2Combined genomic, transcriptomic, and metabolomic an alyses provide in sights into chayote (Sechium edule) evolution and fruit development显示文摘Chayote(Sechium edule)is an agricultural crop in the Cucurbitaceae family that is rich in bioactive components.To enhance genetic research on chayote,we used Nanopore third-generation sequencing combined with Hi-C data to assemble a draft chayote genome.A chromosome-level assembly anchored on 14 chromosomes(N50 contig and scaffold sizes of 8.40 and 46.56 Mb,respectively)estimated the genome size as 606.42 Mb,which is large for the Cucurbitaceae,with 65.94%(401.08 Mb)ofthe genome comprising repetitive sequences;28,237 protein-coding genes were predicted.Comparative genome analysis indicated that chayote and snake gourd diverged from sponge gourd and that a whole-genome duplication(WGD)event occurred in chayote at 25±4 Mya.Transcriptional and metabolic analysis revealed genes involved in fruit texture,pigment,fl avor,fl avonoids,antioxidants,and plant hormones during chayote fruit development.The analysis of the genome,transcriptome,and metabolome provides insights into chayote evolution and lays the groundwork for future research on fruit and tuber development and genetic improvements in chayote.Anzhen Fu Qing Wang Jianlou Mu Lili Ma Changlong Wen Xiaoyan Zhao Lipu Gao Jian Li Kai Shi Yunxiang Wang Xuechuan Zhang Xuewen Zhang Fengling Wang Donald Grierson Jinhua Zuo 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:6
3Assignment and expression patterns of porcine muscle-specific isoform of phosphoglycerate mutase gene显示文摘It has been reported that the muscle-specific isoform (type M, PGAM2) of phosphoglycerate mutase (PGAM) is a housekeeping en- zyme; it catalyzes the conversion of 3-phosphoglycerate into 2-phosphoglycerate in the glycolysis process to release energy. It is encoded by the Pgam2 gene. In this study, the cDNA of the porcine Pgam2 was cloned. This gene contains an open reading frame of 765 bp en- coding a protein of 253 residues, and the predicted protein sequences share high similarity with other mammalians, 96% identity with humans, and 94% identity with mouse and rats. Pgam2 was mapped to SSC18q13-q21 by the RH panel. In this region, there are several QTLs, such as fat ratio, lean percentage, and diameter of muslce fiber, which affect meat production and quality. The reverse transcrip- tase-polymerase chain reaction revealed that the porcine Pgam2 gene was mainly expressed in the muscle tissue (skeletal muscle and cardiac muscle), and was expressed highly at skeletal muscle development stages (embryonic periods: 33, 65, and 90 days post-conception (dpc); postnatal pigs: 4 days and adult). This indicates that the Pgam2 gene plays an important role in muscle growth and development. 4MoS2 nanorods with inner caves through synchronous encapsulation of sulfur for high performance Li–S cathodes显示文摘Lithium–sulfur(Li–S)batteries have become one of the most promising candidates for next-generation batteries owing to their high specific capacity,low cost,and environment-friendliness.Many efforts have been made to mitigate the'shuttle effect'through physical adsorption and chemical bonding.MoS2 has been proposed as a cathode material to provide effective anchoring sites for lithium polysulfides(Li PSs),but is still limited by its layer structure.Herein,we designed novel MoS2 nanorods with inner caves based on our previous work,and performed synchronous encapsulation of sulfur during the synthesis process.The outer MoS2 tubular shells physically inhibit the outward diffusion of polysulfide species while the inner particles chemically anchor the polysulfides to prevent shuttling.As the cathode matrix in Li–S batteries,the electrochemical results deliver a high initial discharge capacity of 1213 mAhg^-1 for sulfur at 0.1 C.After cycling at 1 C for 300 cycles,the cells exhibit a capacity decay of only 0.076%per cycle and high average coulombic efficiency over 95%.The tubular MoS2 structure is an innovative and appealing design,which could be regarded as a prospective substrate for the improved performance of Li–S batteries.Yikun Yi Zechen Liu Pu Yang Tao Wang Xuewen Zhao Hongyang Huang Yonghong Cheng Jinying Zhang Mingtao Li 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,6:5
5Revealing the catalytic mechanism of an ionic liquid with an isotope exchange method显示文摘The alkylation mechanism catalyzed by an ionic liquid (as a Lewis acid) may be different from the traditional alkylation mechanism catalyzed by Br nsted acid,especially as their initiation steps are still not clear.In this paper,an isotope exchange method is used to investigate the catalytic mechanism of AlCl 3 /butyl-methyl-imidazolium chloride ionic liquid in the alkylation of benzene with 1-dodecene.The proposed catalytic mechanism was confirmed by analysis of ionic liquid before and after reaction and of the alkylation products of deuterated benzene (C 6 D 6) with 1-dodecene.The proposed mechanism consists of the equilibrium reaction between [Al 2 Cl 7 ] +H + and [AlHCl 3 ] + +[AlCl 4 ],in which the Br nsted acid [AlHCl 3 ] + is supplied by the reaction of 2-H on the imidazolium ring and [Al 2 Cl 7 ].The alkylation reaction is initiated by the Br nsted acid [AlHCl 3 ] + which reacts with 1-dodecene to form a carbonium ion,then the carbonium ion reacts with benzene to form an unstable σ complex,leading to the formation of 2-phenyldodecane.Sun Xuewen Zhao Suoqi 2011Petroleum Science2011,8,4:3
6The genome and transcriptome analysis of snake gourd provide insights into its evolution and fruit development and ripening显示文摘Snake gourd(Trichosanthes anguina L.),which belongs to the Cucurbitaceae family,is a popular ornamental and food crop species with medicinal value and is grown in many parts of the world.Although progress has been made in its genetic improvement,the organization,composition,and evolution of the snake gourd genome remain largely unknown.Here,we report a high-quality genome assembly for snake gourd,comprising 202 contigs,with a total size of 919.8 Mb and an N50 size of 20.1 Mb.These findings indicate that snake gourd has one of the largest genomes of Cucurbitaceae species sequenced to date.The snake gourd genome assembly harbors 22,874 protein-coding genes and 80.0%of the genome consists of repetitive sequences.Phylogenetic analysis reveals that snake gourd is closely related to sponge gourd but diverged from their common ancestor~33–47 million years ago.The genome sequence reported here serves as a valuable resource for snake gourd genetic research and comparative genomic studies in Cucurbitaceae and other plant species.In addition,fruit transcriptome analysis reveals the candidate genes related to quality traits during snake gourd fruit development and provides a basis for future research on snake gourd fruit development and ripening at the transcript level.Lili Ma Qing Wang Jianlou Mu Anzhen Fu Changlong Wen Xiaoyan Zhao Lipu Gao Jian Li Kai Shi Yunxiang Wang Xuewen Zhang Xuechuan Zhang Zhangjun Fei Donald Grierson Jinhua Zuo 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:2
7Autonomous live working robot navigation with real-time detection and motion planning system on distribution line显示文摘In this study,an autonomous robot navigation system is designed for live working on distribution line.The developed system features a real-time detection and motion planning system,incorporating a manipulator capable of grasping power components.In order to accurately identify targets,the authors propose an object detection method based on the Larger Scale‘You Only Look Once’Version 4(LS-YOLOv4)algorithm for detecting the insulators and drop fuses.The LS-YOLOv4 extracts features of power components by Convolutional Neural Network(CNN),and then performs feature fusion.Then the authors develop a motion planning method based on the Node Control Optimal Rapidly Exploring Random Trees(NC-RRT*),which can drive the robot to realise the autonomous robot motion planning and obstacle avoidance.On the grasping function,the authors present a reliable Lightweight-based Convolutional Neural Network(L-CNN)grasping point detection method.Finally,the authors evaluate fully autonomous robotic system in both simulated and real-world experiments.The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed system can effectively identify the target and complete the grasping task in an efficient way.Notably,the proposed motion planning method can take into account both planning efficiency and accuracy to manipulation tasks.Haoning Zhao Chaoqun Wang Rui Guo Xuewen Rong Jiamin Guo Qixun Yang Lecheng Yang Yuliang Zhao Yibin Li 2022High Voltage2022,7,6:2
8A transformer-based Siamese network and an open optical dataset for semantic change detection of remote sensing images显示文摘Recent change detection(CD)methods focus on the extraction of deep change semantic features.However,existing methods overlook the fine-grained features and have the poor ability to capture long-range space–time information,which leads to the micro changes missing and the edges of change types smoothing.In this paper,a potential transformer-based semantic change detection(SCD)model,Pyramid-SCDFormer is proposed,which precisely recognizes the small changes and fine edges details of the changes.The SCD model selectively merges different semantic tokens in multi-head self-attention block to obtain multiscale features,which is crucial for extraction information of remote sensing images(RSIs)with multiple changes from different scales.Moreover,we create a well-annotated SCD dataset,Landsat-SCD with unprecedented time series and change types in complex scenarios.Comparing with three Convolutional Neural Network-based,one attention-based,and two transformer-based networks,experimental results demonstrate that the Pyramid-SCDFormer stably outperforms the existing state-of-the-art CD models and obtains an improvement in MIoU/F1 of 1.11/0.76%,0.57/0.50%,and 8.75/8.59%on the LEVIR-CD,WHU_CD,and Landsat-SCD dataset respectively.For change classes proportion less than 1%,the proposed model improves the MIoU by 7.17–19.53%on Landsat-SCD dataset.The recognition performance for small-scale and fine edges of change types has greatly improved.Panli Yuan Qingzhan Zhao Xingbiao Zhao Xuewen Wang Xuefeng Long Yuchen Zheng 2022International Journal of Digital Earth2022,15,1:2
9Effect of end-to-end invagination pancreaticojejunostomy with circle discontinuous U suture in pancreatic surgery显示文摘The aim of this paper is to summarize the methods of pancreaticojejunostomy in the pancreatic operation and to study the safety and feasibility of a new operative method called end-to-end invagination pancreaticojejunostomy with circle discontinuous U suture to prevent fistula of pancreaticojejunostomy.Eight-three patients with pancreaticoduodenectomy in the 3rd Hospital,Jilin University from 2001 January to 2006 April were reviewed.The incidences of pancreatic fistula with different types of pancreaticojejunostomy were compared.The overall incidence rate of pancreatic fistula was 26.5%(22/83).No pancreatic fistula occurred in end-to-end invagination pancreaticojejunostomy with circle discontinuous U suture.The incidence rate of the fistula following end-to-end invagination pancreaticojejunostomy with circle discontinuous U suture was significantly lower than that of traditional end-to-end pancreaticojejunostomy[40%,(10/25),P<0.01]and end-to-side pancreaticojejunostomy[27.3%,(12/44),P<0.05],but no significant difference(P>0.05)between traditional end-to-end pancreaticojejunostomy and end-to-side pancreaticojejunostomy was discovered.End-to-end invagination pancreaticojejunostomy with circle discontinuous U suture has a definite effect on avoiding pancreatic fistula following pancreaticojejunostomy and is worth being recommended.But the cases were limited,so this method would still need to be observed and confirmed further in the future.ZHANG Xuewen XUAN Wei JIANG Tao JI Degang YANG Yongsheng ZHANG Dan XIE Yingjun MENG Zihui ZHAO Jisheng 2007Frontiers of Medicine2007,1,1:1

11The effect of confining boundary on soil deformation in one dimensional frost heave tests and the theoretical volume correction显示文摘Frost heave is one of the major complications in highway construction in cold regions. Laboratory experiments are important in the study frost heave behavior of soils, and one-dimensional frost heave experiments are the easiest way to evaluate the soil frost heave potential. In a one dimensional frost heave test, the deformation in axial direction is non-uniform because of the confining effect of the cutting ring's sidewall. If the effect of confining boundary on soil deformation is ignored, the deformation will be over-estimated. In this paper, the effect of confining boundary on soil deformation is theoretically studied and a volume correction method is developed and applied to the frost heave test of a sulfite saline soil. 13Serum microRNA-155 as a potential biomarker for breast cancer screening显示文摘MicroRNAs(miRs) have been shown to be differentially expressed in the serum of cancer patients and controls,and can thus be used as biomarkers for cancer screening.We detected the expression level of miR-155 in the serum of female breast cancer patients and healthy controls to investigate whether serum miR-155 could discriminate patients with early-stage breast cancer.Serum samples were collected from 20 female patients with newly diagnosed breast cancer and 10 healthy controls.Real-time quantitative PCR was used to detect the expression level of miR-155.The expression level of miR-155 was significantly increased in the serum of breast cancer patients compared with in the serum of normal controls.MiR-155 may be useful as a blood-based biomarker for breast cancer screening.ZHAO SuYing WU Qian GAO Fen ZHANG ChunBing YANG XueWen 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,26:1

15Experimental study on the vitrification and xenotransplantation of human ovarian tissue显示文摘Background:Cryopreservation of ovarian tissue is a promising method for preserving fertility.Transmission electron microscopy(TEM)is an evaluation system for cryo-injury during the cooling and warming process which is very laborious and needs to be optimized.Objective:In this study,we evaluated that serum 17β-oestradiol(E2)may be used as an indicator of vitrified ovarian tissue.Methods:Immunodeficient nude mice were used as hosts for xenografting of vitrified-warmed human ovarian tissues.A total of 54 mice were divided into two group:vitrified ovarian xenotransplant(VOX)group(n?45)and non-transplant control group(n?9).The transplanted mice were grouped into vitrified/warmed grafted-4 weeks(VOX-4w,n?15),vitrified/warmed grafted-6weeks(VOX-6w n?15)and vitrified/warmed grafted-12 weeks(VOX-12w n?15)according to the time after transplantation.The viable and functional recovery of grafted ovarian tissue was assessed by light microscopy,transmission electron microscopy,and hormone(E2)assays.Results:Serum E2 concentration was significantly higher in VOX-6w(group(21.07 pg/ml)than that of VOX-12w group(15.59 pg/ml).VOX-12w group showed a lower value(12.61 pg/ml)for E2 concentration.The trend for E2 concentration was consistent with the morphological identification of the grafts.Conclusion:In vivo serum hormone E2 released by cortical biopsies can be used as a functional marker for xenotransplanted vitrified-warmed human ovarian tissue reserve.Jinghui Zhao Yuping Ge Jingyi Li Yucui Zeng Guoyi Dong Liping Zeng Juanjuan Dai Hui Du Mumin Shao Xuewen Yu Huan Li Fang He Zhouchun Shang Chun Wang Gabor Vajt Huiru Tang Ruifang Wu Yutao Du 2022Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinical Medicine2022,2,1:1

18Laser-ablated violet phosphorus/graphene heterojunction as ultrasensitive ppb-level room-temperature NO sensor显示文摘Two dimensional(2D)materials are promising gas sensing materials,but the most of them need to be heated to show promising sensing performance.Sensing structures with high sensing performance at room-temperature are urgent.Here,another 2D material,violet phosphorus(VP)nanoflake is investigated as gas sensing material.The VP nanoflakes have been effectively ablated to have layers of 1–5 layers by laser ablation in glycol.The VP nanoflakes are combined with graphene to form VP/G heterostructuresbased NO sensor.An ultra-high gauge factor of 3×10^(7)for ppb-level sensing and high resistance response of 59.21%with ultra-short recovery time of 6s for ppm-level sensing have been obtained.The sensing mechanism is also analysed by density functional theory(DFT)calculations.The adsorption energy of VP/G is calculated to be-0.788 e V,resulting in electrons migration from P to N to form a P-N bond in the gap between VP and graphene sheet.This work provides a facile approach to ablate VP for mass production.The as-produced structures have also provided potential gas sensors with ultrasensitive performance as ppb-level room-temperature sensors.Xiaohui Ye Ming Qi Hao Qiang Mengzhen Chen Xi Zheng Mengyue Gu Xuewen Zhao Yanling Yang Chaozheng He Jinying Zhang 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,9:0
19Influence of relative compaction and degree of saturation on the deformation characteristics of bentonite under freeze-thaw cycles显示文摘Bentonite,consisting of clay minerals of the montmorillonite group,has been widely used as an adsorbent and backfill material in nuclear waste disposal and groundwater remediation.It is challenging to use bentonite as a filling material in cold regions since bentonite is highly sensitive to thermal environmental changes,during which its bulk volume and microstructure change significantly.In this study,a series of one-dimensional and three-dimensional freeze-thaw tests were carried out within a closed system to investigate the influencing factors of the deformation of bentonite under freeze-thaw cycles.Results show that the initial soil water content greatly impacts bentonite's deformation during freeze-thaw cycles.For an initial higher degree of saturation(Sr),the expansion caused by the formation of ice lenses has a greater impact than the shrinkage induced by dehydration,ice-cementation,and so on.Conversely,bentonite tends to shrink at a lower degree of saturation during freezing.And the critical degree of saturation that determines bentonite's behavior of frost heave or frost shrinkage seems to be roughly 0.8.As the number of freeze-thaw cycles rises,initially uncompacted bentonite clay becomes more compacted,and initially compacted bentonite clay remains unchanged.Hao Wang Xu Li WenShao Xin Vladimir Nikolaevich Paramonov XueWen Zhao 2023Research in Cold and Arid Regions2023,15,4:0
20Self-cross-linked arrays enabled flexible mechanical sensors for monitoring the body tremor显示文摘Thin-film electronics played an important role in flexible healthcare sensor applications.The common status of their constituent blocks are solid film and network structures.However,the solid film could only sustain bend in a narrow range due to cracks,and the network structure decreased the sensitivity of flexion sensors due to the strong interactions between nanowires.New materials and technologies are urgently required for flexible sensing electronics,to produce the reliable data for assessment of the human body.Here,we report on a novel three-dimensional(3D)carbon nanorods array(CNA)that is characterized as vertically aligned nanorods and self-cross-linked junctions.We also demonstrate the CNA-based flexible healthcare sensors in monitoring the Parkinsonian tremors.Comparing with two-dimensional(2D)carbon nanotube networks and solid thin films,such self-cross-linked geometries are highly resistant to crack and fragmentation under strain.In the meantime,it shows high sensitivity and good stability(~10,000 times)to detect the flexions.These CNA-based flexible devices are capable of recording low-frequency vibrations(<6 Hz)and make it excellent to monitor the rest tremor of the human body,which is an initial symptom of Parkinson’s disease.The 3D self-cross-linked CNA film shows great potential in the fabrication of cost-effective and durable flexible sensors for early diagnosis of disease by monitoring the health-related rest tremors.Xuewen Wang Wei Fu Guanhui Gao Mandeep Singh Mehay Lu Zheng Hong Wang Wu Zhao Kian Ping Loh Ting Zhang Wei Huang Zheng Liu 2020npj Flexible Electronics2020,4,1:0
