Special Section:SARS-CoV-2 Preliminary evidence from a multicenter prospective observational study of the safety and efficacy of chloroquine for the treatment of COVID-19显示文摘Effective therapies are urgently needed for the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.Chloroquine has been proved to have antiviral effect against coronavirus in vitro. In this study,we aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of chloroquine with different doses in COVID-19.In this multicenter prospective observational study,we enrolled patients older than 18 years old with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection excluding critical cases from 12 hospitals in Guangdong and Hubei Provinces.Eligible patients received chloroquinephosphate s00 mg,orally, once(half dose)or twice(full dose)daily.Patients treated with non-chloroquine therapy were included as historical controls. The primary endpoint is the time to undetectable viral RNA.Secondary outcomes include the proportion of patients with undetectable viral RNA by day 10 and 14,hospitalization time, duration of fever, and adverse events.A total of 197 patients completed chloroquine treatment, and 176patients were included as historical controls. The median time to achieve an undetectable viral RNA was shorter in chloroquine than in non-chloroquine(absolute difference in medians-6.0 days;95%CI-6.0 to—4.0).The duration of fever is shorter in chloroquine(geometric mean ratio 0.6;95%CIO.5 to 0.8).No serious adverse events were observed in the chloroquine group.Patients treated with half dose experienced lower rate of adverse events than with full dose.Although randomized trials are needed for further evaluation, this study provides evidence for safety and efficacy of chloroquine in COVID-19 and suggests that chloroquine can be a cost-effective therapy for combating the COVID-19 pandemic. | Mingxing Huang Man Li Fei Xiao Pengfei Pang Jiabi Liang Tiantian Tang Shaoxuan Liu Binghui Chen Jingxian Shu Yingying You Yang Li Meiwen Tang Jianhui Zhou Guanmin Jiang Jingfen Xiang Wenxin Hong Songmei He Zhaoqin Wang Jianhua Feng Changqing Lin Yinong Ye Zhilong Wu Yaocai Li Bei Zhong Ruilin Sun Zhongsi Hong Jing Liu Huili Chen Xiaohua Wang Zhonghe Li Duanqing Pei Lin Tian Jinyu Xia Shanping Jiang Nanshan Zhong Hong Shan | 2020 | National Science Review2020,7,9: | 20
Preparation and CO2 adsorption properties of porous carbon by hydrothermal carbonization of tree leaves显示文摘Porous carbon materials were prepared by hydrothermal carbonization(HTC) and KOH activation of camphor leaves and camellia leaves. The morphology, pore structure, chemical properties and CO2 capture ability of the porous carbon prepared from the two leaves were compared. The effect of HTC temperature on the structure and CO2 adsorption properties was especially investigated. It was found that HTC temperature had a major effect on the structure of the product and the ability to capture CO2. The porous carbon materials prepared from camellia leaves at the HTC temperature of 240℃ had the highest proportion of microporous structure, the largest specific surface area(up to 1823.77m^2/g) and the maximum CO2 adsorption capacity of 8.30mmol/g at 25℃ under 0.4 MPa. For all prepared porous carbons, simulation results of isothermal adsorption model showed that Langmuir isotherm model described the adsorption equilibrium data better than Freundlich isotherm model. For porous carbons prepared from camphor leaves, pseudo-first order kinetic model was well fitted with the experimental data. However, for porous carbons prepared from camellia leaves, both pseudo-first and pseudo-second order kinetics model adsorption behaviors were present. The porous carbon materials prepared from tree leaves provided a feasible option for CO2 capture with low cost, environmental friendship and high capture capability. | Guangzhi Yang Shen Song Jing Li Zhihong Tang Jinyu Ye Junhe Yang | 2019 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2019,35,5: | 8
Petrogenesis of Jurassic Granitoids on Liaodong Peninsula,Northeast China:Constraints on the Evolution of the Mongol-Okhotsk and Pacific Tectonic Regimes显示文摘The tectonic setting of Jurassic magmatism in the Northeast China(NE China)is unclear. Here,we present new petrological,whole-rock geochemical, zircon U-Pb geochronological, and zircon Lu-Hf isotope data for Jurassic granitoids of the Wulong region,Liaodong Peninsula,NE China.Laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry(LA-ICP-MS)zircon U-Pb data indicate that these granitoids were emplaced at 165-156 Ma.The biotite monzogranite,two-mica monzogranite, monzogranite, granodiorite, biotite granodiorite, and syenogranite are strongly peraluminous(A/CNK=1.09-1.29),contain peraluminous minerals such as muscovite, have high normative corundum abundances(1.26 wt.%-3.28 wt.%),and have high K2_(O)/Na2O ratios(0.76-1.48),all of which indicate an S-type granite affinity. However, the biotite granodiorite and syenogranite have high Sr(391 ppm-570 ppm)and low Y(3.06 ppm-5.94 ppm)contents, with high Sr/Y(65.8-185.9)ratios,and the two-mica monzogranite, monzogranite, and granodiorite have relatively high Sr(138 ppm-379 ppm)and low Y(3.38 ppm-8.71 ppm)contents, with high Sr/Y ratios(19.1-77.9).All of the analyzed samples have negative zircon eHf(t)values(-41.4 to-20.6)with old two-stage Hf model ages(TDM2(Hf)=2.50-3.76 Ga).Therefore,we infer that the biotite monzogranite is the typical feature of S-type granite that was derived by partial melting of metagraywacke. The monzogranite,two-mica monzogranite, granodiorite, biotite granodiorite, and syenogranite exhibit geochemical characteristics of S-type granite with K-rich adakitic features, and were possibly derived by mixing of melts from clastic crustal materials and ada-kitic magmas. There are voluminous Jurassic igneous rocks in the NE China.By combining our study with the previous researches, this paper infers that the Jurassic magmatism within the Erguna-Xing'an Massif was related to the southward subduction and closure of the Mongol-Okhotsk Ocean;the Early Jurassic magmatism to the east of the Songliao Basin and in the northern North China Cra-ton(NCC)was related to the subduction of the Pacific Plate;however, the Middle-Late Jurassic igne-ous rocks to the west of the Songliao Basin were related to the closure of the Mongol-Okhotsk Ocean and,in the northern NCC,were related to closure of the Mongol-Okhotsk Ocean with an influence from flat-slab subduction of the Pacific Plate. | Jinyu Li Ye Qian Leontine Tekoumc Changji Zhao Jinlei Sun Tao Zheng Fengyue Sun Yanjie Shen | 2021 | Journal of Earth Science2021,32,1: | 2
Interaction of citrate with Pt(100) surface investigated by cyclic voltammetry towards understanding the structure-tuning effect in nanomaterials synthesis显示文摘This study aims to understand the effects of functional agents such as capping agents, stabilizers, surfactants and additives in shape-controlled synthesis of nanomaterials. The well-defined Pt(100) single crystal surface was used as a model to investigate its interaction with citrate, a capping agent that is often used in shape-controlled synthesis of nanomaterials. It demonstrated that, through a systematic study of electrochemical cyclic voltammetry, the presence of citrate in solution could increase the current peak density of hydrogen adsorption at high potential (j p,L ), while decrease proportionally the current peak density of hydrogen adsorption at low potential (j p,S ). Furthermore, the increase of citrate concentration shifted negatively the peak potentials (E p,L and E p,S ) of both j p,L and j p,S . The results indicated that the interaction of citrate with Pt(100) surface could induce increasing the (100) surface domains of two-dimensional long range order (2D-(100)), and decreasing the (100) surface domains of one-dimensional short range order (1D-(100)). It also revealed that the interaction of citrate with Pt(100) surface could stabilize the 2D-(100) structure. The findings gained in this study implied that the citrate may lead to form stable 2D-(100) domains on Pt nanoparticles upon the shape-controlled synthesis of Pt nanomaterials. | CHEN DeHao YE JinYu XU ChangDeng LI Xin LI JunTao ZHEN ChunHua TIAN Na ZHOU ZhiYou SUN ShiGang | 2012 | Science China Chemistry2012,55,11: | 1

Effect of Acid Treatment on Electrocatalytic Performance of PtNi Catalyst显示文摘In this paper,we describe the synthesis of the AC-PtNi/G catalysts with graphene as the carrier, via the alcohol reduction and the sulfuric acid treatment. The prepared catalysts were microscopically characterized by X-ray diffractometry(XRD),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),electron spectroscopy(EDAX),and transmission electron micros-copy(TEM).We tested the electrochemical performance of the prepared catalysts using an electrochemical workstation and in situ infrared spectroscopy(FTIR).The results showed that the acid-treated AC-PtNi/G catalysts had a more uniform dispersion and with the increased of treatment time, the particle size of the catalyst became smaller. And the electrocatalytic performance of the AC-PtNi/G-48h catalyst treated with sulfuric acid for 48 h was significantly better than that of the untreated PtNi/G catalyst. Its electrochemically active surface area was 76.63 m^(2)/g,and the peak current density value for catalytic oxidation of ethanol was 1218.83 A/g,which was 10 times that of ordinary commercial Pt/C catalyst. The steady-state current density value of 1100 s was 358.77 A/g,and it has excellent anti-CO toxicity performance. It was determined that a sulfuric acid treatment controlled catalyst particle size and increased the electrocatalytic activity of the catalytic oxidation of ethanol. | GUO Ruihua QIAN Fei AN Shengli ZHANG Jieyu CHOU Kuo-Chih YE Jinyu ZHOU Zhiyou | 2021 | Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2021,37,3: | 0
A Simple Method for Preparing CuCl/Activated Carbon for Selective CO Adsorption from Hydrogen显示文摘Carbon monoxide(CO)is an impurity gas that can poison the precious metal catalysts of hydrogen fuel cells,so it is necessary to separate CO from hydrogen. In this paper,an isovolumetric impregnation method was developed to prepare Cu(I)-supported activated carbon(AC),which is simple and easy to industrialize. The prepared cuprous chloride CuCl/AC adsorbent displayed a high CO adsorption capacity of 82.1 cm^(3)/g and a high CO/H_(2) separation factor of 20 at 20 bar and 298 K.This material can adsorb and remove CO from CO/H_(2) mixed gas(5μL/L CO-balanced H_(2))to less than 0.2μL/L under dynamic flow conditions, and showed excellent regeneration performance. The results show that CuCl/AC is an effective adsorbent for separating trace CO in high-purity hydrogen. | Liu Di Wang Qianqian Huang Jiaxing Zheng Jinyu Jin Ye Su Shikun | 2023 | China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2023,25,1: | 0
Genome-wide selection and introgression of Chinese rice varieties during breeding显示文摘China is the largest rice-producing country, but the genomic landscape of rice diversity has not yet been clarified. In this study,we re-sequence 1070 rice varieties collected from China(400)and other regions in Asia(670).Among the six major rice groups(aus,indica-I,indica-II,aromatic,temperate japonica, and tropical japonica),almost all Chinese varieties belong to the indica-II or temperate japonica group. Most Chinese indica varieties belong to indica-II,which consists of two subgroups developed during different phases of rice breeding. The genomic segments underlying the differences between these subgroups span36.32 Mb.The Chinese japonica rice varieties fall into the temperate japonica group, consisting of two subgroups based on their geographical distribution. The genomic segments underlying the differences between these subgroups span 27.69 Mb.These differentiated segments in the Chinese indica varieties span 45 genes with nonsynonymous mutations that are closely related to variations in plant height and grain width.Fifty-four genes with nonsynonymous mutations are associated with the differences in heading date between the two Chinese japonica subgroups. These findings provide new insights into rice diversity in China that will facilitate the molecular breeding. | Jinyue Ge Junrui Wang Hongbo Pang Fei Li Danjing Lou Weiya Fan Ziran Liu Jiaqi Li Danting Li Baoxuan Nong Zongqiong Zhang Yanyan Wang Jingfen Huang Meng Xing Yamin Nie Xiaorong Xiao Fan Zhang Wensheng Wang Jianlong Xu Sung Ryul Kim Ajay Kohli Guoyou Ye Weihua Qiao Qingwen Yang Xiaoming Zheng | 2022 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2022,49,5: | 0
Single-Site Cu-Doped PdSn Wavy Nanowires for Highly Active,Stable, and CO-Tolerant Ethanol Oxidation Electrocatalysis显示文摘Developing a catalyst to break the tradeoff relation-ship between the catalytic activity and antipoisoning property toward the ethanol oxidation reaction(EOR)is of critical importance to the development of direct ethanol fuel cells(DEFCs),but remains challenging. Here,we developed a unique class of single-site Cu-doped PdSn wavy nanowires(denoted as SS Cu−PdSn WNWs)with promoted activity and durability toward alkaline EOR.Detailed characterizations reveal the atomic isolation of Cu species dispersed on the surface of the PdSn WNWs with distinct wavy structure and grain boundaries. The created SS Cu−PdSn WNWs exhibit an enhanced EOR performance in terms of mass activity, which is higher than those of PdSn WNWs,commercial Pd black, and commercial Pd/C,respectively.Moreover,the SS Cu−PdSn WNWs can also show improved stability as compared to other catalysts due to the improved antipoisoning property from the unique surface anchoring structure.Further investigations demonstrate that the doped SS Cu can strongly inhibit the adsorption of CO and promote the reaction process of EOR.DFT results reveal that the doped Cu shifts down the d-band center of PdSn,thereby modifying the adsorption of intermediates and reducing the reaction barrier of EOR.This work maps a pathway for optimally boosting EOR performance with surface engineering via atomic doping. | Jiaqi Su Jie Feng Yonggang Feng Shangheng Liu Bingyan Xu Yue Lin Jinyu Ye Ying Zhang Youyong Li Qi Shao Xiaoqing Huang | 2023 | Precision Chemistry2023,1,6: | 0
Enhancement of CH_(3)CO^(*) adsorption by editing d-orbital states of Pd to boost C–C bond cleavage of ethanol eletrooxidation显示文摘Improving the complete ethanol electrooxidation on Pd-based catalysts in alkaline media has drawn widely attention due to the high mass energy density. However, the weak adsorption energy of CH_(3)CO^(*) on Pd restricts the C–C bond cleavage.Inspired by the molecular orbital theory,we proposed the d-state-editing strategy to construct more unoccupied d-states of Pd for the enhanced interaction with CH_(3)CO^(*) to break C–C bonds. As expected, the reduced number of e_g electrons and more unoccupied d-states of Pd successfully formed on as-prepared porous Rh Au–Pd Cu nanosheets(PNSs).Theoretical calculations show that the optimized d-states of Rh Au–Pd Cu PNS can effectively improve the adsorption of CH_(3)CO^(*) and drastically reduce the energy barrier of C–C bond cleavage, thus boosting the complete oxidation of ethanol. The charge ratio of C_1 pathway on Rh Au–Pd Cu PNSs is 51.5%,more than 2 times higher than that of Pd NSs.Our finding provides an innovative perspective for the design of highly-efficient noble-based electrocatalysts. | Yuchen Qin Fengqi Wang Pei Liu Jinyu Ye Qian Wang Yao Wang Guangce Jiang Lijie Liu Pengfang Zhang Xiaobiao Liu Xin Zheng Yunlai Ren Junjun Li Zhicheng Zhang | 2024 | Science China Chemistry2024,67,2: | 0
