| 1 | Estimating aboveground biomass in Mu Us Sandy Land using Landsat spectral derived vegetation indices over the past 30 years显示文摘Remote sensing is a valuable and effective tool for monitoring and estimating aboveground biomass(AGB) in large areas.The current international research on biomass estimation by remote sensing technique mainly focused on forests,grasslands and crops,with relatively few applications for desert ecosystems.In this paper,Landsat Thematic Mapper(TM)/Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus(ETM+) images from 1988 to 2007 and the data of 283 AGB samples in August 2007 were used to estimate the AGB for Mu Us Sandy Land over the past 30 years.Moreover,temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of AGB and influencing factors of climate and underlying surface were also studied.Results show that:(1) Differences of correlations exist in the fitted equations between AGB and different vegetation indices in desert areas.The modified soil adjusted vegetation index(MSAVI) and soil adjusted vegetation index(SAVI) show relatively higher correlations with AGB,while the correlation between normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI) and AGB is relatively lower.Error testing shows that the AGB-MSAVI model established can be used to accurately estimate AGB of Mu Us Sandy Land in August.(2) AGB in Mu Us Sandy Land shows the fluctuant characteristics over the past 30 years,which decreased from the 1980s to the 1990s,and increased from the 1990s to 2007.AGB in 2007 had the highest value,with a total AGB of 3.352×106 t.Moreover,in the 1990s,AGB had the lowest value with a total AGB of 2.328×106 t.(3) AGB with relatively higher values was mainly located in the middle and southern parts of Mu Us Sandy Land in the 1980s.AGB was low in the whole area in the1990s,and relatively higher AGB values were mainly located in the southern parts of Uxin.In 2007,AGB in the whole area was relatively higher than those of the last twenty years,and higher AGB values were mainly located in the northern,western and middle parts of Mu Us Sandy Land. | Feng YAN Bo WU YanJiao WANG | 2013 | Journal of Arid Land2013,5,4: | 19 |
| 2 | Aspirin alleviates endothelial gap junction dysfunction through inhibition of NLRP3inflammasome activation in LPS-induced vascular injury显示文摘The loss of endothelial connective integrity and endothelial barrier dysfunction can lead to increased vascular injury, which is related to the activation of endothelial inflammasomes. There are evidences that low concentrations of aspirin can effectively prevent cardiovascular diseases. We hypothesized that low-dose aspirin could ameliorate endothelial injury by inhibiting the activation of NLRP3 inflammasomes and ultimately prevent cardiovascular diseases. Microvascular endothelial cells were stimulated by lipopolysaccharide(2 μg/mL) and administrated by 0.1–2 mmol/L aspirin. The wild type mice were stimulated with LPS(100 μg/kg/day), and 1 h later treated with aspirin(12.5, 62.5, or125 mg/kg/day) and dexamethasone(0.0182 mg/kg/day) for 7 days. Plasma and heart were harvested for measurement of ELISA and immunofluorescence analyses. We found that aspirin could inhibit NLRP3 inflammasome formation and activation in vitro in dose-dependent manner and has correlation between the NLRP3 inflammasome and the ROS/TXNIP pathway. We also found that low-concentration aspirin could inhibit the formation and activation of NLRP3 inflammasome and restore the expression of theendothelial tight junction protein zonula occludens-1/2(ZO1/2). | 4 | Effects of Dietary Corn Gluten Meal on Growth Performance and Protein Metabolism in Relation to IGF-I and TOR Gene Expression of Juvenile Cobia (Rachycentron canadum)显示文摘A growth experiment was conducted on cobia(Rachycentron canadum,initial weight 108.2 g ± 3.0 g) to investigate the effects of dietary corn gluten meal(CGM) levels on the fish growth,whole body composition and protein metabolism in relation to specific gene expression.Five isonitrogenous(crude protein 45%) and isoenergetic(gross energy 20 kJ g 1) practical diets were formulated by replacing 0%(the control),17.5%,35.0%,52.5%,and 70.0% of fish meal(FM) protein with CGM protein.No significant differences were observed in the survival,feed intake(FI),specific growth rate(SGR),feed efficiency(FE) and protein productive value(PPV) among fish fed diets with 0%,17.5%,35.0%,and 52.5% of CGM protein.However,these indices were significantly lower in fish fed the diet with 70.0% of CGM protein than those in fish fed the control diet(P < 0.05).The whole-body crude protein and lipid contents were significantly lower while the whole-body moisture content was significantly higher in fish fed the diet with 70.0% of CGM protein compared with the control group(P < 0.05).When 70.0% of FM protein was replaced by CGM,plasma total protein and cholesterol contents were significantly lower than those in the control group(P < 0.05).Fish fed the diet with 70.0% of CGM protein had significantly lower hepatic insulin-like growth factor I(IGF-I) expression levels than those in the control group(P < 0.05).However,no significant differences were observed in hepatic target of rapamycin(TOR),dorsal muscle IGF-I and TOR expression levels among dietary treatments.Results of the present study indicated that 52.5% of FM protein could be replaced by CGM in the diets without significant influences on the growth,feed utilization and protein metabolism of juvenile cobia.The present results might be useful for developing cost effective and sustainable cobia dietary formulations. | LUO Yiwen AI Qinghui MAI Kangsen ZHANG Wenbing XU Wei ZHANG Yanjiao LIUFU Zhiguo | 2013 | Journal of Ocean University of China2013,12,3: | 10 |
| 5 | Effects of Dietary Stachyose on Growth Performance, Digestive Enzyme Activities and Intestinal Morphology of Juvenile Turbot(Scophthalmus maximus L)显示文摘A 12-week feeding trial was conducted to evaluate the effects of dietary stachyose on the growth performance, digestive enzymes activities and intestinal structures of juvenile turbot(Scophthalmus maximus L). Five isonitrogenous(49.58% crude protein) and isolipidic(10.50% crude lipid) diets were formulated to contain 0(Control), 0.625%(S-0.625), 1.25%(S-1.25), 2.5%(S-2.5) and 5%(S-5) stachyose, respectively. With the increase of stachyose level, the growth performance and feed utilization of turbot, such as the specific growth rate, final mean body weight, weight gain rate and feed efficiency, increased significantly(P < 0.05) and then stabilized. The feed intake of fish fed S-5 was significantly higher(P < 0.05) than that of fish in other groups. The activities of trypsin, intestinal caseinolytic, stomach and intestinal amylase were significantly influenced by stachyose(P < 0.05). The highest values of trypsin and intestinal caseinolytic activities were observed in group S-1.25, while the highest activity of stomach amylase and the lowest activity of intestine amylase were observed in group S-5. No lesion or damage was found on the distal intestine structures of fish from all treatments, while the height of simple folds in the distal intestine was significantly increased(P< 0.05) when 1.25% or 2.5% stachyose was added in the diets. | 7 | Effects of Brown Fish Meal Replacement with Fermented Soybean Meal on Growth Performance, Feed Efficiency and Enzyme Activities of Chinese Soft-shelled Turtle, Pelodiscus sinensis显示文摘A 120-day feeding experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of partial replacement of brown fish meal (BFM) by fermented soybean meal (FSBM) in diets of Chinese soft-shelled turtle (Pelodiscus sinensis). The turtles (initial mean body weight, (115.52 ± 1.05) g) were fed with three experimental diets, in which 0%, 4.72% and 9.44% BFM protein was replaced by 0%, 3% and 6% FSBM, respectively. Results showed that the feeding rate (FR), specific growth rate (SGR) and feed efficiency ratio (FER) of turtles fed with the diet containing 3% FSBM were not significantly different from the control group (0% FSBM) (P > 0.05). However, FR, SGR and FER of turtles fed with the diet containing 6% FSBM were significantly lower than those of the control group (P < 0.05). No significant differences were observed in the activities of serum glutamic-oxalacetic transaminase and glutamicpyruvic transaminase among dietary treatments (P > 0.05). However, the uric acid concentration in turtles fed with the diet containing 3% or 6% FSBM was significantly lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05). There were no significant differences in the activities of lysozyme, alkaline phosphatase and total superoxide dismutase among dietary treatments (P > 0.05). | 8 | Efficacy and safety of Reduqing granules in the treatment of common cold with wind-heat syndrome: a randomized, double-blind, double-dummy, positive-controlled trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To assess the efficacy and safety of Reduqing granules in patients with common cold with wind-heat syndrome(CCWHS).METHODS:A randomized, double-blind, double-dummy, parallel, positive-controlled trial included 72 CCWHS patients was performed.The participants were randomly assigned to two groups,Reduqing(RDQ) group and Lianhuaqingwen(LHQW) group, in a 1∶1 ratio.Patients in RDQ group received Reduqing granules and dummy Lianhuaqingwen capsules three times a day and patients in LHQW group received Lianhuaqingwen capsules and dummy Reduqing granules three times daily.The duration of treatment and follow-up were four days.RESULTS:There were no statistically significant differences in total markedly effective rate and total effective rate between RDQ group and LHQW group after treatment.Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) symptom score was significantly reduced after treatment in RDQ group, as well as in LHQW group.However, the difference of change in TCM symptom score between two groups was not statistically significant(P > 0.05).There were no significant differences between two groups in the median time to fever relief [RDQ group(4 ± 8) h vs LHQW group(4 ± 5) h] or the median time to fever clearance(RDQ group 47 h vs LHQW 36 h).No serious adverse events were reported during the study.CONCLUSION:Compared with Lianhuaqingwen capsules, Reduqing granules achieved similar therapeutic effect in the treatment of CCWHS and no drug-related adverse events were reported during the study.Therefore, Reduqing granules might be effective and safe in the treatment of CCWHS. | Ma Yanjiao Zhang Zhongyi Wei Lianbo He Shuai Deng Xun Ji Aimin Zhou Benjie Jiang Deqi Li Mingxing Wang Yong | 2017 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2017,37,2: | 5 |

| 10 | Effect and mechanism of stresses on rock permeability at different scales显示文摘The effect of geo-stress fields on macroscopic hydro-geological conditions or micro-cosmic permeability of water-bearing media should follow some laws or principles. Cases study and tests show that: (1) At macro-geologic large scale, deformed and crashed rocks which were induced by geo-stress fields changing provided space for groundwater storage and flow. Groundwater adjusts water-bearing space and dilatants fractures by flowing and press transferring. Coupling of liquid and solid can be implemented for rocks and groundwater. Although tectonic fields witness several times of change and build-up in geological time, stress fields forming regional tectonic framework are coherent with seepage fields, orientation of the maximum horizontal stress demonstrates main seepage direc-tions. (2) At macro-geologic middle scale, zones of stresses changing sharply, quite low stresses, stress or shear concentration can be used to show locations and types of main fractures, zones of geo-stresses changing equably can be acted as normal base media zones of tri-porosity media. (3) At micro-geologic small scale, tri-porosity media include fractured rocks, porous rocks and capillary rocks. Investigations indicate that porosity or permeability is functions of effective stresses, and po-rosity or permeability changing rules of porous rocks with variation of effective stresses can be de-scribed as the index model, the model of power exponent functions is suitable for those of fractured rocks, the model of the second power parabola for capillary rocks. The porosity and permeability loss in fractured rocks, which are greater than that in porous rocks, are shown by calculation of effective compressive coefficient and closing pressure in cracks. The calculations can also explain the mecha-nism why porosity changes are always larger than permeability changes. | 11 | Proline with or without Hydroxyproline Influences Collagen Concentration and Regulates Prolyl 4-Hydroxylase α(I) Gene Expression in Juvenile Turbot(Scophthalmus maximus L.)显示文摘This study was conducted to investigate the effect of dietary proline(Pro), and Pro and hydroxyproline(Hyp) in combination on the growth performance, total Hyp and collagen concentrations of tissues, and prolyl 4-hydroxylase α(I)(P4H α(I)) gene expression in juvenile turbot feeding high plant protein diets. A diet containing 50% crude protein and 12% crude lipid was formulated as the basal and control, on which other two protein and lipid contents identical experimental diets were formulated by supplementing the basal with either 0.75% Pro(Pro-0.75) or 0.75% Pro and 0.75% Hyp(Pro+Hyp). Four groups of fish in indoor seawater recirculating systems, 35 individuals each, were fed twice a day to apparent satiation for 10 weeks. The results showed that dietary Pro and Hyp supplementation had no significant effect on growth performance and feed utilization of juvenile turbot(P > 0.05). Total Hyp and collagen concentrations in muscle were significantly increased when dietary Pro and Hyp increased(P < 0.05), and fish fed diet Pro+Hyp showed significantly higher free Hyp content in plasma than those fed other diets(P < 0.05). The expression of P4 H α(I) gene in liver and muscle was significantly up regulated in fish fed diet Pro-0.75 in comparison with control(P < 0.05); however the gene was significantly down regulated in fish fed diet Pro+Hyp in muscle in comparison with fish fed diet Pro-0.75(P < 0.05). | 12 | The Crustal Structure and Seismic Activity in North China显示文摘A layered crustal block model of North China has been constructed based on large amount of data from seismic sounding carried out in recent two decades. Some deep fault zones, such as the Zhangjiakou.Penglai and Tancheng-Lujiang fault zones, divide the upper crust of North China into three upper crustal terranes and nine bolcks. There are distinct differences in velocity and depth distributions, which reflects Cenozoic block faulting in North China in the process of formation of the deep structure. The upper crust shows the features of transition in isostatic adjustment. The existence of a low-velocity layer in the middle crust is characteristic of the crustal structure in North China. There seems to be an increase of rheology of the rocks in the lower crust and a persistence of stable regional stress field. The patterns of the Moho on two sides of the Yanshan-Taihang Mountains are different. The relief of the Moho around Beijing, Shijiazhuang and Guangrao where the deep faults join together shows a quadrantal distribution in some degree. The dynamic sources for seismic activity are the NE-SW horizontal compression and the diapirism of the upper mantle. | 13 | Generation of obese rat model by transcription activator-like effector nucleases targeting the leptin receptor gene显示文摘The laboratory rat is a valuable mammalian model organism for basic research and drug discovery. Here we demonstrate an efficient methodology by applying transcription activator-like effector nucleases(TALENs) technology to generate Leptin receptor(Lepr) knockout rats on the Sprague Dawley(SD) genetic background. Through direct injection of in vitro transcribed m RNA of TALEN pairs into SD rat zygotes, somatic mutations were induced in two of three resulting pups. One of the founders carrying bi-allelic mutation exhibited early onset of obesity and infertility. The other founder carried a chimeric mutation which was efficiently transmitted to the progenies. Through phenotyping of the resulting three lines of rats bearing distinct mutations in the Lepr locus, we found that the strains with a frame-shifted or premature stop codon mutation led to obesity and metabolic disorders. However, no obvious defect was observed in a strain with an in-frame 57 bp deletion in the extracellular domain of Lepr. This suggests the deleted amino acids do not significantly affect Lepr structure and function. This is the first report of generating the Lepr mutant obese rat model in SD strain through a reverse genetic approach. | 14 | Supersaturation induced by Itraconazole/Soluplus micelles provided high GI absorption in vivo显示文摘To investigate the effect of supersaturation induced by micelle formation during dissolution on the bioavailability of itraconazole(ITZ)/Soluplus~? solid dispersion. Solid dispersions prepared by hot melt extrusion (HME) were compressed into tablets directly with other excipients. Dissolution behavior of ITZ tablets was studied by dissolution testing and the morphology of micelles in dissolution media was studied using transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Drug transferring from stomach into intestine was simulated to obtain a supersaturated drug solution. Bioavailability studies were performed on the ITZ tablets and Sporanox~? in beagle dogs. The morphology of micelles in the dissolution media was observed to be spherical in shape, with an average size smaller than 100 nm. The supersaturated solutions formed by Soluplus~? micelles were stable and no precipitation took place over a period of 180 min. Compared with Sporanox~?, ITZ tablets exhibited a 2.50-fold increase in the AUC (0–96) of ITZ and a 1.95-fold increase in its active metabolite hydroxyitraconazole (OHITZ) in the plasma of beagle dogs. The results obtained provided clear evidence that not only the increase in the dissolution rate in the stomach, but also the supersaturation produced by micelles in the small intestine may be of great assistance in the successful development of poorly water-soluble drugs. The micelles formed by Soluplus~? enwrapped the molecular ITZ inside the core which promoted the amount of free drug in the intestinal cavity and carried ITZ through the aqueous boundary layer(ABL), resulting in high absorption by passive transportation across biological membranes. The uptake of intact micelles through pinocytosis together with the inhibition of P-glycoprotein-mediated drug efflux in intestinal epithelia contributed to the absorption of ITZ in the gastrointestinal tract. | 15 | Characterization of bubble behaviors in a dense phase pulsed gas-solid fluidized bed for dry coal processing显示文摘Pulsed gas-solid fluidized beds can effectively separate fine coal,and bubbles play an important role in creating suitable separation conditions.The present study performed statistical and image analyses of the evolution of bubbles in a two-dimensional pulsed gas-solid fluidized bed using a high-speed dynamic camera.The effects of apparent gas velocity,pulsation frequency and particle size on bubble characteristics and bed expansi on were analyzed.The results indicate that,when a fluctuation freque ncy is added,the expa nsion height of the bed in creases,the effect of attachme nt to the bed wall decreases,the leading diameter and rising velocity of the bubbles both decrease and the degree of bubble deformation increases.These trends are also more obvious for fine particles.These findings dem on strate that a high density pulsed gas-solid fluidized bed can effectively combine gases and solids to produce a uniform,stable mixture.The bubble diameter and rising velocity were also simulated in the present work,and the relationship between the two was established using a fitting model with an error within 5%.This model provides an effective means of predicting bubble velocity as well as studying the distribution of the bubble phase and improving the stability of the bed density. | Yanjiao Li Fenglong Zhu Yadong Zhang Yuemin Zhao Gansu Zhang Qingqing Huang Liang Dong | 2020 | Particuology2020,18,6: | 2 |
| 16 | The protective effect and crucial biological pathways analysis of Trametes lactinea mycelium polysaccharides on acute alcoholic liver injury in mice based on transcriptomics and metabonomics显示文摘Trametes lactinea mycelia polysaccharides(TLMPS)have a wide range of bioactivities.The potential mechanisms of action of TLMPS against acute alcohol-induced liver injury in vivo were investigated by analyzing the physical and chemical properties of TLMPS and its protective effects on a mouse model of alcoholic liver injury.TLMPS protected the liver against alcohol-induced injury,as evidenced by the reduced alcohol-induced elevation of the liver index,serum biochemical indices,and maintenance of hepatic morphology.Potential mechanisms were analyzed using transcriptome and metabolome analyses.The transcriptome data revealed the involvement of many differentially expressed genes in chemical carcinogenesis,drug metabolism,and metabolism of xenobiotics by cytochrome P450.The metabolome analysis revealed that TLMPS significantly regulated specific metabolites in the liver,including organic acids,lipids,nucleosides,and organic oxygen compounds.KEGG enrichment analysis revealed the signifi cant involvement of different metabolites in choline metabolism,ATP-binding cassette transporters,and glycerophospholipid metabolism.Assessment of the changes in gene expression and metabolites revealed the significantly different expression of several genes encoding key enzymes and metabolites in choline metabolism pathway.The collective fi ndings confi rmed that choline metabolism plays an important role in the protective effects of TLMPS against acute alcoholic liver injury. | Jinbin Hao Liyun Ye Guoliang Meng Yanjiao Song Junsheng Fu Xiaoping Wu | 2021 | Food Science and Human Wellness2021,10,4: | 2 |

| 18 | Psychometric properties of the Caregiver Strain Questionnaire among Chinese parents of children with ADHD or ASD显示文摘Background There is an urgent need in clinical practice to measure the stress of parenting.The Caregiver Strain Questionnaire(CGSQ)was found to be useful to measure parenting stress,but it has not been validated among the Chinese population.Aims To assess the reliability and construct validity of the Chinese version of CGSQ among Chinese parents.Methods From 2016 to 2017,266 parents(patient group)with a child having DSM-5-defined attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD)(n=107)or autism spectrum disorder(ASD)(n=159)and 268 parents of healthy children(control group)were recruited to the present study in Kunming,Yunnan province.All the parents were asked to fill out the Chinese version of CGSQ.We conducted exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis(CFA)to verify construct validity of CGSQ in both patient and control groups.Cronbach’s α coefficient as an index of internal consistency was assessed for each subscale.Fourteen days later,23 subjects filled out the scale again.Intra-class correlation coefficient was calculated to evaluate the test-retest reliability.Results(1)Cronbach’s alpha of the global scale was 0.901 for the control group and 0.952 for the patient group.The test-retest reliability for the whole scale was 0.890;(2)CFA indicated that the three-factor model had better fitting indices compared with the two-factor model in both groups.Besides,the fitting indices in the patient group were more favourable than those of the control group,withχ2/df=1.564,Goodness-of Fit Index=0.841,Comparative Fit Index=0.954,and root mean square error of approximation=0.065 for the patient group at three-factor model;(3)The caregiver strain of ASD parents was statistically higher than that of ADHD parents,and caregiver strain of ADHD parents was higher than that of control group.Conclusion These findings provide initial evidence to support the construct validity and reliability of CGSQ as a parenting stress measurement tool for Chinese parents,especially for parents of children with ADHD or ASD. | Runxu Yang Huizhi Zhou Jin Liu Yufeng Wang Yan Zhang Yanjiao Wang Ruixiang Liu Xia Cao Dong Han Shuran Yang Jianzhong Yang Chuanyuan Kang | 2021 | General Psychiatry2021,34,2: | 2 |
| 19 | Facile fabrication of amphoteric semi-interpenetrating network membranes for vanadium flow battery applications显示文摘For improvement of vanadium redox flow battery(VRB) performance, novel amphoteric semiinterpenetrating membranes(ASIPN) were prepared using poly(ether ether ketone)(PEEK) and polysulfone(PSf), the former bearing sulfonic groups and the latter imidazolium. These two groups form ionic crosslinks between PEEK and PSf; meanwhile, covalent cross links were built between PSf chains with addition of N-(3-aminopropyl)-imidazole. The amphoteric nature of the membrane allows facile proton and anion transport; the IPN structure and the presence of imidazolium cation effectively suppress vanadium ion crossover through the membrane. Therefore, the ASIPN based VRBs show higher Coulombic efficiency and energy efficiency than that assembled with pristine SPEEK and Nafion 212 membranes.
