1Perspective of hydrogen energy and recent progress in electrocatalytic water splitting显示文摘As a secondary energy with great commercialization potential,hydrogen energy has been widely studied due to the high calorific value,clean combustion products and various reduction methods.At present,the blueprint of hydrogen energy economy in the world is gradually taking shape.Compared with the traditional high-energy consuming methane steam reforming hydrogen production method,the electrocatalytic water splitting hydrogen production stands out among other process of hydrogen production owning to the mild reaction conditions,high-purity hydrogen generation and sustainable production process.Basing on current technical economy situation,the highly electric power cost limits the further promotion of electrocatalytic water splitting hydrogen production process.Consequently,the rational design and development of low overpotential and high stability electrocatalytic water splitting catalysts are critical toward the realization of low-cost hydrogen production technology.In this review,we summarize the existing hydrogen production methods,elaborate the reaction mechanism of the electrocatalytic water splitting reaction under acidic and alkaline conditions and the recent progress of the respective catalysts for the two half-reactions.The structure-activity relationship of the catalyst was deep-going discussed,together with the prospects of electrocatalytic water splitting and the current challenges,aiming at provide insights for electrocatalytic water splitting catalyst development and its industrial applications.Yixuan Gong Jiasai Yao Ping Wang Zhenxing Li Hongjun Zhou Chunming Xu 2022Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,35,3:7
2Spatial pattern and drivers of urbanization in China's mid-level developing urban agglomeration:A case study of Chang-Zhu-Tan显示文摘Urban agglomeration has become the main form of regional spatial organization in China.While most of the existing studies of urban agglomeration in China have focused on the eastern coastal areas,urban agglomeration with mid-level development in the rest of the country has been overlooke1.To better understand the urbanization process of the mid-level developing urban agglomeration,this study investigated the clustering pattern and the drivers of both urban population and firm dynamics during 2005-2015 in the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan(Chang-Zhu-Tan)urban agglomeration of China using the methods ofkernel density estimation and geographic detection.Our results show that centralization was obvious,although decentralization also occurred in Chang-Zhu-Tan,and that the spatial agglomeration was promoted by several factors,such as administrative resources,location advantage,labor cost,and consumption capacity.Some problems hindering the development of this region were also discovered:administrative resources played a critical role in urbanization because small towns and villages did not receive enough attention,and the effect of local policy was not as beneficial as expected.These findings partly explain the relatively slow development of mid-level developing urban agglomerations and have important implications for promoting healthier urbanization.Yanhua He Yi Lin Guohua Zhou Yixuan Zhu Kai Tang 2021Regional Sustainability2021,2,1:6

4Blocking of the PD-1/PD-L1 interaction by a novel cyclic peptide inhibitor for cancer immunotherapy显示文摘The interaction of PD-1/PD-L1 allows tumor cells to escape from immune surveillance.Clinical success of the antibody drugs has proven that blockade of PD-1/PD-L1 pathway is a promising strategy for cancer immunotherapy.Here,we developed a cyclic peptide C8 by using Ph.D.-C7 C phage display technology.C8 showed high binding affinity with h PD-1 and could effectively interfere the interaction of PD-1/PD-L1.Furthermore,C8 could stimulate CD8^(+)T cell activation in human peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs).We also observed that C8 could suppress tumor growth in CT26 and B16-OVA,as well as anti-PD-1 antibody resistant B16 mouse model.CD8^(+)T cells infiltration significantly increased in tumor microenvironment,and IFN-γsecretion by CD8^(+)T cells in draining lymph nodes also increased.Simultaneously,we exploited T cells depletion models and confirmed that C8 exerted anti-tumor effects via activating CD8^(+)T cells dependent manner.The interaction model of C8 with h PD-1 was simulated and confirmed by alanine scanning.In conclusion,C8 shows anti-tumor capability by blockade of PD-1/PD-L1 interaction,and C8 may provide an alternative candidate for cancer immunotherapy.Wenjie Zhai Xiuman Zhou Mingxia Zhai Wanqiong Li Yunhui Ran Yixuan Sun Jiangfeng Du Wenshan Zhao Lingxiao Xing Yuanming Qi Yanfeng Gao 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,4:5
5Prefrontal cortex and sensory cortices during working memory: quantity and quality显示文摘The activity in sensory cortices and the prefrontal cortex(PFC) throughout the delay interval of working memory(WM) tasks refl ect two aspects of WM—quality and quantity, respectively. The delay activity in sensory cortices is fine-tuned to sensory information and forms the neural basis of the precision of WM storage, while the delay activity in the PFC appears to represent behavioral goals and filters out irrelevant distractions, forming the neural basis of the quantity of task-relevant information in WM. 7Saturable and reverse saturable absorption in molybdenum disulfide dispersion and film by defect engineering显示文摘Understanding and controlling defect in two-dimensional materials is important for both linear and nonlinear optoelectronic devices,especially in terms of tuning nonlinear optical absorption.Taking advantage of an atomic defect formed easily by smaller size,molybdenum disulfide nanosheet is prepared successfully with a different size by gradient centrifugation.Interestingly,size-dependent sulfur vacancies are observed by high-resolution X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,atomic force microscopy,and transmission electron microscopy.The defect effect on nonlinear absorption is investigated by Z-scan measurement at the wavelength of 800 nm.The results suggest the transition from saturable absorption to reverse saturable absorption can be observed in both dispersions and films.First principle calculations suggest that sulfur vacancies act as the trap state to capture the excited electrons.Moreover,an energy-level model with the trap state is put forward to explain the role of the sulfur vacancy defect in nonlinear optical absorption.The results suggest that saturable absorption and reverse saturable absorption originate from the competition between the excited,defect state and ground state absorption.Our finding provides a way to tune the nonlinear optical performance of optoelectronic devices by defect engineering.CHUNHUI LU HONGWEN XUAN YIXUAN ZHOU XINLONG XU QIYI ZHAO AND JINTAO BAI 2020Photonics Research2020,8,9:3

9Neutrophil-derived heparin binding protein triggers vascular leakage and synergizes with myeloperoxidase at the early stage of severe burns(With video)显示文摘Background:Burn shock caused by vascular leakage is one of the main causes of high mortality in severe burn injury.However,the pathophysiological mechanism of vascular leakage is still unclear.The purpose of this study was to explore the molecular mechanism of vascular leakage in the early stage of severe burn and provide a new target for the treatment of severe burns.Methods:Neutrophils were isolated from human peripheral blood by magnetic beads sorting.ELISA was used to detect neutrophil-derived granule proteins and glycocalyx injury products in plasma.The vascular leakage and neutrophil movement were assessed by in vivo laser confocal imaging in mice,and high-quality video were provided.Adhesion-related molecules were investigated by qRT-PCR.The damage to glycocalyx of mice vascular endothelial cellswas observed by transmission electron microscope and scanning electron microscope.Proteomic analysis,flow cytometry and immunofluorescence were used to further study the relationship between human peripheral blood neutrophil-derived hypochlorite(HOCl)and CD44 of human vascular endothelial cells.Results:In this study,we found that rapidly increasing activated neutrophils secrete heparin binding protein(HBP)andmyeloperoxidase(MPO)after severe burn injury.Increased HBP triggers vascular leakage with synergy of MPO,results in systemic edema and burn shock.Furthermore,we found that the MPO catalytic product HOCl but not MPO triggers CD44 extracellular domain shedding from vascular endothelial cells to damage the glycocalyx.Damage to the glycocalyx results in firm adhesion of neutrophils and increases vascular leakage.However,MPO inhibitors partially protect the glycocalyx of vascular endothelial cells.The combination of HBP and MPO inhibitors markedly reduces vascular leakage and systemic edema in the early stage of severe burns.Conclusions:Taken together,these data reveal that neutrophil-derived HBP and MPO play an important synergies role in triggering vascular leakage at the early stage of severe burns.Targeted intervention in these two biomolecules may introduce new strategies for helping to reduce large amount of fluid loss and subsequent burn shock.Lu Liu Yiming Shao Yixuan Zhang Yunxi Yang Jiamin Huang Linbin Li Ran Sun Yuying Zhou Yicheng Su Bingwei Sun 2021Burns & Trauma2021,9,1:3
10An Optimal Over-frequency Generator Tripping Strategy for Regional Power Grid with High Penetration Level of Renewable Energy显示文摘This paper proposes an optimal over-frequency generator tripping strategy aiming at implementing the least amount of generator tripping for the regional power grid with high penetration level of wind/photovoltaic(PV),to handle the over-frequency problem in the sending-end power grid under large disturbances.A steady-state frequency abnormal index is defined to measure the degrees of generator over-tripping and under-tripping,and a transient frequency abnormal index is presented to assess the system abnormal frequency effect during the transient process,which reflects the frequency security margin during the generator tripping process.The scenariobased analysis method combined with the non-parametric kernel density estimation method is applied to model the uncertainty of the outgoing power caused by the stochastic fluctuations of wind/PV power and loads.Furthermore,an improved fireworks algorithm is utilized for the solution of the proposed optimization model.Finally,the simulations are performed on a real-sized regional power grid in Southern China to verify the effectiveness and adaptability of the proposed model and method.Zhihang Zhou Libao Shi Yixuan Chen 2021Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2021,9,5:2

12Effect of long-term aging treatment on the tensile strength and ductility of GH 605 superalloy显示文摘Aging treatment is an effective way to optimize the mechanical properties of Co-based superalloys.In this study,commercial GH 605 superalloy was subjected to aging treatment at 650℃ in a wide time range up to 1000 h.The effects of aging time on the tensile characteristics,microstructure evolution and mechanical properties were systematically investigated at room temperature(RT)and 900℃.The results showed that the volume fractions of M6C and M23C6 carbide increased with the aging time.After long-term aging treatment,the yield strength(YS)at RT was enhanced from 490.3 MPa to 805.9 MPa,while the alloy still had high tensile ductility(above 20%).Microscopic observations by transmission electron microscopy(TEM)indicated that the strengthening mechanism was related to carbide precipitation inside the grains and the change in the dislocation slipping mode.Moreover,long-term aging treatment can increase the elongation from 24.1%to 47.3%at 900℃ accompanied by a slight increase of YS from 299.3 MPa to 313.9 MPa.Based on detailed microstructure analysis the strengthening mechanism can be attributed to the refined grains as well as carbide precipitation inside the grains and around the grain boundaries.Yixuan He Xudong Liu Chenxu Xing Zhangchi Bian Qing Zhou Jun Wang Haifeng Wang Jinshan Li 2022Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2022,32,3:1
13Liquid state dependent solidification of a Co-B eutectic alloy under a high magnetic field显示文摘The structure transition inside the Co-81.5at.%B alloy liquid has been studied by an in-situ magnetization measurement.A crossover was observed on the 1/M-T curve during the overheating process,indicating that a liquid-liquid structure transition(LLST)took place in the melt.Based on this information,the effects of LLST on the solidification behavior,microstructure and tribology property were investigated experimentally.The sample solidified with the LLST exhibits significantly different solidification behaviors,i.e.,the nucleation undercooling and the recalescence extent are conspicuously enlarged,and the solidification time is shortened.As a result,the microstructure is effectively refined and homogenized,and the hardness and wear resistance are significantly enhanced.The present work might be helpful for not only theoretically understanding the influence of LLST on the solidification behavior but also providing an alternative approach to tailor the microstructure and properties.Yixuan He Fan Bu Yuhao Wu Jianbao Zhang Dawei Luo Zhangchi Bian Qing Zhou Tie Liu Qiang Wang Jun Wang Haifeng Wang Jinshan Li Eric Beaugnon 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,21:1

16Nidogen:A matrix protein with potential roles in musculoskeletal tissue regeneration显示文摘Basement membrane proteins are known to guide cell structures,differentiation,and tissue repair.Although there is a wealth of knowledge on the functions of laminins,per-lecan,and type IV collagen in maintaining tissue homeostasis,not much is known about nidogen.As a key molecule in the basement membrane,nidogen contributes to the formation of a delicate microenvironment that proves necessary for stem cell lineage-specific differentiation.In this review,the expression of nidogen is delineated at both cellular and tissue levels from embryonic to adult stages of development;the effect of nidogens is also summarized in the context of musculoskeletal development and regeneration,including but not limited to adipogenesis,angiogenesis,chondrogenesis,myogenesis,and neurogenesis.Furthermore,potential mechanisms underlying the role of nidogens in stem cell-based tissue regeneration are also discussed.This concise review is expected to facilitate our existing understanding and utilization of nidogen in tissue engineering and regeneration.Sheng Zhou Song Chen Yixuan Amy Pei Ming Pei 2022Genes & Diseases2022,9,3:1
17The soybean PLATZ transcription factor GmPLATZ17 suppresses drought tolerance by interfering with stress-associated gene regulation of GmDREB5显示文摘Plant AT-rich sequence and zinc binding(PLATZ)transcription factors are a class of plant specific zincdependent DNA-binding proteins that function in abiotic stress response and plant development.In this study,31 GmPLATZ genes were identified in soybean.GmPLATZ17 was down-regulated by drought and exogenous abscisic acid.Transgenic Arabidopsis and soybean hairy roots overexpressing GmPLATZ17 showed drought sensitivity and inhibition of stress-associated gene transcription.In contrast,suppressed expression of GmPLATZ17 led to increased drought tolerance in transgenic soybean hairy roots.The GmPLATZ17 protein was verified to interact physically with the GmDREB5 transcription factor,and overexpression of GmDREB5 increased drought tolerance in soybean hairy roots.Interaction of GmPLATZ17 with GmDREB5 was shown to interfere with the DRE-binding activity of GmDREB5,suppressing downstream stress-associated gene expression.These results show that GmPLATZ17 inhibits drought tolerance by interacting with GmDREB5.This study sheds light on PLATZ transcription factors and the function of GmPLATZ17 in regulating drought sensitivity.Juanying Zhao Lei Zheng Jitong Wei Yixuan Wang Jun Chen Yongbin Zhou Ming Chen Fengzhi Wang Youzhi Ma Zhao-Shi Xu 2022The Crop Journal2022,10,4:1

19Mild and efficient recovery of lithium-ion battery cathode material by deep eutectic solvents with natural and cheap components显示文摘Dissolution of lithium cobalt oxide(LCO)is the key step for the recovery of valuable metals(e.g.,Co and Li)from spent LCO-based lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).However,the dissolution process of LCO either needs toxic solvents,and high temperature,or shows low efficiency.Deep eutectic solvents(DESs)are potential green solvents to dissolve LCO.Here,DESs with polyethylene glycol(PEG)as hydrogen bond acceptor and ascorbic acid(AA)as hydrogen bond donor are found to dissolve LCO with 84.2%Co leaching efficiency at 80℃ and 72 h,which is higher than that from the reported references by common DESs.Furthermore,both DESs components(i.e.,PEG and AA)are cheap,biodegradable,and biocompatible.AA could be easily and abundantly extracted from natural fruits or vegetables.It provides a new guide for the green,mild,and efficient dissolution of LCO aiming at sustainable recovery of spent LIBs.Yu Chen Yanlong Wang Yue Bai Minghui Feng Fengyi Zhou Yanhong Lu Yuting Guo Yixuan Zhang Tiancheng Mu 2023Green Chemical Engineering2023,4,3:0
