Dense coding scheme using superpositions of Bell-states and its NMR implementation显示文摘Dense coding using superpositions of Bell-states is proposed. The generalized Grover's algorithm is used to prepare the initial entangled states, and the reverse process of the quantum algorithm is used to determine the entangled state in the decoding measurement. Compared with the previous schemes, the superpositions of two Bell-states are exploited. Our scheme is demonstrated using a nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)quantum computer. The corresponding manipulations are obtained. Experimental results show a good agreement between theory and experiment. We also generalize the scheme to transmit eight messages by introducing an additional two-state system. | ZHANG Jingfu, XIE Jingyi, DENG Zhiwei & LU Zhiheng Key Laboratory for Quantum Information and Measurements, Department of Physics, Tsinghua University, Beijing 100084, China Center for Quantum Information, Tsinghua University, Beijing 100084, China Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Beijing Normal University, Beijing 100875, China Testing and Analytical Center, Beijing Normal University, Beijing 100875, China Department of Physics, Beijing Normal University, Beijing 100875, China | 2005 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2005,48,1: | 18

CD147-spike protein is a novel route for SARS-CoV-2 infection to host cells显示文摘In face of the everlasting battle toward COVID-19 and the rapid evolution of SARS-CoV-2,no specific and effective drugs for treating this disease have been reported until today.Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2),a receptor of SARS-CoV-2,mediates the virus infection by binding to spike protein.Although ACE2 is expressed in the lung, kidney, and intestine, its expressing levels are rather low, especially in the lung.Considering the great infectivity of COVID-19,we speculate that SARS-CoV-2 may depend on other routes to facilitate its infection. Here,we first discover an interaction between host cell receptor CD147 and SARS-CoV-2 spike protein. The loss of CD147 or blocking CD147 in Vero E6 and BEAS-2B cell lines by anti-CD147 antibody,Meplazumab, inhibits SARSCoV-2 amplification.Expression of human CD147 allows virus entry into non-susceptible BHK-21 cells, which can be neutralized by CD147 extracellular fragment.Viral loads are detectable in the lungs of human CD147(hCD147)mice infected with SARS-CoV-2,but not in those of virus-infected wild type mice.Interestingly, virions are observed in lymphocytes of lung tissue from a COVID-19 patient.Human T cells with a property of ACE2 natural deficiency can be infected with SARS-CoV-2 pseudovirus in a dosedependent manner, which is specifically inhibited by Meplazumab.Furthermore,CD147 mediates virus entering host cells by endocytosis.Together, our study reveals a novel virus entry route,CD147-spike protein, which provides an important target for developing specific and effective drug against COVID-19. | Ke Wang Wei Chen Zheng Zhang Yongqiang Deng Jian-Qi Lian Peng Du Ding Wei Yang Zhang Xiu-Xuan Sun Li Gong Xu Yang Lei He Lei Zhang Zhiwei Yang Jie-Jie Geng Ruo Chen Hai Zhang Bin Wang Yu-Meng Zhu Gang Nan Jian-Li Jiang Ling Li Jiao Wu Peng Lin Wan Huang Liangzhi Xie Zhao-Hui Zheng Kui Zhang Jin-Lin Miao Hong-Yong Cui Min Huang Jun Zhang Ling Fu Xiang-Min Yang Zhongpeng Zhao Shihui Sun Hongjing Gu Zhe Wang Chun-Fu Wang Yacheng Lu Ying-Ying Liu Qing-Yi Wang Huijie Bian Ping Zhu Zhi-Nan Chen | 2020 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1: | 9
Advances in research of the mid-deep South China Sea circulation显示文摘The South China Sea(SCS)is a large marginal sea connecting the Indian and Pacific oceans.Under the factors of monsoons, strait transport, and varied bathymetry, the SCS presents a three-layer structure and strong diapycnal mixing which is far greater than that in the open ocean.Theoretical analysis and observations reveal that internal tides, internal solitary waves, and strong winds are the sources of the strong mixing in the northern SCS.A major consequence of the strong mixing is an active mid-deep circulation system. This system promotes exchange of water between the SCS and adjacent oceans, and also regulates the upper layer of wind-driven circulation, making the 3 dimensional SCS circulation clearly different from that in other tropical and subtropical marginal seas. The mass transport capacity of the mid-deep circulation has a substantial impact on marine sedimentation, the biogeochemical cycle, and other processes in the SCS.This paper summarizes the recent advances in middeep sea circulation dynamics of the SCS,and discusses the opportunities and challenges in this area. | Dongxiao WANG Qiang WANG Shuqun CAI Xiaodong SHANG Shiqiu PENG Yeqiang SHU Jingen XIAO Xiaohui XIE Zhiwei ZHANG Zhiqiang LIU Jian LAN Dake CHEN Huijie XUE Guihua WANG Jianping GAN Xinong XIE Rui ZHANG Hui CHEN Qingxuan YANG | 2019 | Science China Earth Sciences2019,62,12: | 8
Ultrasound-Assisted Transient Liquid Phase Bonding of Magnesium Alloy Using Brass Interlayer in Air显示文摘The microstructure evolution and oxide film behavior in ultrasound-assisted transient liquid phase(U-TLP) bonding of Mg alloy were investigated by applying different ultrasonic time at 460?C with brass interlayer in air. The results indicated that with increasing ultrasonic time, brass interlayer disappeared gradually and the Mg-Cu-Zn eutectic compounds were formed. The eutectic compounds in the joint decreased as the ultrasonic time increased further. The oxide removal process was divided into four steps. Continuous oxide film at the interface was partially fractured by ultrasonic vibration, and then suspended into liquid by undermining eutectic reaction. After that, the suspended oxide film was broken into small oxide fragments by ultrasonic cavitation effect, which was finally squeezed out of the joint by ultrasonic squeeze action. In addition, the mechanical properties of the joints were investigated. The maximum shear strength of the joint reached 105 MPa, which was 100% of base metal. | Zhiwei Lai Ruishan Xie Chuan Pan Xiaoguang Chen Lei Liu Wenxian Wang Guisheng Zou | 2017 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2017,33,6: | 7
Interfacial Structure and Formation Mechanism of Ultrasonic-assisted Brazed Joint of SiC Ceramics with Al—12Si Filler Metals in Air显示文摘Ultrasonic-assisted brazing of SiC ceramics was performed by filling with an Al—12Si alloy at a low temperature of 620 °C in air. The interfacial characteristics and formation mechanism were investigated. The joint shear strength reached 84–94 MPa using the ultrasonic time of 2–16 s. The fracture morphology showed that the fracture path initiated and propagated in the joint alloy. The thin film of amorphous SiO 2 that formed on the SiC surface was non-uniformly decomposed and diffused into the liquid Al—12Si alloy under the cavitation erosion effect of ultrasound. Abnormal isolated blocks of Al_2 SiO_5 compounds formed at the interface between Al—12Si and a thicker SiO_2 layer formed during the thermal oxidation treatment of the Si C ceramic. The SiO_2 layer on the Si C ceramic did not hinder or impair the wetting and bonding process, and a stronger bond could form between Al—12Si and SiO_2 or Si C in ultrasonicassisted brazing. | Xiaoguang Chen Ruishan Xie Zhiwei Lai Lei Liu Jiuchun Yan Guisheng Zou | 2017 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2017,33,5: | 6
Recent advances in photodynamic therapy based on emerging two-dimensional layered nanomaterials显示文摘Photodynamic therapy(PDT)is a promising non-invasive therapy approach for various diseases including malignant tumor. The process of PDT involves three interrelated aspects, namely photosensitizer(PS),light source, and oxygen, among which PS is the decisive factor that determines its anticancer efficiency. There exist some defects in currently applied PDT,such as inadequate production of reactive oxygen species(ROS),poor penetration of exciting light, insufficient oxygen supply, and nonselective distribution of PS.With unique physicochemical and optical properties,two-dimensional nanomaterials(2DNMs)have aroused great interest in biomedical fields.2DNMs-based PDT is promising to significantly improve antitumor efficacy compared to conventional PDT.In this review,we will firstly introduce the underlying mechanism of PDT and how 2DNMs are absorbed and distribute inside tumor cells. After that,we will not only illustrate how 2DNMs-based PDT can enhance tumor-killing efficacy and minimize side-effects through conquering the above-mentioned defects of conventional PDT and the preparation process of 2DNMs,but also elaborate recent advances about 2DNMs-based PDT.Lastly,we will summarize the challenges and future prospects of 2DNMs-based PDT. | Xinqiang Wu Xiaofeng Jiang Taojian Fan Zhiwei Zheng Zhaoyuan Liu Yubin Chen Liangqi Cao Zhongjian Xie Dawei Zhang Jiaqi Zhao Qiwen Wang Zhenhui Huang Zhijian Chen Ping Xue Han Zhang | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,6: | 6
Study on Quantum Trust Model Based on Node Trust Evaluation显示文摘Trust is the premise and foundation of secure communication,no matter in the quantum communication or classical communication. In fact, the existing quantum secure communication protocols and technologies are implicitly related to trust;or assume some trust premise in advance;or create or obtain a trust relationship. This paper studies on quantum trust model using node trust evaluation based on author’s own research achievements. We introduce the trust management into quantum communication network to build secure trusted quantum communication network based on evaluating the trust values of nodes, which are used to evaluate the reliability of each user.We put forward a scheme of quantum trust model based on node trust evaluation, and describe the thought and process of trust evaluation in detail based on the principles of quantum entanglement and quantum teleportation. We analyze the feasibility and safety of this scheme, which provides a new thinking and method for establishing a credible secure quantum communication network. | ZHANG Shibin XIE Zhihai YIN Yifen CHANG Yan SHENG Zhiwei YAN Lili WANG Haichun HAN Guihua HUANG Yuanyuan WAN Guogen | 2017 | Chinese Journal of Electronics2017,26,3: | 5

The histone methyltransferase EZH2 primes the early differentiation of follicular helper T cells during acute viral infection显示文摘Epigenetic modifications to histones dictate the differentiation of naïve CD4^(+) T cells into different subsets of effector T helper(TH)cells. The histone methyltransferase enhancer of zeste homolog 2(EZH2)has been implicated in the mechanism regulating the differentiation of TH1,TH2 and regulatory T(Treg)cells. However, whether and how EZH2 regulates follicular helper T(TFH)cell differentiation remain unknown.Using a mouse model of acute lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus(LCMV)infection,we observed abundant EZH2 expression and associated H3K27me3 modifications preferentially in the early committed virus-specific TFH cells compared to those in TH1 cells.Ablation of EZH2 in LCMV-specific CD4^(+) T cells leads to a selective impairment of early TFH cell fate commitment, but not late TFH differentiation or memory TFH maintenance.Mechanistically,EZH2 specifically stabilizes the chromatin accessibility of a cluster of genes that are important for TFH fate commitment, particularly B cell lymphoma 6(Bcl6),and thus directs TFH cell commitment. Therefore,we identified the chromatin-modifying enzyme EZH2 as a novel regulator of early TFH differentiation during acute viral infection. | Xiangyu Chen Guoshuai Cao Jialin Wu Xinxin Wang Zhiwei Pan Jianbao Gao Qin Tian Lifan Xu Zhirong Li Yaxing Hao Qizhao Huang Pengcheng Wang Minglu Xiao Luoyingzi Xie Shupei Tang Zhenyu Liu Li Hu Jianfang Tang Ran He Li Wang Xinyuan Zhou Yuzhang Wu Mengjie Chen Beicheng Sun Bo Zhu Jun Huang Lilin Ye | 2020 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2020,17,3: | 4
Synthesis of polycrystalline γ-AlON powders by novel wet chemical processing显示文摘The synthesis of polycrystalline aluminum oxynitride (AlON) powders was investigated by the carbothermal reduction and nitridation (CRN) of amorphous precursor obtained by wet chemical processing. Co-precipitation processing was employed to achieve amorphous precursor from Al(NO3)3 solution dispersed by nanosized carbon particles, which was composed of Al(OH)3 and C particles homogeneously. The effects of the content of carbon black, pH value, and calcination temperature on formation of AlON phase were investigated by means of XRD, SEM and TEM, respectively. It was found that single phase AlON powder could be synthesized when the resultant precursors were calcined at 1750°C for 2 hours under flowing N2 . Under optimal additional content of C (5.6wt%), the resultant AlON powders exhibited the primary particle size of about 1-3 μm with a specific surface area of 3.2m2/g, which were superior to that of carbothermal reduction of immediate mixture of γ-Al2O3/C powders. | LEI JingXuan MA FeiZhong SHI Ying XIE JianJun HU Wei SHI ZhiWei | 2012 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,12: | 4

Targeting integrin pathways:mechanisms and advances in therapy显示文摘Integrins are considered the main cell-adhesion transmembrane receptors that play multifaceted roles as extracellular matrix(ECM)-cytoskeletal linkers and transducers in biochemical and mechanical signals between cells and their environment in a wide range of states in health and diseases.Integrin functions are dependable on a delicate balance between active and inactive status via multiple mechanisms, including protein-protein interactions, conformational changes, and trafficking.Due to their exposure on the cell surface and sensitivity to the molecular blockade, integrins have been investigated as pharmacological targets for nearly 40 years, but given the complexity of integrins and sometimes opposite characteristics, targeting integrin therapeutics has been a challenge. To date, only seven drugs targeting integrins have been successfully marketed, including abciximab, eptifibatide, tirofiban, natalizumab, vedolizumab, lifitegrast, and carotegrast.Currently, there are approximately 90 kinds of integrin-based therapeutic drugs or imaging agents in clinical studies, including small molecules, antibodies, synthetic mimic peptides,antibody-drug conjugates(ADCs),chimeric antigen receptor(CAR)T-cell therapy, imaging agents, etc.A serious lesson from past integrin drug discovery and research efforts is that successes rely on both a deep understanding of integrin-regulatory mechanisms and unmet clinical needs.Herein,we provide a systematic and complete review of all integrin family members and integrin-mediated downstream signal transduction to highlight ongoing efforts to develop new therapies/diagnoses from bench to clinic. In addition,we further discuss the trend of drug development, how to improve the success rate of clinical trials targeting integrin therapies, and the key points for clinical research, basic research, and translational research. | Xiaocong Pang Xu He Zhiwei Qiu Hanxu Zhang Ran Xie Zhiyan Liu Yanlun Gu Nan Zhao Qian Xiang Yimin Cui | 2023 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,2: | 3
Accelerated design and characterization of non-uniform cellular materials via a machine-learning based framework显示文摘Cellular materials, widely found in engineered and nature systems, are highly dependent on their geometric arrangement.A nonuniform arrangement could lead to a significant variation of mechanical properties while bringing challenges in material design. Here, this proof-of-concept study demonstrates a machine-learning based framework with the capability of accelerated characterization and pattern generation. Results showed that the proposed framework is capable of predicting the mechanical response curve of any given geometric pattern within the design domain under appropriate neural network architecture and parameters.Additionally, the framework is capable of generating matching geometric patterns for a targeted response through a databank constructed from our machine learning model. The accuracy of the predictions was verified with finite element simulations and the sources of errors were identified.Overall, our machine-learning based framework can boost the design efficiency of cellular materials at unit level, and open new avenues for the programmability of function at system level. | Chunping Ma Zhiwei Zhang Benjamin Luce Simon Pusateri Binglin Xie Mohammad H.Rafiei Nan Hu | 2020 | npj Computational Materials2020,,1: | 3
Large electrocaloric effect in BaTiO_3 based multilayer ceramic capacitors显示文摘The electrocaloric effect(ECE) of multilayer ceramic capacitor(MLCC) of Y5 V type was directly measured via a differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) method and a reference resistor was used to calibrate the heat flow due to the heat dissipation. The results are compared with those calculated from Maxwell relations by using the polarization data obtained from the polarization–electric field hysteresis loops. The direct method shows a larger ECE temperature change, which is accounted for the situation approaches an ideal condition. For the indirect method using Maxwell relations, only the polarization projection along the electric field was taken into account, which will be less than the randomly distributed real polarizations that contribute to the ECE. The MLCCs exhibit a broad peak of ECE around 80 C, which will be favorite for the practical ECE cooling devices. | LU Biao WEN XinHua TANG ZhenHua LIANG Bo TAO Tao XIE ZhiWei ZHANG TianFu TANG XinGui XIANG Yong LIAO Jie LU ShengGuo | 2016 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2016,59,7: | 3
