| 1 | Level of circulating PD-L1 expression in patients with advanced gastric cancer and its clinical implications显示文摘Objective:The programmed cell death-1 receptor/programmed cell death-1 ligand(PD-1/PD-L1) pathway plays a crucial role in tumor evasion from host immunity.This study was designed to evaluate the association between circulating PD-L1 expression and prognosis in patients with advanced gastric cancer.Methods:Totally 80 advanced gastric cancer patients and 40 health controls from Beijing Cancer Hospital were enrolled in the present study.Circulating PD-L1 expression was tested by enzymelinked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).The associations between the expression level of PD-L1 and clinicopathological features and prognosis were analyzed statistically.Results:Expression of PD-L1 in advanced gastric cancer patients was significantly up-regulated compared with health people(P=0.006).The expression of PD-L1 was significantly correlated with differentiation and lymph node metastasis(P=0.026 and P=0.041,respectively).Although we didn't find significant difference in all advanced gastric cancer patients with different PD-L1 expression,the adenocarcinoma patients with higher up-regulated PD-L1 expression had much better prognosis than low expression patients(65.6% vs.44.7%,P=0.028).Conclusions:PD-L1 was elevated in advance gastric cancer patients and may play an important role in tumor immune evasion and patients prognosis. | Zhixue Zheng Zhaode Bu Xijuan Liu Lianhai Zhang Ziyu Li Aiwen Wu Xiaojiang Wu Xiaojing Cheng Xiaofang Xing Hong Du Xiaohong Wang Ying Hu Jiafu Ji | 2014 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2014,26,1: | 37 |
| 2 | Generation of GGTA1 biallelic knockout pigs via zinc-finger nucleases and somatic cell nuclear transfer显示文摘Genetically modified pigs are valuable models of human disease and donors of xenotransplanted organs.Conventional gene targeting in pig somatic cells is extremely inefficient.Zinc-finger nuclease(ZFN)technology has been shown to be a powerful tool for efficiently inducing mutations in the genome.However,ZFN-mediated targeting in pigs has rarely been achieved.Here,we used ZFNs to knock out the porcineα-1,3-galactosyl-transferase(GGTA1)gene,which generates Gal epitopes that trigger hyperacute immune rejection in pig-to-human transplantation.Primary pig fibroblasts were transfected with ZFNs targeting the coding region of GGTA1.Eighteen mono-allelic and four biallelic knockout cell clones were obtained after drug selection with efficiencies of 23.4%and 5.2%,respectively.The biallelic cells were used to produce cloned pigs via somatic cell nuclear transfer(SCNT).Three GGTA1 null piglets were born,and one knockout primary fibroblast cell line was established from a cloned fetus.Gal epitopes on GGTA1 null pig cells were completely eliminated from the cell membrane.Functionally,GGTA1 knockout cells were protected from complement-mediated immune attacks when incubated with human serum.This study demonstrated that ZFN is an efficient tool in creating gene-modified pigs.GGTA1 null pigs and GGTA1 null fetal fibroblasts would benefit research and pig-to-human transplantation. | BAO Lei CHEN HaiDe JONG UiMyong RIM CholHo LI WenLing LIN XiJuan ZHANG Dan LUO Qiong CUI Chun HUANG HeFeng ZHANG Yan XIAO Lei FU ZhiXin | 2014 | Science China(Life Sciences)2014,57,2: | 9 |
| 3 | Polybrominated diphenyl ethers in chicken tissues and eggs from an electronic waste recycling area in southeast China显示文摘The levels and distributions of polybrominated diphenyl ethers(PBDEs) in chicken tissues from an electronic waste(e-waste) recycling area in southeast China were investigated.Human dietary intake by local residents via chicken muscle and eggs was estimated.The mean PBDEs concentrations in tissues ranged from 15.2 to 3138.1 ng/g lipid weight(lw) and in egg the concentration was 563.5 ng/g lw.The results showed that the level of total PBDEs(ΣPBDEs) in the chicken tissue was 2-3 orders of magnitude higher than those reported in the literature.The large difference of ΣPBDEs concentrations between tissues confirmed that the distribution of PBDEs in tissues depend on tissue-specificity rather than the 'lipid-compartment'.BDE-209 was the predominant congener(82.5%-94.7% of ΣPBDEs) in all chicken tissues except in brain(34.7% of ΣPBDEs),which indicated that deca-BDE(the major commercial PBDE formulation comprising 65%-70% of total production) was major pollution source in this area and could be bioaccumulated in terrestrial animals.The dietary PBDEs intake of the local residents from chicken muscle and egg,assuming only local bred chickens and eggs were consumed,ranged from 2.2 to 22.5 ng/(day·kg body weight(bw)) with a mean value of 13.5 ng/(day·kg bw),which was one order of magnitude higher than the value reported in previous studies for consumption of all foodstuffs. | Xiaofei Qin Zhanfen Qin Yan Li Yaxian Zhao Xijuan Xia Shishuai Yan Mi Tian Xingru Zhao Xiaobai Xu Yongjian Yang | 2011 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,1: | 8 |
| 4 | Ecotoxicological effects of mixed pollutants resulted from e-wastes recycling and bioaccumulation of polybrominated diphenyl ethers in Chinese loach(Misgurnus anguillicaudatus)显示文摘To understand potential ecotoxicological effects of electrical and electronic equipment waste (e-waste) recycling and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) bioaccumulation in loaches, a semi-field experiment using Chinese loach (Misgurnus anguillicaudatus) as experimental fish was performed. Larval loaches were kept in net-cage for three months in an e-wastes recycling site and a reference site in Southeastern China. There was significant difference of the survival rate between the loaches from the e-wastes recycling site (27%, 19/70) and from reference site (70%, 49/70). Histopathological responses were also found in all the livers examined in loaches from the e-wastes recycling site. These results showed that mixed pollutants resulted from e-wastes recycling led to ecotoxicological effects on loaches. The bioaccumulation of polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), the main pollutants in e-waste, in loaches was also studied, the mean concentration of total PBDEs in sediment was 6726.17 ng/g wet weight and in water samples was 4.08 ng/L (dissolved phase). BDE 209 was the dominant congener in sediment and with relatively high concentration in water. | 5 | Thyroid disruption by technical decabromodiphenyl ether (DE-83R) at low concentrations in Xenopus laevis显示文摘Decabromodiphenyl ether (decaBDE),as a flame retardant,is widely produced and used.To study the thyroid disruption by technical decaBDE at low concentrations,Xenopus laevis tadpoles were exposed to technical decaBDE mixture DE-83R (1-1000 ng/L) in water from stage 46/47 (free swimming larvae,system of Nieuwkoop and Faber) to stage 62.DE-83R at concentration of 1000 ng/L significantly delayed the time to metamorphosis (presented by forelimb emergence,FLE).Histological examination showed that DE83R at all tested concentrations caused histological alterations-multilayer follicular epithelial cell and markedly increased follicle size accompanied by partial colloid depletion and increase in the peripheral colloid vacuolation,in thyroid glands.All tested concentrations of DE-83R also induced a down-regulation of thyroid receptor mRNA expression.These results demonstrated that technical decaBDE disrupted the thyroid system in X.laevis tadpoles.Analysis of polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) (sum of 39 congeners) in X.laevis indicated that mean concentrations of total PBDEs in X.laevis exposed to 1,10,100,1000 ng/L were 11.0,128.1,412.1,1400.2 ng/g wet weight,respectively.Considering that PBDEs burden of X.laevis tadpoles was close to PBDEs levels in amphibians as reported in previous studies,our study has raised new concerns for thyroid disruption in amphibians of technical decaBDE at environmentally relevant concentrations. | Xiaofei Qin Xijuan Xia Zhongzhi Yang Shishuai Yan Yaxian Zhao Rongguo Wei Yan Li Mi Tian Xingru Zhao Zhanfen Qin Xiaobai Xu | 2010 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,5: | 2 |

| 7 | High-performance magnesium ion asymmetric Ppy@FeOOH//Mn3O4 micro-supercapacitor显示文摘Micro-supercapacitors(MSCs)are attractive electrochemical energy storage devices owing to their high power density and extended cycling stability.However,relatively low areal energy density still hinders their practical applications.Here,an asymmetric Mg ion MSC with promising high energy density is fabricated.Firstly,indium tin oxide(ITO)NWs were synthesized by chemical vapor deposition as the excellent current collector.Subsequently,nanostructured Mn_(3)O_(4)and Ppy@FeOOH were deposited on the laser-engraved interdigital structure ITO NWs electrodes as the positive and negative electrodes,respectively.Beneficial from the hierarchical micro-nano structures of active materials,high conductive electron transport pathways,and charge-balanced asymmetric electrodes,the obtained MSC possesses a high potential window of 2.2 V and a high areal capacitance of 107.3 mF cm^(-2)at 0.2 mA cm^(-2).The insitu XRD,VSM,and ex-situ XPS results reveal that the primary energy storage mechanism of Mg ions in negative FeOOH electrode is Mg ions de-/intercalation and phase transition reaction of FeOOH.Furthermore,the MSC exhibits a high specific energy density of 71.18μWh cm^(-2)at a power density of 0.22 mWh cm^(-2)and capacitance retention of 85%after 5000 cycles with unvaried Coulombic efficiency.These results suggest promising applications of our MSC in miniaturized energy storage devices. | Xueliang Lv Yaxiong Zhang Xijuan Li Zhiye Fan Guo Liu Wenjian Zhang Jinyuan Zhou Erqing Xie Zhenxing Zhang | 2022 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,9: | 1 |

| 12 | The haplotype-resolved autotetraploid genome assembly provides insights into the genomic evolution and fruit divergence in wax apple(Syzygium samarangense(Blume)Merr.and Perry)显示文摘Wax apple(Syzygium samarangense)is an economically important fruit crop with great potential value to human health because of its richness in antioxidant substances.Here,we present a haplotype-resolved autotetraploid genome assembly of the wax apple with a size of 1.59 Gb.Comparative genomic analysis revealed three rounds of whole-genome duplication(WGD)events,including two independent WGDs after WGT-γ.Resequencing analysis of 35 accessions partitioned these individuals into two distinct groups,including 28 landraces and seven cultivated species,and several genes subject to selective sweeps possibly contributed to fruit growth,including the KRP1-like,IAA17-like,GME-like,and FLACCA-like genes.Transcriptome analysis of three different varieties during flower and fruit development identified key genes related to fruit size,sugar content,and male sterility.We found that AP2 also affected fruit size by regulating sepal development in wax apples.The expression of sugar transport-related genes(SWEETs and SUTs)was high in‘ZY’,likely contributing to its high sugar content.Male sterility in‘Tub’was associated with tapetal abnormalities due to the decreased expression of DYT1,TDF1,and AMS,which affected early tapetum development.The chromosome-scale genome and large-scale transcriptome data presented in this study offer new valuable resources for biological research on S.samarangense and shed new light on fruit size control,sugar metabolism,and male sterility regulatory metabolism in wax apple. | Xiuqing Wei Min Chen Xijuan Zhang Yinghao Wang Liang Li Ling Xu Huanhuan Wang Mengwei Jiang Caihui Wang Lihui Zeng Jiahui Xu | 2023 | Horticulture Research2023,10,12: | 0 |

Based on the study,it shows that although the patent applications fluctuate,the general trend is rising. And the patents are mostly concentrated in plant protection,and agricultural biotechnology. The Chinese applicants of patents for invention largely work in the research institutes,and most of these patents focus on the field of plant protection,agricultural biotechnology,and agro-processing.However,the foreign applicants mainly work in companies,and most of these patents only focus on plant protection. | 17 | Highly selective recognition of adenosine 5′-triphosphate against other nucleosides triphosphate with a luminescent metal-organic framework of [Zn(BDC)(H_2O)_2]_n(BDC = 1,4-benzenedicarboxylate)显示文摘Selective recognition of adenosine 5′-triphosphate(ATP)is of great significance owing to its indispensable functions to organisms.Also,it is a challenging task because other nucleosides triphosphate hold the same triphosphate group and structurally planar bases as ATP.It is known that metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)are a new type of sensing material.In this work,highly selective recognition of ATP against other nucleosides triphosphate is successfully achieved with a luminescent MOF of[Zn(BDC)(H2O)2]n(BDC2=1,4-benzenedicarboxylate).[Zn(BDC)(H2O)2]n dispersed in water shows a remarkable redshift of the emission wavelength upon addition of ATP,while cytidine 5′-triphosphate(CTP),uridine 5′-triphosphate(UTP),and guanosine 5′-triphosphate(GTP),as well as some inorganic anions such as P2O74 or PO43 can’t induce such spectral change as ATP.1H NMR,31P NMR and Raman spectra indicate that both-stacking interactions and the coordination of Zn(II)with adenine and the phosphate group are involved in the interaction of[Zn(BDC)(H2O)2]n with ATP.In addition,the experimental results showed that the redshift extent of the emission wavelength of[Zn(BDC)(H2O)2]n has the linear relationship with the concentration of ATP in the range of 0.3–1.8 mmol/L.Based on this,the detection of ATP content in the sample of ATP injection was made with satisfactory results.This system pioneers the application of MOFs in the recognition of nucleotides,and testifies that the participation of base in the recognition process can improve the selectivity against the other nucleotides. | ZHAO XiJuan FANG JingMei LI YuanFang HUANG ChengZhi | 2013 | Science China Chemistry2013,56,11: | 0 |

An N +2-state Markov transition model is constructed for analyzing arbitrary packet transmission process with limited retransmission. Then the system's steadystate distribution is derived by using the Kolmogorov equations.Further, the mean packet transmission delay and startup delay are obtained respectively; the channel utilization is derived based on discrete-time Geom/G/1 queue model with startup. Also, we get the energy efficiency of the MRC-GBn-ARQ based on energy analytical model. Especially, the presented models are contrary to the classical ARQ protocols of always allowing infinite retransmission, and our analysis of the MRC-GBn-ARQ protocol with limited retransmission provides theoretical results for reducing the system's delay and energy consumption.
