1Efficient signcryption between TPKC and IDPKC and its multi-receiver construction显示文摘The primitive signcryption provides authenticity and privacy simultaneously. In this paper, we present efficient signcryption schemes between the traditional public key cryptosystem (TPKC) and the identity based cryptosystem (IDPKC). In contrast, all the existing signcryption schemes available in the literature, to our knowledge, are limited to within one type of cryptosystem. We also discuss them in the multi-receiver setting. 2Origin and phylogenetic analysis of Tibetan Mastiff based on the mitochondrial DNA sequence显示文摘At present,the Tibetan Mastiff is the oldest and most ferocious dog in the world. However,the origin of the Tibetan Mastiff and its phylogenetic relationship with other large breed dogs such as Saint Bernard are unclear. In this study,the primers were designed accord-ing to the mitochondrial genome sequence of the domestic dog,and the 2,525 bp mitochondrial sequence,containing the whole sequence of Cytochrome b,tRNA-Thr,tRNA-Pro,and control region of the Tibetan Mastiff,was obtained. Using grey wolves and coyotes as out-groups,the Tibetan Mastiff and 12 breeds of domestic dogs were analyzed in phylogenesis. Tibetan Mastiff,domestic dog breeds,and grey wolves were clustered into a group and coyotes were clustered in a group separately. This indicated that the Tibetan Mastiff and the other domestic dogs originated from the grey wolf,and the Tibetan Mastiff belonged to Carnivora,Canidae,Canis,Canis lupus,Canis lupus familiaris on the animal taxonomy. In domestic dogs,the middle and small breed dogs were clustered at first; German Sheepdog,Swedish Elkhound,and Black Russian Terrier were clustered into one group,and the Tibetan Mastiff,Old English Sheepdog,Leonberger,and Saint Bernard were clustered in another group. This confirmed the viewpoint that many of the famous large breed dogs worldwide such as Saint Bernard possibly had the blood lineage of the Tibetan Mastiff,based on the molecular data. 4The formation and tectonic evolution of Philippine Sea Plate and KPR显示文摘The Philippine Sea Plate has an extremely special tectonic background. As an oceanic plate,it is almost entirely surrounded by subduction zones with complex internal tectonic features. On the basis of enormous published literature,this paper offers a comprehensive overview of the tectonic and evolution history of the Philippine Basin and the Kyushu-Palau Ridge(KPR) in the Philippine Sea Plate,and discusses the geological features of KPR. Referring to relevant definitions of various 'ridges' stipulated in United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea,so the KPR is believed to be a remnant arc formed during the opening of the Parece Vela and Shikoku Basins in the Philippine Sea Plate. It is a submarine ridge on oceanic plate rather than a submarine elevation. 5Kruppel-like factor 10 protects against acute viral myocarditis by negatively regulating cardiac MCP-1 expression显示文摘Viral myocarditis(VMC)is a cardiac disease associated with myocardial inflammation and injury induced by virus infection.Cardiomyocytes have recently been regarded as key players in eliciting and modulating inflammation within the myocardium.Kruppel-like factor 10(KLF10)is a crucial regulator of various pathological processes and plays different roles in a variety of diseases.However,its role in VMC induced by coxsackievirus B3(CVB3)infection remains unknown.In this study,we report that cardiac KLF10 confers enhanced protection against viral myocarditis.We found that KLF10 expression was downregulated upon CVB3 infection.KLF10 deficiency enhanced cardiac viral replication and aggravated VMC progress.Bone marrow chimera experiments indicated that KLF10 expression in nonhematopoietic cells was involved in the pathogenesis of VMC.We further identified MCP-1 as a novel target of KLF10 in cardiomyocytes,and KLF10 cooperated with histone deacetylase 1(HDAC1)to negatively regulate MCP-1 expression by binding its promoter,leading to activation of MCP-1 transcription and recruitment of Ly6C^(high) monocytes/macrophages into the myocardium.This novel mechanism of MCP-1 regulation by KLF10 might provide new insights into the pathogenesis of VMC and a potential therapeutic target for VMC.Jie Yang Hongkai Zhang Xuelian Wang Jing Guo Lin Wei Yahui Song Yuan Luo YinXia Zhao Malayannan Subramaniam Thomas C.Spelsberg Lie Wang Wei Xu Min Li 2021Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,9:3
6Inhibition of ROS elevation and damage to mitochondrial function prevents lead-induced neurotoxic effects on structures and functions of AFD neurons in Caenorhabditis elegans显示文摘Here we investigated the possible roles of oxidative stress in the formation of decreased thermotaxis to cultivation temperature in lead(Pb)-exposed nematodes Caenorhabditis elagans.Exposure to Pb at the examined concentrations decreased thermotaxis behaviors,and induced severe deficits in the structural properties of AFD sensory neurons.Meanwhile,Pb exposure caused the induction of severe oxidative damage,reactive oxygen species(ROS) production,and mitochondrial dysfunction in young adults.Moreover,pre-treatment with the antioxidants dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO),ascorbate and N-acetyl-L-cysteine(NAC),used to inhibit both the ROS elevation and the mitochondrial dysfunction caused by Pb exposure,at the L2-larval stage prevented the induction of oxidative damage and the formation of severe deficits in thermotaxis and structural properties of AFD sensory neurons in Pb-exposed young adults.Therefore,the formation of oxidative stress caused by Pb exposure may be due to both the induction of ROS elevation and damage to mitochondrial function,and oxidative stress may play a key role in inducing the neurotoxic effects on the structures and function of AFD sensory neurons in Pb-exposed nematodes.Qiuli Wu Peidang Liu Yinxia Li Min Du Xiaojuan Xing Dayong Wang 2012Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,4:3
7Current Advances in Epigenetic Modification and Alteration during Mammalian Ovarian Folliculogenesis显示文摘During the growth and development of mammalian ovarian follicles, the activation and deactivation of mass genes are under the synergistic control of diverse modifiers through genetic and epigenetic events. Many factors regulate gene activity and functions through epigenetic modification without altering the DNA sequence, and the common mechanisms may include but are not limited to: DNA methylation, histone modifications (e.g., acetylation, deacetylation, phosphorylation, methylation, and ubiquitination), and RNA- associated silencing of gene expression by noncoding RNA. Over the past decade, substantial progress has been achieved in studies involving the epigenetic alterations during mammalian germ cell development. A number of candidate regulatory factors have been identified. This review focuses on the current available information of epigenetic alterations (e.g., DNA methylation, histone modification, noncoding-RNA-mediated regulation) during mammalian folliculogenesis and recounts when and how epigenetic patterns are differen- tially established, maintained, or altered in this process. 9Influence of phosphorus availability on the community structure and physiology of cultured biofilms显示文摘Biofilms have important effects on nutrient cycling in aquatic ecosystems.However,publications about the community structure and functions under laboratory conditions are rare.This study focused on the developmental and physiological properties of cultured biofilms under various phosphorus concentrations performed in a closely controlled continuous flow incubator.The results showed that the biomass(Chl a)and photosynthesis of algae were inhibited under P-limitation conditions,while the phosphatase activity and P assimilation rate were promoted.The algal community structure of biofilms was more likely related to the colonization stage than with the phosphorus availability.Cyanobacteria were more competitive than other algae in biofilms,particularly when cultured under low P levels.A dominance shift occurred from non-filamentous algae in the early stage to filamentous algae in the mid and late stages under P concentrations of 0.01,0.1 and 0.6 mg/L.However,the total N content,dry weight biomass and bacterial community structure of biofilms were unaffected by phosphorus availability.This may be attributed to the low respiration rate,high accumulation of extracellular polymeric substances and high alkaline phosphatase activity in biofilms when phosphorus availability was low.The bacterial community structure differed over time,while there was little difference between the four treatments,which indicated that it was mainly affected by the colonization stage of the biofilms rather than the phosphorus availability.Altogether,these results suggested that the development of biofilms was influenced by the phosphorus availability and/or the colonization stage and hence determined the role that biofilms play in the overlying water.Shuangshuang Li Chun Wang Hongjie Qin Yinxia Li Jiaoli Zheng Chengrong Peng Dunhai Li 2016Journal of Environmental Sciences2016,28,4:1

11Short-ciphertext and BDH-based CCA2 secure certificateless encryption显示文摘Certificateless public key cryptosystem actually belongs to identity based cryptography, with an attractive characteristic that the private key generator does not have access to any user’s full private key. Most of the existing certificateless encryption schemes employ the FO-technique and/or strong assumptions, for example GBDH, Gap-BDH and BDHI, to achieve adaptive chosen ciphertext security (CCA2 security). However, FO-technique introduces redundancy in ciphertext, and strong assumption reduces our confidence in the security of the underlying scheme. In this paper, we present a short-ciphertext CCA2 secure certificateless encryption scheme under the standard BDH assumption. 18Light quality regulates plant biomass and fruit quality through a photoreceptor-dependent HY5-LHC/CYCB module in tomato显示文摘Increasing photosynthesis and light capture offers possibilities for improving crop yield and provides a sustainable way to meet the increasing global demand for food.However,the poor light transmittance of transparent plastic films and shade avoidance at high planting density seriously reduce photosynthesis and alter fruit quality in vegetable crops,and therefore it is important to investigate the mechanisms of light signaling regulation of photosynthesis and metabolism in tomato(Solanum lycopersicum).Here,a combination of red,blue,and white(R1W1B0.5)light promoted the accumulation of chlorophyll,carotenoid,and anthocyanin,and enhanced photosynthesis and electron transport rates by increasing the density of active reaction centers and the expression of the genes LIGHT-HARVESTING COMPLEX B(SlLHCB)and A(SlLHCA),resulting in increased plant biomass.In addition,R1W1B0.5 light induced carotenoid accumulation and fruit ripening by decreasing the expression of LYCOPENEβ-CYCLASE(SlCYCB).Disruption of SlCYCB largely induced fruit lycopene accumulation,and reduced chlorophyll content and photosynthesis in leaves under red,blue,and white light.Molecular studies showed that ELONGATED HYPOCOTYL 5(SlHY5)directly activated SlCYCB,SlLHCB,and SlLHCA expression to enhance chlorophyll accumulation and photosynthesis.Furthermore,R1W1B0.5 light-induced chlorophyll accumulation,photosynthesis,and SlHY5 expression were largely decreased in the slphyb1cry1 mutant.Collectively,R1W1B0.5 light noticeably promoted photosynthesis,biomass,and fruit quality through the photoreceptor(SlPHYB1 and SlCRY1)-SlHY5-SlLHCA/B/SlCYCB module in tomato.Thus,the manipulation of light environments in protected agriculture is a crucial tool to regulate the two vital agronomic traits related to crop production efficiency and fruit nutritional quality in tomato.Jiarong Yan Juan Liu Shengdie Yang Chenghao Jiang Yanan Liu Nan Zhang Xin Sun Ying Zhang Kangyou Zhu Yinxia Peng Xin Bu Xiujie Wang Golam Jalal Ahammed Sida Meng Changhua Tan Yufeng Liu Zhouping Sun Mingfang Qi Feng Wang Tianlai Li 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,12:0
19Methods and procedures to determine the outer limits of the continental shelf beyond 200 nautical miles显示文摘This paper establishes techniques and methods to determine a variety of boundaries associated with 200nautical miles beyond the continental shelf.The methods,based on topography,slope and second-derivative profile integrated analysis,are now able to identify automatically the foot of the continental slope(FOS).By analyzing the sedimentary profile,the points of 1%sediment thickness are recognized.Through the intersection,cut,deletion and mergence calculation of the extrapolated data set of fixed-point series,the method succeeds in generating automatically the extrapolated boundaries,including the FOS+60 M line,the 350 M line,and the 2 500 m+100 M line.In addition,based on the automatic analysis of the topographic profile,it can be applied to determine rapidly the points of maximum water depth.Taking the northern Okinawa Trough(OT)as an example,these methods are used to calculate and examine the boundaries included in the Submission by the People's Republic of China Concerning the Outer Limits of the Continental Shelf beyond 200 Nautical miles in Part of the East China Sea(ECS);the boundaries thus derived have a solid scientific and rational basis.WU Ziyin LI Jiabiao JIN Xianglong FANG Yinxia SHANG Jihong LI Shoujun 2013Acta Oceanologica Sinica2013,32,12:0
