| 2 | Surface current field and seasonal variability in the Kuroshio and adjacent regions derived from satellite-tracked drifter data显示文摘The multiyear averaged surface current field and seasonal variability in the Kuroshio and adjacent regions are studied.The data used are trajectories and(1/4)° latitude by(1/4)° longitude mean currents derived from 323 Argos drifters deployed by Chinese institutions and world ocean circulation experiment from 1979 to 2003.The results show that the Kuroshio surface path adapts well to the western boundary topography and exhibits six great turnings.The branching occurs frequently near anticyclonic turnings rather than near cyclonic ones.In the Luzon Strait,the surface water intrusion into the South China Sea occurs only in fall and winter.The Kuroshio surface path east of Taiwan,China appears nearly as straight lines in summer,fall,and winter,when anticyclonic eddies coexist on its right side;while the path may cyclonically turning in spring when no eddy exists.The Kuroshio intrusion northeast of Taiwan often occurs in fall and winter,but not in summer.The running direction,width and velocity of the middle segment of the Kuroshio surface currents in the East China Sea vary seasonally.The northward intrusion of the Kuroshio surface water southwest of Kyushu occurs in spring and fall,but not in summer.The northmost position of the Kuroshio surface path southwest of Kyushu occurs in fall,but never goes beyond 31°N.The northward surface current east of the Ryukyu Islands exists only along Okinawa-Amami Islands from spring to fall.In particular,it appears as an arm of an anticyclonic eddy in fall. | HU Xiaomin XIONG Xuejun QIAO Fangli GUO Binghuo LIN Xiaopei | 2008 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2008,27,3: | 23 |
| 3 | Guaranteeing Wireless Communication Secrecy via a WFRFT-Based Cooperative System显示文摘In this paper, a weighted fractional Fourier transform(WFRFT) based cooperative overlay system, aiming to guarantee physical layer(PHY) security, is proposed. The paper elaborates how WFRFT and physical layer properties of the wireless medium are collaborated to guarantee the secrecy of wireless transmissions. In the proposed system, WFRFT is first preform on the secret data, such that the transmitted signal is distorted and can only be neutralized by inverse-WFRFT with the same parameter. And then two streams of the transformed sequences that bearing different messages are cooperatively and simultaneously transmitted to two legitimate receivers via a beamforming-liked method, respectively. In general, both the rapid spatial decorrelation property and the inherent security features of WFRFT are leveraged, such that only the eavesdropper's is degraded, and hence, the wireless communication secrecy is reliably guaranteed. When the WDFT is considered in digital computation of the WFRFT, the Fourier transform in the definition of the WFRFT should be defined in frequency (Hz) but not angular frequency (rad/s). The sampling period Δt and sampling duration T should satisfy Δt = T/N = 1/N(1/2) when N-point DFT is utilized. | 12 | Relationship Between Perisylvian Essential Language Sites and Arcuate Fasciculus in the Left Hemisphere of Healthy Adults显示文摘Essential language sites and the arcuate fasciculus(AF) have been extensively researched. However, the relationship between them remains insufficiently studied,especially in healthy people. Navigated transcranial magnetic stimulation(n TMS) is increasingly used in language mapping. While enjoying the advantage of non-invasiveness, it is also capable of inducing a virtual lesion in the brain. Thus, it offers the possibility of using the virtuallesion method to study the healthy brain. This study combined n TMS and diffusion tensor imaging(DTI)tractography to investigate the relationship between essential language sites and the AF in 30 healthy right-handedvolunteers. A total of 143 essential language sites were identified using n TMS, and a total of 175 AF terminations were identified using DTI tractography. Sixty-six sites had a direct correlation with the AF, accounting for 46% of the total essential language sites. Forty-seven AF terminations harbored essential language sites, accounting for 27% of the total AF terminations. Upon data rendering to the cortical parcellation system, a region-related heterogeneity of the correlation rate was found. | 16 | 8-Weighted-Type Fractional Fourier Transform Based Three-Branch Transmission Method显示文摘To improve the bit error rate(BER) performance of multiple input multiple output(MIMO) systems with low complexity, a three-branch transmission scheme employing 8-weighted-type fractional Fourier transform(8-WFRFT) module is proposed. In the proposed scheme, the original signal is first decomposed into eight sub-signals and then merged into three component signals by the same carrier pattern. The three signals have mathematical constraint relations among themselves that can counteract the channel fading. They are simultaneously transmitted via three independent antennas after delay regulating. At the receiver, an inverse 8-WFRFT module is employed to obtain the estimated original signal by processing the received signal. Then, the bit error rate(BER) performance, transmitting power, transmission rate, power spectrum and computational complexity of the proposed scheme are analysed in detail.
