algorithms to the diffraction patterns recorded at each scanned position.It permits quantitatively imaging of non-crystalline specimens at a resolution limited only by the X-ray wavelength and the maximal scattering angle detected.In this paper,the development of soft X-ray ptychography method at the BL08U1 A beamline of Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility is presented.The experimental setup,experimental parameters selection criteria,and post-experimental data analyzing procedures are presented in detail with a prospect of high-resolution image reconstruction in real time.The performance of this newly implemented method is demonstrated through the measurements of a resolution test pattern and two real samples:Pt-Co alloy nanoparticles and a breast cancer cell.The results indicate that strong scattering specimens can be reconstructed to sub-20 nm resolution,while a sub-25 nm resolution for biological specimens can be achieved. | Chun-Peng Wang Zi-Jian Xu Hai-Gang Liu Xulei Tao Ren-Zhong Tai | 2017 | Nuclear Science and Techniques2017，28，6： | 2 |
