1A review of the estimation of downward surface shortwave radiation based on satellite data:Methods, progress and problems显示文摘The estimation of downward surface shortwave radiation(DSSR)is important for the Earth’s energy budget and climate change studies.This review was organised from the perspectives of satellite sensors,algorithms and future trends,retrospects and summaries of the satellite-based retrieval methods of DSSR that have been developed over the past 10 years.The shortwave radiation reaching the Earth’s surface is affected by both atmospheric and land surface parameters.In recent years,studies have given detailed considerations to the factors which affect DSSR.It is important to improve the retrieval accuracy of cloud microphysical parameters and aerosols and to reduce the uncertainties caused by complex topographies and high-albedo surfaces(such as snow-covered areas)on DSSR estimation.This review classified DSSR retrieval methods into four categories:empirical,parameterisation,look-up table and machine-learning methods,and evaluated their advantages,disadvantages and accuracy.Further efforts are needed to improve the calculation accuracy of atmospheric parameters such as cloud,haze,water vapor and other land surface parameters such as albedo of complex terrain and bright surface,organically combine machine learning and other methods,use the new-generation geostationary satellite and polar orbit satellite data to produce highresolution DSSR products,and promote the application of radiation products in hydrological and climate models.Husi LETU Jiancheng SHI Ming LI Tianxing WANG Huazhe SHANG Yonghui LEI Dabin JI Jianguang WEN Kun YANG Liangfu CHEN 2020Science China Earth Sciences2020,63,6:8
2Macro-physical field of large diameter magnesium alloy billet electromagnetic direct-chill casting:A comparative study显示文摘A comprehensive two-dimensional axisymmetric mathematical model that couples transient electromagnetic force with fluid flow,heat transfer,and solidification was established to describe the interaction of multiphysics field during DC casting.The melt flow,heat transfer,and solidification characteristics under differential phase pulse magnetic field and differential phase low-frequency electromagnetic field(DP-PMF and DP-LFEF)were numerically investigated by means of numerical simulation during electromagnetic direct-chill(DC)casting of AZ31 alloy at the same casting conditions.The effects of differential phase electromagnetic fields on Lorentz forces distributions,melt flow,heat transfer,and liquid sump shape were discussed systematically.Based on measured current waveform,the results were compared with those obtained without magnetic field(MF)and under conventional pulse magnetic field(PMF)and low-frequency electromagnetic field(LFEF)under the same conditions.The results show that the application of magnetic fields can significantly change the solidification process of DC casting.Differential phase magnetic fields(DP-LFEF and DP-PMF)can effectively reduce the temperature of the melt in the liquid sump,and the shallower liquid sump depth can be obtained under the differential phase magnetic fields.A large velocity vibration amplitude and a lower temperature are available simultaneously under DP-PMF,resulting in more uniform temperature distribution.Yonghui Jia Xingrui Chen Qichi Le Hang Wang Lei Bao 2020Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2020,8,3:3

8Adaptive delay-energy balanced partial offloading strategy in Mobile Edge Computing networks显示文摘Mobile Edge Computing(MEC)-based computation offloading is a promising application paradigm for serving large numbers of users with various delay and energy requirements.In this paper,we propose a flexible MECbased requirement-adaptive partial offloading model to accommodate each user's specific preference regarding delay and energy consumption.To address the dimensional differences between time and energy,we introduce two normalized parameters and then derive the computational overhead of processing tasks.Different from existing works,this paper considers practical variations in the user request patterns,and exploits a flexible partial offloading mode to minimize computation overheads subject to tolerable delay,task workload and power constraints.Since the resulting problem is non-convex,we decouple it into two convex subproblems and present an iterative algorithm to obtain a feasible offloading solution.Numerical experiments show that our proposed scheme achieves a significant improvement in computation overheads compared with existing schemes.Shumei Liu Yao Yu Lei Guo Phee Lep Yeoh Branka Vucetic Yonghui Li 2023Digital Communications and Networks2023,9,6:0
9Design and implementation of the CAPS receiver显示文摘In this paper, based on analyses of the Chinese Area Positioning System (CAPS) satellite (GEO satellite) resources and signal properties, the signal power at the port of the receiver antenna is estimated, and the implementation projects are presented for a switching band C to band L CAPS C/A code receiver integrated with GPS receiver suite and for a CAPS dual frequency P code receiver. A microstrip receiving antenna is designed with high sensitivity and wide beam orientation, the RF front end of the C/A code and P code receivers, and a processor is designed for the navigation baseband. A single frequency CAPS C/A code receiver and a CAPS dual frequency P code receiver are built at the same time. A software process flow is provided, and research on relatively key techniques is also conducted, such as signal searching, code loop and carrier loop algorithms, a height assistant algorithm, a dual frequency difference speed measurement technique, a speed measurement technique using a single frequency source with frequency assistance, and a CAPS time correcting algorithm, according to the design frame of the receiver hardware. Research results show that the static plane positioning accuracy of the CAPS C/A code receiver is 20.5-24.6 m, height accuracy is 1.2-12.8 m, speed measurement accuracy is 0.13-0.3 m/s, dynamic plane positioning accuracy is 24.4 m, height accuracy is 3.0 m, and speed measurement accuracy is 0.24 m/s. In the case of C/A code, the timing accuracy is 200 ns, and it is also shown that the positioning accuracy of the CAPS precise code receiver (1σ ) is 5 m from south to north, and 0.8 m from east to west. 10Assessment of heavy metal pollution in Laizhou Bay(China)using the ecological risk index and the integrated biomarker response of the goby Acanthogobius ommaturus显示文摘We used the Integrated Biological Responses version 2(IBRv2)method to evaluate the biological eff ects of heavy metals in the sediments in Laizhou Bay,China on the benthic goby Acanthogobius ommaturus.In December 2018,gobies and sediments were collected from 15 stations.We measured the activities of defense enzymes and the contents of malondialdehyde(MDA)and metallothionein(MT)in the goby liver as well as the levels of heavy metals in the sediments and goby muscle tissue.Most of the heavy metal concentrations in sediment at each station were below the Class I criteria set by Chinese Standards for Marine Sediment Quality,and the Håkanson ecological risk index suggested low risk for the heavy metals.We found that A.ommaturus could eff ectively accumulate mercury,cadmium,arsenic,and zinc and that the contents of MT and MDA and the activities of glutathione peroxidase and glutathione reductase were suitable biomarkers of heavy metal pollution in this species.The IBRv2 method integrated these four biomarkers and discriminated stations according to heavy metal pollution.Higher IBRv2 values suggested more adverse eff ects in gobies,corroborating more serious heavy metal contamination.The stations with high IBRv2 values and high contents of heavy metals were mainly distributed in the west and northeast parts of the bay.These results show that the IBRv2 approach is a feasible strategy for assessing heavy metal pollution through biological response and biological status and that it can be implemented for environmental monitoring in Laizhou Bay.Maosheng LIU Hua XU Qiang ZOU Fei FANG Shan SUN Yuting ZHAO Xin HE Yonghui BO Lei YAO Yan FANG 2023Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2023,41,4:0
11Dynamic profiles of DNA methylation and the interaction with histone acetylation during fiber cell initiation of Gossypium hirsutum显示文摘Background:Fiber,as the main product of cotton,provides main raw material for the textile industry.Many key factors have been revealed a significant role in fiber cell development including Myb proteins,phytohormones,fatty acid metabolites,and epigenetic modifications.DNA methylation is one of the important epigenetic modifications to regulate plant development and responses to abiotic or biotic stimuli.In general,DNA methylation consisting of 5mC and 6mA regulates the chromatin structure and gene transcription to affect plant development,however,the detailed role and underlying mechanism of DNA methylation in the fiber development of cotton are yet vague.Results:Here,systematical study of the 5mC and 6mA DNA methylation profiles during the fiber initiation period of Xu142 and its glabrous mutant Xu142fl represented a clear alteration of global DNA methylation associated with fiber cell initiation.Then,the genome-wide identification of genes responsible for methylation regulation at the fifth carbon of cytosine and the sixth carbon of adenine of DNA was operated in Gossypium hirsutum.As a result,13,10,6,and 17 genes were identified for 5mC methylation,5mC demethylation,6mA methylation,and 6mA demethylation,respectively.We then investigated the tissue expression pattern of all these genes,and some genes showed higher expression levels in fiber initiation,among which some displayed a significant change in transcription between Xu142 and Xu142fl.The possible interaction between histone acetylation and DNA methylation in fiber initiation through in vitro culture was studied by dot blot,and the results showed that repressed histone deacetylation by Trichostatin A(TSA)inhibited the global DNA methylation,and some causal genes(e.g.,GhDMT13,GhDAMT2,GhALKBH12,GhDM7)were also identified.Conclusions:In this study,all the findings indicated the interplay between histone acetylation and DNA methylation,supporting their important roles and providing precious clues for the epigenetic modifications associated with DNA methylation in the fiber development of cotton.CHEN Guangyu LI Yonghui WEI Zhenzhen GAN Lei LIU Jisheng WANG Zhi 2022Journal of Cotton Research2022,5,1:0
12N:ZnO/MoS_(2)-heterostructured flexible synaptic devices enabling optoelectronic co-modulation for robust artificial visual systems显示文摘With the merits of non-contact,highly efficient,and parallel computing,optoelectronic synaptic devices combining sensing and memory in a single unit are promising for constructing neuromorphic computing and artificial visual chip.Based on this,a N:ZnO/MoS_(2)-heterostructured flexible optoelectronic synaptic device is developed in this work,and its capability in mimicking the synaptic behaviors is systemically investigated under the electrical and light signals.Versatile synaptic functions,including synaptic plasticity,long-term/short-term memory,and learning-forgetting-relearning property,have been achieved in this synaptic device.Further,an artificial visual memory system integrating sense and memory is emulated with the device array,and the visual memory behavior can be regulated by varying the light parameters.Moreover,the optoelectronic co-modulation behavior is verified by applying mixed electric and light signals to the array.In detail,a transient recovery property is discovered when the electric signals are applied in synergy during the decay of the light response,of which property facilitates the development of robust artificial visual systems.Furthermore,by superimposing electrical signals during the light response process,a differentiated response of the array is achieved,which can be used as a proof of concept for the color perception of the artificial visual system.Lei Xu Wenxiao Wang Yang Li Yonghui Lin Wenjing Yue Kai Qian Qinglei Guo Jeonghyun Kim Guozhen Shen 2024Nano Research2024,17,3:0

15Material decomposition of spectral CT images via attention-based global convolutional generative adversarial network显示文摘Spectral computed tomography(CT)based on photon counting detectors can resolve the energy of every single photon interacting with the sensor layer and be used to analyze material attenuation information under different energy ranges,which can be helpful for material decomposition studies.However,there is a considerable amount of inherent quantum noise in narrow energy bins,resulting in a low signal-to-noise ratio,which can consequently affect the material decomposition performance in the image domain.Deep learning technology is currently widely used in medical image segmentation,denoising,and recognition.In order to improve the results of material decomposition,we propose an attention-based global convolutional generative adversarial network(AGC-GAN)to decompose different materials for spectral CT.Specifically,our network is a global convolutional neural network based on an attention mechanism that is combined with a generative adversarial network.The global convolutional network based on the attention mechanism is used as the generator,and a patchGAN discriminant network is used as the discriminator.Meanwhile,a clinical spectral CT image dataset is used to verify the feasibility of our proposed approach.Extensive experimental results demonstrate that AGC-GAN achieves a better material decomposition performance than vanilla U-Net,fully convolutional network,and fully convolutional denseNet.Remarkably,the mean intersection over union,structural similarity,mean precision,PAcc,and mean F1-score of our method reach up to 87.31%,94.83%,93.22%,97.39%,and 93.05%,respectively.Xiaodong Guo Peng He Xiaojie Lv Xuezhi Ren Yonghui Li Yuanfeng Liu Xiaohua Lei Peng Feng Hongming Shan 2023Nuclear Science and Techniques2023,34,3:0
16Analysis of Disastrous Climate and Its Coping Mechanisms and Measures in the Tobacco-growing Areas of Luzhou显示文摘Flue-cured tobacco is one of the main pillar industries for increasing fiscal efficiency and tobacco farmers' income in Gulin and Xuyong counties. However,the annual loss caused by natural disasters such as low temperature and rain,rainstorm and flood,high temperature and drought,and hail accounts for about 20%,and they have become one of the important factors restricting the development of tobacco industry in Luzhou. In recent years,a lot of work has been done in disaster prevention and mitigation in the process of flue-cured tobacco production,and certain results have been achieved. However,it still needs further exploration and research in the face of natural disasters that are gradually changing frequently and even develop in a normal way. 17High-speed electro-optic modulation in topological interface states of a one-dimensional lattice显示文摘lectro-optic modulators are key components in data communication,microwave photonics,and quantum photonics.Modulation bandwidth,energy efficiency,and device dimension are crucial metrics of modulators.Here,we provide an important direction for the miniaturization of electro-optic modulators by reporting on ultracompact topological modulators.A topological interface state in a one-dimensional lattice is implemented on a thin-film lithium-niobate integrated platform.Due to the strong optical confinement of the interface state and the peaking enhancement of the electro-optic response,a topological cavity with a size of 1.6×140μm^(2)enables a large modulation bandwidth of 104 GHz.The first topological modulator exhibits the most compact device size compared to reported LN modulators with bandwidths above 28 GHz,to the best of our knowledge.100 Gb/s non-return-to-zero and 100 Gb/s four-level pulse amplitude modulation signals are generated.The switching energy is 5.4 fJ/bit,owing to the small electro-optic mode volume and low capacitance.The topological modulator accelerates the response time of topological photonic devices from the microsecond order to the picosecond order and provides an essential foundation for the implementation of large-scale lithium-niobate photonic integrated circuits.Yong Zhang Jian Shen Jingchi Li Hongwei Wang Chenglong Feng Lei Zhang Lu Sun Jian Xu Ming Liu Ying Wang Yonghui Tian Jianwen Dong Yikai Su 2023Light(Science & Applications)2023,12,9:0
18Bioinspired Closed-loop CPG-based Control of a Robotic Manta for Autonomous Swimming显示文摘Fish in nature exhibit a variety of swimming modes such as forward swimming,backward swimming,turning,pitching,etc.,enabling them to swim in complex scenes such as coral reefs.It is still difficult for a robotic fish to swim autonomously in a confined area as a real fish.Here,we develop an untethered robotic manta as an experimental platform,which consists of two flexible pectoral fins and a tail fin,with three infrared sensors installed on the front,left,and right sides of the head to sense the surrounding obstacles.To generate multiple swimming modes of the robotic manta and online switching of different modes,we design a closed-loop Central Pattern Generator(CPG)controller based on distance information and use a combination of phase difference and amplitude of the CPG model to achieve stable and rapid adjustment of yaw angle.To verify the autonomous swimming ability of the robotic manta in complex scenes,we design an experimental scenario with a concave obstacle.The experimental results show that the robotic manta can achieve forward swimming,backward swimming,in situ turning within the concave obstacle,and finally exit from the area safely while relying on the perception of external obstacles,which can provide insight into the autonomous exploration of complex scenes by the biomimetic robotic fish.Finally,the swimming ability of the robotic manta is verified by field tests.Yiwei Hao Yonghui Cao Yingzhuo Cao Xiong Mo Qiaogao Huang Lei Gong Guang Pan Yong Cao 2024Journal of Bionic Engineering2024,21,1:0
19Identification of a 10-pseudogenes signature as a novel prognosis biomarker for ovarian cancer显示文摘The outcomes of ovarian cancer are complicated and usually unfavorable due to their diagnoses at a late stage.Identifying the efficient prognostic biomarkers to improve the survival of ovarian cancer is urgently warranted.The survival-related pseudogenes retrieved from the Cancer Genome Atlas database were screened by univariate Cox regression analysis and further assessed by least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(LASSO)method.A risk score model based on the prognostic pseudogenes was also constructed.The pseudogene-mRNA regulatory networks were established using correlation analysis,and their potent roles in the ovarian cancer progression were uncovered by functional enrichment analysis.Lastly,ssGSEA and ESTIMATE algorithms was used to evaluate the levels of immune cell infiltrations in cancer tissues and explore their relationship with risk signature.A prediction model of 10-pseudogenes including RPL10P6,AC026688.1,FAR2P4,AL391840.2,AC068647.2,FAM35BP,GBP1P1,ARL4AP5,RPS3AP2,and AMD1P1 was established.The 10-pseudogenes signature was demonstrated to be an independent prognostic factor in patient with ovarian cancer in the random set(hazard ratio[HR]=2.512,95%confidence interval[CI]=2.03–3.11,P<0.001)and total set(HR=1.71,95%CI=1.472–1.988,P<0.001).When models integrating with age,grade,stage,and risk signature,the Area Under Curve(AUC)of the 1-year,3-year,5-year and 10-year Receiver Operating Characteristic curve in the random set and total set were 0.854,0.824,0.855,0.805 and 0.679,0.697,0.739,0.790,respectively.The results of functional enrichment analysis indicated that the underlying mechanisms by which these pseudogenes influence cancer prognosis may involve the immune-related biological processes and signaling pathways.Correlation analysis showed that risk signature was significantly correlated with immune cell infiltration and immune score.We identified a novel 10-pseudogenes signature to predict the survival of patients with ovarian cancer,and that may serve as novel possible prognostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets for ovarian cancer.YONGHUI YU SONGHUI XU ERYONG ZHAO YONGSHUN DONG JINBIN CHEN BOQI RAO JIE ZENG LEI YANG JIACHUN LU FUMAN QIU 2022BIOCELL2022,46,4:0
