2Special interstitial route can transport nanoparticles to the brain bypassing the blood-brain barrier显示文摘Nowadays,nanoparticles(NPs)are considered to be ideal tools for bioimaging and drug delivery.Although increasing research has focused on NP biodistribution,transportation in the interstitial architecture has been neglected.The entire body is connected by the interstitial architecture,which can provide a long-range and direct pathway for NP biodistribution in a nonvascular system.In this study,we report that 10-nm gold NPs injected directly into the interstitial architecture of the tarsal tunnel of rats(intervaginal space injection(ISI))were delivered to the brain without crossing the blood-brain barrier.Furthermore,NaGdF4 nanoparticles were used to explore the transportation route by magnetic resonance imaging.The results demonstrated that,after ISI,the NaGdF4 nanoparticles were transported through the perivascular interstitial space of the carotid arteries and brain vessels to the brain.This is a special nonvascular transportation route like a stream based on the interstitial architecture that provides an alternative pathway for NP biodistribution.Nan Hu Xiaoli Shi Qiang Zhang Wentao Liu Yuting Zhu Yuqing Wang Yi Hou Yinglu Ji Yupeng Cao Qian Zeng Zhuo Ao Quanmei Sun Xiaohan Zhou Xiaochun Wu Dong Han 2019Nano Research2019,12,11:2

4Distribution of chromophytic phytoplankton in the Western Subarctic Gyre of Pacific Ocean revealed by morphological observation and rbc L gene sequences显示文摘Western Subarctic Gyre(WSG),which possesses distinctive differences in oceanographic and biogeochemical processes,is situated in the northwest subarctic Pacific.The WSG is characterized by high nutrient and low chlorophyll.We carried out a field investigation in this area in summer 2020 and performed microscopic observation,cytometric counting,and RuBisCO large subunit(rbc L)gene analysis to understand the community structure and spatial distribution of chromophytic phytoplankton better.Microscopic method revealed that total phytoplankton(>10μm,including Bacillariophyta,Dinoflagellata,Ochrophyta,and Chlorophyta)abundances ranged(0.6×10^(3))-(167.4×10^(3))cells/L with an increasing trend from south to north.Dinoflagellates and Pennatae diatoms dominated the phytoplankton assemblages in the southern and northern stations,respectively.Major chromophytic phytoplankton groups derived from rbc L genes included Haptophyta,Ochrophyta,Bacillariophyta,as well as rarely occurring groups,such as Xanthophyta,Cyanobacteria,Dinoflagellata,Rhodophyta,and Cryptophyta.At the phylum level,Haptophyta was the most abundant phylum,accounting for approximately 30.80%of the total obtained operational taxonomic units in all samples.Ochrophyta and Bacillariophyta were the second and third most abundant phylum,and their relative abundance was 20.26% and 19.60%,respectively.Further,redundancy analysis showed that high proportion of diatoms(e.g.,microscopic and rbc L methods)was positively correlated with nutrients(e.g.,dissolved inorganic nitrogen(DIN),dissolved inorganic phosphorous,and dissolved silicate(DSi))and negatively correlated with temperature and salinity.The proportion of Ochrophyta,Rhodophyta,and Cyanobateria identified by rbc L genes was positively correlated with salinity and temperature and showed negative correlation to nutrients.This work is the first molecular study of phytoplankton accomplished in the WSG,and our results show some discrepancies between morphological observation and rbc L gene sequences,which highlight the necessity of combining the microscopic and molecular methods to reveal the diversity of phytoplankton in marine environment.Tao JIANG Xiaohan QIN Guannan WU Huaxian ZHAO Xiaotao YU Xueyan XIAO Wenjing LIU Qingjing HU Jufa CHEN Nan LI 2023Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2023,41,6:0
5Microparticle Effect of Carbon Dioxide Hydrate Crystal Nucleus in Reaction Kettle显示文摘This study analyzed the partial effect of carbon dioxide hydrate in reaction kettle experiments.The particle and bubble characteristics of the crystal nucleus during carbon dioxide hydrate decomposition were observed under the microscope.The results showed that in the temperature range of 0.5℃–3.5℃,the pressure range of 3 MPa–5.5 MPa,phase characteristics in the reaction kettle changed in a complex fashion during carbon dioxide hydrate formation.During hydrate decomposition,numerous carbon dioxide bubbles were produced,mainly by precipitation at high temperatures or in the hydrate cage structure.The hydrate crystal nucleus initially exhibited fluidity in the reaction.However,as the reaction progressed,the hydrate crystal nucleus migrated upward under the influence of gravity and carbon dioxide diffused into the aqueous phase.Next,the hydrate was formed and accumulated,finally forming a solid carbon dioxide hydrate layer.Yujie Bai Youquan Huang Guangsheng Cao Xiaohan Nan Qingchao Cheng Lei Wang Tong Du 2021Journal of Renewable Materials2021,9,4:0
