1Prospects and research issues in multi-dimensional all optical networks显示文摘Research into all optical network(AON) technology has been ongoing over the past decade, and new features are constantly being developed. The advantages of AON include large-bandwidth provisioning, lowlatency transmission and low energy consumption. The basic concept underlying AON is transmission of data signals entirely through the optical domain from source to destination nodes, with no optical-electrical-optical(O-E-O) conversion at intermediate nodes. The technologies used to implement AON have undergone a series of evolutions, which encompass time division multiplexing(TDM), frequency division multiplexing(FDM), and space division multiplexing(SDM). Multi-dimensional AON(MD-AON), which leads the trend of AON's future architecture, provides a vibrant state for emerging applications such as cloud computing and Internet of Things(Io T). In this article, we review the evolution of AON architectures based on the different all optical switching and multiplexing technologies(i.e., TDM, FDM, and SDM), which is one of the main areas of focus in this article.The other main area is detailed discussion of implementations such as data plane and control plane technologies as well as resource optimization technologies for realizing AON. 3Isolating Host Environment by Booting Android from OTG Devices显示文摘With the integration of smartphone into daily life, end users store a large amount of sensitive information into Android device. For protecting the sensitive information, a method of multi-booting Android OS from On-The-Go(OTG) device is proposed to meet the requirements of end users in different scenarios. The proposed method utilizes system domain isolation to guarantee the security of sensitive information on different Android OS.The difference with other solutions is that our proposed solution does not add additional components to Android OS,which makes the overhead of Android runtime has been effectively controlled. A prototype of the proposed method is implemented and deployed into the real android device to evaluate the effectiveness, the efficiency and the performance overhead. 4Developmental Temporal Patterns and Molecular Network Features in the Transcriptome of Rat Spinal Cord显示文摘The molecular network features of spinal cord development that are integral to tissue engineering remain poorly understood in placental mammals,especially in terms of their relationships with vital biological processes such as regeneration.Here,using a large-scale temporal transcriptomic analysis of rat spinal cord from the embryonic stage to adulthood,we show that fluctuating RNA expression levels reflect highly active transcriptional regulation,which may initiate spinal cord patterning.We also demonstrate that microRNAs(miRNAs)and transcriptional factors exhibit a mosaic profile based on their expression patterns,while differential alternative splicing events reveal that alternative splicing may be a driving force for the development of the node of Ranvier.Our study also supports the existence of a negative correlation between innate immunity and intrinsic growth capacity.Epigenetic modifications appear to perform their respective regulatory functions at different stages of development,while guanine nucleotidebinding protein(G protein)-coupled receptors(including olfactory receptors(ORs))may perform pleiotropic roles in axonal growth.This study provides a valuable resource for investigating spinal cord development and complements the increasing number of single-cell datasets.These findings also provide a genetic basis for the development of novel tissue engineering strategies.Jian Yang Lili Zhao Sheng Yi Fei Ding Yumin Yang Yan Liu Yongjun Wang Mei Liu Chengbin Xue Lian Xu Leilei Gong Xinghui Wang Yu Zhang Bin Yu Guo-li Ming Xiaosong Gu 2021Engineering2021,7,11:0

8Photonic-reconfigurable entanglement distribution network based on silicon quantum photonics显示文摘The entanglement distribution network connects remote users by sharing entanglement resources,which is essential for realizing quantum internet.We propose a photonic-reconfigurable entanglement distribution network(PR-EDN)based on a silicon quantum photonic chip.The entanglement resources are generated by a quantum light source array based on spontaneous four-wave mixing in silicon waveguides and distributed to different users through time-reversed Hong–Ou–Mandel interference by on-chip Mach–Zehnder interferometers with thermo-optic phase shifters(TOPSs).A chip sample is designed and fabricated,supporting a PR-EDN with3 subnets and 24 users.The network topology of the PR-EDN could be reconfigured in three network states by controlling the quantum interference through the TOPSs,which is demonstrated experimentally.Furthermore,a reconfigurable entanglement-based quantum key distribution network is realized as an application of the PR-EDN.The reconfigurable network topology makes the PR-EDN suitable for future quantum networks requiring complicated network control and management.Moreover,it is also shown that silicon quantum photonic chips have great potential for large-scale PR-EDN,thanks to their capacities for generating and manipulating plenty of entanglement resources.DONGNING LIU JINGYUAN LIU XIAOSONG REN XUE FENG FANG LIU KAIYU CUI YIDONG HUANG WEI ZHANG 2023Photonics Research2023,11,7:0

11Role of the rhizosphere of a flooding-tolerant herb in promoting mercury methylation in water-level fluctuation zones显示文摘The water-level fluctuation zone(WLFZ) has been considered as a hotspot for mercury(Hg) methylation. Flooding-tolerant herbs are gradually acclimated to this water-land ecotone, tending to form substantial root systems for improving erosion resistance. Accompanying rhizosphere microzone plays crucial but unclear roles in methylmercury(Me Hg) formation in the WLFZ. Thus, we conducted this study in the WLFZ of the Three Gorges Reservoir, to explore effects of the rhizosphere of a dominant flooding-tolerant herb(bermudagrass) on Me Hg production. The elevated Hg and Me Hg in rhizosphere soils suggest that the rhizosphere environment provides favorable conditions for Hg accumulation and methylation. The increased bioavailable Hg and microbial activity in the rhizosphere probably serve as important factors driving Me Hg formation in the presence of bermudagrass. Simultaneously, the rhizosphere environments changed the richness, diversity, and distribution of hgc A-containing microorganisms. Here, a typical ironreducing bacterium( Geobacteraceae) has been screened, however, the majority of hgc A genes detected in rhizosphere, near-, and non-rhizosphere soils of the WLFZ were unclassified.
