| 2 | Genes in the serotonin pathway are associated with bipolar affective disorder in a Han Chinese population显示文摘Serotonin plays an important role in mood regulation, but the involvement of serotonin pathway genes in the development of bipolar I disorder (BP-I), a mood disorder, is not clear. We selected 21 singlenucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) within the HTR2A gene, 8 within the SLC6A4 gene and 23 within the TPH2 gene for genotyping using the GoldenGate genotyping assay. A total of 375 patients with BP-I and 475 normal controls were recruited. Two out of 21 SNPs (rs1475196 and rs9567747) in the HTR2A gene and 1/23 SNPs (rs17110566) in the TPH2 gene were significantly associated with BP-I, both genotype-wise and allele-wise. Furthermore, a specific haplotype in the HTR2A gene showed a significant association with BP-I. | 4 | Lnc-RP5 Regulates the mi R-129-5p/Notch1/PFV Internal Promoter Axis to Promote the Expression of the Prototype Foamy Virus Transactivator Tas显示文摘Prototype foamy virus(PFV)is a unique retrovirus that infects animals and humans and does not cause clinical symptoms.Long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)are believed to exert multiple regulatory functions during viral infections.Previously,we utilized RNA sequencing(RNA-seq)to characterize and identify the lncRNA lnc-RP5-1086 D14.3.1-1:1(lnc-RP5),which is markedly decreased in PFV-infected cells.However,little is known about the function of lnc-RP5 during PFV infection.In this study,we identified lnc-RP5 as a regulator of the PFV transcriptional transactivator(Tas).Lnc-RP5 enhanced the activity of the PFV internal promoter(IP).The expression of PFV Tas was found to be promoted by lnc-RP5.Moreover,mi R-129-5 p was found to be involved in the lnc-RP5-mediated promotion of PFV IP activity,while the Notch1 protein suppressed the activity of PFV IP and the expression of Tas.Our results demonstrate that lnc-RP5 promotes the expression of PFV Tas through the miR-129-5 p/Notch1/PFV IP axis.This work provides evidence that host lnc RNAs can manipulate PFV replication by employing mi RNAs and proteins during an early viral infection. | Shanshan Xu Liujun Chen Yinglian Tang Peipei Yuan Jun Yan Yingcheng Zheng Li Huang Zhi Li Yan Sun Song Han Jun Yin Qin Pan Biwen Peng Xiaohua He Wanhong Liu | 2020 | Virologica Sinica2020,35,1: | 1 |
| 5 | An alternative approach to determine critical angle of contrast reversal and surface roughness of oil slicks under sunglint显示文摘The critical angle is the angle at which the contrast of oil slicks reverse their contrasts against the surrounding oil-free seawater under sunglint.Accurate determination of the critical angle can help estimate surface roughness and refractive index of the oil slicks.Although it’s difficult to determine a certain critical angle,the potential critical angle range help to improve the estimation accuracy.In this study,the angle between the viewing direction and the direction of mirror reflection is used as an indicator for quantifying the critical angle and could be calculated from the solar/viewing geometry from observations of the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS).The natural seep oil slicks in the Gulf of Mexico were first delineated using a customized segmentation approach to remove noise and apply a morphological filter.On the basis of the histograms of the brightness values of the delineated oil slicks,the potential range of the critical angle was determined,and then an optimal critical angle between oil slicks and seawater was then determined from statistical and regression analyses in this range.This critical angle corresponds to the best fitting between the modeled and observed surface roughness of seep oil slicks and seawater. | Yansha Wen Mengqiu Wang Yingcheng Lu Shaojie Sunc Minwei Zhang Zhihua Mao Jing Shi Yongxue Liu | 2018 | International Journal of Digital Earth2018,11,9: | 1 |

| 12 | A Bifunctional Brønsted Acidic Deep Eutectic Solvent to Dissolve and Catalyze the Depolymerization of Alkali Lignin显示文摘Lignin is an abundant renewable macromolecular material in nature,and degradation of lignin to improve its hydroxyl content is the key to its efficient use.Alkali lignin(AL)was treated with Brønsted acidic deep eutectic solvent(DES)based on choline chloride and p-toluenesulfonic acid at mild reaction temperature,the structure of the lignin before and after degradation,as well as the composition of small molecules of lignin were analyzed in order to investigate the chemical structure changes of lignin with DES treatment,and the degradation mechanism of lignin in this acidic DES was elucidated in this work.FTIR and NMR analyses demonstrated the selective cleavage of the lignin ether linkages in the degradation process,which was in line with the increased content of phenolic hydroxyl species.XPS revealed that the O/C atomic ratio of the regenerated lignin was lower than that of the AL sample,revealing that the lignin underwent decarbonylation during the DES treatment.Regenerated lignin with low molecular weight and narrow polydispersity index was obtained,and the average molecular weight(Mw)decreased from 17680 g/mol to 2792 g/mol(130°C,3 h)according to GPC analysis.The lignin-degraded products were mainly G-type phenolics and ketones,and small number of aldehydes were also generated,the possible degradation pathway of lignin in this acidic DES was proposed. | Lifen Li Zhigang Wu Xuedong Xi Baoyu Liu Yan Cao Hailong Xu Yingcheng Hu | 2021 | Journal of Renewable Materials2021,9,2: | 1 |
