| 1 | Lopingian mixed floras from Linxi Formation in Soron area,Inner Mongolia显示文摘A lot of well-preserved plants from the Linxi Formation are collected in the Soron area,Inner Mongolia,consisting of 34 species of 16 genera. They are Late Permian in age. The flora is characterized by a lot of Angaran plants,such as Paracalamites,Comia,Rhachiphyllum,Iniopteris,Rufloria,etc. Some Cathaysian elements,such as Lobatannularia lingulata,L. multifolia,Fascipteris Cathaysiantus,F. densata,Taeniopteris szei,Cladophlebis liulinensis and C. permica,are also mixed within the present flora. This indicates that the Soron of Inner Mongolia was located in the sector between the Angaran and Cathysian floristic provinces in Lopingian. It is beneficial for depicting the location and the evolution of the Solenker--Xar Moron suture zone in the phytogeographic view. | 2 | Experimental study on performance of pneumatic seeding system显示文摘The purpose of this study was to promote the development of large-scale agricultural machines in China and meet the demand of air seeder localization.This study investigated the relationship between the working parameters and the performance of pneumatic seeding system,Cangmai 6004 wheat seed was used.A test platform for pneumatic seeding systems was developed,and then a series of experiments were performed based on the quadratic general rotary unitized design and response surface methodology(RSM).The seeding rate and the air flow rate were selected as affecting factors,coefficient of variation(CV)of evenness of feeding rate between rows and CV of seeding stability of total rows were assigned as the test indexes.Regression models between factors and indexes were established,and finally,an optimal equation based on this pneumatic seeding system were established as well,which can determine the proper air flow rate once the seeding rate was set based on the practical agronomic requirements.For example,when the seeding rate is set as 250 kg/hm^(2),the proper air flow rate of 7.53 m3/min can be obtained.The verification experiment results showed that the predicted working parameters obtained by RSM were feasible,which might provide a theoretical basis for further research of pneumatic seed metering systems. | Liu Lijing Yang Hui Ma Shaochun | 2016 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,6: | 7 |

| 6 | New Bulb Turbine with Counter-rotating Tandem-runner显示文摘With the increasing demand for the clean sustainable power, the turbine design urgently turns to increase the capability significantly toward higher head for generating larger power. Currently, there are many studies in the field of the bulb turbine with single-stage runner, though reports about counter-rotating tandem-runner are rare. However, the further high-head application with the single-stage runner is very difficult to achieve due to the limit of the specific speed. In this paper, a new bulb turbine with the tandem-runner is designed in order to substantially increase the applicable limit toward higher head with larger power. A half of the net head is absorbed by the frontal runner which can generate output power, while the remaining half is absorbed by the rear runner. To generate the Euler energy required for the rear runner, the frontal runner has the counter-rotation against the rear runner so that the counter-rotating tandem-runner can meet the purpose of double head and power under the same size as the conventional bulb turbine. Supply and demand of Euler energy between the two runners are thoroughly optimized through the detailed flow analysis, in order to secure the stable operation. As a result, the interference of Euler energies between the outflow from the frontal runner and the inflow to the rear runner is confirmed to be very small on the counter-rotating interface between the two runners. The prediction method of on-cam performance between the two adjustable runners is also developed numerically, which provides optimal flow between the two runners. | 7 | Temperature inferential control of a reactive distillation column with double reactive sections显示文摘Temperature inferential control (TIC) is studied for a reactive distillation column with double reactive sections (RDC-DRSs) processing a hypothetical two-stage consecutive reversible reaction (A + B■C + D, C + B■E + D with αD > αB > αC > αA > αE). Because of the complicated dynamic behaviors, the controlled stages by sensitivity analysis lead to great steady-state deviations (SSDs) in top and bottom product purities. Since TIC involves considerably reduced settling times in comparison with direct composition control, small SSDs in product qualities correspond generally to small transient deviations (TDs) in product qualities. An objective function that measures SSDs in product qualities is formulated to represent the performance of a TIC system and an iterative procedure is devised to search for the best control configuration. The application of the procedure to the RDC-DRS gives considerably suppressed TDs and SSDs in top and bottom product qualities as compared with the one by sensitivity analysis. The method is simpler in principle and less computationally intensive than the current practice. | 8 | Oxidation behavior of ammonium in a 3-dimensional biofilm-electrode reactor显示文摘Excess nitrogenous compounds are detrimental to natural water systems and to human health. To completely realize autohy- drogenotrophic nitrogen removal, a novel 3-dimensional biofilm-electrode reactor was designed. Titanium was electroplated with ruthenium and used as the anode. Activated carbon fiber felt was used as the cathode. The reactor was separated into two chambers by a permeable membrane. The cathode chamber was filled with granular graphite and glass beads. The cathode and cathode chamber were inhabited with domesticated biofilm. In the absence of organic substances, a nitrogen removal efciency of up to 91% was achieved at DO levels of 3.42 ± 0.37 mg/L when the applied current density was only 0.02 mA/cm2. The oxidation of ammonium in biofilm- electrode reactors was also investigated. It was found that ammonium could be oxidized not only on the anode but also on particle electrodes in the cathode chamber of the biofilm-electrode reactor. Oxidation rates of ammonium and nitrogen removal efciency were found to be afected by the electric current loading on the biofilm-electrode reactor. The kinetic model of ammonium at diferent electric currents was analyzed by a first-order reaction kinetics equation. The regression analysis implied that when the current density was less than 0.02 mA/cm2, ammonium removal was positively correlated to the current density. | 9 | Unfolded protein response activation compensates endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation deficiency in Arabidopsis显示文摘Abiotic stresses often disrupt protein folding and induce endoplasmic reticulum(ER) stress. There is a sophisticated ER quality control(ERQC) system to mitigate the effects of malfunctioning proteins and maintain ER homeostasis. The accumulation of misfolded proteins in the ER activates the unfolded protein response(UPR) to enhance ER protein folding and the degradation of misfolded proteins mediate by ERassociated degradation(ERAD). That ERQC reduces abiotic stress damage has been well studied in mammals and yeast. However, in plants, both ERAD and UPR have been studied separately and found to be critical for plant abiotic stress tolerance. In this study, we discovered thatUPR-associated transcription factors Atb ZIP17, AtbZIP28 and AtbZIP60 responded to tunicamycin(TM) and Na Cl induced ER stress and subsequently enhanced Arabidopsis thaliana abiotic stress tolerance. They regulated the expression level of ER chaperones and the HRD1-complex components.
