1Effect of slurry conditioning on flocculant-aided filtration of coal tailings studied by low-field nuclear magnetic resonance and X-ray micro-tomography显示文摘The present work aimed to study the effect of slurry conditioning on flocculant-aided filtration of coal tailings by the analysis of filtration kinetics and filter cake structure.Laboratory filtration tests of the coal tailings showed that both the shear rate and agitation time have significant effects on filtration rate and cake moisture.Moderate agitation at the shear rate of 92 s^-1 was favorable for fast filtration,but high cake moisture was encountered.The low-field 1H nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)measurements of the filter cake showed that the slurry conditioning has a significant effect on the residual water in large pores and a negligible effect on the residual water in small pores.The X-ray micro-tomography(XRM)measurements indicated that the filter cake formed at the shear rate of 92 s^-1 has more macro-pores and higher porosity than that formed at the shear rate of 53 s1,hence more residual water was entrapped in filter cake.The slurry conditioning in the presence of flocculant will change the structure of filter cake and affect the filtration performance.There was a paradox between fast filtration rate and low filter cake moisture.The findings enable better understanding of the effect of slurry conditioning on flocculant-aided filtration of coal tailings.Pengfei Hu Long Liang Guangyuan Xie Shaoqi Zhou Yaoli Peng 2020International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2020,30,6:12
2Effects of vitamin E succinate on the expression of Fas and PCNA proteins in human gastric carcinoma cells and its clinical significance显示文摘AIM: To investigate the effects of vitamin E succinate (VES) on the expression of Fas and PCNA proteins as well as its clinical significance in human gastric carcinoma, and to explore the mechanism of VES-induced inhibition of gastric carcinoma cell growth. METHODS: Immunohistochemical methods were used to detect Fas and PCNA expression both in human gastric cancer SGC-7901 cells treated with VES at different doses and in human gastric carcinoma tissues. RESULTS: After the SGC-7901 cells were treated with VES at 5, 10, 20 mg/L for 48 h, the positive rates of Fas expression were 16%, 27% and 48%, respectively, significantly increased compared to that of control group (P<0.05); while the positive rates of PCNA expression in groups treated with different doses of VES were 20%, 18% and 7%, respectively, which were significantly decreased compared to that of the control group (P<0.05). In human gastric carcinoma tissues, the Fas positive expression rate was 42.4%(25/59), which declined with the decrease in the degree of tumor differentiation (P<0.05) and with the existence of lymph node metastasis (P<0.001). While the PCNA positive expression rate was 91.5%(54/59), no relationship was observed between PCNA expression and clinicopathologic parameters. CONCLUSION: VES inhibited the growth of gastric cancer cells by indudng Fas expression and inhibiting PCNA expression. It is, therefore, considered that the expression of Fas and PCNA genes, through tumor cell apoptosis and proliferation, respectively, may be useful as a clinical predictive index in the application of VES to gastric carcinoma therapy, where as Pas may be of more value than PCNA.KunWu LanZhao YaoLi Yu-JuanShan Li-JieWu 2004World Journal of Gastroenterology2004,10,7:8
3Comparative filtration and dewatering behavior of vitrinite and inertinite of bituminous coal:Experiment and simulation study显示文摘The filtration and dewatering of fine clean coal not only ensure industrial water recycle in coal washing plant,but also reduce the moisture of coal product in order to meet the requirements of combustion or coking industry.Fine clean coal is mainly composed by organic matter,and the property difference of different organic matter determines the filtration and dewatering behavior.In this investigation,vitrinite and inertinite were separated from a clean bituminous coal,and the comparative filtration and dewatering behavior of vitrinite and inertinite were conducted.The results showed that inertinite has lower dewatering rate and higher filter cake moisture than vitrinite.The analysis of filter cake structure showed that inertinite particle is easier to be broken into small particles due to the difference of mechanical properties,thus forming more compact filter cake than vitrinite.The analysis of particle surface properties showed that vitrinite is more hydrophobic than inertinite,which makes water easier drained from filter cake.The simulation study showed that the structure of inertinite is more porous than that of vitrinite,and the interaction between inertinite and water is stronger than that between vitrinite and water.This study provides a theoretical basis for improving coal dewatering by selectively improving coal maceral hydrophobicity.An Ping Wencheng Xia Yaoli Peng Guangyuan Xie 2021International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2021,31,2:7
4Gene expression profiles in an hepatitis B virus transfected hepatoblastoma cell line and differentially regulated gene expression by interferon-α显示文摘AIM: To study interactions between hepatitis B virus (HBV) and interferon-a in liver- derived cells. METHODS. mRNAs were separately isolated from an HBV-transfected cell line (HepG2 2.2.15) and its parental cell line (HePG2) pre- and post-interferon-a (IFN-a) treatment at 6, 24 and 48 h, followed by hybridization with a cDNA microarray filter dotted with 14 000 human genes. After hybridization and scanning of the arrays, the data were analyzed using ArrayGauge software. The microarray data were further verified by Northern blot analysis. RESULTS: Compared to HepG2 cells, 14 genes with known functions were down-regulated 3 to 12- magnitudes, while 7 genes were up-regulated 3-13 magnitudes in HepG2 2.2.15 cells prior to IFN-a treatment. After interferon-a treatment, the expression of four genes (vascular endothelial growth factor, tyrosine phosphate 1E, serine protein with IGF-binding motif and one gene of clathrin light chain) in HepG2 2.2.15 were up-regulated, while one gene encoding a GTP-binding protein, two genes of interferon-induced kinases and two proto-oncogenes were further down- regulated. Interestingly, under IFN-a treatment, a number of differentially regulated genes were new ESTs or genes with unknown functions. CONCLUSION: The up-regulated genes in HepG2 2.2.15 cell line suggested that under IFN-a treatment, these repressed cellular genes in HBV infected hepatooltes could be partially restored, while the down- regulated genes were most likely the cellular genes which could not be restored under interferon treatment. 6The interaction and migration of deformation twin in an eutectic high-entropy alloy AlCoCrFeNi2.1显示文摘An eutectic high-entropy alloy consisting Al, Co, Cr, Fe and Ni elements was prepared by vacuum directional solidification technology. The alloy exhibits excellent comprehensive mechanical performance during tension at temperature range of 600–700℃. The microstructure reveals the intersection of twintwin is the prevailing deformation mechanism and the twins play a dual role in strengthening and toughening the alloy in the thermomechanical process. The deformation twin variants I and were formed by the edge dislocation 112 and the mixed dislocation 211 on the {111} crystal planes, respectively. Besides, the dislocation jogs and kinks caused by twin intersection on the slip planes can strengthen the alloy, which may contribute to the high strength(the tensile strengths at the 600°and 700°tensile tests are respectively780 MPa and 630 MPa.). 8Identification of Chinese Materia Medicas in Microscopic Powder Images显示文摘This paper describes an identification system for Chinese Materia Medicas (CMMs) in microscopic powder images.The imaging processing of the microscopic powder image is very complex because of the low contrast,blurry boundaries,overlapping objects,and messy background.Therefore,the object detection must segment the significant microscopic structures from the complex image.The objects are detected in these images using an adaptable interactive method.After identifying the significant microscopic structures,the system identifies 14 features belonging to three main characteristics.These features form a 14-dimensional vector that represents the microscopic structures.The multi-dimensional vector is then analyzed using a feature assignment algorithm that picks the most notable features to construct a decision tree with thresholds.The identification system consists of a coarse classifier based on the decision tree and a fine classifier using similarity measurements to rank the possible results.Tests on 528 images from 24 different kinds of microscopic structures show the system effectiveness and applicability.Shen Yan Yaoli Li Yixu Song Li Lin Peifa Jia Shaoqing Cai 2012Tsinghua Science and Technology2012,17,2:2

10Effect of bubbles addition on teetered bed separation显示文摘To improve the separation efficiency of a conventional Teetered Bed Separator(TBS) in beneficiation of fine coal with a wide size range,an Aeration TBS(A-TBS) was proposed in this investigation.The bubbles were introduced to A-TBS by a self-priming micro-bubble generator.This study theoretically analyzed the effect of bubbles on the difference in hindered settling terminal velocity between different density particles,investigated the impact of superficial water velocity(V_(SW)) and superficial gas velocity(V_(Sg)) on bed fluidization,and compared the performance of the TBS and A-TBS in treating 1-0.25 mm size fraction particles.The results show that the expansion degree of fluidized bed which was formed by different size particles or has different initial height,is increased by the introduction of bubbles.Compared with the TBS,at the same level of clean coal ash content,the A-TBS shows an increase in the combustible recovery of clean coal,ash content of tailings,and practical separation density by 5.26%,6.56%,and 0.088 g/cm3 respectively,while it shows a decrease in the probable error(E_p) and V_(SW) by 0.031 and 3.51 mm/s,respectively.The addition of bubbles at a proper amount not only improves the separation performance of TBS,but also reduces the upward water velocity.Ni Chao Xie Guangyuan Liu Bo Bu Xiangning Peng Yaoli Sha Jie 2015International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2015,25,5:2
