1Iron-based oxygen carriers in chemical looping conversions:A review显示文摘A solid oxygen carrier is usually applied in a chemical looping conversion process to transfer oxygen from the gaseous oxygen source to the fuel,which can avoid the direct contact of these two reactants and hence decrease the energy penalty of separation.Among the solid oxygen carriers,iron-based oxygen carrier is an attractive option due to its inherent properties of low cost and environmentally-friendly.Several processes such as chemical looping combustion(CLC),chemical looping gasification(CLG),chemical looping reforming(CLR),and chemical looping hydrogen generation(CLHG)have been proposed and investigated based on the iron-based oxygen carrier.In this review,the relevant researches on the iron-based oxygen carrier are summarized,which include the characteristics of iron oxides,the preparations of the iron-based oxygen carrier based on the iron ores and some other low-cost iron contained materials,and their applications in the continuous operated chemical looping conversion processes.It is expected to provide a better understanding for the development and utilization of iron-based oxygen carrier in the practical chemical looping processes.Zhongliang Yu Yanyan Yang Song Yang Qian Zhang Jiantao Zhao Yitian Fang Xiaogang Hao Guoqing Guan 2019Carbon Resources Conversion2019,2,1:9
2Hydrogel-based artificial enzyme for combating bacteria and accelerating wound healing显示文摘Artificial enzymes have provided great antimicrobial activity to combat wound infection.However,the lack of tissue repair capability compromised their treatment effect.Therefore,development of novel artificial enzyme concurrently with the excellent antibacterial activity and the property of promoting wound healing are required.Here,we demonstrated the hydrogel-based artificial enzyme composed of copper and amino acids possessed intrinsic peroxidase-like catalytic activity,which could combat wound pathogen effectively and accelerate wound healing by stimulating angiogenesis and collagen deposition.Furthermore,the system possesses good biocompatibility for practical application.The synergic effect of the hydrogel-based artificial enzyme promises the system as a new paradigm in bacteria-infected wound healing therapy.Hao Qiu Fang Pu Zhengwei Liu Xuemeng Liu Kai Dong Chaoqun Liu Jinsong Ren Xiaogang Qu 2020Nano Research2020,13,2:6
3Study on corrosion resistance of rust-preventive oil under shipment and storage conditions显示文摘In recent decades,the demand for cold-rolled steel sheets has remarkably increased. To prevent the sheets from rusting before the manufacturing process,a layer of rust-preventive oil has to be coated on the sheets. In this study,the shipment and storage environments were simulated through a salt spray test and a damp-heat experiment,respectively,and the packaging status of the sheets was imitated by a laminated sheet test. The protection effect of oil on the steel sheet was investigated under the different environmental conditions and oil weights by using electrochemical approaches,scanning electron microscopy( SEM),and X-ray diffraction( XRD) techniques. It was found that chloride ions had more severe effects on the corrosion resistance of the oils than hydrothermal conditions did. This was shown in the sheets with oil weights of 0. 4,0. 9,and 1. 2 g·m^(-2),which were too severely corroded after a four-hour salt spraying test to meet the demands of subsequent processing. However,the sheets showed satisfactory corrosion resistance after a three-week damp-heat experiment with a temperature of 49 ℃ and 95% RH. In addition,it was disclosed that the penetration of the chloride ions determined the protection mechanism of the oil,i. e.,the corrosion resistance was initially enhanced by the increase in the oil content. As long as the chloride ion reached the interface between the oil film and the sheet,the oil distribution became the predominant factor in the protection of the sheet. The corrosion mechanism of the steel sheet was dependent on the stacking style of the sample. When exposed to air,the corrosion product of the sample was rust red with a composition of Fe_2O_3,whereas the black product that is mainly composed of Fe_3O_4 was found on the edge of the laminated sheets,which resulted from the oxygen concentration cell.FANG Baiyou LU Lin DING Minzhen LI Xiaogang 2015Baosteel Technical Research2015,9,1:4
4Particles in composite polymer electrolyte for solid-state lithium batteries:A review显示文摘Solid-state lithium batteries(SSLBs)have been identified as one kind of the most promising energy conversion and storage devices because of their safety,high energy density,and long cycling life.The development of solid-state electrolyte is vital to commercialize SSLBs.Composite polymer electrolyte(CPE),derived by compositing inorganic particles into solid polymer electrolyte has become the most practical species for SSLBs because it inherits the advantages of polymer electrolyte and simultaneously achieves enhanced ionic conductivity and mechanical properties.The characteristics of inorganic particles and their interaction with polymers strongly impact the performance of CPE,improving its ionic conductivity,mechanical properties,thermal and electrochemical stability,as well as interface compatibility with both electrodes.In this review,the effects of particle characteristics including its species,size,proportion,morphology on the ionic conductivity and mechanical properties of CPE are reviewed.Meanwhile,some novel composite strategies are also introduced including surface modification,hybridization,and alignment of particles in polymer matrices,as well as some new preparation methods of CPE.The interactions between particles and other components in CPE including polymer matrices or lithium salt are particularly focused herein to reveal the lithium conductive mechanism.Finally,a perspective on the direction of future CPE development for SSLBs is presented.Nan Meng Xiaogang Zhu Fang Lian 2022Particuology2022,20,1:3

6Boron and nitrogen dual-doped carbon as a novel cathode for high performance hybrid ion capacitors显示文摘Hybrid ion capacitors have been considered as a very attractive energy source with high energy density and power density since it combines both merits of lithium ion batteries and supercapacitors. However,their commercial application has been limited by the mismatch of charge-storage capacity and electrode kinetics between the capacitor-type cathode and battery-type anode. Herein, B and N dual-doped 3D superstructure carbon cathode is prepared through a facile template method. It delivers a high specific capacity, excellent rate capability and good cycling stability due to the B, N dual-doping, which has a profound effect in control the porosity, functional groups, and electronic conductivity for the carbon cathode. The hybrid ion capacitors using B, N dual-doping carbon cathode and prelithiated graphite anode show a high energy density of 115.5 Wh/kg at 250 W/kg and remain about 53.6 Wh/kg even at a high power density of 10 kW/kg. Additionally, the novel hybrid device achieves 76.3% capacity retention after 2000 cycles tested at 1250 W/kg power density. 8Functional isolation,culture and cryopreservation of adult human primary cardiomyocytes显示文摘Cardiovascular diseases are the most common cause of death globally.Accurately modeling cardiac homeostasis,dysfunction,and drug response lies at the heart of cardiac research.Adult human primary cardiomyocytes(hPCMs)are a promising cellular model,but unstable isolation efficiency and quality,rapid cell death in culture,and unknown response to cryopreservation prevent them from becoming a reliable and flexible in vitro cardiac model.Combing the use of a reversible inhibitor of myosinⅡATPase,(-)-blebbistatin(Bleb),and multiple optimization steps of the isolation procedure,we achieved a 2.74-fold increase in cell viability over traditional methods,accompanied by better cellular morphology,minimally perturbed gene expression,intact electrophysiology,and normal neurohormonal signaling.Further optimization of culture conditions established a method that was capable of maintaining optimal cell viability,morphology,and mitochondrial respiration for at least 7 days.Most importantly,we successfully cryopreserved hPCMs,which were structurally,molecularly,and functionally intact after undergoing the freeze-thaw cycle.hPCMs demonstrated greater sensitivity towards a set of cardiotoxic drugs,compared to human-induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes(hiPSC-CMs).Further dissection of cardiomyocyte drug response at both the population and single-cell transcriptomic level revealed that hPCM responses were more pronouncedly enriched in cardiac function,whereas hiPSC-CMs responses reflected cardiac development.Together,we established a full set of methodologies for the efficient isolation and prolonged maintenance of functional primary adult human cardiomyocytes in vitro,unlocking their potential as a cellular model for cardiovascular research,drug discovery,and safety pharmacology.Bingying Zhou Xun Shi Xiaoli Tang Quanyi Zhao Le Wang Fang Yao Yongfeng Hou Xianqiang Wang Wei Feng Liqing Wang Xiaogang Sun Li Wang Shengshou Hu 2022Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,8:1

13A genome wide association study between copy number variation (CNV) and human height in Chinese population显示文摘Copy number variation (CNV) is a type of genetic variation which may have important roles in phenotypic variability and disease susceptibility. To hunt for genetic variants underlying human height variation, we performed a genome wide CNV association study for human height in 618 Chinese unrelated subjects using Affymetrix 500K array set. After adjusting for age and sex, we found that four CNVs at 6p21.3, 8p23.3-23.2, 9p23 and 16p12.1 were associated with human height (with borderline significant p value: 0.013, 0.011, 0.024, 0.049; respectively). However, after multiple tests correction, none of them was associated with human height. We observed that the gain of copy number (more than 2 copies) at 8p23.3-23.2 was associated with lower height (normal copy number vs. gain of copy number: 161.2 cm vs. 153.7 cm, p = 0.011), which accounted for 0.9% of height variation. Loss of copy number (less than 2 copies) at 6p21.3 was associated with 0.8% lower height (loss of copy number vs. normal copy number: 154.5 cm vs. 161.1 cm, p = 0.013). Since no important genes influencing height located in CNVs at loci of 8p23.3-23.2 and 6p21.3, the two CNVs may cause the structural rear- rangements of neighbored important candidate genes, thus regulates the variation of height. 15Template-Free Synthesis of Ordered Mesoporous NiO/Poly (Sodium-4-Styrene Sulfonate) Functionalized Carbon Nanotubes Composite for Electrochemical Capacitors显示文摘We report the first example of a practical and efficient template-free strategy for synthesizing ordered mesoporous NiO/poly(sodium-4-styrene sulfonate)(PSS)functionalized carbon nanotubes(FCNTs)composites by calcining a Ni(OH)_(2)/FCNTs precursor prepared by refl uxing an alkaline solution of Ni(NH_(3))x^(2)+and FCNTs at 97 oC for 1 h.The morphology and structure were characterized by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,and transmission electron microscopy.Thermal decomposition of the precursor results in the formation of ordered mesoporous NiO/FCNTs composite(ca.48 wt%NiO)with large specifi c surface area.Due to its enhanced electronic conductivity and hierarchical(meso-and macro-)porosity,composite simultaneously meets the three requirements for energy storage in electrochemical capacitors at high rate,namely,good electron conductivity,highly accessibleelectrochemical surface areas owing to the existence of mesopores,and efficient mass transport from the macropores.Electrochemical data demonstrated that the ordered mesoporous NiO/FCNTs composite is capable of delivering a specifi c capacitance(SC)of 526 F/g at 1 A/g and a SC of 439 F/g even at 6 A/g,and show a degradation of only ca.6%in SC after 2000 continuous charge/discharge cycles.Changzhou Yuan Shenglin Xiong Xiaogang Zhang Laifa Shen Fang Zhang Bao Gao Linhao Su 2009Nano Research2009,2,9:1
