2A preventive control strategy for static voltage stability based on an efficient power plant model of electric vehicles显示文摘With the increasing integration of wind farms and electric vehicles(EVs)in power systems,voltage stability is becoming more and more serious.Based on vehicle-to-grid(V2G),an efficient power plant model of EVs(E-EPP)was developed to estimate EV charging load with available corresponding response capacity under different charging strategies.A preventive control strategy based on E-EPP was proposed to maintain the static voltage stability margin(VSM)of power system above a predefined security level.Two control modes were used including the disconnection of EV charging load(‘V1G’mode)and the discharge of stored battery energy back to power grid(‘V2G’mode).A modified IEEE 14-bus system with high penetration of wind power and EVs was used to verify the effectiveness of preventive control strategy.Simulation results showed that the proposed strategy can not only improve the static voltage stability of power system with considerable wind generation,but also guarantee the travelling comfort for EV owners.Mingshen WANG Yunfei MU Hongjie JIA Jianzhong WU Xiuping YAO Xiaodan YU Janaka EKANAYAKE 2015Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2015,3,1:25

4Efficacy and safety of metformin and sitagliptin based triple antihyperglycemic therapy(STRATEGY):a multicenter,randomized,controlled,non-inferiority clinical trial显示文摘Despite the current guideline's recommendation of a timely stepwise intensification therapy,the 'clinical inertia',termed as the delayed treatment intensification,commonly exists in the real world,which may be partly due to the relatively little substantial evidence and no clear consensus regarding the efficacy and safety of triple oral agents in patients inadequately controlled with dual therapy.In this clinical trial performed in 237 centers in China,5,535 type 2 diabetic patients inadequately controlled by previous therapies were treated with a stable metformin/sitagliptin dual therapy for 20 weeks.The patients who did not reach the glycated hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c) goal were then further randomized into glimepiride,gliclazide,repaglinide,or acarbose group for an additional 24-week triple therapy.A mean HbAlc reduction of 0.85%was observed when sitagliptin was added to the patients inadequately controlled with metformin in 16 weeks.Further HbAlc reductions in the 24-week triple therapy stage were 0.65%in glimepiride group,0.70%in gliclazide group,0.61%in repaglinide group,and 0.45%in acarbose group.The non-inferiority criterion for primary hypotheses was met for gliclazide and repaglinide,but not for acarbose,compared with glimepiride,when added to metformin/sitagliptin dual therapy.The incidences of adverse events(AEs) were 29.2%in the dual therapy stage and30.3%in the triple therapy stage.Metformin/sitagliptin as baseline therapy,with the addition of a third oral antihyperglycemic agent,including glimepiride,gliclazide,repaglinide,or acarbose,was effective,safe and well-tolerated for achieving an HbAlc<7.0%goal in type 2 diabetic patients inadequately controlled with previous therapies.The timely augmentation of up to three oral antihyperglycemic agents is valid and of important clinical benefit to prevent patients from exposure to unnecessarily prolonged hyperglycemia.Wen Xu Yiming Mu Jiajun Zhao Dalong Zhu Qiuhe Ji Zhiguang Zhou Bin Yao Anhua Mao Samuel S.Engel Bin Zhao Yan Bi Longyi Zeng Xingwu Ran Juming Lu Linong Ji Wenying Yang Weiping Jia Jianping Weng 2017Science China(Life Sciences)2017,60,3:19
5Hepatitis B surface antigen clearance in inactive hepatitis B surface antigen carriers treated with peginterferon alfa-2a显示文摘AIM: To examine the association between interferon(IFN) therapy and loss of hepatitis B surface antigen(HBs Ag) in inactive HBs Ag carriers. METHODS: This was a retrospective cohort study in inactive HBs Ag carriers, who were treatment-naive, with a serum HBs Ag level < 100 IU/m L and an undetectable hepatitis B virus(HBV) DNA level(< 100 IU/m L). All the 20 treated patients received subcutaneous PEG-IFN alfa-2a 180 μg/wk for 72 wk and were then followed for 24 wk. There were 40 untreated controls matched with 96 wk of observation. Serum HBs Ag, HBV DNA, and alanine aminotransferases were monitored every 3 mo in the treatment group and every 3-6 mo in the control group. RESULTS: Thirteen(65.0%) of 20 treated patients achieved HBs Ag loss, 12 of whom achieved HBs Ag seroconversion. Mean HBs Ag level in treated patients decreased to 6.69 ± 13.04 IU/m L after 24 wk of treatment from a baseline level of 26.22 ± 33.00 IU/m L. Serum HBV DNA level remained undetectable(< 100 IU/m L) in all treated patients during the study. HBs Ag level of the control group decreased from 25.72 ± 25.58 IU/m L at baseline to 17.11 ± 21.62 IU/m L at week 96(P = 0.108). 6Combination treatment with comprehensive cryoablation and immunotherapy in metastatic hepatocellular cancer显示文摘AIM: To retrospectively assess the effect of comprehensive cryosurgery (ablation of intraand extra-hepatic tumors) plus dendritic cell-cytokine-induced killer cell immunotherapy in metastatic hepatocellular cancer. METHODS: We divided 45 patients into cryo-immunotherapy (21 patients), cryotherapy (n = 12), immunotherapy (n = 5) and untreated (n = 7) groups. Overall survival (OS) after diagnosis of metastatic hepatocellular cancer was assessed after an 8-year follow-up. RESULTS: Median OS was higher following cryo-immu-notherapy (32 mo) or cryotherapy (17.5 mo; P < 0.05) than in the untreated group (3 mo) and was higher in the cryo-immunotherapy group than in the cryotherapy group (P < 0.05). In the cryo-immunotherapy group, median OS was higher after multiple treatments (36.5 mo) than after a single treatment (21 mo; P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: Cryotherapy and, especially, cryoimmunotherapy significantly increased OS in metastatic hepatocellular cancer patients. 8Inflammatory biomarkers and cerebral small vessel disease:a community-based cohort study显示文摘Background and purpose Although inflammation has been proposed to be a candidate risk factor for cerebral small vessel disease(CSVD),previous findings remain largely inconclusive and vary according to disease status and study designs.The present study aimed to investigate possible associations between inflammatory biomarkers and MRI markers of CSVD.Methods A group of 15 serum inflammatory biomarkers representing a variety of those putatively involved in the inflammatory cascade was grouped and assessed in a cross-sectional study involving 960 stroke-free subjects.The biomarker panel was grouped as follows:systemic inflammation(high-sensitivity C reactive protein(hsCRP),interleukin 6 and tumour necrosis factorα),endothelial-related inflammation(E-selectin,P-selectin,intercellular adhesion molecule 1,vascular cell adhesion molecule 1(VCAM-1),CD40 ligand,lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2,chitinase-3-like 1 protein and total homocysteine(tHCY))and media-related inflammation(matrix metalloproteinases 2,3 and 9,and osteopontin).The association(s)between different inflammatory groups and white matter hyperintensity(WMH),lacunes,cerebral microbleeds(CMBs),enlarged perivascular space(PVS)and the number of deep medullary veins(DMVs)were investigated.Results High levels of serum endothelial-related inflammatory biomarkers were associated with both increased WMH volume(R^(2)=0.435,p=0.015)and the presence of lacunes(R^(2)=0.254,p=0.027).Backward stepwise elimination of individual inflammatory biomarkers for endothelial-related biomarkers revealed that VCAM-1 was significant for WMH(β=0.063,p=0.005)and tHCY was significant for lacunes(β=0.069,p<0.001).There was no association between any group of inflammatory biomarkers and CMBs or PVS.Systemic inflammatory biomarkers were associated with fewer DMVs(R^(2)=0.032,p=0.006),and backward stepwise elimination of individual systemic-related inflammatory biomarkers revealed that hsCRP(β=−0.162,p=0.007)was significant.Conclusion WMH and lacunes were associated with endothelial-related inflammatory biomarkers,and fewer DMVs were associated with systemic inflammation,thus suggesting different underlying inflammatory processes and mechanisms.Ding-Ding Zhang Yuan Cao Jing-Yu Mu Yi-Ming Liu Feng Gao Fei Han Fei-Fei Zhai Li-Xin Zhou Jun Ni Ming Yao Ming-Li Li Zheng-Yu Jin Shu-Yang Zhang Li-Ying Cui Yong Shen Yi-Cheng Zhu 2022Stroke & Vascular Neurology2022,7,4:11
9Effect of Danshao Huaxian capsule on Gremlin and bone morphogenetic protein-7 expression in hepatic fibrosis in rats显示文摘AIM:To observe the effect of Danshao Huaxian capsule(DHC)on the expression of Gremlin and bone morphogenetic protein-7(BMP-7)in the liver of hepatic fibrosis rats.METHODS:A total of 75 male Wistar rats were randomly divided into a normal control group(A),a CCl4-induced hepatic fibrosis model group(B),a natural recovery group(C),a low-dose DHC-treated group(D),and a high-dose DHC-treated group(E),with 15 rats in each group.Liver fibrosis was induced by subcutaneous injections of carbon tetrachloride(CCl4)and a highlipid/low-protein diet for 8 wk,except for the rats in group A.Then,the rats in the two DHC-treated groups were administered 0.5 and 1.0 g/kg DHC by gastrogavage once per day for 8 successive weeks,respectively.By the end of the experiment,the level of transforming growth factorβ1(TGF-β1)in the liver homogenate was determined by an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.The mRNA and protein expression of Gremlin and BMP-7 in the liver tissue was determined by reversetranscription polymerase chain reaction,an immunohistochemical assay,and Western blot analysis.RESULTS:Compared with group A,the level of TGF-β1and the mRNA and protein expression of Gremlin were significantly higher in group B(TGF-β1:736.30±24.40μg/g vs 284.20±18.32μg/g,P<0.01;mRNA of Gremlin:80.40±5.46 vs 49.83±4.20,P<0.01;positive protein expression rate of Gremlin:38.46%±1.70%vs 3.83%±0.88%,P<0.01;relative protein expression of Gremlin:2.81±0.24 vs 0.24±0.06,P<0.01),and the mRNA and protein expression of BMP-7was significantly lower in group B(mRNA:54.00±4.34vs 93.99±7.03,P<0.01;positive protein expression rate:28.97%±3.14%vs 58.29%±6.02,P<0.01;relative protein expression:0.48±0.31 vs 1.05±0.12,P<0.01).Compared with groups B and C,the degree of hepatic fibrosis was significantly improved,and the level of TGF-β1 and the mRNA and protein expression of Gremlin were significantly lowered in the two DHCtreated groups(TGF-β1:523.14±21.29μg/g,441.86±23.18μg/g vs 736.30±24.40μg/g,651.13±15.75μg/g,P<0.01;mRNA of Gremlin:64.86±2.83,55.82±5.39 vs 80.40±5.46,70.37±4.01,P<0.01;positive protein expression rate of Gremlin:20.78%±1.60%,17.43%±2.02%vs 38.46%±1.70%,29.50%±2.64%,P<0.01;relative protein expression of Gremlin:1.95±0.26,1.65±0.20 vs 2.81±0.24,2.22±0.63,P<0.01),and the mRNA and protein expression of BMP-7 was higher in the two DHC-treated groups(mRNA:73.52±4.56,81.78±5.38 vs 54.00±4.34,62.28±4.51,P<0.01;positive protein expression rate:41.44%±4.77%,47.49%±4.59%vs28.97%±3.14%,35.85%±3.50%,P<0.01;relative protein expression:0.71±0.06,0.81±0.07 vs 0.48±CONCLUSION:The therapeutic mechanism of DHC forhepatic fibrosis in rats may be associated with inhibitionof the expression of Gremlin and up-regulation of the expression of BMP-7.Xue-Ke Zhao Ming-Liang Cheng Rong-Min Wu Yu-Mei Yao Mao Mu Juan-Juan Zhu Bao-Fang Zhang Ming-Yu Zhou 2014World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,40:11

11Modeling and Trajectory Tracking Control for Flapping-Wing Micro Aerial Vehicles显示文摘This paper studies the trajectory tracking problem of flapping-wing micro aerial vehicles(FWMAVs)in the longitudinal plane.First of all,the kinematics and dynamics of the FWMAV are established,wherein the aerodynamic force and torque generated by flapping wings and the tail wing are explicitly formulated with respect to the flapping frequency of the wings and the degree of tail wing inclination.To achieve autonomous tracking,an adaptive control scheme is proposed under the hierarchical framework.Specifically,a bounded position controller with hyperbolic tangent functions is designed to produce the desired aerodynamic force,and a pitch command is extracted from the designed position controller.Next,an adaptive attitude controller is designed to track the extracted pitch command,where a radial basis function neural network is introduced to approximate the unknown aerodynamic perturbation torque.Finally,the flapping frequency of the wings and the degree of tail wing inclination are calculated from the designed position and attitude controllers,respectively.In terms of Lyapunov's direct method,it is shown that the tracking errors are bounded and ultimately converge to a small neighborhood around the origin.Simulations are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.Wei He Xinxing Mu Liang Zhang Yao Zou 2021IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2021,8,1:10
12Plasma metabolomic and lipidomic alterations associated with COVID-19显示文摘The pandemic of the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)has become a global public health crisis.The symptoms of COVID-19 range from mild to severe,but the physiological changes associated with COVID-19 are barely understood.In this study,we performed targeted metabolomic and lipidomic analyses of plasma from a cohort of patients with COVID-19 who had experienced different symptoms.We found that metabolite and lipid alterations exhibit apparent correlation with the course of disease in these patients,indicating that the development of COVID-19 affected their whole-body metabolism.In particular,malic acid of the TCA cycle and carbamoyl phosphate of the urea cycle result in altered energy metabolism and hepatic dysfunction,respectively.It should be noted that carbamoyl phosphate is profoundly down-regulated in patients who died compared with patients with mild symptoms.And,more importantly,guanosine monophosphate(GMP),which is mediated not only by GMP synthase but also by CD39 and CD73,is significantly changed between healthy subjects and patients with COVID-19,as well as between the mild and fatal cases.In addition,dyslipidemia was observed in patients with COVID-19.Overall,the disturbed metabolic patterns have been found to align with the progress and severity of COVID-19.This work provides valuable knowledge about plasma biomarkers associated with COVID-19 and potential therapeutic targets,as well as an important resource for further studies of the pathogenesis of COVID-19.Di Wu Ting Shu Xiaobo Yang Jian-Xin Song Mingliang Zhang Chengye Yao Wen Liu Muhan Huang Yuan Yu Qingyu Yang Tingju Zhu Jiqian Xu Jingfang Mu Yaxin Wang Hong Wang Tang Tang Yujie Ren Yongran Wu Shu-Hai Lin Yang Qiu Ding-Yu Zhang You Shang Xi Zhou 2020National Science Review2020,7,7:9
13Toripalimab plus chemotherapy as second-line treatment in previously EGFR-TKI treated patients with EGFR-mutant-advanced NSCLC:a multicenter phase-II trial显示文摘This multicenter phase-II trial aimed to investigate the efficacy,safety,and predictive biomarkers of toripalimab plus chemotherapy as second-line treatment in patients with EGFR-mutant-advanced NSCLC.Patients who failed from first-line EGFR-TKIs and did not harbor T790M mutation were enrolled.Toripalimab plus carboplatin and pemetrexed were administrated every three weeks for up to six cycles,followed by the maintenance of toripalimab and pemetrexed.The primary endpoint was objective-response rate(ORR).Integrated biomarker analysis of PD-L1 expression,tumor mutational burden(TMB),CD8+tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte(TIL)density,whole-exome,and transcriptome sequencing on tumor biopsies were also conducted.Forty patients were enrolled with an overall ORR of 50.0%and disease-control rate(DCR)of 87.5%.The median progression free survival(PFS)and overall survival were 7.0 and 23.5 months,respectively.The most common treatment-related adverse effects were leukopenia,neutropenia,anemia,ALT/AST elevation,and nausea.Biomarker analysis showed that none of PD-L1 expression,TMB level,and CD8+TIL density could serve as a predictive biomarker.Integrated analysis of whole-exome and transcriptome sequencing data revealed that patients with DSPP mutation had a decreased M2 macrophage infiltration and associated with longer PFS than those of wild type.Toripalimab plus chemotherapy showed a promising anti-tumor activity with acceptable safety profiles as the second-line setting in patients with EGFR-mutant NSCLC.DSPP mutation might serve as a potential biomarker for this combination.A phase-III trial to compare toripalimab versus placebo in combination with chemotherapy in this setting is ongoing(NCT03924050).Tao Jiang Pingyang Wang Jie Zhang Yanqiu Zhao Jianying Zhou Yun Fan Yongqian Shu Xiaoqing Liu Helong Zhang Jianxing He Guanghui Gao Xiaoqian Mu Zhang Bao Yanjun Xu Renhua Guo Hong Wang Lin Deng Ningqiang Ma Yalei Zhang Hui Feng Sheng Yao Jiarui Wu Luonan Chen Caicun Zhou Shengxiang Ren 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,11:8

Microglia-mediated neuroinfiammation is tightly associated with various neurodegeneratiye diseases and psychiatricdisorders.However,the role of REV-ERBa in neuroinflammation is largely unclear.In this study,we investigated whether and how pharmacological activation of REV-ERBa affected lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced neuroinflammation inmouse microglia in vitro and in vivo.In BV2 cells or primary mouse culturedmicroglia,application of REV-ERBa agonist GSK4112 or SR9011 dose-dependently suppressed LPS-induced microglial activation through the'nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB)pathway,in BV2 cells,pretreatment with GSK4112 inhibited LPS-induced phosphorylation of the inhibitor of NF-κB alpha (lkBα).kinase (IKK), thus restraining the pbosphorylation and degradation of IKBa,and blocked the nuclear translocation of p65,a NF-κB subunit,thereby suppressing the expression and secretion of the proinflammatory cytokines,such as interleukin 6 (IL- 6)and tumor necrosis factor a (TNFα).Moreover,REV-ERBα agonist-induced inhibi.tion on neuroinflammation protected neurons from microglial activatiOn-induced damage,whichwere also demonstrated in mice with their.ventral midbrain microiniected with GSK4112,and then stimulated with LPS.Our results reveal that enhanced REV-ERBα activity suppresses microglial activation through the NF-κB .pathway in the central nervous system.Dong-kai Guo Yao Zhu Hong-yang Sun Xing-yun Xu Shun Zhang Zong-bing Hao Guang-hui Wang Chen-chen Mu Hai-gang Ren 2019Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2019,40,1:5
17Estimating global prevalence,incidence,and outcomes of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease from 2000 to 2021:systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘Background:The increasing burden of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)worldwide imposes an emerging public health issue.We perform the current study to estimate the global prevalence,incidence,disease progression,and clinical outcomes of NAFLD.Methods:A systematic search was conducted in Medline,Embase,Web of Science,Google Scholar,and Cochrane CENTRAL that screened articles in English language published from January 2000 to December 2021.NAFLD prevalence,incidence,rate of disease progression,and outcomes were calculated with the DerSimonian-Laird random effects model with arcsine transformation.Results:Our search identified 59,156 records,of which 578 studies fulfilled our inclusion criteria.The overall prevalence of NAFLD was 29.38%(95%confidence interval[CI]28.09-30.69)regardless of the diagnostic techniques.Looking at the group in which the diagnosis was made by ultrasound exclusively,the pooled prevalence was 30.49%(95%CI 29.55-31.43).NAFLD has become more prevalent during the year 2011-2021(31.63%,95%CI 30.23-33.04)compared with year 2000-2010(27.94%,95%CI 26.23-29.69).The pooled estimation of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis prevalence was 8.26%(95%CI 1.13-21.01),46.49%(95%CI 35.93-57.20),and 46.72%(95%CI 37.57-55.98)in general population,NAFLD patients,and severe/morbidly obese patients,respectively.Based on a total of 110,142 newly developed NAFLD patients,the pooled incident rate was estimated as 46.24 cases per 1000 person-years(95%CI 43.21-49.30).In patients with NAFLD,the incident rate of hepatocellular carcinoma was 1.46(95%CI 0.90-2.03)cases per 1000 person-years.The overall pooled estimate of NAFLD related mortality was 23.91(95%CI 13.55-37.18)death per 1000 person-years.Conclusions:The prevalence of NAFLD is increasing globally.It is contributing to poor clinical outcomes including hepatocellular carcinoma and death.Rising awareness and urgent actions are warranted to control the NAFLD pandemic across the globe.Registration:PROSPERO,No.CRD42020171104.Jiaye Liu Ye Tian Xia Fu Chunyang Mu Menglin Yao Yinyun Ni Yong Liu Zhihui Li 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,14:4
18Vertical structure and seasonal variation of tidal and residual currents in the northern Huanghai Sea显示文摘Analysis of tidal current and sea level has been made based on the observations from the summer of 2006 to the winter of 2007,respectively.The result indicates that a two-layer structure of residual current exists in summer,with its upper layer going northwestward and the lower layer southeastward.In addition,some strong residuals exist in the neighboring depth of the pycnocline during the current period of astronomical tide.In winter,except some individual layersthe residual currents mostly direct to the northwest,from which we can see the fluctuation of abnormal sea-level and the appearance of associated current because of the changes of the wind field.The analysis of tidal ellipse indicates that the direction of the maximum semidiurnal component is clockwise from summer to winter,with an angle of 16-18.Moreover,in summer the semidiurnal component rotates with depth clockwise while the diurnal component counterclockwise.However,the vertical structure is almost homogeneous in winter.SONG Jun GUO Junru QIAO Lulu MU Lin YAO Zhigang LIU Yang LI Huan BAO Xianwen SUN Xiaoyan GAO Jia 2011Acta Oceanologica Sinica2011,30,5:4
19An Arabidopsis mutant atcsr-2 exhibits high cadmium stress sensitivity involved in the restriction of H_2S emission显示文摘The gene AtCSR encodes peptidyl-prolyl cis/trans isomerases (PPIases) that accelerate energetically unfavorable cis/trans isomerization of the peptide bond preceding proline production.In our studies,we found that AtCSR was associated with cadmium (Cd)-sensitive response in Arabidopsis.Our results show that AtCSR expression was triggered by Cd-stress in wild type Arabidopsis.The expression of some genes responsible for Cd2+ transportation into vacuoles was induced,and the expression of the iron-regulated transporter 1 (IRT1) related to Cd2+ absorption from the environment was not induced in wild type with Cd2+ treatment.The expression of Cd-transportation related genes was not in response to Cd-stress,whereas IRT expression increased dramatically in atcsr-2 with Cd2+ treatment.The expression of glutathione 1 (GSH1) was consistent with GSH being much lower in atcsr-2 in comparison with the wild type with Cd2+ treatment.Additionally,malondialdehyde (MDA),hydrogen peroxide,and Cd2+ contents,and activities of some antioxidative enzymes,differed between the wild type and atcsr-2.Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) has been confirmed as the third gas-transmitter over recent years.The findings revealed that the expression pattern of H2 S-releasing related genes and that of Cd-induced chelation and transportation genes matched well in the wild type and atcsr-2,and H2S could regulate the expression of the Cd-induced genes and alleviate Cd-triggered toxicity.Finally,one possible suggestion was given:down-regulation of atcsr-2,depending on H2S gas-transmitter not only weakened Cd2+ chelation,but also reduced Cd2+ transportation into vacuoles,as well as enhancing the Cd2+ assimilation,thus rendering atcsr-2 mutant sensitive to Cd-stress.Ya-wei LI Ze-hua GONG Yao MU Yi-xian ZHANG Zeng-jie QIAO Li-ping ZHANG Zhu-ping JIN Hua LI Yan-xi PEI 2012Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2012,13,12:4
20Pm67, a new powdery mildew resistance gene transferred from Dasypyrum villosum chromosome 1V to common wheat(Triticum aestivum L.)显示文摘Powdery mildew, caused by the biotrophic fungus Blumeria graminis f. sp. tritici(Bgt), is a global disease that poses a serious threat to wheat production. To explore additional resistance gene, a wheatDasypyrum villosum 1 V#5(1 D) disomic substitution line NAU1813(2 n = 42) with high level of seedling resistance to powdery mildew was used to generate the recombination between chromosomes 1 V#5 and1 D. Four introgression lines, including t1 VS#5 ditelosomic addition line NAU1815, t1 VL#5 ditelosomic addition line NAU1816, homozygous T1 DL·1 VS#5 translocation line NAU1817, and homozygous T1 DS·1 VL#5 translocation line NAU1818 were developed from the selfing progenies of 1 V#5 and 1 D double monosomic line that derived from F1 hybrids of NAU1813/NAU0686. All of them were characterized by fluorescence in situ hybridization, genomic in situ hybridization, 1 V-specific markers analysis, and powdery mildew tests at different developmental stages. A new powdery mildew resistance gene named Pm67 was physically located in the terminal bin(FL 0.70–1.00) of 1 VS#5. Lines with Pm67 exhibited seedling stage immunity and tissue-differentiated reactions at adult plant stage. The sheaths, stems, and spikes of the Pm67 line were still immune, but the leaves showed a low degree of susceptibility.Microscopic observation showed that most penetration attempts were stopped in association with papillae on the sheath, and colonies cannot form conidia on the susceptible leaf of Pm67 line at adult plant stage, suggesting that the defence layers of the Pm67 line is tissue-differentiated.
