Interferon-armed RBD dimer enhances the immunogenicity of RBD for sterilizing immunity against SARS-CoV-2显示文摘Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)has caused a global crisis, urgently necessitating the development of safe,efficacious,convenient-to-store,and low-cost vaccine options.A major challenge is that the receptor-binding domain(RBD)-only vaccine fails to trigger long-lasting protective immunity if used alone for vaccination. | Shiyu Sun Yueqi Cai Tian-Zhang Song Yang Pu Lin Cheng Hairong Xu Jing Sun Chaoyang Meng Yifan Lin Haibin Huang Fang Zhao Silin Zhang Yu Gao Jian-Bao Han Xiao-Li Feng Dan-Dan Yu Yalan Zhu Pu Gao Haidong Tang Jincun Zhao Zheng Zhang Jiaming Yang Zhenxiang Hu Yang-Xin Fu Yong-Tang Zheng Hua Peng | 2021 | Cell Research2021,31,9: | 7
Effects of surface roughness on interfacial dynamic recrystallization and mechanical properties of Ti-6Al-3Nb-2Zr-1Mo alloy joints produced by hot-compression bonding显示文摘The influence of surface roughness on the interfacial dynamic recrystallization kinetics and mechanical properties of Ti-6 Al-3 Nb-2 Zr-1 Mo hot-compression bonding joints was systematically investigated. It is found that for the bonding interface of rough surfaces, elongated fine grains are formed at the bonding interface due to shear deformation of the interfacial area.As the surface roughness increases, the proportion of elongated grains drastically decreases as they further reorient to form equiaxed grains along the bonding interface of rougher surfaces resulting from severe incompatible deformation of the interface area.Meanwhile,high-density geometrically necessary dislocations accumulate around the interfacial recrystallization area to accommodate the incompatible strain and lattice rotation.A rotational dynamic recrystallization mechanism is thereby proposed to rationalize the formation of fine interfacial recrystallization grains during bonding of rough surfaces. In contrast to that of rough surfaces, bonding interface of polished surfaces exists in the form of straight interface grain boundaries without fine grains under the same deformation conditions. While with the increase of deformation strain, small grain nuclei form along the bonding interface, which is associated with discontinuous dynamic recrystallization assisted by strain-induced boundary migration of interface grain boundaries. Moreover, the bonding joints of rough surfaces show lower elongation compared with that of polished surfaces. This is because the formation of heterogeneous fine grains with low Schmid factor along the bonding interface of rough surfaces, leading to worse compatible deformation capability and thereby poor ductility of bonding joints. | Bijun Xie Zhenxiang Yu Haiyang Jiang Bin Xu Chunyang Wang Jianyang Zhang Mingyue Sun Dianzhong Li Yiyi Li | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,1: | 2

Improving Energy Metabolism of Deproteinized Extract of Calf Blood Through Regulation of Hmgcs2y Cptla, Angptl4, Cyp8bl, and Ehhadh Genes in Mice显示文摘Herein, we described the physicochemical properties of deproteinized extract of calf blood(DECB) and established a hypoxia model treated with or without DECB to detect the sugar, lactic acid, protein, and ATP contents of mice and then identified and analyzed the differentially expressed genes between two groups using mRNA expression chip. According to the results of the airtight hypoxia experiment, mice in the model+DECB group had a signifi? cantly prolonged time of hypoxia tolerance compared with the model group. The biochemical test indicated that DECB could significantly increase the level of sugar, ATP and proteins and reduce the amount of lactic acid in mice. It also revealed that Hmgcs2, Cptla, Angptl4, Cyp8b], and Ehhadh genes were involved in mice energy metabolism, and were closely associated witli metabolic signaling pathway. These results suggest that DECB might be a potential drug to treat metabolic diseases. Among the genes with differential expression under hypoxia, Angptl4, Cyp8bl, and Ehhadh were critical factors for sugar metabolism. Hmgcs2 provided energy directly, and Cptla regulated cellular inflammatory responses, promoting energy metabolism. | ZHOU Tong XU Guangyu SUN Luyao YU Zhenxiang WANG Guixia | 2019 | Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2019,35,3: | 1
A chromosome-level genome assembly provides insights into Cornus wilsoniana evolution, oil biosynthesis, and floral bud development显示文摘Cornus wilsoniana W.is a woody oil plant with high oil content and strong hypolipidemic effects, making it a valuable species for medicinal, landscaping, and ecological purposes in China. To advance genetic research on this species,we employed PacBio together with Hi-C data to create a draft genome assembly for C.wilsoniana.Based on an 11-chromosome anchored chromosome-level assembly, the estimated genome size was determined to be 843.51 Mb.The N50 contig size and N50 scaffold size were calculated to be 4.49 and 78.00 Mb,respectively.Furthermore,30474 protein-coding genes were annotated.Comparative genomics analysis revealed that C.wilsoniana diverged from its closest species∼12.46 million years ago(Mya).Furthermore, the divergence between Cornaceae and Nyssaceae occurred>62.22 Mya.We also found evidence of whole-genome duplication events and whole-genome triplicationγ,occurring at∼44.90 and 115.86 Mya.We further inferred the origins of chromosomes, which sheds light on the complex evolutionary history of the karyotype of C.wilsoniana.Through transcriptional and metabolic analysis,we identified two FAD2 homologous genes that may play a crucial role in controlling the oleic to linoleic acid ratio. We further investigated the correlation between metabolites and genes and identified 33 MADS-TF homologous genes that may affect f lower morphology in C.wilsoniana.Overall,this study lays the groundwork for future research aimed at identifying the genetic basis of crucial traits in C.wilsoniana. | Zhenxiang He Haoyu Chao Xinkai Zhou Qingyang Ni Yueming Hu Ranran Yu Minghuai Wang Changzhu Li Jingzhen Chen Yunzhu Chen Yong Chen Chunyi Cui Liangbo Zhang Ming Chen Dijun Chen | 2023 | Horticulture Research2023,10,11: | 0
LaBr_(2)bilayer multiferroic moirésuperlattice with robust magnetoelectric coupling and magnetic bimerons显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D)van der Waals(vdW)materials provide the versatile playground to stack two or more vdW layers for creation of superior materials with desired properties. Here we theoretically adopt a twisted stack-engineering of two LaBr_(2)monolayers to break space inversion symmetry for ferroelectricity and ultimately multiferroism. The enhancement and reversal of electric polarization are accompanied with the transition from interlayer ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic orderings, demonstrating an effective magnetoelectric coupling effect with a mechanism dissimilar to that of the conventional multiferroics.Magnetization dynamics simulations show that such magnetic phase transition can excite topologically protected bimeron, and the skyrmion Hall effect can be suppressed by bilayer-bimeron stabilized in both ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic configurations. Moreover,in the small-angle twisted moirésuperlattice, the uniform polarization will evolve into a staggered domain structure, accompanied with the appearance of bimeron, which forms a significant discrepancy with the non-twisted stack-engineered multiferroic LaBr_(2)bilayer.This work provides a strategy for 2D multiferroic materials by twisted stack engineering of magnetic single layers. | Wei Sun Wenxuan Wang Hang Li Xiaoning Li Zheyin Yu Ying Bai Guangbiao Zhang Zhenxiang Cheng | 2022 | npj Computational Materials2022,,1: | 0
PHOTOEMISSION STUDIES OF Pd/D SYSTEM WITH HIGH DEUTERIUM CONTENT显示文摘The ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy(UPS)spectra of Pd/D system(including absorption at high pressure)with various D contents were measured. The D absorption induced a new peak centered at about 6eV below Ef,which seems to derive from the hybridized states of deuterium and Pd electronic states. Its intensity increases with D content;only part of the D atoms in the Pd lattice are ionized at high D content. | LIU Zhenxiang XIE Kan QI Shangxue CAO Jianming LI Nan YU Xingnan LIN Zhangda | 1990 | Chinese Physics Letters1990,7,3: | 0
Simultaneously enhanced energy storage performance and luminance resistance in (K_(0.5)Na_(0.5))NbO_(3) -based ceramics via synergistic optimization strategy显示文摘The rapidly advancing energy storage performance of dielectric ceramics capacitors has garnered significant interest for applications in fast charge/discharge and high-power electronic techniques.Exploring the exceptional electrical properties in harsh environments can further promote their practical applications.Defect carriers can be excited under luminance irradiation, thereby leading to degradation of energy storage performance.Herein,a synergic optimization strategy is proposed to enhance energy storage properties and luminance resistance of(K_(0.5)Na_(0.5))NbO_(3)-base(KNN)ceramics.First,the introduction of Bi(Zn0.5Ti0.5)O_(3) solid solution and La3+ions disrupts the long-range polar orders and enhances super paraelectric relaxation characteristics.Additionally, doping La3+ions can increase the band gap and reduce oxygen vacancy concentration, resulting in excellent luminance resistance. Finally, the viscous polymer process is employed to suppress the grain growth and promote chemical homogeneity. As a result, ultrahigh recoverable energy storage density(Wrec)of 8.11 J/cm3 and high efficiency(η)of 80.98%are achieved under an electric field of 568 kV/cm.Moreover,the variations in Wrec andηare only 12.45%and 1.75%,respectively,under 500 W xenon lamp irradiation compared to the performance under a dark environment. These findings hold great potential in facilitating the practical application of dielectric ceramic capacitors in luminance irradiation environments. | Yu Huan Diyu Gui Changxiao Li Tao Wei Lingzhi Wu Xinjian Wang Xiaozhi Wang Zhenxiang Cheng | 2024 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2024,13,1: | 0
Wax from Pyrolysis of Waste Plastics as a Potential Source of Phase Change Material for Thermal Energy Storage显示文摘Over the past half-century, plastic consumption has grown rapidly due to its versatility, low cost, and unrivaled functional properties. Among the diff erent implemented strategies for recycling waste plastics, pyrolysis is deemed the most economical option. Currently, the wax obtained from the pyrolysis of waste plastics is mainly used as a feedstock to manufacture chemicals and fuels or added to asphalt for pavement construction, with no other applications of wax being reported. Herein, the thermal pyrolysis of three common waste polyolefin plastics: high-density polyethylene(HDPE), low-density polyethylene(LDPE), and polypropylene(PP), was conducted at 450 ℃. The waste plastics-derived waxes were characterized and studied for a potential new application: phase change materials(PCMs) for thermal energy storage(TES). Gas chromatography–mass spectrometry analysis showed that paraffin makes up most of the composition of HDPE and LDPE waxes, whereas PP wax contains a mixture of naphthene, isoparaffin, olefin, and paraffin. Diff erential scanning calorimetry(DSC) analysis indicated that HDPE and LDPE waxes have a peak melting temperature of 33.8 ℃ and 40.3 ℃, with a relatively high latent heat of 103.2 J/g and 88.3 J/g, respectively, whereas the PP wax was found to have almost negligible latent heat. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and DSC results revealed good chemical and thermal stability of HDPE and LDPE waxes after 100 cycles of thermal cycling. Performance evaluation of the waxes was also conducted using a thermal storage pad to understand their thermoregulation characteristics for TES applications. | Pin Jin Ong Zhi Xiong Jerry Heng Zhenxiang Xing Hnin Yu Yu Ko Pei Wang Hongfei Liu Rong Ji Xizu Wang Beng Hoon Tan Zibiao Li Jian Wei Xu Xian Jun Loh Enyi Ye Qiang Zhu | 2023 | Transactions of Tianjin University2023,29,3: | 0
Single-nucleus transcriptomic profiling of multiple organs in a rhesus macaque model of SARS-CoV-2 infection显示文摘Infection with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2) causes diverse clinical manifestations and tissue injuries in multiple organs. However, cellular and molecular understanding of SARS-CoV-2 infection-associated pathology and immune defense features in different organs remains incomplete. Here, we profiled approximately 77 000single-nucleus transcriptomes of the lung, liver, kidney, and cerebral cortex in rhesus macaques(Macaca mulatta) infected with SARS-CoV-2 and healthy controls. Integrated analysis of the multiorgan dataset suggested that the liver harbored the strongest global transcriptional alterations. We observed prominent impairment in lung epithelial cells, especially in AT2 and ciliated cells, and evident signs of fibrosis in fibroblasts. These lung injury characteristics are similar to those reported in patients with coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).Furthermore, we found suppressed MHC class I/II molecular activity in the lung, inflammatory response in the liver, and activation of the kynurenine pathway, which induced the development of an immunosuppressive microenvironment. Analysis of the kidney dataset highlighted tropism of tubule cells to SARS-CoV-2, and we found membranous nephropathy(an autoimmune disease) caused by podocyte dysregulation. In addition, we identified the pathological states of astrocytes and oligodendrocytes in the cerebral cortex, providing molecular insights into COVID-19-related neurological implications. Overall, our multi-organ single-nucleus transcriptomic survey of SARS-CoV-2-infected rhesus macaques broadens our understanding of disease features and antiviral immune defects caused by SARS-CoV-2 infection, which may facilitate the development of therapeutic interventions for COVID-19. | Qiang Ma Wenji Ma Tian-Zhang Song Zhaobo Wu Zeyuan Liu Zhenxiang Hu Jian-Bao Han Ling Xu Bo Zeng Bosong Wang Yinuo Sun Dan-Dan Yu Qian Wu Yong-Gang Yao Yong-Tang Zheng Xiaoqun Wang | 2022 | Zoological Research2022,43,6: | 0
