| 5 | Comparison and application of different empirical correlations for estimating the hydrate safety margin of oil-based drilling fluids containing ethylene glycol显示文摘As the oil and gas industries continue to increase their activity in deep water, gas hydrate hazards will become more serious and challenging, both at present and in the future. Accurate predictions of the hydrate-free zone and the suitable addition of salts and/or alcohols in preparing drilling fluids are particularly important both in preventing hydrate problems and decreasing the cost of drilling operations. In this paper, we compared several empirical correlations commonly used to estimate the hydrate inhibition effect of aqueous organic and electrolyte solutions using experiments with ethylene glycol (EG) as a hydrate inhibitor. The results show that the Najibi et al. correlation (for single and mixed thermodynamic inhibitors) and the Ostergaard et al. empirical correlation (for single thermodynamic inhibitors) are suitable for estimating the hydrate safety margin of oil-based drilling fluids (OBDFs) in the presence of thermodynamic hydrate inhibitors. According to the two correlations, the OBDF, composed of 1.6 L vaporizing oil, 2% emulsifying agent, 1% organobentonite, 0.5% SP-1, 1% LP-1, 10% water and 40% EG, can be safely used at a water depth of up to 1900 m. | 8 | The effect of subbranch for the quantification of local hemodynamic environment in the coronary artery:a computed tomography angiography–based computational fluid dynamic analysis显示文摘Background:Hemodynamic parameters derived from computed tomography angiography–based computational fluid dynamics(CFD)analysis have been widely used for clinical decision-making and researches to assess the vulnerability of atherosclerotic plaques and explain the initialization and development of atherosclerosis.Subbranches in the CFD model might affect the accuracy of hemodynamic parameters,but the effectiveness has been least quantified.Methods:A coronary artery baseline model was generated with focal stenosis at the proximal left anterior descending artery.Nineteen comparing models were created by systematically removing various subbranches to examine the changes in hemodynamic parameters,including time-averaged pressure(TAP),time-averaged wall shear stress(TAWSS),oscillatory shear index(OSI),and particle relative residence time(RRT).Changes in these parameters were assessed quantitatively around the stenosis and near the region where subbranches were removed.Results:The removal of subbranches caused a significant change in outflow rate,and there was generally a decrease in all CFD parameters in the regions of interest with a decrease in outflow rate.The subbranch removal had a significant impact on the calculation of TAWSS,OSI,and RRT,whereas TAP was insensitive to the removal with approximately 0.25%variation in all 19 models.The local effect from removing branch segments generally became negligible after 5 diameters away from the cutting-off position,but the decrease could be affected by other factors,such as a large curvature.Conclusion:The outflow rate is a dominant factor for the calculation of TAP,TAWSS,OSI,and RRT.Removal of subbranches has a minor effect on the TAP calculation,but its effect is considerable on the TAWSS,OSI,and RRT.The effect of subbranch removal is limited in a region with 5 local diameters. | Yibing Shi Jin Zheng Ning Yang Yang Chen Jingxi Sun Ying Zhang Xuanxuan Zhou Yongguang Gao Suqing Li Haijing Zhu Julio Acosta-Cabronero Ping Xia Zhongzhao Teng | 2022 | Emergency and Critical Care Medicine2022,2,4: | 0 |
| 9 | Weight Analysis of Impact Factors of Interbedded Anti-Inclined Slopes Block-Flexure Toppling Based on Support Vector Regression显示文摘Block-flexure toppling failure is frequently encountered in interbedded anti-inclined rock(IAR)slopes,and seriously threatens the construction of hydropower infrastructure.In this study,we first investigated the Lean Reservoir area’s geological setting and the Linda landslide’s characteristics.Then,uniform design and random design were used to design 110 training datasets and 31 testing datasets,respectively.Afterwards,the toppling response was obtained by using the discrete element code.Finally,support vector regression was used to obtain the influence weights of 21 impact factors.The results show that the influence weight of the slope angle and rock formation dip angle on the toppling deformation among tertiary impact factors is 25.96%and 17.28%,respectively,which are much greater than the other 19 impact factors within the research range.For the primary impact factors,the influence weight is sorted from large to small as slope geometry parameters,joints parameters,and rock mechanics parameters.Joints parameters,especially the geometric parameters,cannot be ignored when evaluating the stability of IAR slopes.Through numerical simulation,it was qualitatively determined that failure surfaces of slopes were controlled by cross joints and that the rocks in the slope toe play a role in preventing slope deformation. | Bocheng Zhang Huiming Tang Yibing Ning Kun Fang Ding Xia | 2024 | Journal of Earth Science2024,35,2: | 0 |
