1Simulating and validating the effects of slope frost heaving on canal bed saturated soil using coupled heat-moisture-deformation model显示文摘The lining canals in seasonal frozen soil areas can be severely damaged by frost heaving.The freezing and thawing contributes to the continual change of the temperature field and moisture field beneath lining canal,which will seriously affect the safe operation of the canal.In order to study the frost heaving damage mechanism of lining canal and to solve the associated engineering problems,the permafrost body was regarded as an elastomer,and a three-field,coupled,partial differential equation describing the temperature,moisture and deformation fields for a saturated two-dimensional canal bed was derived and established based on the Harlan model.The coupling equations were discretized using the finite element method in space and the finite difference method in time.The parameters were simplified appropriately based on compliance with the actual conditions and were simulated using finite element software.The results of a sample simulation showed that the simulated results and test results were basically consistent with variation laws,which proved the correctness of the numerical simulation theory and solution methods and the reliability of the calculation.The model can simulate the water,heat and deformation issues in the side slope of saturated canal bed soil in a seasonally frozen area and forecast freezing damage in the canals.Wang Enliang Fu Qiang Liu Xingchao Li Tianxiao Li Jinling 2017International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,2:3
2A compact 3D block cutting and contact searching algorithm显示文摘The geometry relation and the contact point-pairs detection between two three dimensional(3D) objects with arbitrary shapes are essential problems involved in discontinuous computation and computational geometry. This paper reported a geometry relation judgment and contact searching algorithm based on Contact Theory. A contact cover search algorithm is proposed to find all the possible contact cover between two blocks. Two blocks can come to contact only on these covers. Each contact cover can define a possible contact point-pair between two blocks. Data structure and flow chart are provided, as well as some examples in details.Contact problems involving concave blocks or parallel planes are considered to be very difficult in past and are solved by this algorithm. The proposed algorithm is compacted and applicable to the discontinuous computation, such as robotic control, rock mass stability, dam stability etc. A 3D cutting and block searching algorithm is also proposed in this study and used to search the outer boundary of the 3D entrance block when 3D concave blocks are encountered. 4CBERS-02 Application Assessment显示文摘As the successor of CBERS-01, CBERS-02 was launched successfully on 21October 2003 and transmitted its first downlink data the next day. According to the OBT (On Board Test) outline, CRESDA cooperated with CAST and many remote sensing organizations in China in implementing the test of the satellite payloads, ground processing system and data application. In this paper, the test is briefly illustrated in three parts: Ⅰ. Satellite Parameters Test (especially the test for payloads), Ⅱ. Payload Image Quality Assessment, and Ⅲ. Data Application Assessment. 5Enhanced room-temperature Naþionic conductivity in Na_(4.92)Y_(0.92)Zr_(0.08)Si_(4)O_(12)显示文摘Developing cost-effective and reliable solid-state sodium batteries with superior performance is crucial for stationary energy storage.A key component in facilitating their application is a solid-state electrolyte with high conductivity and stability.Herein,we employed aliovalent cation substitution to enhance ionic conductivity while preserving the crystal structure.Optimized substitution of Y^(3+)with Zr^(4+)in Na_(5)YSi_(4)O_(12) introduced Naþion vacancies,resulting in high bulk and total conductivities of up to 6.5 and 3.3 mS cm^(-1),respectively,at room temperature with the composition Na_(4.92)Y_(0.92)Zr_(0.08)Si_(4)O_(12)(NYZS).NYZS shows exceptional electrochemical stability(up to 10 V vs.Naþ/Na),favorable interfacial compatibility with Na,and an excellent critical current density of 2.4 mA cm^(-2).The enhanced conductivity of Naþions in NYZS was elucidated using solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance techniques and theoretical simulations,revealing two migration routes facilitated by the synergistic effect of increased Naþion vacancies and improved chemical environment due to Zr^(4+)substitution.NYZS extends the list of suitable solid-state electrolytes and enables the facile synthesis of stable,low-cost Naþion silicate electrolytes.Aikai Yang Kai Yao Mareen Schaller Enkhtsetseg Dashjav Hang Li Shuo Zhao Qiu Zhang Martin Etter Xingchen Shen Huimin Song Qiongqiong Lu Ruijie Ye Igor Moudrakovski Quanquan Pang Sylvio Indris Xingchao Wang Qianli Ma Frank Tietz Jun Chen Olivier Guillon 2023eScience2023,3,6:0

8Integrated global analysis in spider flowers illuminates features underlying the evolution and maintenance of C_(4) photosynthesis显示文摘The carbon concentrating mechanism—C_(4) photosynthesis—represents a classic example of convergent evolution,but how this important trait originated and evolved remains largely enigmatic.The spider flower Gynandropsis gynandra is a valuable leafy vegetable crop and medicinal plant that has also been recognized as a C_(4) model species.Here we present a high-quality chromosome-scale annotated genome assembly of G.gynandra through a combination of Oxford Nanopore Technology(ONT),HiFi and Hi-C technology.The 17 super-scaffolds cover 98.66% of the estimated genome(997.61 Mb),with a contig N50 of 11.43 Mb and a scaffold N50 of 51.02 Mb.Repetitive elements occupy up to 71.91% of its genome,and over half are long terminal repeat retrotransposons(LTR-RTs)derived from recent bursts,contributing to genome size expansion.Strikingly,LTR-RT explosion also played a critical role in C_(4) evolution by altering expression features of photosynthesis-associated genes via preferential insertion in promoters.Integrated multiomics analyses of G.gynandra and the ornamental horticulture C3 relative Tarenaya hassleriana reveal that species-specific whole-genome duplication,gene family expansion,recent LTR–RT amplification,and more recent tandem duplication events have all facilitated the evolution of C_(4) photosynthesis,revealing uniqueness of C_(4) evolution in the Cleome genus.Moreover,high leaf vein density and heat stress resilience are associated with shifted gene expression patterns.The mode of C_(3)-to-C_(4) transition found here yields new insights into evolutionary convergence of a complex plant trait.The availability of this reference-grade genomic resource makes G.gynandra an ideal model system facilitating efforts toward C4-aimed crop engineering.Wei Zhao Jun Li Xingchao Sun Qiwei Zheng Jing Liu Wei Hua Jun Liu 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,8:0
9A novel medium-entropy(TiVNb)_(2)AlC MAX phase:Fabrication,microstructure,and properties显示文摘Medium-or high-entropy materials have great potential for applications due to their diverse compo-sitions and unexpected physicochemical properties.Herein,a novel medium-entropy(TiVNb)_(2)AlC was synthesized via hot pressing at 1400℃from three individual M_(2)AlC(M=Ti,V,Nb)MAX phases.The microstructure of(TiVNb)_(2)AlC was characterized from the microscale to the atomic scale by scanning electron microscope microscopy(SEM),scanning transmission electron microscopy(STEM),and energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS).The results showed that Ti,V,and Nb atoms were fully solid-soluble in the M-sites of the M_(2)AlC MAX phase.Compared with three individual MAX phases,the thermal conduc-tivity of(TiVNb)_(2)AlC was reduced greatly in the temperature range of 293-1473 K,and its mechanical properties(including Young’s modulus,Vickers hardness,and bending strength)were all increased due to the solid solution strengthening and electronic mechanism.Guangqi He Yi Zhang Pei Yao Xingchao Li Ke Ma Jun Zuo Meishuan Li Changsheng Liu Jingjun Xu 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,6:0

11Oxidation behavior of non-stoichiometric(Zr,Hf,Ti)C_(x) carbide solid solution powders in air显示文摘Multi-component solid solutions with non-stoichiometric compositions are characteristics of ultra-high temperature carbides as promising materials for hypersonic vehicles.However,for group IV transition-metal carbides,the oxidation behavior of multi-component non-stoichiometric(Zr,Hf,Ti)C_(x)carbide solid solution has not been clarified yet.The present work fabricated four kinds of(Zr,Hf,Ti)C_(x)carbide solid solution powders by free-pressureless spark plasma sintering to investigate the oxidation behavior of(Zr,Hf,Ti)C_(x)in air.The effects of metallic atom composition on oxidation resistance were examined.The results indicate that the oxidation kinetics of(Zr,Hf,Ti)C_(x)are composition dependent.A high Hf content in(Zr,Hf,Ti)C_(x)was beneficial to form an amorphous Zr-Hf-Ti-C-0 oxycarbide layer as an oxygen barrier to enhance the initial oxidation resistance.Meanwhile,an equiatomic ratio of metallic atoms reduced the growth rate of(Zr,Hf,Ti)O_(2)oxide,increasing its phase stability at high temperatures,which improved the oxidation activation energy of(Zr,Hf,Ti)C_(x).Huilin LUN Yi ZENG Xiang XIONG Ziming YE Zhongwei ZHANG Xingchao LI Haikun CHEN Yufeng LIU 2021Journal of Advanced Ceramics2021,10,4:0
12Clinical features and prognostic factors of primary intracranial malignant fibrous histiocytoma:A report of 8 cases and a literature review显示文摘Objective: Primary intracranial malignant fibrous histiocytoma(MFH) is rare. We describe the detailed clinical features of 8 cases and fully review the literature to evaluate several prognostic factors. Methods: Eight patients with pathologically confirmed primary intracranial MFH were retrospectively reviewed. We searched Pub Med for relevant articles with the term 'intracranial malignant fibrous histiocytoma'. Results: Of the 8 patients, 4 were men and 4 were women. Three patients had received previous radiotherapy. The age of the patients ranged from 19 to 69 years, with a median age of 48 years. Most tumors could be totally resected; and only 1 tumor was subtotally resected. Six patients received postoperative radiotherapy and 3 patients received postoperative chemotherapy. Most patients died within the first year after surgery; and only 1 patient was still alive on the date of the last follow-up. We reviewed the literature and included a total of 46 patients in the Kaplan-Meier survival analysis. Young patients(less than 30 years old) seemed to have a better prognosis and survival rate than older patients(more than 30 years old)(log-rank test, P = 0.008).However, sex(P = 0.675), extent of resection(P = 0.934), postoperative radiotherapy(P = 0.592), and postoperative chemotherapy(P = 0.424) did not affect patient prognosis.Conclusions: The prognosis of MFH is usually poor, and most patients die within the first year after surgery. 13Post-traumatic cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea associated with craniofacial fibrous dysplasia:Case report and literature review显示文摘Objective: Fibrous dysplasia(FD) is an unusual developmental abnormality of the skeleton. When facial and cranial bones are involved in FD, it is termed craniofacial fibrous dysplasia(CFD). Although several reports have reported that CFD has a tendency for spontaneous cerebrospinal fluid(CSF) leakage, there have been no related English-language case reports. We present the first case of post-traumatic CSF rhinorrhea associated with CFD. Methods: A 30-year-old man presented with CSF rhinorrhea after a mild head trauma. Computed tomography cisternogram located a defect in the posterior wall of the right frontal sinus. Imaging examination also showed the evident expansion of multiple skull bones, spinal scoliosis, and multiple local enlargements of ribs.Without café-au-lait cutaneous spots and endocrine abnormalities, polyostotic FD was diagnosed instead of Mc Cune-Albright syndrome(MAS). The patient underwent craniotomy fistula repair surgery. The excised bone was contoured to be thinner to increase the cranial cavity. The patient recovered well and CSF leakage did not recur.But during a nineteen-month follow up, sight in the patient's left eye was decreased.MAS was suspected. Unfortunately the patient refused to take the proposed decompression surgery and laboratory tests of serum hormones. Conclusions: CFD, if the wall of the paranasal sinus is involved and the cranial cavity is decreased, may increase the risk of CSF rhinorrhea after head trauma.Expectant management is recommended in asymptomatic CFD patients even in the presence of optic nerve compression. 14Rotation errors in numerical manifold method and a correction based on large deformation theory显示文摘Numerical manifold method (NMM) is an effective method for simulating block system, however, significant errors are found in its simulation of rotation problems. Three kinds of errors, as volume expansion, stress vibration, and attenuation of angular velocity, were observed in the original NMM. The first two kind errors are owing to the small deformation assumption and the last one is due to the numerical damping. A large deformation NMM is proposed based on large deformation theory. In this method, the governing equation is derived using Green strain, the large deformation iteration and the open-close iteration are combined, and an updating strategy is proposed.
