1An electrochemical impedance spectroscopic study of the electronic and ionic transport properties of LiCoO_2 cathode显示文摘The storage behavior and process of the first delithiation-lithiation of LiCoO2 cathode were investigated by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS). The electronic and ionic transport properties of LiCoO2 cathode along with variation of electrode potential were obtained in 1 mol·L?1 LiPF6-EC:DMC:DEC electrolyte solution. It was found that after 9 h storage of the LiCoO2 cathode in electrolyte solu-tions,a new arc appears in the medium frequency range in Nyquist plots of EIS,which increases with increasing the storage time. In the charge/discharge processes,the diameter of the new arc is reversi-bly changed with electrode potential. Such variation coincides well with the electrode potential de-pendence of electronic conductivity of the LiCoO2. Thus this new EIS feature is attributed to the change of electronic conductivity of LixCoO2 during storage of the LiCoO2 cathode in electrolyte solutions,as well as in processes of intercalation-deintercalationtion of lithium ions. 3Reprogramming of phytopathogen transcriptome by a non-bactericidal pesticide residue alleviates its virulence in rice显示文摘Bacteria equipped with virulence systems based on highly bioactive small molecules can circumvent their host's defense mechanisms.Pathogens employing this strategy are currently threatening global rice production.In the present study,variations in the virulence of the highly destructive Barkholderiaplantarii were observed in different rice-producing regions.The environment-linked variation was not attributable to any known host-related or external factors.Co-occurrence analyses indicated a connection between reduced virulence and 5-Amino-l,3,4-thiadiazole-2-thiol(ATT),a non-bactericidal organic compound.ATT,which accumulates in rice plants during metabolization of specific agrochemicals,was found to reduce virulence factor secretion by B.plantarii up to 88.8%and inhibit pathogen virulence by hijacking an upstream signaling cascade.Detailed assessment of the newly discovered virulence inhibitor resulted in mechanistic insights into positive effects of ATT accumulation in plant tissues.Mechanisms of virulence alleviation were deciphered by integrating high-throughput data,gene knockout mutants,and molecular interaction assays.TroK,a histidine protein kinase in a two-component system that regulates virulence factor secretion,is likely the molecular target antagonized by ATT.Our findings provide novel insights into virulence modulation in an important plant-pathogen system that relies on the host's metabolic activity and subsequent signaling interference.Haruna Matsumoto Yuan Qian Xiaoyan Fan Sunlu Chen Yanxia Nie Kun Qiao Dandan Xiang Xinzhong Zhang Meng Li Bo Guo Peilin Shen Qiangwei Wang Yunlong Yu Tomislav Cemava Mengcen Wang 2022Fundamental Research2022,2,2:2
4Two-episode Tectono-thermal Events of the Heyuan Fault in Late Cretaceous and Oligocene and their Tectonic Implications, Southernmost South China Block显示文摘The Heyuan Fault, is one of the main NE-trending faults in the southernmost South China Block and is close to the northernmost South China Sea to the south. The fault features multi-stage deformation and controlled the formation of late Cretaceous to Cenozoic basins. Based on detailed field investigations and comprehensive geochronological research, including zircon U-Pb, Rb-Sr isochron, zircon U-Th-He dating, two episodic tectono-thermal events are recognized. The first occurred during ~79 Ma to 66 Ma, which is characterized by large-scale quartz-fluid emplacement. The other occurred at ~34 Ma, which features the eruption of a set of basalts. 9Aryl hydrocarbon receptor activation drives polymorphonuclear myeloid-derived suppressor cell response and efficiently attenuates experimental Sjögren’s syndrome显示文摘Myeloid-derived suppressor cells(MDSCs)comprise heterogeneous myeloid cell populations with immunosuppressive capacity that contribute to immune regulation and tolerance induction.We previously reported impaired MDSC function in patients with primary Sjögren’s syndrome(pSS)and mice with experimental SS(ESS).However,the molecular mechanisms underlying MDSC dysfunction remain largely unclear.In this study,we first found that aryl hydrocarbon receptor(AhR)was highly expressed by human and murine polymorphonuclear MDSCs(PMN-MDSCs).Indole-3-propionic acid(IPA),a natural AhR ligand produced from dietary tryptophan,significantly promoted PMN-MDSC differentiation and suppressive function on CD4^(+)T cells.In contrast,feeding a tryptophan-free diet resulted in a decreased PMN-MDSC response,a phenotype that could be reversed by IPA supplementation.The functional importance of PMN-MDSCs was demonstrated in ESS mice by using a cell-depletion approach.Notably,AhR expression was reduced in PMN-MDSCs during ESS development,while AhR antagonism resulted in exacerbated ESS pathology and dysregulated T effector cells,which could be phenocopied by a tryptophan-free diet.Interferon regulatory factor 4(IRF4),a repressive transcription factor,was upregulated in PMN-MDSCs during ESS progression.Chromatin immunoprecipitation analysis revealed that IRF4 could bind to the promoter region of AhR,while IRF4 deficiency markedly enhanced AhR-mediated PMN-MDSC responses.Furthermore,dietary supplementation with IPA markedly ameliorated salivary glandular pathology in ESS mice with restored MDSC immunosuppressive function.Together,our results identify a novel function of AhR in modulating the PMN-MDSC response and demonstrate the therapeutic potential of targeting AhR for the treatment of pSS.Yanxia Wei Na Peng Chong Deng Futao Zhao Jie Tian Yuan Tang Sulan Yu Yacun Chen Yu Xue Fan Xiao Yingbo Zhou Xiaomei Li Hejian Zou Ke Rui Xiang Lin Liwei Lu 2022Cellular & Molecular Immunology2022,19,12:1
10CCGD-ESCC: A Comprehensive Database for Genetic Variants Associated with Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma in Chinese Population显示文摘Esophageal squamous-cell carcinoma(ESCC) is one of the most lethal malignancies in the world and occurs at particularly higher frequency in China. While several genome-wide association studies(GWAS) of germline variants and whole-genome or whole-exome sequencing studies of somatic mutations in ESCC have been published, there is no comprehensive database publically available for this cancer. Here, we developed the Chinese Cancer Genomic Database-Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma(CCGD-ESCC) database, which contains the associations of 69,593 single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) with ESCC risk in 2022 cases and 2039 controls, survival time of 1006 ESCC patients(survival GWAS) and gene expression(expression quantitative trait loci,eQTL) in 94 ESCC patients. Moreover, this database also provides the associations between8833 somatic mutations and survival time in 675 ESCC patients. Our user-friendly database is a resource useful for biologists and oncologists not only in identifying the associations of genetic variants or somatic mutations with the development and progression of ESCC but also in studying the underlying mechanisms for tumorigenesis of the cancer. 11Single-nucleus transcriptomics reveals a gatekeeper role for FoxP1 in primate cardiac aging显示文摘Aging poses a major risk factor for cardiovascular diseases,the leading cause of death in the aged population.However,the cell type-specific changes underlying cardiac aging are far from being clear.Here,we performed single-nucleus RNA-sequencing analysis of left ventricles from young and aged cynomolgus monkeys to define cell composition changes and transcriptomic alterations across different cell types associated with age.We found that aged cardiomyocytes underwent a dramatic loss in cell numbers and profound fluctuations in transcriptional profles.Via transcription regulatory network analysis,we identified FOxP1,a core transcription factor in organ development,as a key downregulated factor in aged cardiomyocytes,concomitant with the dysregulation of FoxP1 target genes associated with heart function and cardiac diseases.Consistently,the deficiency of FOxP1 led to hypertrophic and senescent phenotypes in human embryonic stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes.Altogether,our findings depict the celiular and molecular landscape of ventricular aging at the single-cell resolution,and identify drivers for primate cardiac aging and potential targets for intervention against cardiac aging and associated diseases.Yiyuan Zhang Yandong Zheng Si Wang Yanling Fan Yanxia Ye Yaobin Jing Zunpeng Liu Shanshan Yang Muzhao Xiong Kuan Yang Jinghao Hu Shanshan Che Qun Chu Moshi Song Guang-Hui Liu Weiqi Zhang Shuai Ma Jing Qu 2023Protein & Cell2023,14,4:0
12Substrate,Hormone,Winnowing,and Stratification Influence the Seed Germination of Ilex asprella(Hook.et Arn.)Champ.ex Benth显示文摘Ilex asprella(Hook.et Arn.)Champ.ex Benth is one of the most important traditional Chinese medicines in southern China.The seeds of Ilex asprella usually have extremely low germination due to their dormancy characteristics,which severely impacts the efficiency of seedling raising and increases labor costs.In this study,to improve the seed germination of I.asprella,the effects of germination substrate,hormone,winnowing,and stratification treatments on the seed germination of I.asprella were investigated.The results of the germination matrix showed that the highest germination percentage of 45.2%was achieved under the 20℃/10℃day/night temperature and vermiculite germination medium conditions.The results of hormone treatments revealed that 100–400 mg/L of gibberellin(GA)and 50–100 mg/L of salicylic acid(SA)were found to be effective in releasing the dormancy of I.asprella seeds.Moreover,winnowing could effectively eliminate unsaturated seeds and impurities,thus improving the seed germination of I.asprella.Furthermore,warm temperature(15℃)stratification could expand the temperature range of I.asprella’s seed germination,which was beneficial for seed germination of I.asprella and for seed nursery at room temperature in production practice.The present study obtained a method to break dormancy and increase seed germination in I.asprella,thereby forming a groundwork for improving the efficiency of large-scale planting of I.asprella.Yuquan Huang Fan Wei QingMa Yang Lin Jinpeng Huang Yanxia Zhu Danfeng Tang 2023Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2023,92,7:0

14Boosted photocatalytic efficiency of GQDs sensitized(BiO)_(2)CO_(3)/β-Bi_(2)O_(3)heterojunction via enhanced interfacial charge transfer显示文摘The NO gas is easily oxidized to form toxic by-products(NO_(2))during the oxidation process,which are adsorbed on the catalyst surface and inhibit the subsequent reaction.For photocatalytic NO removal,a significant challenge is to achieve catalytic stability while maintaining high conversion efficiency.Here,we fabricated a(BiO)_(2)CO_(3)/β-Bi_(2)O_(3)heterostructure that enables efficient charge transfer and promotes the NO removal.We propose that the catalytic stability depends on the heterojunction structure,which is able to generate interfacial charge transfer channels.In addition,we further introduce graphene quantum dots on the heterojunction structure,which further strengthens the interfacial charge transfer dynamics and finally realizes that the NO_(2)byproduct could gain electrons and convert to the final product(nitrite or nitrate).This composite structure not only exhibits high activity for NO removal but also maintains long-term stability under visible light.Yanxia Wang Jianping Sheng Xiaoli Zhao Ye He Fan Dong Yanjuan Sun 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,6:0
15Inhibition of H_(2)O_(2)-induced TM3 cell apoptosis by oxidative stress by lentinan functionalized selenium nanoparticles through JAK2/STAT-3 and P53 pathways显示文摘Background:Nano-selenium has been widely used in antiviral and anticancer therapy,and has the advantages of good targeting and low toxicity.For the first time,we combined male reproduction with nano-selenium to investigate its antioxidant effect.This study investigated the protective effect of lentinan functionalized selenium nanoparticles on oxidative stress injury of the hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))-induced Leydig cell line,TM3.Methods:The suitable concentration of nano-selenium treatment to promote cell proliferation was also discussed.The concentration of 4μM could significantly promote the growth of TM3 cells.Oxidative stress damage was caused using an 800μM concentration of hydrogen peroxide.The cells were divided into four groups:normal control group,oxidative stress treatment group,H_(2)O_(2)+SeNPs@LNT group,and SeNPs@LNT group.The H_(2)O_(2)+SeNPs@LNT group was pretreated with 4μM of SeNPs@LNT for 12 h,followed by 800μM of H_(2)O_(2)for 8 h.Results:Nano-selenium could significantly promote the proliferation and viability of TM3 cells.SeNPs@LNT treatment increased the level of mitochondrial membrane potential in normal cells and slowed down the decline in mitochondrial membrane potential level caused by oxidative stress injury.In addition,the increase in reactive oxygen species caused by oxidative stress was inhibited by SeNPs@LNT treatment.The apoptosis of TM3 cells was detected,and SeNPs@LNT alleviated the necrosis and apoptosis of TM3 cells induced by H_(2)O_(2).Nano-selenium plays a protective role against oxidative H_(2)O_(2)-induced stress injury in TM3 cells through the changes in the Janus kinase 2/signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 signaling pathway and P53 pathway,and the expression levels of other related proteins,protein kinase B(AKT)and C3.Conclusion:SeNPs@LNT exhibited good biological activity and antioxidant effect and can thus be used to protect the male reproductive system from oxidative stress.MIAOMIAO LI ZILIN ZHENG JUNYI KE JIEYI LUO FAN JIANG YANXIA QU BING ZHU YINGHUA LI LIANDONG ZUO 2023BIOCELL2023,47,6:0
16Inhibition of H_(2)O_(2)-induced apoptosis of GC2-spg cells by functionalized selenium nanoparticles with lentinan through ROSmediated ERK/p53 signaling pathways显示文摘AH_(2)O_(2)-induced oxidative stress injury cell model was established to investigate the antioxidant effect of nanoselenium on mouse spermatocyte lines and the regulation mechanism of the expression level and activity of seleniumcontaining antioxidant enzymes induced by oxidative stress.A safe and effective nano-drug system of functionalized selenium-containing nanoparticles(SeNPs)was developed with lentinan(LNT)(SeNPs@LNT).Mice spermatocyte line GC2-spg cells were treated with SeNPs@LNT(1,2,4,8,16,32μM)for 24-72 h to evaluate the cytotoxicity of selenium.GC2-spg cells were randomly divided into the following groups:control,hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2)),SeNPs@LNT,and H_(2)O_(2)+SeNPs@LNT groups.H_(2)O_(2)+SeNPs@LNT group was pretreated with SeNPs@LNT 4μM for 12 h,followed by H_(2)O_(2)600μM for 8 h.The cell viability decreased in the H_(2)O_(2) group and increased significantly in the SeNPs@LNT group.Compared with the H_(2)O_(2) group,the SeNPs@LNT+H_(2)O_(2) group exhibited obvious red fluorescence,indicating a higher level of mitochondrial membrane potential.The content of intracellular reactive oxygen species(ROS)in the SeNPs@LNT group reduced significantly,and the intensity of green fluorescence in the SeNPs@LNT+H_(2)O_(2) group decreased significantly compared with the H_(2)O_(2) group,indicating the inhibitory effect of SeNPs@LNT on the generation of ROS-induced oxidative stress.The activity of GPx and SOD increased significantly in the SeNPs@LNT group.The expression of p53 decreased significantly under the intervention of nano-selenium,and GPx1 expression increased.In the oxidative stress group,the expressions of DNA damage-related proteins and apoptosis-related proteins were higher than those in other groups.Thus,SeNPs@LNT can promote GC2-spg cell proliferation,improve GPx and SOD activities,remove intracellular ROS,and reduce mitochondrial damage and functional abnormalities caused by oxidative stress by regulating the ERK and p53 protein levels.SeNPs@LNT has good biological activity and antioxidant effect,which can be used to protect the male reproductive system from oxidative stress.MIAOMIAO LI DANYANG CHEN JUNYI KE RUILIN ZHENG JINGYAO SU ZILIN ZHENG JIEYI LUO HANRAN MAI FAN JIANG YANXIA QU XIAOQIONG GU BING ZHU YINGHUA LI LIANDONG ZUO 2023BIOCELL2023,47,2:0
17High-gain amplification for femtosecond optical vortex with mode-control regenerative cavity显示文摘Ultra-intense femtosecond vortex pulses can provide an opportunity to investigate the new phenomena with orbital angular momentum(OAM)involved in extreme cases.This paper reports a high gain optical vortex amplifier for intense femtosecond vortex pulses generation.Traditional regeneration amplifiers can offer high gain for Gaussian mode pulses but cannot amplify optical vortex pulses while maintaining the phase singularity because of mode competition.Here,we present a regeneration amplifier with a ring-shaped pump.By controlling the radius of the pump,the system can realize the motivation of the Laguerre–Gaussian[LG0,1(−1)]mode and the suppression of the Gaussian mode.Without seeds,the amplifier has a donut-shaped output containing two opposite OAM states simultaneously,as our prediction by simulation.If seeded by a pulse of a topologic charge of 1 or−1,the system will output an amplified LG0,1(−1)mode pulse with the same topologic charge as the seed.To our knowledge,this amplifier can offer the highest gain as 1.45×106 for optical vortex amplification.Finally,we obtain a 1.8 mJ,51 fs compressed optical vortex seeded from a 2 nJ optical vortex.SHUIQIN ZHENG ZHENKUAN CHEN QINGGANG LIN YI CAI XIAOWEI LU YANXIA GAO SHIXIANG XU DIANYUAN FAN 2020Photonics Research2020,8,8:0

19Promoting ion adsorption and desolvation kinetics enables high capacity and rate capability of stibium anode for advanced alkaline battery显示文摘Stibium(Sb)metal with high theoretic capacity,suitable negative working window and inexpensive nature are promising anode material for advanced aqueous alkaline batteries(AABs).However,the further development of Sb anode is severely hindered by the low capacity and poor rate capability which is originated from deficient adsorption of[Sb(OH)_(4)]^(-)and its sluggish desolvation kinetics.Herein,a nitrogen doped carbon cages(NCCs)substrate is constructed as high capacity and rate capability anode by promoting the adsorption and following desolvation process of[Sb(OH)_(4)]^(-)via the enhanced attraction toward(OH)-in the solvated[Sb(OH)_(4)]^(-).Consequently,the designed Sb/NCCs anode delivers a high capacity of 627 m Ah g^(-1)with an average 95%Sb utilization,an outstanding coulombic efficiency(CE)of 95%and an impressive lifespan(>110 h).Meanwhile,the Ni_(3)Se_(2)//Sb/NCCs batteries show great capacity retention of 86.7%after 2000 cycles with an areal capacity of 0.52 m Ah cm^(-2).Implementation of the designed anode allows for the construction of Sb-based AABs with enhanced rate capability,energy density and cycling performance.Peng Zhang Jinhao Xie Fan Yang Xin Shi Yanxia Yu Xihong Lu 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,36:0
20Identification,structure elucidation and origin of a common pyridinium-thiocyanate intermediate in electrospray mass spectrometry among the benziamidazole-class proton pump inhibitors显示文摘During the analysis of benziamidazole-class irreversible proton pump inhibitors,an unusual mass spectral response with the mass-to-charge ratio at[Mt10]t intrigued us,as it couldn't be assigned to any literature known relevant structure,intermediate or adduct ion.Moreover,this mysterious mass pattern of[Mt10]t has been gradually observed by series of marketed proton pump inhibitors,viz.omeprazole,pantoprazole,lansoprazole and rabeprazole.All the previous attempts to isolate the corresponding component were unsuccessful.The investigation of present work addresses this kind of signal to a pyridinium thiocyanate mass spectral intermediate(10),which is the common fragment ion of series of labile aggregates.The origin of such aggregates can be traced to the reactive intermediates formed by acid-promoted degradation.These reactive intermediates tend to react with each other and give raise series of complicated aggregates systematically in a water/acetonitrile solution by electrospray ionization.The structure of the corresponding pyridinium thiocyanate species of omeprazole(10a)has been eventually characterized with the help of synthetic specimen(10a′).Our structural proposal as well as its origin was supported by in situ nuclear magnetic resonance,chemical derivatization and colorimetric experiments.Dong Sun Chunyu Wang Yanxia Fan Jingkai Gu 2023Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2023,13,6:0
