2Regenerative Role of Soil Seed Banks of Different Successional Stages in A Saline-alkaline Grassland in Northeast China显示文摘Soil seed banks can act as a potential seed source for natural revegetation and restoration. However, in a saline-alkaline grassland, it remains unclear how the stages of vegetation succession affect the characteristics of soil seed banks and the potential of soil seed banks of different successional stages for vegetation restoration. In this study, seasonal changes of the soil seed bank, and seed production and dispersal dynamics along degradation successional gradients were investigated in a saline-alkaline grassland in Northeast China, where the dominant grass during the 1960 s, Leymus chinensis was replaced with the secondary successional order of Puccinellia chinampoensis, Chloris virgata, and Suaeda salsa, together with bare patches. It was found that the soil seed bank composition varied according to the changing vegetation and had the highest species richness(7–16) in the climax successional stage, but had a low S?rensen similarity(0.22–0.37) with the aboveground vegetation. There was a high seed density of the soil seed bank(21 062–62 166/m2 in August and December) and also high S?rensen similarity index values(0.47–0.60) in the secondary successional stages of P. chinampoensis, C. virgata, and S. salsa. In bare patches, there were many seeds in the soil seed bank and some seedlings also appeared in the aboveground vegetation, indicating the existence of a persistent soil seed bank. Seed density and species richness differed substantially among the different successional stages, which was related to the reproductive characteristics of the standing plants in vegetation communities. Due to the lack of propagules of perennial species, especially the climax species of L. chinensis, in the soil, the successful restoration of the degraded saline-alkaline grassland was not possible. The study proved that in a degraded saline-alkaline grassland dominated by biennial or annual species, the soil seed bank was important for the revegetation of the current dominant plants, but not for the restoration of the original target species. 6Effect of specifically-adsorbed polysulfides on the electron transfer kinetics of sodium metal anodes显示文摘Room-temperature sodium-sulfur(RT Na-S)batteries hold great promise for large-scale energy storage applications owing to the high energy density and earth-abundance of Na and S.However,the dissolution and migration of sodium polysulfides,uncontrollable Na dendrite growth,and the lack of studies on Na electrodeposition kinetics have hindered the development of these batteries.Herein,we reveal the mechanism of sodium polysulfides on the Na plating/stripping kinetics using a three-electrode system.First,the kinetic behavior deviates from the commonly supposed Butler-Volmer model,which is well described by the Marcus model.In addition,the specific adsorption of polysulfides on the sodium electrode surface is a key factor influencing the kinetics.Higher-order polysulfides(S_(8)^(2-)and S_(6)^(2-))exhibit distinct specific adsorption behaviors because of their high adsorption energies compared to lower-order polysulfides(S_(4)^(2-)and S_(2)^(2-)).The electrostatic effect caused by specific adsorption can accelerate the kinetics,whereas the blocking effect can slow the kinetics.Thus,this competitive relationship enables low concentrations of high-order polysulfides to stimulate kinetics.This implies that a weak shuttle effect is beneficial for obtaining a stable Na deposition in RT Na-S batteries.An in-depth understanding of the Na electrodeposition kinetics provides beneficial clues for future metal sodium/electrolyte interface designs.Huazhao Yang Yu Li Xianxian Zhou Xiaotao Ma Donghong Duan Shibin Liu 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,11:1

13Estimation of Surface Soil Moisture from ASAR Dual-Polarized Data in the Middle Stream of the Heihe River Basin显示文摘In this paper, a new approach was introduced to estimate surface soil moisture using alternating polarization (AP) data of advanced synthetic aperture radar (ASAR). First, synthetic aperture radar (SAR) backscattering characteristic of bare surface at C band was simulated using advanced integrated equation model (AIEM), and four bare surface backscattering models with different polarization were established. In addition, with simultaneous equations of the former four formulas, the surface roughness was eliminated, and models used to estimate soil moisture on bare surface were derived from simulated multipolarization and multiangle ASAR-AP data. Based on these, the best combination of polarization and incident angle was determined. Finally, soil moisture in the middle stream of the Heihe River Basin was estimated. 18Preparation of bunched CeO_(2) and study on microwave absorbing properties with MWCNTs binary composite显示文摘A novel bunched cerium oxide(CeO_(2))was prepared and its binary composite material with multi-walled carbon nanotubes presented an excellent microwave absorbing properties.The morphology,structure,and absorbing properties of the composite material were investigated.It was found that the minimum reflection loss(RL)of the composite material at 15.79 GHz was−45.7 dB when the thickness was 5.5 mm.It was worth noting that when the composite material was in the thickness range of 5.0-7.5 mm and the frequency was 11.36-17.77 GHz,the electromagnetic wave RL was<−30 dB,which illustrated that the composite material had a good absorbing effect over a wide thickness range.The results of the study contributed to the design and preparation of efficient microwave absorbing materials(MAM)with rare earth oxide composites and their applications,which demonstrated the importance of new composites with special structures in the field of MAM.Yingjie Guo Xiangrui Song Sihang Ma Yinghe Qi Xiaotao Yuan Huili Fan 2023Particuology2023,,2:0
19Effects of various donor:acceptor blend ratios on photophysical properties in non-fullerene organic bulk heterojunctions显示文摘The composition ratio of donor and acceptor materials in organic bulk heterojunction (BHJ) is one of the key parameters to govern the performance in organic solar cells (OSCs). Therefore, high-performance non-fullerene organic bulk heterojunction consisting of poly[(2,6-(4,8-bis(5-(2-ethylhexyl)thiophen-2-yl)benzo[1,2-b:4,5-b' ]dithiophene))-co-(1,3-di(5-thiophene-2-yl)–5,7-bis(2-ethylhexyl) benzo[1,2-c:4,5-c']dithiophene-4,8-dione)] (PBDB-T) and 3,9-bis(2-methylene-(3-(1,1-dicyanomethylene)-indanone))–5,5,11,11-tetrakis(4-hexylphenyl)-dithieno[2,3-d:2' ,3'-d' ]-s-indaceno[1,2-b:5,6-b' ]-dithio-phene (ITIC) are used to investigate the correlation among various donor: acceptor (D:A) ratios, photophysical properties and photovoltaic performance. Interestingly, the function of short-circuit current (Jsc) and D:A ratios demonstrates an axisymmetric trend. When the blending ratio of D:A deviates from the optimal ratio, the symmetrically decreased Jsc is derived from a reduction in the D:A interface or amorphous region. Research on the steady-state photoluminescence (PL), the time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy measurements, atomic force microscopic (AFM) and grazing-incidence small angle X-rays scattering (GIWAXS) indicates no significant variation in energy loss in the process of changing D:A ratios in BHJs. 20Quantitative Detection of Corrosion State of Concrete Internal Reinforcement Based on Metal Magnetic Memory显示文摘Corrosion can be very harmful to the service life and several properties of reinforced concrete structures.The metal magnetic memory(MMM)method,as a newly developed spontaneous magnetic flux leakage(SMFL)non-destructive testing(NDT)technique,is considered a potentially viable method for detecting corrosion damage in reinforced concrete members.To this end,in this paper,the indoor electrochemical method was employed to accelerate the corrosion of outsourced concrete specimens with different steel bar diameters,and the normal components Bz and its gradient of the SMFL fields on the specimen surfaces were investigated based on the metal magnetic memory(MMM)method.The experimental results showed that the SMFL experimental Bz curves are consistent with the analytical results of the theoretical model.Furthermore,the crest-to-trough behavior on the Bz signal curve and its zero-point gradient spacing can more accurately indicate the corroded area’s extent.Then,a magnetic characteristic parameter W based on a large amount of experimental data was established to characterize the degree of corrosion of the steel bars.The magnetic characteristic parameter W is linearly related to the maximum cross-sectional area loss rateof the corroded reinforcement.This paper will lay the foundation for future research on corrosion detection of reinforced concrete structures based on the MMM method and provide a feasible way for non-destructive detection of corrosion independent of the influence of reinforcement diameter and magnetization history.Zhongguo Tang Haijin Zhuo Beian Li Xiaotao Ma Siyu Zhao Kai Tong 2023Structural Durability & Health Monitoring2023,17,5:0
