2Mg-Fe LDH sealed PEO coating on magnesium for biodegradation control,antibacteria and osteogenesis显示文摘Attempt of developing bio-safety and functional layered double hydroxides(LDHs)modifed plasma electrolytic oxidation(PEO)coatings,has become a hotspot in the protection of magnesium(Mg)based biomedical implants.In the present work,Mg-Fe LDH flms with different Fe contents were fabricated on PEO coating via a novel two-step method:frstly,the Fe OOH flms were prepared by immersing PEO sample in Fe^(2+)-containing solution,and then Mg-Fe LDH flms were formed by transforming the Fe OOH flms via a hydrothermal treatment in water.The highly-oriented LDH nano-sheets could enhance the anti-corrosion performance of PEO coating,which was proved by the results of electrochemical test,hydrogen evolution and corroded morphology.PEO/Mg-Fe LDH coatings showed a low hemolysis rate(less5%)than PEO coating.In addition,PEO/Mg-Fe LDH coatings were more favorable for cell adhesion and proliferation than PEO coating.Moreover,PEO/Mg-Fe LDH coatings showed good photothermal conversion property,which demonstrated the excellent rapid antibacterial effect under NIR light.In vitro culture of rat bone marrow stem cell(r BMSC)suggested that cells cultured in the extract of PEO/Mg-Fe LDH coatings had a better osteogenic activity.In vivo subcutaneous implantation test revealed that PEO/Mg-Fe LDH coatings exhibited good anti-corrosion and histocompatibility.Dongdong Zhang Jielong Zhou Feng Peng Ji Tan Xianming Zhang Shi Qian Yuqin Qiao Yu Zhang Xuanyong Liu 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,10:3

5Further Understanding of the Food Safety Problem显示文摘Frequent occurrence of food quality and safety proves that it is not effective to solve the Problem only from mechanism and supervision mechanism. Instead,it may expand solution ideas from external environment inducing changes of social institutions. Edible agricultural products are raw materials of foods,so their quality and safety are decisive for food quality and safety. Combining with concept of quality and safety of edible agricultural products,from social economy,science,technology and culture,environment cognition,this paper made a further understanding of food quality and safety. It found that the quality and safety of domestic edible agricultural products are not completely resulted from human factor,and not completely quality and safety problem in practical sense. 7A new method for the prediction of network security situations based on recurrent neural network with gated recurrent unit显示文摘Purpose-The purpose of this paper is to solve the shortage of the existing methods for the prediction of network security situations(NSS).Because the conventional methods for the prediction of NSS,such as support vector machine,particle swarm optimization,etc.,lack accuracy,robustness and efficiency,in this study,the authors propose a new method for the prediction of NSS based on recurrent neural network(RNN)with gated recurrent unit.Design/methodology/approach-This method extracts internal and external information features from the original time-series network data for the first time.Then,the extracted features are applied to the deep RNN model for training and validation.After iteration and optimization,the accuracy of predictions of NSS will be obtained by the well-trained model,and the model is robust for the unstable network data.Findings-Experiments on bench marked data set show that the proposed method obtains more accurate and robust prediction results than conventional models.Although the deep RNN models need more time consumption for training,they guarantee the accuracy and robustness of prediction in return for validation.Originality/value-In the prediction of NSS time-series data,the proposed internal and external information features are well described the original data,and the employment of deep RNN model will outperform the state-of-the-arts models.Wei Feng Yuqin Wu Yexian Fan 2020International Journal of Intelligent Computing and Cybernetics2020,13,1:1

10Efficacy and safety of obinutuzumab for the first-line treatment of follicular lymphoma:a subgroup analysis of Chinese patients enrolled in the phase III GALLIUM study显示文摘Backgrounds:GALLIUM is a global phase Ⅲ study that demonstrated significant improvements in progression-free survival(PFS)for obinutuzumab plus chemotherapy(G-chemo)vs.rituximab plus chemotherapy(R-chemo)in previously untreated patients with follicular lymphoma(FL).This study aimed to report the results of a subgroup of patients in China.Methods:Patients were randomized to G-chemo or R-chemo.Responders received maintenance therapy for 2 years or until disease progression.The primary endpoint was investigator(INV)-assessed PFS.Secondary endpoints included the overall response rate(ORR)and complete response rate(CRR)at the end of induction chemotherapy,overall survival(OS),and safety.Results:Overall,58 patients with FL were randomized to the G-chemo(n=25)and R-chemo arms(n=33).The INV-assessed PFS rate at 3 years was 81.8%in the G-chemo arm,vs.70.2%in the R-chemo arm(hazard ratio 0.35;95%confidence interval:0.09-1.34;P=0.1120).The INV-assessed CRRs(without positron emission tomography[PET])in these arms were 24.0%and 21.2%,respectively,whereas the ORRs were 80.0%and 90.9%,respectively.INV-assessed CRR-PET was 52.6%in the G-chemo,vs.60.9%in the R-chemo.Median OS was not reached in either arm.Grade 3 to 5 adverse events were more frequent in the R-chemo arm(97.0%vs.88.0%).Conclusions:The results of this subgroup analysis were consistent with those of the global population,and they suggest that G-chemo has a positive benefit-risk profile in patients from China with FL.Trial registration:ClinicalTrials.gov,No.NCT01332968.Xiaonan Hong Yuqin Song Yuankai Shi Qingyuan Zhang Wei Guo Gang Wu Junmin Li Jifeng Feng Anastasiia Kinkolykh Andrea Knapp Tongyu Lin 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,4:1
11Biomechanical evaluation of two fusion techniques based on finite element analysis:Percutaneous endoscopic and minimally invasive transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion显示文摘As a novel minimally invasive technique,percutaneous endoscopic transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion(PETLIF)has been widely used in the treatment of lumbar degenerative diseases.The purpose of this study was to analyze these two operation types’biomechanical performances of PE-TLIF and traditional minimally invasive transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion(MIS-TLIF)using the finite element(FE)method.The intact FE models of L4-L5 were established and validated based on the CT images.On this basis,the FE models of MIS-TLIF and PETLIF were established and analyzed.It is demonstrated that for lumbar interbody fusion with the oblique asymmetrically implanted cage under bilateral pedicle screws and rods fixation,such as MIS-TLIF and PE-TLIF,different degrees of articular process resection have no significant effect on the cage subsidence,and the surgical segment can achieve similar stability.In addition,the maximum stress of the L4 inferior endplate of MIS-TLIF and PE-TLIF is greater than that of the L5 superior endplate,which indicates that MIS-TLIF and PE-TLIF can cause cage subsidence in the L4 inferior endplate.Yang Yan Jiarui Li Jianhao Yu Yan Wang Hao Dong Yuqin Sun Xiaogang Wu Liming He Weiyi Chen Haoyu Feng 2022Medicine in Novel Technology and Devices2022,,4:1

14Microenvironment-responsive electrocution of tumor and bacteria by implants modified with degenerate semiconductor film显示文摘Implantable biomaterials are widely used in the curative resection and palliative treatment of various types of cancers.However,cancer residue around the implants usually leads to treatment failure with cancer reoccurrence.Postoperation chemotherapy and radiation therapy are widely applied to clear the residual cancer cells but induce serious side effects.It is urgent to develop advanced therapy to minimize systemic toxicity while maintaining efficient cancer-killing ability.Herein,we report a degenerate layered double hydroxide(LDH)film modified implant,which realizes microenvironment-responsive electrotherapy.The film can gradually transform into a nondegenerate state and release holes.When in contact with tumor cells or bacteria,the film quickly transforms into a nondegenerate state and releases holes at a high rate,rendering the“electrocution”of tumor cells and bacteria.However,when placed in normal tissue,the hole release rate of the film is much slower,thus,causing little harm to normal cells.Therefore,the constructed film can intelligently identify and meet the physiological requirements promptly.In addition,the transformation between degenerate and nondegenerate states of LDH films can be cycled by electrical charging,so their selective and dynamic physiological functions can be artificially adjusted according to demand.Donghui Wang Shun Xing Feng Peng Xianming Zhang Ji Tan Xueqing Hao Yuqin Qiao Naijian Ge Xuanyong Liu 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,2:0

16Impact of ENSO on MJO Pattern Evolution over the Maritime Continent显示文摘The modulation of Madden–Julian oscillation(MJO)pattern evolution over the Maritime Continent(MC)by El Nino–Southern Oscillation(ENSO)was investigated through a combined observational and modeling study.MJO convective branches shifted south of the equator over the MC during eastern Pacific(EP)El Nino winters,while it became relatively symmetric about the equator during La Ni?a winters.The impact of central Pacific(CP)El Ninos to MJO pattern,on the other hand,is not statistically significant.The cause of the distinctive MJO pattern evolutions is likely attributed to the ENSO-induced changes of the background moisture and vertical shear over the MC.Idealized numerical experiments with a 2.5-layer model were carried out,and the result revealed that the background moisture change played a dominant role.An observational diagnosis of column-integrated moist static energy(MSE)budgets was further conducted.The result indicated that the MJO pattern difference was attributed to the MSE tendency asymmetry in front of MJO convection between EP El Nino and La Ni?a,caused by the advection of the mean MSE by anomalous meridional wind.The difference in the MJO-scale anomalous meridional wind was ultimately controlled by the change of the background meridional moisture gradient associated with EP El Nino and La Ni?a.Jia LIU Yuqin DA Tim LI Feng HU 2020Journal of Meteorological Research2020,34,6:0
17Emergence of hypervirulent Pseudomonas aeruginosa pathotypically armed with co-expressed T3SS effectors ExoS and ExoU显示文摘Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a significant pathogen mainly causing healthcare-associated infections(HAIs).Newly emerging high-risk clones of P.aeruginosa with elevated virulence profiles furtherly cause severe community-acquired infections(CAIs).Usually,it is not common for P.aeruginosa to co-carry exoU and exoS genes,encoding two type III secretion system(T3SS)effectors.The pathogenicity mechanism of exoS+/exoU+strains of P.aeruginosa remains unclear.Here,we provide detailed evidence for a subset of hypervirulent P.aeruginosa strains,which abundantly co-express and secrete the T3SS effectors ExoS and ExoU.The exoS+/exoU+P.aeruginosa strains were available to cause both HAIs and CAIs.The CAI-associated strains could elicit severe inflammation and hemorrhage,leading to higher death rates in a murine acute pneumonia model,and had great virulence potential in establishing chronic infections,demonstrating hypervirulence when compared to PAO1(exoS+/exoU-)and PA14(exoS-/exoU+).Both ExoS and ExoU were co-expressed and co-secreted in abundance in exoS+/exoU+strains.Their abundant protein secretion could boost exoS+/exoU+strains’potentials for cytotoxicity in vitro and pathogenicity in vivo.Genomic evidence indicates that exoU acquisition is likely mediated by horizontal gene transfer(HGT)of the pathogenicity island PAPI-2,while deletion of exoU was sufficient to mitigate virulence in the exoS+/exoU+strains.Furthermore,bioinformatics analysis showed that such exoS+/exoU+P.aeruginosa strains turned out to be widely distributed across the globe.Overall,the research provide detailed evidence for the high virulence and epidemicity of exoS+/exoU+strains of P.aeruginosa,highlighting an urgent need for surveillance against these high-risk hypervirulent strains.Yuqin Song Yongqi Mu Nai-Kei Wong Zhuo Yue Juan Li Min Yuan Xiong Zhu Jinshu Hu Gang Zhang Dawei Wei Chao Wang Weihui Wu Fang Bai Jie Feng 2023hLife2023,1,1:0

19Effects of anesthetic depth on postoperative pain and delirium:a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials with trial sequential analysis显示文摘Background:Whether anesthetic depth affects postoperative outcomes remains controversial.This meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the effects of deepvs.light anesthesia on postoperative pain,cognitive function,recovery from anesthesia,complications,and mortality.Methods:PubMed,EMBASE,and Cochrane CENTRAL databases were searched until January 2022 for randomized controlled trials comparing deep and light anesthesia in adult surgical patients.The co-primary outcomes were postoperative pain and delirium(assessed using the confusion assessment method).We conducted a meta-analysis using a random-effects model.We assessed publication bias using the Begg’s rank correlation test and Egger’s linear regression.We evaluated the evidence using the trial sequential analysis and Grading of Recommendations Assessment,Development and Evaluation(GRADE)methodology.We conducted subgroup analyses for pain scores at different postoperative time points and delirium according to cardiac or non-cardiac surgery.Results:A total of 26 trials with 10,743 patients were included.Deep anesthesia compared with light anesthesia(a mean difference in bispectral index of-12 to-11)was associated with lower pain scores at rest at 0 to 1 h postoperatively(weighted mean difference=-0.72,95%confidence interval[CI]=-1.25 to-0.18,P=0.009;moderate-quality evidence)and an increased incidence of postoperative delirium(24.95%vs.15.92%;risk ratio=1.57,95%CI=1.28-1.91,P<0.0001;high-quality evidence).No publication bias was detected.For the exploratory secondary outcomes,deep anesthesia was associated with prolonged postoperative recovery,without affecting neurocognitive outcomes,major complications,or mortality.In the subgroup analyses,the deep anesthesia group had lower pain scores at rest and on movement during 24 h postoperatively,without statistically significant subgroup differences,and deep anesthesia was associated with an increased incidence of delirium after non-cardiac and cardiac surgeries,without statistically significant subgroup differences.Conclusions:Deep anesthesia reduced early postoperative pain but increased postoperative delirium.The current evidence does not support the use of deep anesthesia in clinical practice.Yuqin Long Xiaomei Feng Hong Liu Xisheng Shan Fuhai Ji Ke Peng 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,135,23:0
